The owner and her assistant were very accommodating when we visited to select our next fur baby. The facility is impeccably clean and the business is well organized. Our little puppy was very healthy and well taken care of by the foster family. We would HIGHLY recommend visiting when adding a puppy to your family. πŸ’•

I was a little apprehensive about getting a dog from here, especially reading all the reviews, but I wanted to see for myself before making a final decision. I got a shepherd Doberman mix at 16 weeks that turned out to be an amazing pup. My dog, Quincy, is sweet, smart, and responsive. Hes a nice cuddle bug. Love him so much!

We HIGHLY recommend this puppy rescue. We rescued two dogs from there at two separate times. Our oldest pup is a bit over one year old and has had no major health issues. Our puppy that we got two months ago is doing great, as well! They allowed you to bring any dogs that you already have to meet with the new dog you might be getting. Some people get there very early (in line at 2am) with there heart set on a specific dogs looks.UPDATE: Our dogs are now 3 and 4 years old and doing great! No health issues. I would still recommend this anyone!

This organization is what all non-profit adoption agencies should be. They are responsive have a consistent number of pups healthy and cared for. The process is great even considering the restrictions with covid. All volunteers are fantastic and helpful. They are responsive to all questions and up front during adoption and after. The facility is perfect for the pups they dont feel pushy keeping in mind they do have to restrict number of people visiting, so you are on a clock to allow others in. The additional items they offer are also well priced and easy to get while adopting. While this is a lotto system for being selected for adoptions it feels better than others experienced, because of the consistent flow of animals at this facility. The pup I adopted could not be any better as he is well adjusted to my home and has clearly been greatly cared for prior to me picking him up given his innate mannerisms.

Lifeline was great, they helped us find our forever pup! We were looking for a rescue and had heard great things about Lifeline from others. Their website was also more user friendly than most and frequently updated. We first went down the normal adoption process, which is a lottery you apply for at the end of each week and may or may not be selected. After 3 weeks we were not selected, but we were called on a Saturday and able to meet some puppies that same day when they had other cancellations. That process was a bit stressful since we didnt have control of which pups we would meet even if we were selected. We ended up signing up for the VIP experience, which meant we were able to give Lifeline a description of the kind of pup we were looking for and get to meet them before the normal adoption process with the public. We got an email of puppies that met our description and were able to pick 2 to meet. We ended up bringing one of the two home, but I think if we had waited to meet other dogs, the ones we had met would have gone out to the public. However, the process was a really great way to narrow down our search and take the stress out of the process. Everyone at Lifeline was professional, friendly and responsive. They do amazing work rescuing dogs from rural areas and ensure they are placed in homes. Would highly recommend Lifeline to anyone looking for a rescue pup!

We recently adopted a pup. Hes absolutely adorable. We brought our other dog with us to meet his new pup. I wouldnt recommend doing that as both ended up with kennel cough. Also, they get most of these dogs from various places and ours was probably taken from his mom too soon as he eats like its his last meal. They gave him shots before he was 8 weeks and therefore we had to pay for his first shots again. I called them but they didnt respond. Their website says 150-400 but Ive never seen one for less than 400. Probably time to update your website. I have to say all the employees were great and helpful. I hope after Covid is over these pups dont end up back in shelters. Its amazing how many pups they adopt out

This is where we got our dog 3 years ago. They rescue dogs from all over Colorado and neighboring states. Though the process is first come, first served, we were so impressed with the organisation. They post their puppies for the week (on Fridays if I remember correctly) so that you can look through the photos and see if they have a dog that you think you might want. Then they are open for adoption on Saturdays. You will want to get there early as dog go quickly! You get to play with the dogs you are interested in and if you decide that you want one, they do paperwork and then have a little information session before you take them home. The dog that we got had parvo and when we called to tell them she was sick they had us bring her there. They took her to an animal hospital that they have connections with, they took care of all expenses and we picked her back up happy and healthy!

If there is any place you want to go its Lifeline Jade is my puppy she was rescued from Dallas Texas, The Prices Here are justified, Your dog has its first round of shots its micro chipped, and spayed or nurtured. which FYI Most shelter dogs are not. And the 400$ sur charge is to pay for that. Youd have to pay for it with any puppy you adopt. On there website it gives specific directions on what to do, if you have a puppy you see and want get there early. I waited for 11 hours in my car to get jade and it was well worth it. the first 3 people in line get the first 3 choices from number 1 first and 3rd last. they help the person with the lower number first. Around 11 is when they hand our numbers. Not everyone goes home with a dog if more families showed up then number of dogs. Life line takes amazing care of each and every dog. DO NOT MAKE assumptions on things you do not know. I have Several Friends and family who all have dogs from here and they are beyond healthy and amazingly cared for.Life line will forever be one of the most highly recommended shelters from me and several others. I didnt have to pay a fee for my application with the other rescue either, and feel like they were more honest and trustworthy. If you get a puppy from lifeline, Im so glad that you were selected and able to adopt. But if you get fed up with their application process, like I did, I suggest looking elsewhere.

Amended to hopefully help people out. We adopted this precious girl on Sunday 11/12/17 at their adoption event! She was brought to CO from a kill shelter in TX on Wed & had already had most of her vaccinations; that Thursday was spayed and in addition to what I mentioned had a registered microchip. So when we got her she was a little sore but very healthy for her free vet visit at VCA that week. They do try to adopt out the puppies as soon as they can after getting them. Our experience was almost too easy compared to what we went through to get a pure bred dog previously. I dont believe the $300 we paid was out of order for everything that she came with already done. My pure bred dog cost $1000 from the breeder plus @ $300 more at her first vet visits just for vaccines and basic stuff; not including spay or microchip. If any animal is ill, it may not show up right away. We have had neighbors who raised purebred dogs, parents were healthy and somehow isolated puppies got parvo and died. If you go to your free vet visit (available at multiple locations other than the list they give you) and they say your dog is sick, Lifeline will take them back (they are no longer your dog from what I understand.) They will get them medical attention right away and you could get a different puppy. If you choose to keep the dog and pay for it on your own thats on you. Ive heard many stories about illness with any shelter dogs. My friends foster and they get dogs with illness sometimes. Some places have the luxury to house the dogs themselves, giving time for illness symptoms to show but they still could get sick there before they get adopted. I was prepared to sign up for the insurance through my vet if my dog was sick caused I already knew it could be possible. Think of the big picture, you are adopting a dog that has been rescued from death. They may have gone through many things including tramatic travel, long distances in tiny crates since they were brought to where you come to see them. My own dog has become fearless overall, but still shakes and curls up in the car. No one really knows what mix they are or what they were exposed to. YOU are taking a chance on an animal who may be broken in some way. Dont get a pet anywhere unless you are prepared to give them not only love but a chance at a future!

While we love our dog and she has become part of our family... the actual experience of adopting was terrible. Once we found a dog to meet, an employee would come up to us every few minutes asking us if we were ready to adopt her. Then, they kept coming up and telling us if we did not decide quickly we would have to wait hours until the next orientation. Given that it was 90 degrees outside and we couldnt leave the premise to wait.. this was not ideal. While we are more than happy with our dog, the environment created on adoption day was stressful. We felt pressured into deciding, which is not something you want to feel when making this big of a decision. I would not go back there to adopt, and I would not recommend this place to others. There are plenty of places that let you take your time. Other adoption places understand the gravity of this decision, and that dogs are not one size fits all.I just hate to think that people may make a decision they will later regret because of how pushy the employees are.

We lost 2 of our dogs that were elderly within months of each other and our remaining dog was very sad and alone. Because she can be a bit of an alpha but still loved other puppies and dogs we decided to adopt a young puppy instead of an older puppy or younger dog which is what we normally do. We went through a couple of different rescues and got a lot of run around and ended up missing out on a few really nice puppies. We found lifeline and saw a few on their website we like and entered the lottery. We were selected and when we arrived we saw that one of the puppies we really liked was still available. At first there was a mix up and they brought us one of his littermates which we fell in love with as well but then they brought us the puppy we were originally interested in and let us spend time with both so we could decide which one we wanted to bring home. We went with the one we originally wanted but we were informed the entire little dealing with an intestinal issue and were taking medication so we would have to come back the following weekend to get him so they could make sure he was recovering which was fine with is. We went back the following weekend and picked him up and our small fluffy 11 week old puppy is now a large furry 7 month old puppy and we couldnt be happier with our decision to go through lifeline and will definitely recommend them to anyone who asks!

Ive adopted a total of two puppies from this organization. Both have been in good health and have been great dogs. They do rescue the dogs from all over it seems like usually New Mexico since they are in such close proximity both in transport and at the shelter the chance for illness does increase. In understanding this I would recommend taking your adopted animal to your local vet to ensure a good bill of health and get their vaccines current. Ive also had several family members go through this organization for adoption and all have been great dogs. Like I mentioned earlier unfortunately some dogs will be sick.

I attempted to reach out via email and phone multiple times, with no response. I ended up just showing up there 2 weeks later to find out what was going on. They told me I would need to come back on Saturday or Sunday to get her. So, I went and picked her up on Saturday. By Monday night, she was so sick. I took her to the vet immediately, and she tested positive for parvo. My vet told me they get puppies often, who dont usually make it that are adopted from Lifeline. When my vet tried reaching out to Lifeline, they refused to talk to them about it. Once I was able to get in contact with Lifeline, they refused to help with any vet bills to treat her and told me there was no way she had parvo. She was so sick! The vet was surprised she made it! I now have a beautiful, sweet dog that I am so so happy to have, but will NEVER go back to that place. There are good and bad reviews for anywhere you go. Make sure to pay attention to the bad ones!! But as soon as we walked into this rescue, my wife caught a glimpse of our soon-to-be son and insisted on holding him..... Within 3 seconds of holding him, my wife was asking for the paperwork to adopt him! Now Kevin is the newest member of the family! :)The rescue process was simple and straightforward. There was also a thourough short video that is required to watch that is definetly worth the time! I had a bit of a strange experience with this shelter, but I did end up taking home a happy and healthy puppy. If you are planning to visit, you should show up early or there is not a good chance you will get to see the puppies you wanted to look at. When I went, I was a bit late and found that probably over half the puppies were already adopted. The conditions the puppies were kept in were not great. It was cold and snowing slightly and they were all outside, huddled together under heat lamps in pens. When I finally caught someones attention to help me visit with a puppy, the puppy was shivering and didnt want to do much.I was informed by an employee that one of the families had decided against a puppy and that she was up for adoption again, and I ended up wanting this puppy to take home, only to be told later that she was already taken. I left my number with them in case they had made a mistake, and two days later I got a call that the puppy was still up for adoption. She stayed with them until Wednesday to be spayed and I finally got to take her home!Later that week they gave me a call to tell me that another puppy in her litter was positive for parvo, which meant my puppy was at high risk of parvo as well because they were kept in such close quarters. I ended up getting some additional testing with my vet to check for parvo but my puppy was perfectly healthy. I got lucky, but it does seem like their pups are at risk of coming home sick. I think this can be true for any animal shelter that has a lot of these little guys. This is not a perfect place but I think adopting here is better than buying from a pet store because they are no-kill.

We were very happy that he was still waiting for us when our number came up! The adoption process is awesome and very informative. The help during and after the adoption is incredible and enjoyable. Thanks for caring so must for our cute puppy before we got him.

I have had 4 people I know personally receive puppies with PARVO from lifeline. They will not help or respond in a timely or appropriate way after either. This is a glorified puppy mill and people need to know how often they adopt out extremely sick dogs.

My daughter and I volunteer here and have for almost a year now. It is a wonderful organization and the people truly care about the dogs. I would like to address a couple of false statements made in the more negative reviews...1) we never ever adopt out any puppy that is showing any obvious signs of illness. Ever. The staff there is careful to make sure all the puppies are healthy and all the volunteers are well trained.2) the fee is not outrageous given that most of the puppies come from out of state and the rescue drives to them and transports them back. All puppies are vaccinated, dewormed, vaccinated, and fixed3) the dogs are never left outside in cages. The bigger puppies will go out only for adoption events and there are heat lamps and we put sweaters on the dogs, any smaller dogs are kept inside in the nursery. Most of our puppies are kept in foster care. These people love these dogs. End of story.

Although you have to get there at least 4 hours early to get a good spot in line, all there puppies are very cute and well taken care of. They provide a history of every dogs medical record from while they were in their care. Staff is very helpful and makes sure everyone is happy and taken care of. Would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a puppy or dog.

We donated towels to Lifeline from Radi8 Float Studio and were very impressed with how well they take care of the animals!

Overall an okay rescue. I am glad that theyre around to help the pups out. I got my puppy there at 9 weeks in february. Unfortunately he was adopted to me with kennel couch, which turned into a lunch infection, then got an eye infection in both eyes, and lastly got a cold (that was the easiest). I ended up spending $400 in adoption fees + $2000 in vet fees. The rescue didnt help with those, and I did let them know of his sickness within 48 hours of adoption. I dont regret getting him, hes part of the family, but I wish they were more careful with their puppies.

It’s taken me years to write this review. This place is HORRENDOUS! we got our Miles from this facility, underage and EXTREMELY SICK. We paid a fortune with the understanding that our puppy would be supported and covered for vet visits, etc. Lies! Once β€œrescued”, they didn’t care at all about Miles having parvo, being underage (too early to be separated from his litter) and knocking on deaths door. Had we not rescued our pup, my fear is that he would have surely died. Shame on Lifeline puppy rescue!

Love this rescue!! It’s an intimidating and daunting process with a LOT of people and puppies, but they absolutely have it down to a T on how it should be organized. They are so helpful and clearly care for all the dogs they have. My puppy is a dream and I can tell he was in good hands before me. I’m sure it’s been said a million times, but if you’re there for a specific dog - GET THERE EARLY! I’m talking 5am early. I got there at 8:30 and was tenth in line. It is so worth the wait because I got an amazing puppy, but just be warned.

All the volunteers are very helpful and love all the puppies they care for. For how many puppies are up for adoption each week, the whole process is fairly organized. Get there early if you have a particular puppy you really want as they run the adoption process on a first come, first serve basis. We arrived at 6:45 AM for an adoption event starting at 11. We ended up being third in line. If you arrive by 8 AM, you should have luck being one of the first ten or so people to get in.

My wife and I got our new puppy here and they could not have made the expirience better. From the advice to the packages and help they offered.

We paid $5.00 adoption fee, filled out the adoption packet as soon as it opened and no email or communication as to an appointment time, or email that we have not been chosen...Makes me feel like we pay to apply and it was all to take the money then resubmit and pay another $5.00...Well choose another place to adopt from....I also went in before COVID and the staff said they were closed and were not too friendly and the website said open.

Terrible organizational! So unorganized. They were so unresponsive. Didn’t communicate. Using the wrong system to let people in. Waited over 2 hours and didn’t even get to see all the puppies. This company isn’t fair to the people that waited in line because we couldn’t even get inside because the line was too long and didn’t get a chance to pick a puppy or to even see what kind of puppy we wanted. I hope they get to see my review and fix their organization and prepare better.

A long standing institution doing great works here in Brighton, CO. Their puppies might occasionally have a light case of Bordetella, which is the natire of almost all rescued dogs, but in every other way they will be healthy, well socialized and treated with tender loving care by their foster familes. We screened their puppies, and our adopted pup became my daughters ADA Service Animal and her life-line to having something of a normal life. β™‘ That is beyond precious to us!
