I am very pleased with Waste Connections!!!!I live in a private community and the board will vote on trash services based on bids and of course the “lowest” bid wins as usual. So we have been through SEVERAL different companies since we last used Waste Connections and I can honestly say, we went through HELL since the Association made the executive decision to leave Waste Connection!!! But there is the old saying that you get what you pay for!! Which we have paid more over the last few years with the other 2 companies whether it was directly due to bill rates being higher or because they chose not to show up AT ALL due to driver shortage!! This leaving my house with trash for over 3 weeks and random woodland creatures digging it out, so I would have to clean up that disgusting mess and still hauled it to the local dump myself!!!Basically I have nothing but great things to say about Waste Connections and the entire team of employees the customer service members and especially to drivers and collectors who work so very very hard and I appreciate it so very much!!!!Thank you so much for your outstanding service and I appreciate your business
My trash wasnt picked up on Monday. I cant fit anymore trash in my can and I have trash to throw away. I messaging with the chat bot this morning and it said to call customer service. I did and spoke to the absolute sweetest and most helpful representative who put in a work order for me to have my trash picked up. I got off the phone and saw I had an email response from Debbie regarding my chat with the bot. I opened it and it said that I would have to pay an additional $12 per bag outside of the trashcan. I responded with thank you for your response. Im wondering if I am understanding correctly. My trash was on the curb to be picked up Monday morning. It was not picked up. My trash can is now very full. I will have to pay an additional $12-24 to have this weeks trash picked up because my trash pick up was missed on Monday? Im sorry but that seems a little backwards to me. Debbie looks into the issue which I appreciate. She responds that she pulled the drivers footage which showed that a black truck was blocking the can. Then she immediately sends a second email that she has cancelled my work order and that Ill have to call and pay an additional $12 per bag of trash.I live alone and own one car. I was not home. I did not know why my trash was not picked up. I was under the impression that they missed me. I had no idea why. Im thinking that I did everything right so why should I have to pay for their error. Had her first email said that she checked the footage and someone was blocking my trash can and additional trash would be $12 per bag, I wouldnt be upset. I wouldnt have asked for any clarification or called that $12 per bag policy backwards. Its not their fault someone was blocking my trash can. I get that. She was so rude and unprofessional. The separate email a minute later to tell me she has cancelled the work order was so unnecessary. Why wasnt it one email? Get off your power trip, Debbie
The Pandemic has strained many businesses. Household waste collection companies were hit really hard. Through it all, Waste Connections Inc. remained responsive, flexible and worked to maintain a high level of customer service.Great job Waste Connections Inc.Well done indeed

My regular trash has not been picked up in 3 weeks. They have taken my recycle but not my trash. There are maggots starting to grow. I have called the company and spoke to them and was assured my trash would be picked up and it still has not been collected and unfortunately we can’t use a different company in my area. MY RATING -5 STARS
What a nightmare!!!! It all started the week of 4th of July!! My trash was skipped on that Wed and I called Thursday to tell them. I was told it would be picked up Friday. Friday rolls around it’s 2:00, so I called and they said don’t worry mam they are on their way. Of course they were lying and my trash stayed out there until the following Wed. The trash can now has maggots due to the trash sitting outside so long. I requested a new trash can immediately. They told me I had to pay for it even though it’s their fault that my trash was infested with maggots. If they would’ve not skipped my trash on Wed and Friday I would not have this issue. I paid for a new trash can and was told it would arrive in 7-10 business days. It is now July 26. I called last Monday and was told it would be here today and not to worry. Today I called and was told it’s not coming today it will not be until Monday. They are probably lying about that as well! I have been without a trash can for almost a month. Im not bringing a trash can in my garage that’s infested due to the poor service from waste connections. If I could give zero stars I would. It blows my mind that not only have I been continuously lied to but there has been zero communication or explanation when they don’t show up. Management that I spoke to was extremely rude. The audacity to make me pay for a problem that they caused. Then when I pay I still don’t have a trash can.
The service is always good, but they were exceptional during recent winter storms. I appreciate that we received multiple notices of how the snow and ice might affect our pick-ups. As service progressed, we received updates to reset expectations. Even with terrible conditions, our service was delayed only a day or two. Special appreciation goes to our drivers Jorge and Nick, and to our billing services rep Debbie Baldwin. Outstanding.Great communication and setting of expectations with a follow-through of reliable service. Well done!

When I forgot to take out the garbage last week, our driver gave me a little honk honk to inform our house that we forgot. I ran out in my bare feet to get the garbage bin up. When he noticed my bare feet, we pulled the bin up for me. Thank you for the extra patience and consideration!
Waste Connections STL is an exceptional company! Their trash and recycling pickup services are always on time like clockwork, unless something unforeseen happens (i.e. broken down equipment). If there are personnel issues (seriously, all companies have them from time to time), like being short-staffed for vacations or call-ins for illnesses, they are handled behind the scenes and I have not noticed anything that affects their performance. Even during the midst of Covid, they did not miss any scheduled pickups.They do a fantastic job for both our trash and recycling services. I have sometimes had situations with vehicles being parked near the area that we leave our totes for collection. Yet, the Collection Team always maneuvers into the area safely and easily, quickly dumps our totes into their truck, and then off to the next collection. They truly do an exceptional job! I want to give kudos to the team! They deserve a huge THANK YOU from every customer! Despite the weather conditions, either rainy, bitter cold, or steamy hot outside, the trucks are on time and busy doing a great job thanks to the outstanding Collection Team!A big shout out is also owed to the Office Staff. Our bills are always timely and accurate. Payments are processed smoothly and correctly. I have not had any reason to contact them, which is a good thing. As such, they also deserve a big THANK YOU for making everything from billing, service, payments, website and app maintenance, etc. go so seamlessly. While a negative complaint tends to be shared readily, too often, customers tend to not take the time to extend compliments and recognition. And, I am guilty of that myself after being a customer of Waste Connections for several years and just now extending them the recognition which they deserve.In addition, Waste Connections has a robust website and app. I can easily view my collection schedule, download statements, pay our bill, set up auto-payments, AND includes a push notification option to remind us the night before collection as well as changes to the schedule due to holidays. No more blame game in our household or excuses of I forgot. Waste Connections really makes it all a no-brainer and simplifies our life with the app notifications.They are an all-around impressive company and one which I would highly recommend! THANK YOU to EACH employee of Waste Connections STL! You each do such an outstanding job of making trash and recycling pickup a breeze for us!

The gentleman that picks up the yard waste is so nice. I told him last week that someone knocked on my door last week wanting my yard waste receptacles. They thought they were being thrown away. Today, I found the emptied receptacles up by my driveway. He must have remembered me telling him the story last week. What a nice gesture, I really appreciate that :).

There is an issue a least once a month with this company. I understand the employees in the office may not know what is going on with the drivers, but when a customer calls in to complain we shouldnt be made to feel we did something wrong. People just dont have pride in their jobs and good customer service like they used to. If I could change companies I would.

Pick up trash normally. I pay for weekly yard waste but the company hasnt picked up yard waste the entire spring. I have had to use other methods of removing my yard waste. Now for the past two weeks they have forgotten to pick up my regular trash. No phone calls with any explanation. 2 star review is being very kind.

I contacted the customer service last week of July bacause they missed to pickup our scheduled yard waste pickup. Then I was told that yard waste will be picked up the following week. This is the first week of August. I contactd the customer service to make sure they will pickup the yard waste this week. But I was disappinted since the customer service person told me that yard waste wont be picked up until the week of 12th. I wonder now --- should I have signed up for yard waste pickup or not?
Waste Connections has been our municipal provider for about one year. Compared to our previous two providers they are heads and shoulders above the competition. The competition was unreliable, uncommunicative, skipped pickups, wouldnt answer the phone, and on and on. My experience with Waste Connections has been phenomenal, particularly SeMon, who I have had answer and handle my calls on 4-5 occasions. Very polite, sincere, listens actively, usually has an action oriented response, and so far addressed every problem. I hope she keeps answering my calls.
Kevin was amazing at getting the job done. Very professional and outstanding. He was very respectful and understanding and was able to help me with my situation. Its so hard to find dedicated people who love their job an do it correctly.
Unprofessional, doesnt come out to pick up Yard Waste removal for a whole month and when called to question it and the best they could give me Ok, we will just cancel Yard Waste. Cool.
Between not hearing back from Kendra Padilla or Bradley Payne numerous times regarding issues with not having dumpsters emptied we finally had to change service providers. Drivers claiming they came by and couldnt get to the service area were answered with surveillance footage of clear paths or even drivers not pulling into the lot to attempt to provide service. I generally avoid negative reviews but when we had to terminate service due to the provider not performing the agreed upon duties, then having the nerve to call about payment for the unperformed duties today I felt it was worth sharing to other possible customers. We have not had ANY issues with our new company since the switch was made.
Let me just say that I greatly appreciate and value outstanding customer service. Its very rare someone takes the time to go above and beyond to answer questions and concerns. Kevin is very professional, knowledgeable and courteous. You have a true gem in Kevin.

This is the worst company Ive ever had the displeasure of working with. They have been months behind...literally months behind...picking up yard waste. They missed the first 4 weeks of recycling when we moved here. Now they are missing trash pickups. And they constantly place blame on someone else or on other factors rather then fessing up to their management and leadership issues.
I have never had a problem with Waste Connections...ever! Their customer service is awesome and the drivers are thoughtful, courteous, thorough and tireless. Even though we had a snowstorm and they were running behind by just one day, I contacted them through their app to say they missed my trashcan. I got an immediate response and they sent the driver back around in just a few hours. Quite impressive. I love their service!!!
I was having difficulty having my yard waste picked up by Waste Connections. I had called several times to have my yard waste picked up and each week...it was skipped. I finally talked to Melissa with Waste Connections and she rectified the problem. It was nice to talk to someone that went over and above her job.
After moving, I now use this company for trash needs. However, my trash was being overlooked some weeks and was not being picked up regularly. I called into your customer service department and spoke with Kevin. He was very nice, professional, and really went that extra mile to get my issue resolved. I couldnt find information on their website about bulk pickups so I called. Heath answered my call and was extremely helpful. He told me they do have bulk pickups and can take up to two items. I have an old recliner ready for the trash heap and he assured me they could take it. He told me they couldnt pick it up next week due to inclement weather but they could pick it up on Feb. 22 which is perfect for me. Heath also explained that they have an app which I might find useful. He answered all my questions and was professional and friendly.
Been using Waste Connections for a couple years and the driver for the regular waste pickup on Mondays has consistently put my container back in its place after he dumps it. It’s just a short distance from where I put the container for pick up but wanted to thank the driver and let him know it hasn’tgone unnoticed.

Today was recycle pickup day in Wildwood, MO. There was a wind and rain storm early in the morning and when I looked out a few papers had blown out of the bin and onto the ground. When the Waste Connections driver came by, he emptied the bin and then proceeded to pick up the wet papers that had blown out leaving the yard spotless. Only took 30 seconds, but above-and-beyond what I would have expected as I’m guessing it’s not officially their job to go hunt down debris. Can’t tell you how impressed I am with that driver and his attitude to “go the extra mile” and do the right thing for his customers. Just great to see people still have pride in what they do and how they go about it. Well done!

I have had residential trash service with this company for awhile now. Periodically, I have had to contact them for various reasons or to obtain information (i.e., driver failed to pick up my trash, schedule bulk item pick-up, verify pricing, etc.). On most of these occasions, the customer service representative I have spoken with has made me feel as if I was a bother. In addition, at least two of the representatives were rude, discourteous and unprofessional.On Tuesday, June 1, 2021, I had a completely different experience. I contacted the company to obtain information on initiating monthly yard waste service and I had the pleasure of speaking with a young lady by the name of Rehema (Reh for short pronounced Ray). It was the most pleasant communication I have ever had with any of the waste connections representatives. She was extremely helpful, courteous, and professional . She was also very pleasant when she was providing me the information I was requesting. She never once made me feel like I was a bother or had to hurry up and get off the phone. She did not provide any extra services or benefit...she just did her job. I was so surprised and pleased I contacted her Supervisor immediately after the communication and I really hope he acknowledges her publicly. I understand that customer service can be a tedious, tiring job. It can also be very rewarding. Customer service representatives are actually representing the company. Good customer service equals happy customers. Happy customers equals profitable companies. Profitable companies equal job security. Waste connections would do well to hire more employees like Reh. Customer service is wonderful. The drivers are great. Today, my driver brought me a piece of mail that was by my trashcan. It had accidentally been dropped by the mail person who had just come through in the Lake Chesterfield subdivision. Im so thankful for this driver bringing me the envelope.

Weve always had a good experience but recently our recycling person made a gesture that speaks to his/the companys care for customers and what they do. After getting our recycling he walked well out of his way to pick up a plastic bottle from our yard/the street (we live on a main road) and ensures it was recycled as well. We work with Waste Connections on our jobsite and have 2 dumpsters on site. I work with Lindsey in the office she has me call her personal number and she is so nice and helpful! Whenever I need something done or am in a pinch she takes care of us! Would definitely recommend this company!
Since Aug. 2020, I have been requesting a small trash bin. It took them 7 weeks, Oct 10, 2020 to deliver the wrong size bin. I have made over a dozen calls since Aug 2020. I have wasted time and energy with our HOA getting letters as to why my trash bin is sitting out in plain sight. Waste Connections reassured me that they have a work order and would get it resolved the next time they delivered in my neighborhood. They have delivered 3 times to other neighbors since my incorrect delivery Oct 2020 and my issue still exists with an outstanding work order. I volunteered to pick up the small trash bin myself on numerous occasions but that is not an option for me. Any suggestions?

We just signed up for new service in Wildwood and Heath assisted with the new account info. He was very informative in a clear and concise manner but didnt rush us thru the process and allowed plenty of time for all our questions. Yesterday was MLKs Birthday, so I thought trash pickup would be today and did not put my bins out.The driver on my route, Jason, got out of the truck, walked around my car to my 2 bins, grabbed the bags, and took them to the truck for me!I dont know that Ive ever had that happen, but I greatly appreciate him doing so!When I contacted the company to compliment Jason, they were very responsive (I got a reply within 20 minutes), and Debbie said she would be passing my info along to the supervisor so Jason got the recognition he deserves.

The employee driver/collection technician that picked up recycling at my house and on my street today was commendable. He is an outstanding employee who demonstrates care and pride in his work. There were numerous unrelated contractor vehicles parked on our street, and I watched as he navigated around them; emptied everyones recycling; got out of his truck to replace trash receptacles, and cleaned up debris that had fallen into the street. He is someone that should be recognized for his outstanding and conscientious work for Waste Connections.
Recycle was picked up at my neighbors house and paper was blowing around. The driver got out of the truck and picked up all papers that were blowing about. Route A121T Truck 201039. Very nice to see someone that cares enough to go above and beyond what is required.

This company is garbage. They are unresponsive to multiple attempts to contact. We went multiple weeks without pickup with no notification(Mon/Tues pickup). We have gone three weeks without recycle or trash pickup in our entire subdivision they claim on their site due to weather. However Wednesday through Friday pickups have gotten their removal rather than shifting one of the week to make Monday/Tuesday pickups a priority since they are sitting with three weeks of trash. Zero call backs on inquiries as well. All around poor service.

This company is a pain to do business with. They have too many rules and make every excuse for not doing their job. Recently they wont take three small bundles of limbs which were stacked and tied up. They claimed they werent tied or bundled. WRONG. Despite my repeated comments that they are tied up, the rep just kept repeating her script. Totally unprofessional and poor service.
