My daughter reached out for help bc of her health issues. She needed just a little help. The woman who messaged her back stated she noted several trips.. They were Dr appts and HOSPITAL STAYS! One hospital stay was over $27,000!!These so called Christians sure do assume a lot about things they dont understand. Its disgusting actually. Also, there is NO reason to ask for a soc sec #. Bank statements should suffice.

I did not realize all of the poor reviews!!!! This place has lead me on for 4 months. 2 years ago my mother called FIA to get me in an forget (her memory was and is worse now) they penalized me at FIA. I never knew until calling to try and get help a year later!!! They said I still had to wait were I never showed for the year before appt phone call! So I completely put out of my head that I needed to get help period! I am a recent single mother of two. I have never received help and called faith in action to get help with a $350 electric bill. The woman told me exactly what to do and to turn the info in by email with in three days. On the third day my information was submitted. I did not receive an email back until one week later( a day before my cut off)... I called the entire week making sure my information was received the receptionist said someone would call or email. So a day before cut off Im emailed to be told I DID NOT do as told or send in what was needed and could not be helped! My family and all loved ones I care for in my CNA work has donated to this place for years! I just couldnt believe this and will never try to receive help again. I cant count how many times I have given and given to places for the need. And I will continue all but this place. It seems theres so many more being put through this! So sad. The woman actually had time to reply to me 3 times after saying I wasnt qualified when that time could have been put toward helping someone actually in need.

One of the best resources our little community has. When hard times hit, this organization is able to help keep you up to date on your bills before you fall behind, get much needed essentials like laundry soap, and even help with financial planning. I will say the lady at the front desk was not the kindest, but all the others Ive encountered have always had the greatest heart for the Lord and biggest smile.

Dont trust them..... You will believe me if you need helps from them one day. DeVonne Phipps (the executive director) will ask more and more approve from you, keep wasting your time. She will tell you they can help you to pay your rent, then she will tell you they only allow to help a small amount somewhere between 100 and 150, and then she will say that she need you prove you already pay most of rent, and only owe a lit bit, then most likely she will say she cant approve, but she will still pay your light bill instead, but you have to prove the power company is get ready to cut off your power, if you cant prove you get notice from power company (the cut off notice), you waste the entire time for nothing....... they shouldnt waste anybodys time for nothing super disappoint for such a terrible service. i wise I can give them 0 star if I could.....

I have a full time job but got behind because of medical issues. I told them i needed help with rent. They told me my landlord had to send information over to them. My landlord did it that day. I saw her. I called faith in action about 4 times asking when i will have the interview about the rent. I took time off work to God there in the first place. They didnt tell me for a week that my landlord is not on the list for them to be able to help me. When they did the lady was so rude about it. I dont understand why they didnt feel me sooner instead of making we wait. They did offer to help me with my electric bill but the lady was so rude i didnt want to go back.

Went to an appointment with Crossroads. Very nice staff. Addressed my needs professionally and confidentially.

Theyve helped me and they were great at first. I called here lately trying to get assistance and was turned down because they basically said I wasnt trying to better myself in any way and that I denied further help from them when they called me, and I never received that call and never denied any help. The woman was rude and insulting to me. And, overall wasnt trying to be a decent person. Im not sure why people go into social work knowing they arent friendly and Ill never call them again. Overall super judgemental. Theyre their to help you and when you call you get judged and turned down.

This place is a joke they claim to help there community but ive seen them turn a single mother that works away and help this guy that lived a few blocks away from me that is a known meth user so they really just help the junkies in that area with there bills so they can waste there checks on there dope all the churches in the area give to them to help others but they have dont and the churches should check into this its wrong they want to help the dope heads keep a place to do there dope worst place im Bristol to go for help every one working there is stuck up and thanks there above the people coming in for help

The director acted in a disrespectful and unprofessional manner towards my employer. Having a close relationship with Faith in Action for many years, I am very disappointed.
