My ac broke down I called them person told me they would arrive between 3 and 6 and I had to be home. I’m a fan of ac so I took the day off. Six I called office or customer service or answering service whatever called three more times no one ever called me back the last call I insisted a manager call me back. I was so livid don’t know her name but she said I had wrong day. I did not she was very rude and needless to say this is not how you do good business. No way will never recommend or do business.

Incompetent is an understatement. My $17,000 system is 3 years old and at the start of the year I was down to a box fan in a window.They tried for 2 years to fix it; usually theyd come out, take a reading and say everything is fine and then leave. One time to fix the large unit they just pulled the sensor out so when water builds up it wouldnt shut off, it just dripped onto our floor. Another time they had to add 10oz of coolant, they tested the pressure said it was fine and left. Did they not fill it up on install? Was it leaking?I recently just hired a different HVAC company (Mitsubishi diamond certified as it turns out Air Inc is NOT). Immediately the tech found a leak. He didnt even have to test it, he came and got me to show me the residue where it was leaking right off the main compressor. He took it apart and found they bent the fitting on install (see picture for residue on the nut and bent fitting). He flushed the system to remove any water that shouldnt be in there and added 24oz of coolant, all 4 units blowing cold air in minutes.Then he took a look at the large unit that wasnt draining right. He started taking it apart and found a water bottle cap in the drain INSIDE the unit, see picture. It was blocking the drain. That and the unit was on the wall crooked so it wasnt draining fast enough even with the cap removed. He leveled the unit, went outside to make sure it was draining and its working fine now.Also, the service plan is a rip off. All they did was take the plastic filters out and clean them for me.

Avoid this company, you have been warned! My experience began well enough with a simple inspection. My system has been well maintained and the technician didnt have much to do so no big deal.One Sunday in the winter, however, we had no heat and having a pregnant wife I didnt want to wait it out until Monday to avoid the emergency upcharge, so I agreed to it. I understand you pay more when technicians are mostly off of work. I called to schedule the visit, accepted the $300 charge (just for the call, it doesnt cover any repair work), and told the technician I could see white buildup on the igniter and to be sure to bring a replacement. The kid showed up and replaced it in 15 minutes, and heat was back on. He charged me $400 for the repair. The problem is, it is a part that costs $40!!! You can order it on amazon for crying out loud.Understanding this kid had no authority to change a set price of repair, I called the office manager, Tracy, on Monday to check the cost and explain the situation. I was told the pricing was correct (in fact she said it was discounted from the usual $780!!!!) and it is a set price for the part and installation in order to protect the customer. When I told her that part is available on amazon for $40 (literally the same manufacturer and all) she said we dont get our parts on amazon, and we dont carry them wholesale. So because you dont know how to get your parts at a good price the customer has to be taken advantage of?? I suggest you look into it Tracy! Amazon has free delivery and apparently costs you hundreds less than your current supplier! Complete buffoonery!! I explained how $400 (on top of the $300 service call by the way) for 15 minutes and a $40 part is either a mistake by whoever priced the parts/services or it constitutes a concerted effort to take advantage of customers. *Hint* She said there was no mistake, so there you have it!!! She said she would send a $30 refund to make amends, which never arrived.I understand that giving a specific repair one set price makes it very simple and easy for your business, but when customers call to say the price is not justifiable for their specific part/unit (two huge variables), then you should probably reassess for that particular situation. From her reaction, it seems like they are happy to benefit from pricing that screws people over because they see customers as more of an opportunity than anything. This outfit has been a huge waste of my time and money. Waste yours at your own peril!

I initially had a less than satisfactory experience with the technician assigned to service our HVAC unit. I was quite surprised when the owner of the company himself called me to inquire about my experience and how he could help remedy it.He committed to finding the parts and completing the required repairs himself. He was so kind and helpful, quite the opposite of the usual disdain I have been accustomed to from most contractors since moving to Connecticut. Although our project was not very lucrative at all, he followed up multiple times to inform me of any updates and changes in schedule.

Following a call regarding NO HEAT, service tech did diagnosis and found a defective component. Apparently due to Covid, the part was not readily available. Air Inc staff went out of their way to locate the part and have it expedited overnight. Service Tech was at my home the next day to properly install. Air Inc. is responsive, communicates especially well with the customer and is technically competent.

We had previously had Air Inc install our A/C and been happy with their service so when it cam time to replace our oil fired furnace and hot water heater with a propane furnace and instant hot water system they were the first on our list. From dealing with Nat who came out to our house multiple times to go over the choices and payment options, to Tracie in the office who handled scheduling and payment and to the installation staff we are very pleased with the results. We were given equipment details, the price and timeframe. Everything is as promised. We are very happy with our new systems and will continue to use Air Inc. in the future for our HVAC needs. Thankfully, just maintenance now.

Since my dad is immune compromised I really appreciated the safety measures this company took during these tough times. The two young gentleman that installed my Mitsubishiductless system were both very professional and left my house the same way they came in. Will be sticking with Air Inc. for all my HVAC needs!

We recently had a ductless system installed by Air and could not be more delighted. I was nervous about doing any type of update to our system because our home is so old (built in the 1800s) but we were reassured that everything would go smoothly and seamless. Boy were they right! I received an estimate for a Carrier ductless mini split in December 2017. Told my salesperson that I’ll be looking to install in Spring or early summer 2018. Contacted my salesman in late June and told him I was ready to proceed with the system install. We immediately set a date two weeks out. They installed my four zone system in two days. I very happy the work they did, and most of all the units are very quiet. This is one of my best investments ever. I could never go go back to window air conditioner units. Too noisy. The professional treatment that my wife and I received from Air Inc staff is second to none. Based upon the balance of this review, you can easily understand why I am giving Air Inc a 5-star rating. Air Inc offers several heat pump product lines and their senior staff was meticulous in helping me select the 5-port package that would work well in my house. We ultimately selected a segment of the Daikin product line that has been very successful used in Europe for decades. There were not only technical specifications that had to be researched and met, but also aesthetic considerations, as well. Before selecting Air Inc, I spoke with vendors from other reputable companies; however, I felt as though, in each case, their salesperson had an agenda for steering me toward a specific product line that I ultimately determined for myself would either not be a good fit or was significantly overpriced. At Air Inc, I encountered none of this negativity and received a wealth of engineering cooperation from this vendor. Air Incs staff professionally installed 5 air distribution handlers and their related compressor at my home within one workday. No mess. No dirt. The nature of my project was such that some of the mini-split line sets had to pass through a series of closets. Making the line sets blend in with the exterior siding required a demonstrated skill that I have rarely seen matched at other non-Air Inc job sites. Two days post-installation, an Air Inc principal came to my house to personally build custom enclosures for the line sets that pass through the closets. By contrast, the other vendors told me, .. attending to the cosmetics would be my problem. The Daikin equipment is working well. No complaints.

I dont normally review companies as I am older and prefer to stay off my computer. My boiler died on Tuesday and I called Air inc., they came out the same day as my wife and I are older and I was worried it was going to be to cold this week. The service person looked over my boiler and advised I should look at a new more efficient system. They then sent a designer out on Wednesday ( the next day) who brought us a bakery box of goodies. He quoted us high efficient system and gave us an additional discount because Im a retired vet. Two days later they sent out a whole crew who installed the system and had us back with heat faster then I hoped. They were professional, cleaned as they went. Thank you so much Air Inc. We will recommend you to our friends and family.

I was days away from selling my home and a 10 year old open permit was discovered that the previous owner never closed. It was related to a high efficiency furnace replacement completed by Air Inc. (which was a great unit and we never had an issue with in 6 years). I had no previous relation with Air Inc. and called them out of the blue to see if they would speak with our towns inspector to help close it out. Within minutes, they were on the phone with him, explaining the work they did. The inspector, in an abundance of caution, recommended an additional ground wire be installed. Within a day, an Air Inc. technician was in my basement, who addressed the issue quickly. On top of it all, they never charged me. Pretty amazing service. Cant recommend more.

Im a long time customer and fan. They updated the whole system in my condo. Furnace, hot water heater and central air. All gas. There was more hot water and the condo was cooler when they were done. My gas and electric bills went down - significantly so. Yearly maintenance makes me comfortable. The ladies in the office are great. The guys in the field are knowledgeable, they listen and they answer questions. The whole company has a great customer service attitude.

I do not even want to rate this company one star. they are not deserving of any stars. Their employees are rude over the phone. Their technicians are incompetent on every level. I have been dealing with this company for two weeks in 20° And 30 weather with no heat and the promise promise and promise again of we will get you the part tomorrow. when the part comes in tomorrow we will be there. Tomorrow never comes, it has been tomorrow for two weeks. No one ever answers the phones when you call and it’s a constant recording. I hav been under a contract for service with them for over a yr. and it is supposedly a silver contract. I am now out $600. And stil no heat and no part and no technician and no call backs. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT DO BUSINESS with this inferior company!!

Air Inc is a high end, multi faceted air conditioning and heating company, or as they like to call themselves, Comfort Specialists. They installed my system many years ago and have been supporting it well ever since. After installation was complete there was a small problem that the president of their company came down himself and fixed it the same day, working until 11:30 pm. Every checkup since was performed by very polite, hard working folks. Are they perfect, no, but when they are late they call. When something breaks they fix it.. Sometimes other folks old boilers break down and they need to reschedule a checkup to do emergency service. I understand this.. If I was the emergency customer, I would hope they would come quickly, and they do. When all this needs explaining, Kelly, one of their office people has guided me thru any issues and problems that come up. I recommend them without reservation...

Do not use Air Inc. of Branford, CT. We have had nothing but problems with them since they installed our furnace and central air conditioning units. We bought our units through Home Depot so didn’t have a choice on installers. When we started using the furnace, we got an error code. We called and had our annual service done and the technician told us it was the filter. The code kept coming back and the service reps kept telling us to change the filter. When it got to the point we were changing it weekly, Air Inc. finally sent someone else out. The technician informed us that the gas manifold was not properly adjusted at the time of the original installation. He fixed it and we haven’t gotten another error code since.Next we noticed our central air conditioning system wasn’t cooling as well as it used to. We made repeated calls to Air Inc. and their customer service staff dismissed our complaints as due to the hot weather. The problem worsened till we had no air conditioning. Then they sent someone who determined it was a slow leak in the system from installation. When it was repaired, there was a leak in the repair and there wasn’t enough pipe to fix the new leak. So we had to have a perfectly good coil replaced. When they replaced the coil they failed to reinstall the condensate drain line. This caused water to pour into our home since our furnace is in the middle of our living space. When we called to have it repaired, we were again dismissed by customer service. They would only send someone out to fix it after we sent them pictures to prove we had a leak. Due to this leak, there was water in our ducting system, our wall was damaged and our carpet was wet for at least a week.Air Inc. sent a ServiceMaster representative out to survey the damage. He recommended a carpet cleaning and duct cleaning. Air Inc. refused to do the duct cleaning. A different ServiceMaster company came to do the carpet cleaning. After explaining what happened they told us the carpet padding needed to be replaced because it was wet more than 72 hours and the ducts should be cleaned and sanitized because of the standing water that had been in them. Both needed to be done as per industry standards to prevent mold growth. They sent their recommendations to the original ServiceMaster inspector. After several weeks of phone calls and e-mails, Air Inc. has refused to discuss these recommendations with us. We have only gotten unsolicited responses from the original ServiceMaster inspector. He is now trying to say our carpet wasn’t wet for more than 72 hours so the padding doesn’t need to be replaced. He didn’t even come to our home until three weeks after we had contained the leak and the carpet had dried. We had told him at the time the carpet was wet for at least four days. He is also claiming that our ducts are dirty and a cleaning would be routine maintenance. He is totally ignoring the fact that there was standing water in them so they should be cleaned to prevent mold growth regardless of how dirty they are. The first recommendation of his is based on a fabrication and the second is just discounting the facts. Making these recommendations look like he works for Air Inc. and not ServiceMaster since he is making excuses so Air Inc. would not be liable for completing the mold remediation in our home.All of these problems were easily avoidable mistakes caused by their technicians during installation and subsequent repairs. Air Inc.’s technicians caused water to leak into our home and now doesn’t want to remediate the damages caused by their own incompetence. Air Inc. doesn’t take ownership of the consequences of their own errors.

I couldnt be more pleased with AIR Inc. and their outstanding team effort in installing a heat pump just days after placing the call. From loan application to final installation. Mark, Tracie and the installers worked diligently to solve my heating issues in a home that was not well designed or built. Their expert advice turned out to be a GREAT fit for me. Truly a team that cares and listens. I highly recommend AIR Inc. and would contact them again without hesitation. It has not been an easy year for me...but they were angels to me in my time of need.

After multiple visits by senior service tech Tyler my heat was still not working. The front office is a disaster. Every time I call someone new answers the phone and I have to give them the full history again. One of the women who answered, Amber I believe, tried to tell me my call wasn’t urgent because it was 65° in my home and other people’s homes were colder. I have lost thousands of dollars between lost time at work while waiting for techs to show up at my home and unsuccessful repairs. I feel like they were trying to force me to buy new unit unnecessarily. I finally called a small local company and they fixed my heat for a fraction of the cost of what Air charged and did it on the first visit.At no point did I get the feeling that anyone there cared to help me. They just wanted money from me.

We have had nothing but problems with our Carrier mini split system. It really can’t keep up with the heat needs in cold weather, so we just use our propane stove. Every summer our first time using it results in frustration, as it doesn’t cool the house, resulting in a service call. We just turned it on for the first time Saturday and came back to a hot house. I went outside and the air coming off the compressor was about the same temperature as the air the units were blowing into the house. I have a feeling Air Inc. under-specced our system in order to get the sale. If that’s the case I wish they would have told us that our budget wasn’t enough to provide for a sufficient system rather than under gun us leaving us constantly frustrated. We’ve owned this system for three years and I’m having fantasies of winning lotto so we can have it uninstalled and dropped right in front of their office with a nasty note.Also they call and if you don’t answer they don’t leave a voicemail. What business does that in 2019?Two stars because when the system does work it keeps the house very comfortable.

THERES A REASON THE TOWNS THEY SERVICE ARE “Brandford, Farmington, Guilford etc...”. Because as other have said, their prices are literally 3 times more than average. Go ahead pay $250 an hour for service...or save your hard earned money and go with some one not price gouging for $89.

Where to begin, had multiple issues with a hot water boiler, called air” stink” have someone figure out why this system I spent 10,000 plus dollars on kept failing after multiple kids barely old enough to drive come wander around my basement with no results, I called to speak to the manager, well he apparently has no clue what a boiler is, as he kept referring to it as a water heater, so this manager named “mike” as he kept referring to as the customer experience manager, anyhow after I asked for a refund for the money I wasted with this horrendous company, he said he will speak to the owner when he gets back from a destination vacation with his son. My lawyer will handle this from here on out.. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND STAY AWAY FROM THIS TERRIBLE COMPANY!!!Also not one of the 4 technicians could show proof of any type of licensing for the HVAC industry, everyone said they were a apprentice and were waiting to take some test..

The repair people are great (WHEN THEY COME) but the front office is a disaster! I took the morning off having worked out with them that they would come in the AM - but only to discover no they were going to come in afternoon. Then they get here (2nd visit) only to say that they are going to have to replace a unit!!! Have previously been happy with them (esp the service) but this may end my relationship with them!

Booked an HVAC appointment with them to tune up my new house. The first available appointment was 3 weeks out. Fifteen minutes before the scheduled time they call to say someone got sick and they cannot make it. Fine I understand things happen, but when do they reschedule me for? Three weeks later as if I am making a new appointment! GUESS WHAT HAPPENES 15 MINUTES BEFORE MY NEXT APPOINTMENT. Oh sorry one of our guys wives had a baby (sudden baby syndrome - cant plan for that!). All these years in business but the basics elude them. Nonsense excuses, horrible planning, and wow I love when you cancel on me 15 minutes before the time when I have made arrangements to be home. Call them up if you do not care for accountability.

We were having some CA problems and Tyler came out for the service call. As soon as he went to our basement he calmly told me he smelled a natural gas odor (so faint that we never smelled it). I called the gas company and was told theyd be at the house within 30 minutes. They came and confirmed we had a leak. Tyler may have saved our lives by noticing this and alerting us. He also waited with us until the gas company came. I could go on but it needs to be known that he went way beyond the call of duty, making sure we were safe. After the gas guy left, Tyler explained to us (in laymans terms) what he would be doing to repair the issue (as the gas company sure wasnt) and assured us he would see it rectified. Weve had nothing but great experiences with Air, Inc. since we found them about 4 years ago. Thank you, Tyler!

I would give Aire Inc a 5 star rating overall for their expertise and service. We had our 53 year old heating unit replaced with a high efficiency gas heating unit and also had an air conditioning unit added during this past November. I am so pleased with the work done. This is the first year, during the past 36 years living here, that our home has been cozy and warm!!! And....my heating costs are much lower too! Bill Asprelli is the best!!!! His expert advise and knowledge of heating and cooling systems helped us choose the best units for our home. The technicians were excellent also. They were thorough, quick and neat.
