TL;DR: My sons ACT score on the math section increased 4 points thanks to Jay! (For more information, read below.)My son got a good ACT score during the spring of his junior year, but his math score was not as high as it needed to be for someone who wants to major in engineering--his major of choice. I reached out to a dear friend who has used MLB tutors with her children for years, and she suggested that I reach out to Jay to help my son with his math score.I contacted Jay and we initially talked by phone. After describing my sons strengths/areas of need and performance in school and on the ACT, he said something to the effect of, I have worked with students like him before and this is what I think is going on... To my surprise, Jay then accurately described what was leading to the discrepancy between my sons math grades and his math ACT score. (After Jay met with my son the first time, he confirmed that his suspicions were correct.)My son met with Jay via Zoom because our family is being super cautious about COVID, and, in all honesty, its so much more convenient to not have to drive 1/2 hour one-way for sessions. (In addition, my son was a tad resistant to doing ACT tutoring, so I wanted to make it all as easy as possible.) My son, like most teenagers, is pretty unimpressed with most adults, but he really liked Jay. He was not at all resistant to meeting with Jay and readily completed any practice work Jay assigned him. After several sessions, Jay said he thought my son was ready to take the ACT again and do well on it. I was a bit nervous because I found it hard to believe he had made that much progress in a relatively short period of time--but I figured I needed to trust the process. Once again, Jay proved that he knows what hes talking about because my son just got the results from the ACT he took on September 11th, and his math score went up 4 points. HOLY COW! Thats a big freaking deal.In summary, I highly recommend using Jay for any tutoring needs you might have. I will definitely be using him again when my daughter starts prepping for the ACT in a few years. Thanks, Jay!
I took a class to study for the ACT here and it was very helpful. I had a score of 33 on my practice test, and after being tutored here for a month I got a 35 on the actual test! They are also all really nice here and will help you learn in a comfortable environment.
This is a great great program! My reading score went up eight points, and my composite score went up four points in just four weeks. I would definitely recommend this class to any student looking to improve their score!
Scott Sherman tutored both my children for ACT Prep. He is the best! Scott is professional and experienced. Mary Lee Bunch and Associates are a well kept secret.
I went up 4 points on my ACT with just 6 weeks of tutoring because of Mary Lee Bunch Associates!! Everyone there is so nice and friendly and really work with you to help improve your score!!
