Paid extra for a consultant to come out with the regular maintenance person and evaluate my lawn. When they came I had bare spots on lawn that I thought was due to the hot weather. They sprayed for weeds and fertilized my lawn. A month later no grass was growing in the areas so I started digging the compacted ground areas and replaced with sod. In the other areas up front I started digging and realized the ground was soft compared to the other area which I thought was odd. Upon further inspection I found numerous grub worms, I started doing a spot checks in other areas and found more grubs worms! I was very dissatisfied they did not even do a core sample when it was my first visit with this company and they missed a huge infestation, I wouldn’t of even known if I didn’t do their job myself and fix my lawn so on top of the money I paid them I had to go out and buy grub poison. Another thing is after they came none of the weeds even died. Yes the grass was greener but that doesn’t really matter when the weeds start abundantly growing as well and do not die. For the 60$ I bought three months worth of weed and weed and insect killer, I ended up spreading my lawn myself and got very quick results just a week later. All in all I’m very dissatisfied with the careless service I feel like they just hurry along and don’t take the time and care that lawn America did when they treated my neighbors lawns before trugreen took over.
I cannot speak to their product and quality of work. I filled out a questionnaire online and was literally bombarded with sales calls for the next 48 hours. I do not appreciate high pressure sales and hung up on them, only to have them call back repeatedly for 20 minutes straight. After 20 minutes I blocked the number and stand firm in my decision to never use their service. I am choosing a competitor based on the sales team alone. TruGreen, when someone says no, learn that no means no. That is a great lesson for all areas in life.
I have been trying to cancel TruGreen because of a few things that I didnt like about their service, but the response Ive gotten is maddening. I have tried cancelling with them over the phone and online, and they still showed up to my house to give me a service. I of course told them to leave. They called and said it was time for my service and I again told them no, Im trying to cancel. Just today, theyve called me five times, four of those were in a span of 10 minutes. But when I call back, I just get put on hold! Once I finally got someone who would listen to my complaints, SHE HUNG UP ON ME. So unprofessional and irritating.
I cancelled my service today after 2 years. I am disappointed with the actual product and service. Ultimately, I dont trust they are performing the services they claim to be performing. I have seen their tech arrive, spend 5 minutes and get back in the truck. There is no way they could have performed the services listed on their invoice. If they did perform the service then the product itself is inferior to other services. If you ever have to contact TruGreen go through the sales option on the phone tree. Otherwise, plan on being on hold for at least 15 minutes. I am typically very loyal to companies unless there is obvious neglect in the service or the product. Click off this review and find a better service. Disappointing.
First issue: My lawn still looks bad after 1 year. Weeds are gone, but overall quality is low.Second issue: Their technician ran over / damaged one of our columns. After looking at the damage, he just drove off. To make matters worse, I called to file a complaint and no one ever got back to me. I would highly suggest using a different, locally owned company and not a national chain brand like this. They honestly just dont care about the customer.
The technician did not perform his duties. He walked into the yard and turned around and left. When I went out and politely spoke to him and ask him to do the service he was scheduled to do, he cursed at me and became very belligerent and rude.I called the company on the day this happened and asked to speak with a supervisor and they have not attempted to reach me. I believe they have no interest because I told the customer service rep how the technician behaved so they don’t want to hear anything because I have already canceled my account. They also had the nerve to go ahead and charge me for the service. I would not recommend this lawn service for weed control as I have had the problem before with technicians not doing the service they were sent out to perform. I just have never been able to catch one to speak with them because they are only there a matter of five minutes for the front and the backyard. I would not recommend this lawn service to anyone.
I discovered Army Worms in my yard. I called Tru Green to get it addressed. Was forced to buy a lawn care program vs getting a one time treatment. After a week, they finally show up with no notice. We live in 2021 and this company has no ability to tell you a window of time other then the entire day of when they are going to show up. So of course they show up when I am dropping my kids off at school. So they then dont check with me about any issues with my lawn (like the fact I have new sod) and then DONT even spray for the Army Worms!!!
They have ruined my yard. Have paid them since the fall could not wait to see my lawn in the spring and it looks horrid. DIFFERENT people always coming out that did not even know what treatment was needed. So upset. Canceled my service and they dont even care. I just added photos, still no results and they dont even bother to contact me, I filed a report with the BBB as well. Its June and still no green grass or a solution. Look at these pictures!

Started back with Trugreen after years of not be able to afford to have them take care of my yard, not impressed at all. Have had two treatments and I dont see any improvement in my yard at all, the crabgrass is flourishing more than when they started if things dont change with next treatment Im getting a refund for the rest of the year I paid for in advance not HAPPY at all, was told with last treatment that the would start turning brown and dying in 6 to 8 days to 2 weeks, havent seen any of that at all and they were a week late on the last treatment!
They actually did a good job with the lawn until today. The guy that came out today, just put the bill on my door and the sign in my lawn without spraying. Then he sat in his vehicle for 15-30 minutes. Everyone can have a bad apple, so I planned to just complain.Customer service says I will be on hold for 2 HOURS. Its been three hours. When they cut customer service to the bone like this it is a bad sign, so Ive changed my mind to cancelling.edit ... now 1 starIts now 2:30PM on Saturday. They told me 2 hours on Friday around 10:30 or 11 AM. Im googling how to unsubscribe from a company that wont answer the phone. May need a robo-lawyer to kill this relationship.
TruGreen is a waste of money! Ive been with them 4 years and Im over their GARBAGE!. Please see the pictures Ive posted showing the weeds in my yard this morning.Every year I spend over $300+ with them and every year I have problems.1. Each year I spend countless hours having to hand pull weeds from my yard because their service doesnt get rid of them.2. Each year I spend at least an additional $200+ in lawn care products (Scotts weed and feed/others) from Lowes to compensate for their horrible service.3. They have scheduled services and charged me without my permission. Last summer without my authorization, they came out and performed an aeration and charged me $179. Yes, they refunded me but only after countless phone calls and complaints.Do yourself a favor and stop paying these guys each month for their horrible service! Go buy a push spreader from Lowes and Scotts seasonal weed control/turf builder and fertilize your own lawn every month or every other month. I takes 15 minutes and cost about $20-40 each time. It worth 2 hrs and $300 each year to have the best looking yard and too not have to put up with TruGreen and their GARBAGE!

Don’t do it. You save money by just doing it yourself. TruGreen only cares about the initial sale and then after that, you pretty much have to beg for service.
Signing up for text notifications is very handy. You know when your technician will be there, so no surprises on that part. I like the real-time locater service that give you an approximate window of when your technician will arrive. Helps to keep everyone in the loop.
We have had 3 different technians come out to our home. The first one spent about 4 minutes total in the front and backyard and barely covered even a quarter of the yard. We called and spoke to the customer service and they informed us to wait 3 weeks to see the results and that they are trained to move fast. Three weeks later, not a single change. The second technician comes out and he pretty much did the same job as the previous one. Three weeks later, no change in our yard. Then the third guy comes, and I happened to catch him in his truck. I questioned him on why we werent seeing any results yet and he informed me that he had noticed that our backyard was a giant weed and he was at that moment trying to get in touch with his supervisor. He then pulled up the notes from our last treatment and it stated that only 20 percent of the yard was treated with weed killer. So the techincan said they would send someone out for free to treat the whole yard. We waited a week and no one showed up. We checked the app to see if anything was scheduled and it was not on there. I then contacted the office and spoke to an extremely rude man on the phone who notified me that they would be at my home onTuesday. Tuesday came and no one showed up. I then called the customer service line and the lady that I spoke with, who was actually pretty pleasant and embarrassed about the service we have so far received, couldnt find anything in our file as to why they didnt show up. I explained to her that we at least need to know what day they are going to service our yard because we have to unlock the gate. She said she noticed in our file that that was mentioned in it. There is so much more to this story but quite frankly, Im tired of typing. The whole point is that these people have no business charging people for products and service that doesnt work at all. The customer service is some of the worst I have ever dealt with and it seems that their is no accountability and whoever runs this location seriously needs to be replaced.I sent the email on Friday. I have not received a response yet. I just sent it again. We just had our free service this morning. While it was raining. My daughter asked me who was in the backyard cursing and I look out the window and it is one of your lovely employees. He was talking on the phone while treating the yard and I guess he didnt feel like maybe he should use some professionalism while on the clock. It is absolutely absurd that we have had so many issues. The treatment that was done today was a waste of time because of the rain and from what I saw, once again, my yard wasnt covered like it was supposed to be.
They killed my entire front yard with whatever they sprayed on it! And of course no one ever calls back or comes to see what they can do to fix it. Terrible!
I used TruGreen thinking they may be the best due to their higher cost. I was wrong. Initially they treated our yard, which I had told them we were working to put up for sale. Fescue grass was burned due to over fertilizing or just sloppy spillage. Later we had weed issues as our lawn was fescue and bermuda. They came out to treat the missed weeds, but only treated what they could see. I had tried to get them to come before I mowed so they could see, but they couldn’t do it. Finally I called and told them to just quit treating it. They went ahead and treated again. We sold the house in a few days. Living at another address now, I receive monthly bills from last year, for a house I’ve not owned in 8 months. Very unprofessional and remember each time they come out it’s a different crew so there’s also no consistency. Never again.
Called and set up service for weed control and fertilizer. Received a text a few days later that they would be coming out the next day. Problem is it is going to rain all day that day, so they dont pay attention to the weather. The guy told me they couldnt spray if it was going to rain. Tried to get ahold of someone to cancel, could only do it through automated call. Tried to get ahold of a live person and failed for an hour and a half. Finally got someone after selecting number for new customer, he transferred me right back to automated line. Went to live chat online and was able to get a number from virtual assistant to cancel and was able to completely cancel all service from them, I cant stand not being able to get ahold of a live person.
They call to remind me of their upcoming service. Seeding, aeration, and fertilizer have all been included. Detailed care suggestions are left on my door after each service. I now have grass under a tree that hasn’t been there for the thirty years I have lived here. One bad thing is I have to mow more often. I used another service for years. I quit because it was a waste of money and did not achieve any visible results. I have been very pleased and would recommend their service.
This is the 2nd time they sent me a text to let me know that they finished my house but never came.... No fertilizer, no sign, no invoice or instructions... been on hold for 25 minutes on their 800 line (called the 437 but forwarded)..
Going on my 2nd year of using TruGreen and my lawn still has dead spots and looks terrible in some areas. I called to resolved the issue and after being on hold for a long time an automated system tells me my hold time is 1-2 hours. This has happened 3x now. I dont think it is a fair ask to have clients wait 1-2 hours every time they call for a live person.

Second year to have service with them and this company is absolutely horrible. They cant keep the weeds away, always try to upsell another product to you, and they dont come out on time. If there was another company that services my area I would use them instead. This company sucks, please choose another company.
We’ve had to call them many times because they halfway do the job, skip parts of the yard, only do half of the service etc. Not to mention it never helps our yard. Today I recorded the guy, and not only did he skip huge sections of the yard completely, but he took wide turns in the areas he actually went, so it wasn’t really coving everything.. I ended up confronting him, and he proceeded to tell me he did the area I was pointing at, and I let him know I watched him the whole time, and he most certainly skipped the whole section. He also claimed he didn’t know another area was even part of out yard. He went back out, and literally did the area “he didn’t know was ours” then talked to another true green employee who was doing the neighbors yard, and never did the other areas he completely skipped! We usually pay for a year at a time, and have been a customer for years. Yet, anytime we watch them, they halfway do it..I will never use them again! So disappointed!
I have tried to cancel my service. After TrueGreen took over Lawn America, our yard looked terrible for a year. The local representative told me that she could not cancel my account. She told me I have to call corporate to cancel and if the technician comes and services my yard (where we no longer live) they will still charge me. This company is terrible. I am still on the phone waiting to speak with corporate. I miss Lawn America. We now use Pinkstons.
In reading the reviews, others have complained about customer service. When I called, the customer service call center had a 1 to 2 hour wait time!! Tried different phone numbers, including new customer service and the local number - just transferred to the customer service call center. TruGreen has nonexistent customer service communication!
Our first house had a wild onion problem and TruGreen took care of it immediately. We moved and transferred service. The builder used really cheap sod so it was full of weeds and half dead at best. I thought we were going to have to treat for 2 years to notice it was so bad. Nope, by the second application it was already under control. A year later, our yard looks amazing!
Braxton was very professional and polite. He got right on the job and seemed to really focus on the various areas in our yard that need help.
Our lawn has never looked worse than since we used TruGreen. I unfortunately paid upfront for a years worth of service but will never use this company again. Their serviceman told me that sorry about your weeds, they must be strong. Thats just unacceptable.
This will be the last year I will ever use TruGreen. Ive been a customer of Tru Green for 8 years. When I first started using them I had a beautiful yard for 5, 6 years. The last couple of years the quality of their work has gone way down. I have crabgrass, Johnson grass all over my yard. I have brought this matter to the attention of the tech that comes out, which is different every time. Nothing has changed, only worse.
The technicians are always efficient and my lawn has looked great for the 20 years that I have used their services. I recommend them.
I do not recommend True Green. So far, they have debuted my card about $755 without rendering any service!First of all, a representative called months ago to set up the service I usually use - 2 treatments. They never came. After being out of town for three weeks, I came home to a yard filled with tall weeds.So I called. The man on the line was very hurried. Charged my card the price of $117 before doing anything. In the past, they’d debit my card after each treatment. Now all at once before anything is done.Then I went on my bank account and saw that they debited an additional $637 for some plan I didn’t order. I called about it while it was still pending yesterday. Nothing happened. Today the charge has gone through. I called and they told me it would take 3 to 5 business days to credit my card. I’ve asked for a manager, and 2 hours later, I haven’t been contacted.So there you go, $755 and no service.

They often did the wrong yard. I would get billed and my neighbor would get upset because he did not want the services. They are impossible to reach on the phone.
I was a lawnamarica customer and they were ok but trugreen bought them and they are pretty bad. technicians are not thorough, applications take about 3-5 minutes for them to complete (shoddy). i have been attempting all week to cancel my trugreen service. they keep trying to talk me out of it, trying to make it right. the website doesnt allow me to remove my credit card and so far, no one i have spoken to will remove it. i am extremely dissatisfied.
After years of service there is little to no improvement with the quality of our lawn. I can still go out and fill a 30 gallon bag of weeds today from just the front yard. There is no personal care with their service. No one is coming by to check on the condition of your lawn or to make any recommendations. They simply show up every two months - spend 5 minutes spreading treatment - then send you a bill.

Trugreen sprayed our dog with poison. The employee was supposed to let us know before spraying the yard so not only our pets, but our children would also know when it was not safe to go outside after the treatment. Instead the employee wanted to finish quickly and sprayed with our dog in the yard the entire time. When we realized what he was doing and confronted him, he first lied then admitted he sprayed poison on our dog and we’d better bathe it off of her. I’ve since learned from many neighbors this company has many customer satisfaction complaints. I’d advise NOT using them, but at least do your research first to see how many other people have had issues with their poor service.
Used products I asked them not to. Came 4 hours after the estimated window. Got the product on the concrete and pathways to the point I had to wash them. Definitely would not recommend
Terrible communication and service! Computer automatically schedules but they dont show up. This used to be Lawn America owned by an individual, once it got sold to TruGreen its been terrible.
I was previously with Lawn America and TruGreen bought Lawn America. With Lawn America, I had personable service and the technicians would call me directly. With TruGreen, it was quite the opposite. I would get automated calls saying someone is coming out but it would never say why. The technician would come out, ring my door bell, and leave without leaving a note or calling. This happened for a month, I took time out of my day to call them and they couldnt find any reason they were coming out so they told me they would let the local office know but no one from the local office called me. They are extremely lacking on customer service and communications. I have now cancelled my TruGreen service and went to West Lawn Care with much better customer service and a cheaper price!
The customer service is great and my lawn has never looked better!
The young man who serviced us was very polite and listened to my concerns and instructions. He was knowledgeable and informative. The lawn was covered in weeds and in one week time has shown much improvement. I opted for the two treatment plan which was very affordable. Very happy with True Green so far!
Before lawn America was taken over by true green, i was a customer for 5 years never had any issues. Since true green has taken over. My years has been horrible . They never come out when they say they will, you don’t get a courtesy call if they reschedule. True green is a horrible company and the quality of Their work is subpar. Never again will I work with this company. They don’t even care to fix any problems that arise. Customer service is horrible
When you sign a year contract and pay for a year upfront to get the discount they dont tell you that you automatically get enrolled into the next year unless you call and cancel ahead of time. They also tell you its for a year worth of service but its only for 8 sprays so if they decide to come spray your yard 10 times in that year they expect you to pay for the 2 extra sprays even when they are still in the year time frame.
The cost and time we would put in to our own lawn was worth hiring this company. And we monitor and can turn down different services they recommend. So a good investment for us.
I just received a phone call today from a debt collector regarding this company from a service that was “supposedly done” over a year ago, my grass was awful when they treated it and they never kept a scheduled appointment so even knows if they actually did the service. I never received a bill from them as i pay my bills in a timely fashion but i was sent to collections for this but anyways it’s paid but people save your money and time and find another lawn servicing company for sure.
They took over the lawn business I’ve used for a long time (with no problems) and this last treatment they did was garbage. I have more weeds now than I’ve ever had. I cancelled my business with them the day I learned they took over and “treated” my yard because I had them years ago in the past and was unsatisfied. I had no problem paying them for that day’s treatment, but I called and asked them to come retreat it due to all the weeds before I would pay them and they said no because I am no longer their customer and it’s been more than 30 days. I don’t think it should matter how many days have gone by, they didn’t do ANYTHING to kill the weeds in my yard. I took pictures and will hold on to them for necessary action of proof if they don’t decide to leave me alone and stop billing me for a service that looks like was never completed.
1st year wonderful . Lawn looked beautiful .They had a disgruntled worker that we asked, do not send again . Sent him several more times knowing that he was Not doing his job .This went on for a year to no avail . Their making over a years non existent treatments right was to make the next single treatment right . Local management came out and said this doesnt look good at all, but i am watching my employee.They have come out to do a treatment, rung the doorbell wich my wife purposely did not answer .They sat in truck filled out what all they had done placed on door and left .Local management was no help whatsoever !

My specialist Joe is very courteous and professional in communicating his intentions and answering questions regarding my lawn and service provided. In addition to the aforementioned, I would however like to take the time to say that my lawn has some patches of grass that do not look like the surrounding areas and I mentioned to Joe and he said I should call and ask for a re-service or reapplication of weed control. I thought he as very helpful.
I was with Lawn America and they were awesome! As spring started approaching, I noticed our yard was not looking very good. I called to inquire and found out TruGreen bought Lawn America. I was with TrueGreen before Lawn America and fired them. I’m going to fire them again. Trugreen has had over a month to get this fixed and corrected. They keep telling me what I want to hear.TRUGREEN SUCKS!!!! IF I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS I WOULD.
Absolutely terrible experience. The representative that signed me up said they guaranteed we would never see mosquitos between monthly sprays and if we did to contact him and they would come spray again free of charge. We had them from June through October and never had a day WITHOUT mosquitos. We called and messaged multiple times between sprays every single month. The first month they came out to re-spray 3 times and still no break from the mosquitos. The representative then started ignoring my messages, calls and voicemails, so I called the company directly and was told they would come out and spray but they never did and the only time I would hear from them was when they called to say they were coming to do their monthly spray (which was always when I was at work) and anytime I called them back I couldnt get ahold of someone and never got a call back.Now a year later they are trying to say I owe them money for services this year that I never signed up for! I got a letter saying my spot was reserved if I wanted to renew my services to fill out the paper and mail back or call. I never did because I did not want to waste another $300 on nothing. Then they started calling me nonstop, always an automated call and did not have an option to speak to a representative. It gives you the option to get taken off the call list which I did, and now I get a letter saying I have an outstanding bill and getting calls again about starting up my service. This is HARASSMENT after they refused to make it right when they messed up their guaranteed services. Absolutely horrendous behavior. Do not use them.
Tru-Green was quick and easy. The man who applied the weed/feed was very nice. Plus, the app is great!
I hate that I have to get them 1 star! They deserve 0 stars!Weve used them for years and have had nothing but issues.When they called this year to set things up, I told them I wasnt sure about using them. they offered me a good price and sent me an email agreement to sign... they were very clear that the email link had to be clicked in order for them to come out... the email came and the price was higher than discussed! I did NOT click the link in the email. They came out anyway! We talked on the phone, I explained what happened. They said they were given approval... (liars). I told them NOT to come back, we were using someone else. They said okay. Our new guy came and sprayed a non-deluded weed killer. He said it was very important that we dont add any more product or it will burn up the grass.Well guess what!? True Green came out today again! just two days after my guy sprayed! If my grass burns up, they will be laying fresh sod down to replace what they destroyed!Stay away from True Green!
I am so frustrated and upset! I hired TruGreen to do my yard due to a crab grass problem in my backyard only. I was worried about it spending to my front yard which I have always taken good care of. I put down weed and feed every spring in my front yard only with terrific results every year. This year I decided to contact TruGreen instead of doing it myself to try to rid the crabgrass before it spread any further. Right after the first application I noticed a large amount of brown areas. After the 2nd application I noticed the brown areas were turning bare. I called them and they sent someone out to access the situation. I was told that the bare spots were posing weeds that were dying. Nope! They did another application which made everything much worse! Trouble is, what little bit of poiana weed in my front yard was alive and thriving I took pictures. Everything else was dead! Same in my backyard! All the grass died but the crabgrass was thriving and spreading like crazy. I called to tell them again of my situation and all I got was.. We are sorry! Now, in the meantime ever since my grass was all dead, I have been breaking my already bad back trying to sow grass seeds in the bare areas, front yard only! My backyard is too far gone! I was never told they also put down an emergent which keeps things from growing.. Including grass seed! I have already spent almost $200 on all different types of grass seeds plus manually tilling it in the ground which the emergent has made my soil just like concrete! I can actually see how my soil is a milky white and like concrete! Still no grass coming up at all! I feel like they should have evaluated the lawn first before just coming out and spraying whatever they used to kill out my yard! Even though I know about the emergent since my last call to them, I still keep spending every evening raking and trying to loosen the soil and constant watering with hopes the last batch of grass seed sprouts! I will stick with my bags of Scotts weed and feed from now on! My lawn has never looked this bad! Its not a lawn anymore, just dry dirt!
WENT ONLINE TO GET A QUOTE. GOT BUSY AT WORK AND THEY BLEW MY PHONE UP CALLING ME AT 0949, 1020, AND AGAIN AT 1053 WHICH I FINALLY STEPPED OUT OF MY MEETING TO ANSWER. I ASKED WHY THEY WERE BLOWING MY PHONE UP AND IMMEDIATELY GOT AN ATTITUDE FROM REGINA (IN THE SALES DEPT), STATING IT WAS NOT ME IT WAS THE DIALER WHO CALLED YOU. THEN HUNG UP. I CALLED BACK WANTING TO SPEAK WITH A SUPERVISOR AND EXPLAINED THE SITUATION I WAS HAVING WITH THE LADY ON THE PHONE WHO INFORMED ME THAT THERE WAS NO DIALER THAT THEY ACTUALLY DIAL THE NUMBERS THEMSELVES. SO NOW I GOT AN ATTITUDE AND LIED TO. WITH AN EMPLOYEE SHOWING THAT KIND OF LACK OF INTEGRITY, IM NOT SURE ILL EVER DO BUSINESS WITH TRUGREEN.
I paid for a full year of service. The results were unsatisfactory, and I had to keep calling for retreatments. So, I wanted to explore other options. They came out again and sprayed my yard after my year was up without my consent, and then billed me for it. I would not reccomend TruGreen to anyone.
They literally could have sprinkled water on my lawn and it would have looked exactly the same. I called and complained several times. Don’t waste your money!
Despite the drought our lawn and shrubs have looked nice and weed free. The specialists have done a great job and kept us informed. The office has worked with us because of the watering restrictions.
My Specialist is Stephen Robinson. He is always friendly, informative & professional. He answers my questions when I have them and is knowledgeable about my lawns specific issues.He knows about my dogs and is very careful to make sure they dont get out the gate when Im not home. I appreciate his thoughtfulness!

I did NOT click the link in the email. They came out anyway! We talked on the phone, I explained what happened. They said they were given approval... (liars). I told them NOT to come back, we were using someone else. They said okay. Our new guy came and sprayed a non-deluded weed killer. He said it was very important that we dont add any more product or it will burn up the grass.Well guess what!? True Green came out today again! just two days after my guy sprayed! If my grass burns up, they will be laying fresh sod down to replace what they destroyed!Stay away from True Green!
We have been extremely satisfied with the lawn service that Trugreen has provided over the years! The lawn specialist is always friendly, knowledgeable, and greets us with a smile. Everyone tells us we have the greenest and best looking lawn in town!
We recently switched our lawn care to TruGreen and have been highly satisfied with the results. I noticed some of our trees and shrubs shows signs of disease and insects and was planning to call TruGreen when a TruGreen representative came by on a routine check-up. We walked through the entire yard and discussed various issues and solutions. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and professional. Weve started to see an improvement and hope to see more.
This is our 3rd year with TruGreen and my yard is one of the best looking yards in the neighborhood due to their service. They do a great job. If there was a downside, I wish they get rid of the Dallisgrass that pops up in mid to late summer. Other than that, their service is great!
The worst lawn treatment company I have ever dealt with. They dont deserve one star. Two consecutive years of striping caused by only applying fertilizer on half the yard. They water down their pre-emergent treatment in half so they can charge you for 2 treatments when only one full strength treatment is needed. I even had my next door neighbor report to me that when the tech did come, on two occasions they only took two laps around the outside of my lawn, then left. This was my experience in midtown Tulsa for 3 1/2 years. I fired them and hired another lawn treatment company and my yard was perfect in 6 months. Also, after I fired them, I stated that I wanted my address removed from their mailing list. It took a year of repeated phone calls for this to actually happen. Every year, I post a comparison photo between TruGreen and the other company I hired just to show people the difference. Horrible service from this company.
Im not sure what you mean by most recent visit, as a visit was scheduled for yesterday, but due to weather, didnt happen. Ive yet to receive a rescheduled call.In general, though, Im very happy with TruGreen. I live in a new development next to some empty lots, so a lot of weeds blow into my yard in the spring. Working with my TruGreen specialist, we usually conquer the weeds and my yard looks picture perfect!
They have horrible customer service. I would not recommend them to anyone.

We started off with a BEAUTIFUL LAWN! Whatever they used to treat it KILLED all of our grass! They refuse to contact us. We have called 4 times and still no follow up. Poor customer service!
I had my checkbook stolen three months ago. Someone wrote a check to them from this book (the account is closed. ) the bank called me. Now it will be sent back as a closed account. But when I called customer service I was informed that Trugreen does not keep a record of who writes checks. I spent 45 minutes on the phone to have them tell me that some accounts just get real far behind and they dont have any idea if they have been paid or not. What a joke! They also informed me if I tried to call the local Trugreen that it would be passed back to them and I would get the same answer. So if you are from the Tulsa market and you have a check come back returned IT IS STOLEN. Why you would not want to know if beyond me. It makes me think that maybe you are worried it is an employee.
Technician was friendly, knowledgeable, cleanly dressed and professional in his contact with me. He did his work promptly, left me a full description of what he did and left.

I Purchased one year of weed service at my new home a few months ago. If you are not a member yet, and you become one, you will soon learn how often they call you every single day. They try and upsell like crazy. After about 20 phone calls within the first month I requested to be put on the do not call list and that I was happy with the services I chose. The phone calls continued. I asked again, please stop calling me trying to upsell your products. They said that they would take me off the list again. I received more phone calls. I even tried to call the corporate number and request that they remove me from their call list two months ago. I even tried blocking every single phone number that came from this business, but my attempts were futile. Just this past week I received another phone call from a Littlerock number of Trugreen saying that they were going to be on my street again and that I should purchase an upgrade to my service. I had enough. I canceled my services and requested a prorated refund. Absolutely the worst business I have ever been contracted with.By the way, the phone call experiences are one thing… The service is another. After months and months and many applications… I still have weeds. I live in a nice neighborhood. I don’t live on a farm where maybe 99% of my ground cover was weeds. I digress. I’ve wasted enough time with this company and even writing this review pains me to spend a second interacting with them.For the remainder of my life I will make sure that none of my friends or family signed up for services with this company. I can’t imagine them having to deal with what I had to deal with. I don’t have time for that nonsense.

TruGreen as a whole is a good company. The service in Tulsa not so much. I was baited in with low fees, lied too about how many treatments my yard would need, and then had treatments applied to my yard that I had called in and cancelled. TruGreen is refunding my money.
My husband and I moved into our new home and the yard had weeds and a mole problem. Being a lawn company I called and asked if they treated for moles and the girl (Jennifer) said yes, that they have a product that treats the grub worms thats a food source for the moles and would make them leave your yard. Well, Im no mole expert so I have no idea how to get rid of them and there was no hesitation in her voice, it was yes we treat them. So I signed up for 8 treatments for the moles and the weeds at $97 which is very expensive imo. So, the guy who came out and sprayed our yard was so nice and very honest. When we asked if he was taking care of the moles, he said we dont deal with moles, just weeds. I was shocked and asked what I was paying $97 a month for and he said just weed treatment. Seriously, the girl Jennifer at the call center lied to me. How can a company with a well known name tell you your signing up for a service but you dont actually get at all what you are paying for. I wouldnt have even used them at all if I was told they couldnt treat for moles! He told me the girl gets 20% commission for signing up a new customer and they get 15%. I cancelled my service that day and will never use truegreen again. No better than used car salesmen!! Not sure how Jennifer sleeps at night being a fraud and out right liar...
My lawn has never looked better. The weeds are under control and the customer service is great. I highly recommend.
I do not recommend TrueGreen. After we put sod in our front and back yard we thought it would be a good idea to have TrueGreen attend to both the front and the back since we heard quite a few good things about them. Well we paid for a whole years worth of service. The first few treatments went well and the first two people treating our lawn were nice and knowledgeable. However the majority of the other people that came throughout the year that came were not so great. They would knock once, and turn around and leave. I would even have time to walk to the door before they left! Another upsetting thing was when they left out gate open to our backyard and let our dogs out. Overall their services did not do much good to our lawns other than the first 2-4 treatments that they did. I feel like I paid for for services than we received with hiw manytimes they would so up and lea e with nothing done. Also, since we paid for one year of service. I was expecting one year of service. But as the new year came, they sent some to test our lawn unannounced, so I was not expecting that, and of course we got a bill. I think you would have a greater chance if receiving better quality of service from another company, maybe even cheaper too.
Not as good as Lawn America was, probably going to switch next year.

We have not had our yard serviced until we complain for 2 months if no show. Just as our neighbors, who we referred to Trugreen and completely regret. We spoke to two individuals last week, Jeff and Brenda, both apologizing saying they would fix this for us and our neighbors. After multiple voicemails - NO RETURN call. Completely repulsed by this.Trugreen needs to refund us the almost $900 we paid upfront and needs to refund our neighbors, the Dexter family the $800 they paid upfront.Worst experience ever. We just want our refund so we can hire a company that wants to fix our yards and we will have to spend more money now to do this.Mind you - we have amazing security cameras that are saved 24/7 for 365 days a year. Trugreen cannot lie on not showing up. Just look at our disgusting yard.Sadly, I’m president of our HOA and I am mortified I posted on our private fb page about hiring your company months ago when we did. I want this fixed TODAY or a refund TODAY. We sent an email to Jeff this morning as well. Who from Trugreen is going to actually make this right??????????
Ive tried to call multiple times and everytime I get someone from another state. When i talked to the sales person he made it sound like everything would be local. You can tell that your service is not set up by someone local because they scheduled it the day we had a 90% chance of rain. I prepaid for the year but after just 3 weeks decided they were not for me.
We moved into a new house in January during a freeze. We are new residents from CA and could not believe the brown sod would ever grow properly. Our realtor suggested we call TruGreen because she used them at her house and was happy with their service.I opted for the annual pre-pay when we started the service. The new lawn is doing well and looks great. It is almost weed free and I believe by the end of this season it will be.I would recommend this service to a friend.
Alot better now that trugreen bought lawn America since LA went downhill so fast with their service.
I have two dogs and so when we reached out to trugreen we made them promise they would let us know before they sprayed so we could bring our dogs in. They assured us that it was their policy and would NEVER spray without notice. The 2nd spray they came without notice while our dogs were outside and sprayed. The manager called to say she would call the next day and never did. I’ve tried to call and have left several messages and nothing. They are extremely difficult to get a hold of if you have a problem. If you have dogs DO NOT trust them or what they say. Even the receipt they give after they spray warns that you should keep your dogs off the yard at least two hours. I wish we wouldnt have paid up front. They will not be allowed back on my property.
TruGreen has done an excellent job in helping me turn a weed filled lawn into a great lawn. My lawn is made up of 2 kinds of grass, and they have helped me keep both healthy.
I have had nothing but trouble with this company. In the span of 10 days they came out and did 3 treatments on my yard after I had instructed them to stop. I cancelled my account and warn anyone of thinking about using them to beware. Too many honest companies out there to use them!

They killed multiple trees, walked through our flowerbed stomping our flowers, and charged us for treating our entire yard and the barely sprayed the front. When I talked to manager he denied everything. So I emailed him security video of it. Plus we still had weeds. We even requested a different employee to spray. And they kept sending the same one.
TruGreen has serviced my lawn over the last year. The lawn looks better than it ever has with all weeds gone and grass full and pretty.
They try and sell you on a personalized experience but nothing could be further from the truth. I never had any consultation on my yard other than on the phone with a corporate guy in another state. To make things even worse the Technician can not be trusted to treat both the front and back yard. This happened early on where they treated my front yard and not the back but said they did. I was home to witness the first shenanigan. I called their main number and they convinced me to give them a second chance so I did. That lasted 2 treatments... I get home today and can easily see the granulated treatment done in the front yard but alas not a single grain in the back yard. I will say their products do work but that is not the issue, I simply cannot do business with a company I dont trust. If this technician is willing to lie about the work he does, what else is at risk in my yard and house?
