The gentleman assisting me could not have been more accommodating! He was such a pleasure and made the whole process so simple. This was my first time renting a car and I do not own any credit cards and was stressing about not being to rent as a few other companies wont rent to you with a debit card without making you jumping though a bunch of hoops and had me completely freaked out I wouldnt be able to rent a vehicle. I will be back to rent with yall again for sure! Thank you for the wonderful customer service!

The front desk lady, the older one, was so rude to me when I got there. I arrived 20 minutes early to start paperwork etc so I could be out shortly after my determined time. She said I was early, told me to leave and come back at exactly 10am, and then walked away. When I came back at 10, she then told me the car wasnt ready (I saw 3 guys and her outside talking the whole time I was waiting for it to be 10), and proceeded to make me wait there another 45 minutes past my time. This was the worst customer service experience Ive ever had, and I will never rent from Budget again because of it.

When we got there they did not have a car available for our reservation, they offered a SUV but said they would have to charge us the difference, I did not feel this was fair. They called us several hours later with a car. When we returned the car the lady at the desk did not want to go out to check the mileage and gas gauge, she sent me back out to the car to take a picture of the gas gauge and mileage. The worst and rudest rental counter Ive ever been to.

Car was not clean. Did not have a full tank of gas. Hours of operation in this location are inconvenient. Does not have a drop box for overnight return. They gave me a FREE upgrade that cost me more in fuel expenses. I prepaid for an economy car for that reason... Economical gas mileage. Im calling customer service for a credit. This location has been the worst experience I have encountered with Budget.

Awesome, great customer service. Was able to rent a very nice 2020 Jeep Gladiator for the weekend with no major credit card just my visa/debit bank card. So that made it less of a hassle. Will be my place to go when in town or to travel anywhere at a reasonable price.

The staff at the Brandon Town Center Budget location is very rude. They blame online reservation for offering me the wrong rate. The counter agent insisted in increasing my reservation rate by $200.00. This is a method to literally rob me for more money! I am so upset !

The customer service was Awesome!! However, the vehicle that I rented had me fearing for my life. The vehicle lacked traction and when it started to rain, I found myself sliding across the highway at times unable to maintain control of the vehicle. The windshield wipers froze while it was raining. Bottom line that vehicle needs to be serviced and should have been thoroughly checked before it is rented.

This Young man on the 18th the day after I picked up the car I had to bring it back it smelled like cigarettes it had no back lights the passenger set wouldnt move he when to inspect my complaint and came back in an apologize for the smell he said he did smell cigarettes too an exchange the vehicle for us

The people do not have the cars that are promised. The prices are raised if you use a debit card. They do not know their own hours of operation. they do not have a drop box for keys after 5pm. they are rude and not helpful. The list is much longer and I am tired of typing.

The staff did not arrive until the 10 am the opening time. Customers were waiting at the doors. Some were treated rudely. There were only three cars that could be checked out. I was able to pick up my rental but everything was totally disorganized customer being told that they would have to wait on a car. The manager on duty from what I could tell came in late. The staff should of been there before the opening of the store and cars should of been available when the store opened. To me this was a very poor ran operation. I typically rent from another company, but because of a number of reasons i decided to try Budget. This experience left a bad impression to me. There is never an excuse to treating customers rudely. Its not the customers fault that Budget messed up and your staff was not ready for the customers. To me this is very poor business. I hope that the staff that was on for that day will be dealt with. While writing this I remembered that around 11 years ago i rented from Avis and received poor treatment and I have not been back and will not rent from the Avis store in Orland Park, Illinois as long as that manager is there. I have already told people of the bad experience that I had and the way other customers were treated.

When I rented the car it was DIRTY! SOOOO much dog hair and sticky stuff all over the seats. I told the lady at budget who rented me the car. She documented it on my paperwork. Upon returning the car, TEN days later, there were crumbs in backseat. I have two young children. I was told upon return by the RUDE black haired lady in the skimpy tank top, that the car must be cleaned or I would be charged $80 to clean it. I cleaned the car. I used to rent from a polite young gentleman, at this same location. This is not the location closest to my house, its actually very far, but in the past I used this location because of the wonderful customer service, which is now very much lacking! Very unhappy with my experience with budget. I was understanding at the time of pick up because I was told that the detailing man went home sick and did the best he could do. Apparently only the customer is supposed to be the understanding one here.

Initial rental process went well. When I returned the vehicle the girl went to check the miles and the cleanliness of the car and told me that I was good. I said There are no additional charges and she said No. A few weeks later I get a letter in the mail from Budget saying I owe a cleaning fee. I went to the office to ask and they said it was due to pet hair. The sign on the wall said EXCESSIVE which to me means a lot of pet hair. Before I returned the vehicle I did a quick cleanup and there was not an excessive amount of pet hair. They said they would provide photographic proof via email. During my wait for proof (I would have made the payment if they could prove it) I noticed they had initiated a payment for the amount they claim I owed! Almost a week later I had not received the photos so I called and was once again told they would send them. It does not take that long to find and send photos! If the employee is going to tell the customer that there was no issues when it was turned in then there should be no additional charges. Maybe a phone call to the customer explaining it would have been nice instead of a letter. They can really use some training on customer support!

I like to come to the publix in this square but this time one of his cashiers from the express box was rude and arrogant and did not attend him for bringing an extra product and told me to go to the other box, however the person who was Behind me if she attended her and what she brought in her basket was one less product than the one I brought in my basket! This is not to mention that there were no people for her to attend ... bad bad all my family buys here and this day I give it a zero ... 0% ... it was raining I am with my baby and they did not offer me gloomy no help.

I have always disliked doing business with Enterprise and a couple of years ago started using HERTZ for our car rental needs and was very pleased with them and I needed a Chevrolet Suburban and HERTZ said they didnt have vehicles that big and to call Budget so we did and they were fantastic. We actually got an actual Chevrolet Suburban and the whole process was quick and painless and the staff was so friendly. I will continue to use Budget from now on and will recommend Budget to anyone in need or a rental vehicle. The customer service alone blows their competition away.

I would have given a higher number but all the different times that I have rented from the Brandon mall location they never have a car, either have to wait for one to be sent or get lucky and someone just happened to return a car. Even the lady working there knowledge that it happens all the time that people reserve a car and when you go to pick it up no cars available. I will be looking for a new place to rent a car from now on. Who ever manages this location has no clue how to run an effective business.

Oh I’ll be taking this one up with the Better Business Bureau. They rented us a truck without doing an inspection. Once it was loaded up we realized one of the tires was torn, then when it blew out and needed to be replaced, they had the audacity to charge us to replace it, and sent the bill to collections, as if it wasn’t their responsibility to replace the torn tire before renting out the vehicle!

Last time reserving a car here. I reserved the car two weeks in advance and then called before picking it up to confirm. Once I arrived to pick it up, I was told that there were no cars available. I asked if there were any at nearby locations and was told probably not because it was a very busy time. What good does a reservation do? Also confirming it and not being available is unexcusable.

Had a res for New Years Eve so I could move when I was off on New Years Day. The res was accepted but when I arrived the office was closed, no notification. Called the location & got the national office who said theyd call me back to try to help me & didnt call back either. Noted that Budget Truck rental will just ghost you at every level. Stay away, for sure the experience will likely be better with U-Haul or Enterprise.

If I could provide a 0 star I would. I have been a customer at budget for 9 years. This year alone my husband and I have spent a pretty penny both on business and personal. I recommended budget to colleagues etc. I am not a happy camper. When I came in I noticed the manager G. speaking in Spanish two ladies, unfortunately I dont speak the language but I thought I would be greeted with the same enthusiasm I was wrong I was not greeted at all. I was a bit late about an hour due to standing in the wrong line Sears auto as they share a space. The person who served me rolled her eyes twice and said the tank needed to be filled up so I went to the gas station and filled it up (it took $6.00 to fill up). Afterwards I came back and the assistant said I was already an hour late and will be charged for an extra day. The two people there were beyond rude and I most certainly was not tested with any respect. I was a budget gal but I cant in good conscious rent from this company anymore. Not after being insulted and mistreated like this from staff knowing that I was initially in the wrong line and really just their non customer service oriented attitude. It seems like den businesses just dont care.

On February 12, 2020 at 11:26 AM, I received the reservation confirmation number 24349276US0 for my order for a Ford Focus 4DR/5PSGR or similar car. I prepaid $250.13 with my American Express credit card. I even received a picture of the vehicle which I had prepaid for and the breakdown for the cost of the rental. My pick-up date was Fri. Feb 21, 3:00 PM and the return date was Sun, Mar 01, 1:00 PM. When I arrived at Budget, your representative informed me that the only car they had available for the price which I had prepaid for was a Dodge minivan. According to your Budget representative they didn’t deliver my reserved car and she told me that when she called her manager about my situation, her manager told her to deal with it. I didn’t want the mini van because it was too large for me. I was told that the only thing that she could do for me was to provide me with an upgrade which was $20.00 more a day for the nine days it would have been another $180.00. I really could not afford this, so after being in the Budget office for over one hour and calling customer service (a man named Luis who provided me with case #32348144) he said that he would give me a credit after the return of the car. After which, your budget representative said that she had a CRV that she could rent me for an additional $10.00 per day. How did this happen, if she only had the mini van or an upgrade Chevy Malibu? Did this car through a miracle suddenly appear? She even offered me a Camaro as an upgrade, at the cost of $10.00 per day. Where are these cars coming from? I believe that this particular Budget is running a scam and their customer service attitude can use improvement. I was charged an additional $124.54 on my USF Federal Visa credit card, plus I was also charged $224.54 and was issued a credit for the $224.54 on March 4th this was after I contacted the Budget office with their double charging me on two separate credit cards. I will never used Budge again.

Guess I should have read the reviews before booking a reservation... First of all, the location is kind of a dump. The trucks looked a bit run down (though I didnt actually get inside of one for reasons Ill explain in a bit) and the actual location was inside of a Sears Auto (which should tell you all you need to know about its cleanliness).I made a reservation here due to the after hours drop of ability. What they dont mention during the online reservation process (even though I put that I would be dropping off after business hours in my reservation) is if you need to use that feature its an additional charge! What a slimy move. It ended up being a huge waste of my time, as I drove all the way there only to end up canceling my reservation.While the young gentleman assisting me was fine, it was obvious he didnt really care if the place got my business or not. Fine then, Ill make sure to bring my business elsewhere in the future.

I have been renting vehicles from this location for over eleven years. I rented often, at one point 2-3 times a month for business and personal reasons. The couple that managed the business when I initially started, where very kind, friendly and offered premium customer service. I never had any concerns, and any renal problems were fixed immediately. I continue to rent from this location even with the change of management, no concerns, still acceptable customer service.As of late I was appalled at the way I saw a service agent speak to another customer to the point I contacted the cooperate office to voice my concerns. Each time I saw this service member encounter a customer, she was rude, abrupt and just plan mean spirited, I even noted it to the owners on one occasion.My last rental from here was a nightmare with her mean spiritedness towards me because I was early for a reservation. Although I tried to explain everything was last minute due to an unexpected personal situation. When I finally did get the car (now 4 minutes late from my reservation time) it had a horrible cigarette smoke smell along with a strong bleach, dirty mop water cleaner smell. It actually burned the back of my throat and left a nasty taste in my mouth. Due to the horrible, nasty service I received from the rental agent I contacted cooperate costumer service to remedy the situation, which caused me the inconvenience of driving to the airport to get a drivable vehicle.Budget was very kind and I was able to enjoy my rental without choking or having a sinus attack.Upon returning the vehicle I left my sunpass transponder, and O-what-a –surprise, it couldn’t be located! Now I need to spend money to have it replaced, although my husband clearly saw it in a drawer when he went to retrieve it the next morning.I will now have no expectations of quality service if/whenever I use this location ever again!

Thank you for wasting well over an hour of my time for nothing. I made a reservation prior to showing up to save time, was supposed to pick up my vehicle by 3:45 pm. I arrived there at 3:50 and was not greeted or said anything to until 4:15 when I was told they did not have the car that was reserved for me and all that was available was a vehicle that I did not want. You might have saved yourself a bad review had he greeted me and checked what I was in there for and told me it was not available when I first walked in. But the fact that I sat there with a sleeping child for over 35 minutes after making a 20-30 minute phone call to reserve the vehicle only to be told you dont even have it? I would give you negative stars if I could. And Ill definitely be telling anyone I know that needs to rent a vehicle to steer clear of budget.

I went here about a week ago to reserve a moving truck and other supplies was greeted with rude customer service the sassy lady at the front desk who would clearly rather be shopping at sephora and the guy who didnt seem to know how to do anything sitting on the computer the older woman and man (Im assuming the parents) that only left the office to talk to the employees and go back oh and their lengthy conversations (in Spanish) seemed more important then helping the customer while its a little further I took my business to uhaul I was not disappointed 👍

Lease the car over the phone the price was a good price how to extend out the car rental went in to see how much it would be I was told one price go back there to turn the car back in and it was a total another price over $120 more than what I was told the first time all kind of things added on to it was very unhappy when you asking price you want the final price not what they think you want to hear was very unhappy with the end of the car rental

Quite possibly the worse rental experience. Budget advertise cheap flat rates but they have tons of hidden charges. My estimated cost went from 78 to double that! Staff was unable to explain most of the extra charges. When we got to the truck is had an awful smell and the mileage was off by 100. If we hadnt noticed that we would have paid for 100 miles we didnt even drive! Youre better off using Uhaul!

I booked Car 2 weeks before (with full payment), Today (05/22/2018) when I went to pick a car, she told there is no car available asked me cancel the booking and gave the number to cancel when I asked the reason one of the employee shouted in bad words. Very worst Budget Car Rental location. I did not happen not only to me in this location. After the argument she gave the smoked car (I dont have choice to re-book so accepted what ever avaialable). Budget will loose all his customer if they are continuing like this. Not even a single star worth.

Out of all the years renting vehicles and traveling, this has been the best experience I have ever had. I told them they are now my new spot to come to when I need a vehicle.

This was the worst experience I had in renting a truck to move ever in my life. First I made the reservation and it all seemed fine. However when I actually arrived the only lady there looked like shed rather be in bed than being at work. Then when I actually got to talk to her she said my reservation was for a 12 when I had done so for the 16. I pulled my email confirmation up and she still tried to argue about it. Then she finally decided to try to see if she could fix it and took what seemed like forever. The whole time she just looked bored . The customer service was so bad it left a nasty taste in my mouth. Moving is already stressful and if you show up to work the least you can do is pretend to care about your customer. I would give no stars if it was an option.

Wish I could some how give no stars. Schedule to pick up a moving truck from Budget Brandon Sears at 5:30pm August 4th. Walk in and was greeted by Abby asked how she could help in reality she could not help at all and she knew that. After telling her I was there to pick up a truck she said well my systems down its nothing I could do. While that may have been very true its called CUSTOMER SERVICE. How about Abby try this Sorry our systems are down and causing you to have a delay in your move. Let me try and find you a close location. At least to keep my business but No, Instead I got what do you want me to do and I ask do you not call your customers a head of time to let your customers know. Again her systems are down this is to Budget have a back up plan or have a better person to represent your company. I ended up calling uhaul also in Brandon just down the street on the phone and they had a truck ready within the 5 minutes I got there I will always recommend Uhaul over Budget.

If I could put negative I would. Representives are rude and do not treat anyone with respect. Vehicle was dirty and had paint/blood stains all in the insides. Carlene did not want to help us at all and when as if she could help us switch the reservation from 12 to 16 truck she gave me corporate and told me she couldn’t and to call them. Once I called them they told me they would make my reservation to one and that she would need to help us with the rest. When I went inside to tel her she still did not want to help us. We were paying customers and felt like we were the bother. Took pictures of everything and when I went to report the incident to them. When they saw I was complaining they noted the issues as I was telling them about it! Called corporate and was on hold for 48 minutes to speak to a manger and no one answered. Called back 3 times and was told no help could be made because of notes they put after I returned the truck! When I told them the vehicle was dirty Gio responded “well it’s drivable”. Carlene told me to return by 1pm and charged me for being 2 hrs late bc it was suppose to be 11am drop off. Ended up getting charged two days and a late fee with no explanation! Only had the vehicle for one day! When asked to speak with manager was first told that Gio would go get them but when I asked again suddenly the magager wasn’t there. The whole time come to find out I was speaking with the manager. Was in tears because of the way the reps and Gio were speaking to me. I have never in my life felt so disrepected and mistreated ever before. Carlene and Gio need to be fired, customers do not come first here. Will never ever shop here and will make sure no one I know will either.

I arrived at the pick up location and there are NO TRUCKS! I drove from out of town one hour away to pick up this truck and there are NO TRUCKS. Why did no one notify me? Why did your website allow me to book if no trucks are available? I was told I will be called tomorrow morning at 730 am to be told if I get a truck or not. How will I get a truck if tomorrow is Labor Day and Budget locations around here are closed according to this Budget worker in front of me at Brandon Sears? I will be delayed one whole day and today and tomorrow are the only days I have off from work to move! I expect compensation for this HUGE delay! Where am I supposed to stay tonight as I wait for this truck that might not be available tomorrow? This is terrible planning on Budget. I am in disbelief. The budget staff make it sound like this happens regularly and were not phased by this. I really hope thiscompensation is worth my wait. Beware everyone: call to confirm your order right after you reserve online.

The owner of this location drove me to the local shop where my vehicle was being repaired after I dropped off the vehicle to the Budget location when the shop couldnt come get me in the time I needed to go. . That means a lot to me for customer service.

When I booked the vehicle I asked for the gps since I had to go from Tampa to Miami and I had no internet on my cell phone. When I arrive they tell me that they do not have GPS because they removed it from the vehicles. As I had to go down to the Miami airport, I had to go to a store to buy a GPS, spending almost $ 120 on it. They should withdraw the gps option in vehicles on the website if they no longer have it available.
