I recently wanted to start getting a little more exercise than I usually get; unfortunately, Im pretty tired after taking care of my mom and my cousin, so motivation is a little bit of an issue. My husband is working from home, so I cant blast the music and do a program at our house; not that there is much room here anyway, but our house is a single level and the only place I could attempt to do anything is near his office.So, Ive been threatening to join a gym for a few weeks now; although Im not thrilled about going to a gym, especially during all of these covid outbreaks, I thought to myself, if I pay for it, I would more likely use it.So what gym was able to get my business? Planet Fitness, its relatively close to my house, and there is no commitment; you pay your startup fee (I was able to get in with a deal), yearly fee, and a monthly fee of ten dollars plus tax.Today was my first time; I plan to go at least twice a week and use the treadmill, hopefully, a little more often, but timing it will be tricky, so well see.Although familiar with the building, I could not help but awe at how large it was inside. As I walked into the gym, the counter was to my left; I finished signing a couple of papers, you know those papers, If you destroy our property, well take your firstborn. Ok, not that harsh, but you know youre not getting out of there without signing something.The attendee grabbed a paper of rules and went through them with me; I dare say, I couldnt hear due to wearing a mask and his ability to talk low and relatively fast. I was able to glance over the paper he was telling me about, and most of which I cant remember anyway other than no grunting or taking a call at your workout station. I signed and grabbed a treadmill and did my 20 minutes.As I was working out, I was able to glance around the gym. I saw several cleaning stations, endless rows of workout equipment, and several t.vs with various things shown. By the way, you have to clean your station after using it; there we go again, trusting that honor system.Everyone I saw there (which happened to be about ten people) was spaced apart and wearing a mask.I happened to notice one lady cleaning her station, which happened to be a treadmill; she did a quick spray on the paper towel, wiped over the screen one time, and didnt do the bars at all. In her defense, I didnt see her grabbing the bars, but then again, she was already on the treadmill when I started mine.Please take responsibility and thirty seconds and do a wipe down; whos to say you didnt touch them at least once.The gym looked clean and bright with colors of purple and yellow; there were no typical gym odors or foul smells and had no messy floors. Unfortunately, I did not use restrooms, so I cannot comment on them; in fact, I didnt explore the other gym areas, so I will eventually, just not now.My only qualm with Planet Fitness is that I was not too fond of giving them checking account information to deduct the yearly membership fee and the monthly fee automatically. That alone came close to being a deal-breaker for me. I was able to do an initial join-up with my credit card, which should have been good enough for everything. I hope this is something they re-think and change or at least give the option to do one or another in the future.Overall I like the gym and look forward to re-reviewing them in the future!Planet Fitnesss location is 4310 Wheaton Way, Bremerton, Washington.Neighboring businesses include Wilco, Aceitunos Mexican Food, Sharis Cafe & Pies.Located across Wheaton Way are Petco and Goodwill.And within walking distance is Fred Meyers and the Dollar Tree.Remember, be kind to ALL living things, and thank you for supporting all local jobs.

I love having the Black membership. I can go tanning, use the hydrobed massagers, and get a great workout without ever feeling judged and for WAY less expensive than any other facility Ive been to. The gym is always clean, the equipment is well maintained, and the staff are always awesome.

You get what you pay for I guess. The facility itself is fine and the machines work most of the time and the staff clean the facility throughout the day. I try to go during the less busy parts of the day. Normally they’d get an ok review. However, there are a lot of unmasked masked patrons, even though the law is still in effect. I called to inquire about their policy, and the front desk member gave me false health information on masking, which is the most alarming part for me. I talked to management and learned their policy is only the mouth must be covered while in the facility, meaning they allow noses to be out of the mask. They offered to freeze my account if I don’t feel comfortable enough to attend.If you or someone close to you are at risk, this is not the gym for you.

It is a very well kept gym with nice machines. The staff are always friendly and helpful. I havent used the showers or spa since before COVID but I remember it being pretty clean and nice to use. A couple of the machines with seating pads are starting to get kinda worn down and cracked, so I hope in the near future they replace them. Since this is a fairly new gym I am interested to see how they keep up with the maintenance in the future.

Please move the bike rack in front of the main window so I can monitor my bike and it would make it more secure. Having is far away out of site encourages tampering, and discourages me from taking my nice bike to the gym - even though I want to use it as a eco friendly and healthy way to commute.

Hi! Really love the facility but the tanning beds need a little TLC. Disappointed that high demand stand up bed (number 8) is lacking adequite energy to about 11 of the bulbs, both burn out and going out.Kindly review the beds and will happily increase to 5 stars!Also, for clarity I did notify a team member and she informed me should would let someone know. But Id like to be sure this is completely for the black card users that pay extra for these units to function properly.Will provide video proof if needed.

I get relocated for work and try to cancel before the 10th. For some reason their policy is for the person to come into the location to cancel their membership even though they don’t verify who you are. Due to it being out of my way I wasn’t able to cancel my account until like the 12th. The associate recommended I just freeze the account in case I wanted to start it back up and told me though I canceled before the 15th that I may still be charged. He told me to call the manager and he would reimburse me. The manager wouldn’t help me so I lost 25 bucks and they lost any chance of me coming back.Since I cant reply to the response below with another response here is my response. Planet fitness does have affordable prices but that isnt the issue here. the issue is I tried to cancel my membership over the phone but was told I would have to come in person to do it which was an inconvenience since the gym was really out of my way and I didnt have time for days before I could make it in just to cancel my membership. The fact I was not asked for my ID and I had a mask on means that weather the gym had a pic of me or not already, anyone with similar features could of come in and canceled my membership. So it was pointless to come in when I could of as easily canceled my membership over the phone and saved myself the time and gas it took me to come and I also wouldnt have had to pay for a month that I didnt use.

I enjoy the morning fun hours during the work week.

I LOVE this gym.. Great quality and great staff!!!! I have to say I am Tanner in Washington because of this gym and their amazing beds with built-in facials been living in Texas for 27 years also I have bought membership at tanning salon here in Washington state in the last four years they have all been way over price and you always have to upgrade for the chain guides for facial never seen the results that I have their staff and everyone is fabulous and to die for

They arbitrarily enforces mask mandates without allowing for the medical exceptions that come with those mandates

It’s a super clean gym and everyone is really friendly! The cost is definitely a huge plus, a lot of my friends’ gyms don’t offer half of what I get and pay way more!

Been going here for a long time and if you like a calmer gym this Is the perfect place! I love it here!

In Bremerton to prepare to move here. Planet Fitness WOULD NOT GIVE ME A ONE DAY FREE PASS so I can decide if this is the gym I want to join. Their suggestion was that I pay $20 for a day pass to work out!!!!! LOL. The YouTube videos about PF are right. By the way, Crunch gym gave me a 3 day free pass!!!! Thank you Crunch.

The woman at the front desk helped us get established on our first day. I enjoyed the machines and the spa area is fab! Will be a regular now that I feel comfortable and welcome.

Some of the late night staff have been less than helpful, and frankly given some attitude, tonight there wasnt even a front desk person to check in with or make a purchase from. I dont appreciate it. I have no interest in the app and even though a manager has promised me a card it has yet to materialize. I like the convenience but am contemplating a change. Its a gym. At this point in my experience, at least on a night schedule, nothing makes this place special.

Changed rating due to issues with pausing membership. I LOVED that they paused my membership without question due to Covid-19, but was charged for two of the months, and it took another month to refund the charges. As this caused overdraft fees, was a bit extra frustrated and did not feel heard or appreciated by those I spoke with about it. This had been a terrific place to work out and the local staff are great, but I think all of Planet Fitness needs to review policies within the current environment.

I was about to cancel my membership with Planet Fitness on my very last day when I walked in to workout my last day. As soon as I walked in ready to sign in Chelan and Jesse advised Mr.G we seen you pull up and we already signed you in and enjoy your workout. I started to workout but I kept thinking what OUTSTANDING customer service. So I didnt cancel and kept my membership and now I will be a member for life. Thank you Chelan and Jesse from the Bremerton Wa location for making me feel appreciated and special...

Im just the transportation for a disabled family member that has a free membership through their insurance plan. Every time the place is crowded and busy. People seam to like it here but Im not a member so likely not the best judgment.

Clean establishment. Had all the machines and weights I wanted and needed. Mostly friendly staff. Tanning beds!

Very clean and well-spaced for their covid guidelines, staff is always kind and never pushy/in your business, and everyone seems to respect the no judgement zone very well. This is the first gym I feel welcomed and supported at and visit multiple times per week, for multiple hours at a time! Much love!

I really enjoy working out here. The staff is really friendly and its literally a no judgment work out experience. The ladies behind the counter are always very welcoming and friendly. Jackie, who is there most of the time when I go in, is very quick to check us in and always greets us as we come through the door. As we leave, she always wishes us a good night. The staff makes it a wonderful experience to be there.

Just started going to this location and the biggest issues i have had are with the rudee karens working there. I was there working out today when the superbowl started and asked if they could turn on the game and was told NO they only do that if the home team was playing?! umm its the SUPERBOWL of COURSE its not going to be the hometeam alll the time-doesnt mean people dont like to watch the Superbowl!! i also had a phone call and the samee rudee annoying employee had the audacity to chase me down in the gym to tell me i cant finish my phone call yet she cant even change the channel?? think i will take my membership elsewhere.

THEN A COUPLE WEEKS LATER SEEN THEY TRIED TO CHARGE ME AND GOT A NSF FEE OF $32 THAT THEY WOULD NOT PAY ME BACK FOR . LOOKED ON MY BANK ACCOUNT THE NEXT MONTH AND THEY TRIED TO CHARGE ME AGAIN AND GIT ANOTHER NSF FEE OF 32.00 .SO I CALLED THERE BILLING COMPANY AND THEY POINTED THE FINGER AT PLANET FITNESS WHILE PLANET FITNESS POINTS THE FINGER AT THERE BILLING COMPANY. IM GETTING A LAWYER INVOLVED . BE CAREFUL!!!!

Very disappointed. So I was jump roping near the treadmills, and I was told by an employee that I couldnt do that! So I was like..😳what This is a gym right?... like what gym doesnt allow jump roping or any athletic workouts? You are limited to the type of training you can do at Planet fitness, so Im gonna try a more Athletic type of gym

This gym is clean and offers a variety of equipment. Staff are responsive and polite. The locker rooms are always clean. I go in the wee hours or late at night because I work night shift. It gets busy in the after work hours (4-7 or so).Took a star because they need an additional trainer. Wait is about 2 weeks to see the one they have, and theyre not there on weekends.

Very friendly service and members keep to themselves and no judgment of each other. Everyone is polite and mindful of the equipment and time spent on them.

I called this location multiple times to tell them I moved during quarantine - each time speaking to someone different who told me different things. I was assured it was canceled, then I was charged $38 two weeks ago. I called back and was told to send in writing to my home club a cancelation request, which I did. This morning I saw another $39 being charged, meaning they charged me almost $80 in a two week period. The man I spoke to today brushed me off and told me he could cancel it but couldnt refund anything, said he would leave a note for the manager, and when I said please do, the other clubs are not having this issue - he hung up on me. Incredibly unprofessional and unimpressive. This club does not reflect the business practices of other Planet Fitnesses, who have been more than accommodating during this pandemic.

Great place

We love the high quality equipment and all of the different options. The locker rooms and gym floor are always clean and the staff is friendly. We especially love the Black Card massage chairs, red light therapy, and tanning. We love “going to the spa” after working out!!

I love planet fitness, they have a very easy going atmosphere compared to the other gyms Ive been through.

The elliptical machines are almost under the TVs making it very difficult to look up to see them while working out. It would be helpful if they were moved back just a couple feet, there is plenty of room. Also, the hard paper towels do not clean the machines with pourous rubber handles.

Standard planet fitness. Everything was what youd want and expect (expect in a good way)

Planet fitness is crucial during this pandemic and I am glad that they are open to stay fit and healthy with friendly staff

Amazing hospitality. If you have any questions the staff is there to help you. You can have a free personal trainer for a short amount of time. Not very crowded past 7 and the hours are good.

Best investment ever

Recently moved to the area from NY and joined Planet Fitness after I settled in. I am happily surprised at how nice the Bremerton Planet Fitness is. It has better equipment than my old PF and more of it. The whole back room has a spa feel to it. The staff is just great. Jackie always greets us with a smile. So glad I joined PF again.

Planet Fitness Bremerton is by far the BEST gym I have ever experienced. The staff is super nice. They will help you with anything you might need. The facility itself is clean and the machines are vast. Having been to many gyms in the past, I feel this is the best of the best.

Must wear mask at all times which during cardio isnt all that fun

Showers shut down and stupid mask requirements. They roll over when Jay Inslee says.

There friendly, knowledgeable, and are there to help you. I never had so much fun working out. Kris and Lena are awesome personal trainers. They are flexible and go all out to so you can meet your goals. The Y has nothing on this place. Having fun and loving it...

Friendly staff, ample equipment, clean facilities- what more could you want from a gym? Its tough waking up at 4am to go work out, but the energy of Planet Fitness helps me get over my sleepy mental battles and go sweat instead.Showers could be cleaned more often, but its nothing horrendous.

This place is acceptable when it come to cleanliness but they do not assist the patron IF another patron is utilizing a piece of equipment for over a 1/2 hour and with which there is only one available. They do not limit time spent on such equipment in order to share with others (mutual respect).Also, I observed a gentleman come in with nice jeans and proceed to exercise. The person in charge told the man in a stern manner he needed to leave because they not allow jeans. There was no explanation,or response when the man said, “what happened to your slogan, ‘judgement free zone.”This could have been handled kindly and professionally, instead the staff chose to show disrespect to this gentleman who was humiliated in front of other patrons.

Great place. Fairly laid back and the people are polite who workout there. My son and I go all the time and Jackie who works the front desk is always in a great mood and greets us both with a smile on her face.

The place is somewhat cleaner since Covid. Most of the workers act unprofessional sharing phone number and fb pages with patrons. Also flirting and hanging on the machines while being used. Its starting to be a dating place or hook up spot.
