I could not be happier with our service. They installed a new drain for our double sink, replaced an expansion tank for our water heater and installed a new laundry sink in the basement which included building a plywood wall to brace the plumbing. Robert was very professional, friendly and took the time to check in with the homeowners about the project. The price was very fair, worth every penny. I will recommend this business to anyone looking for plumbing you can trust.

We had a pump installed a number of months ago, and it unfortunately broke. Fortunately however, we had and amazing experience getting it fixed. The customer service was over the top. This pump was for a church bathroom and Nichols decided to donate the cost labor (probably close to 400$) and just went above and beyond to being about customer satisfaction. We couldnt be more impressed with Nichols, and they will definitely have our loyalty as customers!

Nichols cleaned our sewer line a couple times and let us know we had Orangeburg pipe leading to the sewer that was past its expiration date (that stuff was popular to use after WWII and only lasts about 50 years, so ours was doing well, actually). We saw everything through the scope so all was clear and upfront.They came a while later and replaced our whole sewer line to the street. It was a huge project, but they made it as simple as it could be. Got it done right when they said they would. Team was professional and very careful; asked us at every step about even little things. They curved the line around to avoid taking out some stairs, they carefully packed the earth back down, and then they put down gravel, loam, and seed. Its only been a couple weeks, but you cant tell anything was done now, and it looks as good as new.We were very impressed with the knowledge, skill, and professionalism of the team, the oversight from the main office, the friendly manner from everyone at every point, and how punctual and careful they were. We wouldnt go anywhere else for plumbing service, thats for sure. Highly recommend.

We’ve been Nichols customers for over 20 years. I made an appointment a month ago to have some work done in our kitchen. We waited all day today and at 3pm got a call canceling. Seems like new management can’t get its act together. Can’t believe I have to find a new plumber, but sadly I do.

Since new owners have taken over the work is not done well at all. Needed bathroom shower fixed for a drip. Man shows up and states easy fix. Done in a few minutes and said the drip I was now seeing would quit. Then he stated he had to return to his work place to get something to save me money in the long run. The drip was now a constant flow. Nichols is a two minute walk from my house. An hour later he returns and starts banging on something. Comes out and says I will need another appointment as he now has to cut into the wall. Had me sign a blank form for billing telling me I would get a copy when office called for appointment. This was May 30. No call, no bill. I finally got a call to pay the bill July 25. When I asked why so much .... over 500.00 dollars and the rude caller said I told worker I would get someone else to do it.....I never said that, but with no bill, and no copy I asked for a copy of bill. I would have called them to finish the work but my young son, who had cerebral palsy, died in his sleep. They did take some money off and I got a real plumber to fix it for a lot less. Always used Nichols, but never again. BTW, got a copy of bill today, 7/29/21.

Wow! I simply cannot say enough positive things about Field(s) and Robs work! I am so impressed and happy! I had no water and called several places to try to get help. No one was available or would not be able to service for anywhere between 3 and 14 days. I found Nichols Plumbing in a Google search and gave them a call. Right away, Chad was helping me find solutions to my problem! We scheduled an appointment for 2 days out, then later the same day he called back to see if it was alright (LOL) if they came TODAY! YES! A new well pump and pressure tank later, great conversation and information about the service during the work, I am one very satisfied customer! I will be keeping Nichols Plumbing on speed dial! CALL THEM!

Nichols Plumbing has worked here over the years, mainly on our septic and sump pump drainage systems, and has always done an excellent job. They are responsive, honest, polite and helpful. Nothing but positive things to say! Kayla in the office was very pleasant and said it would be a couple of days before someone could come to our home. The next day they had some time so were able to swing by. Rob was professional and took the time to review everything and visually show me what was happening. It gave me the confidence that what he was telling me is what we needed to have done. No run around at all. I also appreciated beforehand they reviewed their COVID policies so it made me feel safe having someone come into our home. We are using Nichols to handle the plumbing aspects of a bathroom remodel. Todd came to do the walk through and went over what was needed. Of the 3 quotes I got, his was the most comprehensive. He outlined what the code requirements were, included the radiant heat aspects and also covered plumbing line to the washer in the adjacent laundry room. Although the quote was higher than the other two, it provided a complete picture of what was needed (not just a partial solution). We will go with Nichols for this job. Ill update the review after its completed. This is a very professional company (IMO).Update (Mar 18, 2021). As I expected, the work was stellar. Rob was our plumber and we couldnt have asked for a more skilled professional. He did a complete bathroom (tub, vanity, toilet, heat radiator) install and hookups. He also rerouted the laundry room drain line. We couldnt be happier.

Ive used Nichols Plumbing two times and will definitely use them again if the need arises. This time I had a toilet that was constantly running and causing me to have a high water bill. I called and was given an appointment the next day. Later, Nichols Plumbing called and said that they could come that very day. Problem solved. When I have used Nichols, the plumbers have been friendly, yet very professional. As an older lady living alone, it is nice to know such help is available.

Very quick and friendly service, but our sale is pending the plumbing/septic report that was done a week ago, and they did not let me know it would take this long to get the results report. We literally may lose the opportunity to buy this home, because we do not have the results from this inspection.

I own several apartment buildings and have had my share of unfortunate plumbing experiences. Our shower/tub switch knob had broken and water was coming out of both the shower head and the tub spigot when you turned the shower on. I first had them out on an emergency call when my basement flooded. They came and discovered roots so they cleared out enough to open up drain. Now they returned to completely clear out the roots from my basement drain pipes to where they connect to city lines.

Folks at Nichols explain things thoroughly, workmanship is excellent. I was given two options, both of which were explained, I went with the less expensive!They also clean up after themselves!

They were able to do a leak from an upstairs apartment into a light fixture from a shower drain. The person that came was so kind to me my living space and my animals. He even helped me move the beds so he could have room to work and put them back for me after he was done. Really impressed with the customer service and respect given. Highly recommended

We had to call Nichols twice with a septic problem and they were quick to respond both times. On Friday, June 12, they diagnosed a collapsed sewer line, and by the end of the day on the following Wednesday, permits were obtained, trench was dug, our line was replaced and new grass seed was down! We would highly recommend these skilled workers.

I had a clog in the drain between my house and the city sewer. After many attempts to snake the drain myself I called Nichols on a Sunday afternoon. I had just returned from Afghanistan. In order to protect their business and employees they were unable to send a technician to my house due to covid concerns. I was disappointed but told them I understood and we ended the call. My phone rang a few minutes later and the technician stated that they did not want to just leave my family in this situation. The technician took the time to discuss other strategies to clear the obstruction. With some solid advice I had a working drain and a happy wife. I highly recommend Nichols as they did not have to to spend a Sunday morning advising this novice.

This spring we experienced sewer problems, being an elder couple in our 80’s, we had no clue what to do! We found a list of local city approved companies, one of which was Nicholas Plumbing and Heating. We contacted them and they came right over. Once they arrived they evaluated the problem and explained everything to use so we could understand what exactly what had to be done. They also gave us an estimate of $3,500 less than any of the other competitors.They were very professional, showing up on time, and they turned a two-day job into a day job. When it came time to square up they only charged for the work they actually did, which came in $2,000 below the estimate. Meaning we saved about $6,000 going through Nicholas Plumbing and Heating. We would recommend this company to everyone that requires their services. Five Stars!!

After 25 years I find I can no longer recommend Nichols. 10 months, over $7000 of expenses related to being told my leach field needed to be replaced, and an estimated plan costing $20,000 to replace said field, I needed to find someone who would install it as Nichols declined the opportunity. After consulting another firm it was determined that the field was fine except for one pipe being blocked which was easily fixed. Had Nichols done an appropriate I would not have had my life disrupted for 10 months and spent over $7000 unnecessarily. If you are thinking about having Nichols do work for you I strongly recommend you get a second opinion.

Should have checked the bad reviews before we called them. We were charged a lot for services not done. They will not refund or credit us. Not a trustworthy company at all. We will never do business with them. Roger was not helpful at all. We still had to have our issue fixed after they came out and said they fixed it. Bad business in my eyes. Considering getting our Attorney involved.
