Purchased a harness for our puppy. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. They didnt mind us trying a few on him to ensure we had the right fit. Ended loving our purchase and after a brief adjustment period Buddy got comfortable in it. Will definitely return for future needs

I came here to check out on some of their Cichlids and saw that most of them were doing really well! Although there were some harmed or dead fish unfortunately. But other than that all the fish appeared fairly healthy and happy!

Oh we actually had a real good time. Diva had a blast barking at the other dogs & everyone was so friendly I didnt think we was ever gonna get out of there, they were so friendly. Diva made all kinds of new friends plus she ran up the bill for mama she got new clothes & toys & a new neckless with her name on it. The store was was very clean & the workers was very helpful.

I was wanting to adopt this sweet cat I see every time I visit. I make enough money, work with animals on a daily, and absolutely adore this cat... But labeled an unsuitable home for it because my landlord does not allow dogs inside the home at night?

If you are a pet liver this is a place that has it all. Even cats. Thats the only thing I hate about going in. Its hard to see the fuzzballs in the back in their car tank. I want to adopt them all and take them home. But its way better than knowing the alternative. They pair with local shelters to get forever homes for cats. If you go in the store and purchase anything, give the change to charity. Please. Thats why I love this place. Theyre trying not just to sell you stuff, theyre trying to help. Stop in and look around. I always leave with way more than intended! 😂❤️

I was able to get my baby a lot of great new toys to help with his teething. They also have a great product that deters your puppy from chewing on anything else that might be in his path. Staff here is very informative, and absolutely amazing! Ask for Kevin. He was very courteous, and assisted with finding everything I needed.

Our experience with the trainers at Pet Smart is superb! We have a stubborn rescued beagle and the group class helped her so much the transformation even convinced us to keep her. We’re now enrolled in private classes for our defiant one year old chihuahua and her behavior has improved drastically! We feel that their food is fresher than Amazon’s with the confidence that your actually getting named brand quality and not a knock-off at the same price. I love PetSmart ❤️

So many dead fish. There were more than pictured. Malnourished fish and reptiles. I don’t advise buying any living thing (maybe the cats are okay) from here and if you do then you definitely need to quarantine before putting them with anything you already had.

The young girl that sells the fish is just too much everytime you ask for a fish she ask how big is your tank ?what fish do you have? how many fish do you have? And if you tell her she dont want to sell you what you want she trys something else instead and her famous words are we wont guarantee your fish I dont buy there anymore

Took my fur baby to get a cut because my usual groomer (who is a local small business owner) did not show up for your scheduled appointment. I had a 5pm appt. @ Pet Smart. Teresa was our groomer. She was kind, soft spoken with Max🐶 & did an AMAZING job on his groom/cut! I browses for a bit because they have tons of things on clearance! When i returned for oickup, max was not distressed or anything. Think we have ourselves a.New groomer! Thanks Teresa for taking good care of my fur baby!! 5 stars

Pet smart was great the girls where very helpful in the grooming center they have everything you really need for your 2,4, an even your no leg children (fish) they even have training classes if youve never been there get there they really have it all and the prices are not to bad

Called to request appointment to have our dogs nails filed. PetSmart in Bristol is very accommodating and usually able to schedule nail appointments on the same day. Its a traumatic experience for our dog but the staff do a great job to ease her anxiety.

I went for more little goldfish because my son wanted fish for his birthday recently and I had gotten two that died and subsequently began replacing them. When I spoke to the associate helping us (of course I dont remember her name) she asked about the tank size and when I explained we were only using a large bowl she advised me against the goldfish. So, we talked to my son and he settled on a gorgeous little betta fish who should be very happy with a large bowl. Yes, he cost a significant amount more than a few little goldfish but at the rate I was replacing those little guys, Id have hit $8 soon enough. I do have a small 10 gallon tank that Im gonna have to get out for that final surviving goldfish so he might live. That conversation with her lead me to research those two fish we have and learn quite a bit more. I feel more prepared to care for them as pets instead of decorations now and that feels cool as the flipside of the pillow, ya know? All in all, great experience here. I shall be returning soon for the goodies I researched for our new little dudes! I cant wait!

Its ok had items placed in the wrong area and wouldnt honor the price that was under the item. Plus shelves was almost bare at the friskies cat food.

The animals here look very sad and didnt move the entire time I was there, not even the birds. There werent many animals there at all. But I guess the employees were nice.

I have nothing bad to say about the staff. They are always very friendly and helpful. However, DO NOT buy fish from this PetSmart. I do not often purchase fish from big box pet stores, but when I do I always make sure to quarantine my new fish before introducing them into my community tank. 9 times out of 10 they die within the first couple days. Before I purchase a new fish, I always test and make sure water parameters are where they need to be before placing them in the quarantine tank. This is NOT “owner error”. The fish tanks in this particular store are always dirty, full of dead or sick fish. You may not even know you have a sick fish until you bring it home. I have been to other PetSmart’s in the area and there tanks are cleaner, the fish look healthier and well taken care of.

This location never has a very big variety of fish. Aquariums are also dirty compared to other PetSmart locations. My main complaint is that they need to remove dead fish more often. However, the employees at this location are the absolute most friendly PetSmart employees.

Cashier was very nice and they had all the regular Pets Mart items. BUT if you going for live fish or birds go to Kingsport or Johnson City store. I have never seen nastier fish tanks in a pet store - the water was dingy, green with algea and dead fish floating. The fish were dull and lethargic and just looked sick. And the poor bird they had was also obviously ill, feathers were disheveled and rough. Again you could just look at its demeanor and feathers and see it wasnt healthy.

Do not buy fish from here I bought my daughter a beta from here and it died 2 days later it’s not owner error I have had betas many times when I was younger my daughter was heartbroken

Raising bettas is so much easier with the assistance of my local PetSmart. PetSmart of Bristol VA. has made caring for my fish and aquatics so much more than just a hobby. Its become a relationship. The staff are very knowledgeable and most know you by name. My only criticism, and this is on the stores part, not the staff, sometimes the store is understocked and lacking in key components such as food, certain Seachem water conditioners and treats.

To get your animals hair cut here is expensive. I was told one price when I was talking to them about getting my dogs hair cut just to pay a more expensive price when paying for it.. other then that its a good place to get stuff for your animals

They have the best selection of toys and treats, but are also very pricey. Theyll have what you cant find anywhere else, except maybe your Vet office. Store is always clean and employees are attentive and friendly.
