Its been a repeatedly terrible experience. The first sign of trouble was when I added a motorcycle policy to my homeowners. After being quoted double what I was paying previously, I called to inquire about the discrepancy, and came to find out it was a clerical error. So I added the policy once the price was adjusted to market rates. THEN the real issue presented itself; my family and I experienced our first hailstorm, and after having my roof inspected by a local professional, I filed a claim. Surprisingly, the carrier only covered a couple sections of my roof, and wrote me a check for $2,000 to fix the damage. I then called Nate Stinson (my broker) to ask what I should do since my roof very clearly needed to be replaced. Sadly, he was of no use. After doing my own research and fighting with the carrier, I was able to resolve my dispute with an appraisal award of $43,000 (attached) to replace my roof, guttering, garage door, and some other areas of my home that had clear and indisputable evidence of damage resulting from a covered loss per my policy. After this experience, I asked to cancel my coverage with Nate Stinson. I signed all the cancellation documents and sent them with a receipt confirmation. SURPRISINGLY ENOUGH, I kept getting billed by my previous carrier for my policy, so I was paying for two policies for almost two months. After emailing Nate Stinson again, I came to find out yet another clerical error was found and they were issuing me a refund immediately. Please do your homework when insuring the most valuable asset the majority of us own; you could be just like my family in almost giving up $45,000 because we were poorly represented by our broker.
Very bad experience with them,
