I missed Golden Corral by USF. I was told not to go to this one. I went yesterday for my birthday....I had diarrhea today. Be careful, I hope your experience is better than mine. Also the prices went up this past Friday.

Even though we got here close to closing time the food was still coming out hot fresh and good.

I didn’t even visit this location and absolutely wouldn’t at this point. I called to ask the manager “Jackie” if she had any idea about other restaurants openings and if she knew when they would be opening. Well, she spoke so rude to me, I was appalled. I WORK in the restaurant industry, and if I ever heard a manager speak to a customer with the obnoxious and annoyed tone that Jackie used while speaking to me today, I would absolutely make sure it didn’t happen again. This is completely uncalled for considering I was just curious and my curiosity was met with a nasty and unprofessional response. I am not a complainer and I’m far from a “Karen”, but this is going to lose customers if her attitude doesn’t improve or she continues holding a management position. I feel sorry for her employees and anyone that woman interacts with. I would like a follow up. My email is the best Method to contact me. I will also be contacting corporate. Thanks

Lately, with a new management the restaurant has improved a lot. Good prices and food.

Our waiter was phenomenal we had a party of 8and he was amazing. Lady at the cash register told me I could only give him a $10 tip. She acted real shady with my debit card blocking the register with her body.... idk

This is my fathers favorite restaurant. He loves it here. He can eat as much as he wants. He loved the fried chicken & fried okra. I have taken him here often. Theres a good selection of different foods and the price is budget friendly.

30 people waiting to be seated, not terrible considering it was a Sunday evening. The queue was not air-conditioned and was very uncomfortable. The staff at check out was friendly. The service staff was backed up but tried their best to make sure drinks were full and dirty dishes were taken as needed. The line for food was a free for all. Kids playing with food in the line putting plates on their heads and not being supervised. People cutting in line. Dirty plates and utensils at the stations. Food was pretty bland even for a buffet. Watching people cough and use the serving utensils was a huge turn off. Manager stood behind our table and watched over operations and it was rather uncomfortable to have someone hovering while eating. Staff so overwhelmed that the establishment looked like it hadnt been swept or cleaned in months. Food everywhere on the floor and worst part.... flies by the ice cream machine. I will not return to this location. Overcrowded and gross.

Ginger, our server was awesome. A little pricey for the quality of the food, but theres a decent variety.

The food is either tasteless, as if its old or stale, or its so over seasoned you cant eat it. The waitstaff is amazing and attentive however so that was good. They need better enforcement of their covid protocols however.

2 stars because the food is ok but the waiting staff is horrible they just stand around talking it up with the manager in the corner. They could use a-lot of improvement with the customer service my mother spilled her drink and i had to wait five mins for it to get cleaned which i did myself and waited another 10 for a replacement drink when the staff decided to stop talking to each other

Me and my family loved our experience tonight, we left happy and full. Other than that our waitress was kind and as helpful as we needed.

Very disappointed in the lack of healthy items to choose from on the buffet. Everything was fried or high carbohydrates. For the price I had to pay, I felt very ripped off considering my diet considerations (diabetic). They only safe items were meat (very dry and no flavor) or a salad..neither of which was worth a $15 price tag.I will not be returning at all. I had hoped there would have been more variety to choose from, but nope. To top it off, I asked for a refill of diet soda and the waiter brought back a regular soda.

I visited the Brandon location on a Sunday, I couldn’t believe the amount of people in line to eat. I had the pleasure to meet a server named Eileen she was very pleasant and I must say I was impressed with her service. I appreciate her promptness and personality, I will be returning soon.

Food was great, a good variety ( plenty of salad, toppings, fruits dressings, vegetables, a variety of fry meat or gilled meat, eggs are real eggs not a store bought eggs already mix in a milk carton). All you can eat and choose whatever you like. Great service, Judy was the best waitress. The only downside is that the bathroom smells bad.

Unfortunately almost all the food was very salty which took away any flavor. I was only able to eat the corn and the zucchini squash with onions. Their bathroom had this horrible smell coming from the drains. It needs to be disinfected with something. The bathroom was clean just stinky. The server in my table was nice.

I visited Brandons location today to check out the place and was amazed how they are running the restaurant.Once you pay, they hold you for a few minutes to let you know which table will be available, they also bring the plates to the table and they have gloves just before you start serving yourself, thats fantastic, I think they should keep it that way, its more hygienic.they were keeping clean everything around and the food was good too. for the price they offer. also anew thing since not many people Carry cash and tip is not added in your bill you can get cash there to tip the attendant.Great job.I think the manager was the one at front, but all the staff were doing a great job.👍👍

Very disappointed. Today 8/1/2021 at 6:00pm It was super full and we were 8 people (including a 3-year-old girl and a pregnant woman), the lady who is in charge of the entrance a little rude told us in short words that if it want seat together maybe we had to wait a long time and I understood it perfectly since there are many of us. 10 minutes later a very friendly waitress asked us how many we were, we told her again that 8, told us that she would try to place us together but maybe it would be complicated, we understood it perfectly. Like 3 to 5 minutes later I began to see the lady who attended the entrance notifying that she had 6 people, people who arrived after us. About 5 minutes later the waitress came to tell us that she had already found a place for us 8, the lady at the door was upset because according to her there were 6 before us, when even the cashiers agreed that we paid first. My husband asked for the refund of the money because it was not fair that we waited more time when we were first, NOBODY, not even the MANAGER, took the trouble to verify the hour in the receipts of both and corroborate that we were first. We went to Pollo Tropical where there were only two families dining inside which equates to less risk of contagion, we paid much less, it was super tasty and we enjoyed it more.

I have been eating at Golden Corral in different times during the last 10 years. I believe the COVID-19 pandemic has made them better because it seams much cleaner, tastier and more organized. Lunch or dinner buffet is a no brainer with plenty of options for all tastes, from salads to delicious steaks and sea food. Plus a wide variety of desserts and drinks. Price is tough to beat for everything that you get. It is a place that at least you should try once. I’m sure you’ll be back. Depending on the arrival time it can get pretty packed. Plan ahead. It also offers a great breakfast buffet. Definitely recommended.

They have signs to get your food from buffet in one direction to help avoid contact and being close to others. No one Manager from GC is out on floor to remind customers of their wish. So people are coming from every direction to get food.

The staff is absolutely one of the most friendliest group of people that Ive been around in a while. Place is clean and well ran! Great dining experience 😀

Usual extensive choice of food and drinks. Very, very busy around 7pm on a Sunday and had to wait a few minutes for a table to become free. Our waitress Rocio made us feel very welcome and went the extra mile in providing excellent service. In fact the best waitress we have ever had in 20+ Golden Corral visits all over the states. First time in a GC restaurant that the steak from the grill was tough,

Just surprised to see buffet going on with covid-19 around,the place was neat and clean,and gloves provide for those who want one with sanitizer.

Spending 80 dollars for a family of 6 usually qouldnt complain. But the quality of food was horrible. Didnt feel safe even eating the steak. The only thing that was good was the server.

Clean facility, friendly staff and wonderful smells, the smells are free. We were escorted to a convenient table, my companion uses a wheeled walker.The 4 (?) primary stations included salads, grill, griddle and meats. Did I forget desserts? There was a wide variety of food at each station. The food was moist and tender. The colorful food had plenty of serving utensils.We were allowed to enjoy our selected food at our leisure. People came to other tables after us and left before us. We were not encouraged to leave, in fact, we were asked if we wanted extra plates or beverages. Though tips are not encouraged, we each left a dollar on the table and a smile on our faces. A nice visit.

I really like the buffet and the selections that are offered, but I dont go as often as I would because they really need to clean up the one in Brandon. i’m not insinuating that the restaurant itself is dirty but it’s very old and rugs are very worn and it’s kind of depressing. it needs to be brightened up so that it appears cleaner and more inviting.

It was the day before Fathers day. Lines were long, which I expected. Due to covid they bring your plates and silverware to you, which I understand. But the section were I ate was dirty. The table I was assigned wasnt properly cleaned and the tables around me were dirty. Maybe a large gathering with no clean up staff yet? The waitress assigned was a great bonus and check on us several times throughout our stay. The food was hot and fresh. Maybe it will be better visit the next time and most definitely not close to a holiday. Happy eatings!

Havent been at a golden corral in 2 years . People were very nice and has sanitizer and gloves and the food was great.

Love the food, every family member from the children to the seniors and everyone in between gets what they want. The servers always are very accommodating to our needs.

Arrived here an hour before closing time.. wish I would have looked at the food first.. their was barely any food and what was there was either old or cold, their food selection was not appealing at all and we were asked to finish grabbing what we wanted to eat at 9:03pm when closing time was 9:00pm.. if that were the case they should not have charged us full price for half a selection of food... wont be returning here again!!!

This is by far the WORST golden corral i have been to. AC is never turned on, dishes and silverware are not cleaned good because of that i asked for plastic silverware and they even wanted to charge me for that ! Very few food selection compared to other golden corrals.

It was okay at best. Hell, you shut down the best Golden Corral in Tampa. The location at North 56th Street in Temple Terrace. My wife and I used to go to that location at least 3 nights a week. Just to keep a sub-par location open. Also, the N 56th Street Temple Terrace location seated more customers, it was a much larger location then the Brandon location and had much better and amazingly fantastic wait staff. Where the Brandon wait staff to be PERFECTLY HONEST, THEY COULD DO MUCH MUCH BETTER (STAYING OFF THEIR PERSONAL CELLPHONES WOULD HELP IMMENSELY), THEN THEY MAY GET AN APPROPRIATE TIP SHOWING THE CUSTOMERS APPRECIATION.

When me and girlfriend went there . It was really busy with biglines was mothers day . We had doubts they would be unorganized out of food. But we pleasantly surprised the entire restaurant crew and management .where on top of the game and very prepared for mothers day . We got seated, we got to eat what we want . In the end it turned into a great dining experience all golden Coral employees and managers me and girlfriend came In Contact with where very nice and professional . And restaurant was clean as well . And they where able to keep up turn over of customer new and leaving ones . Without any problems .

Cant say much about this place, not the greatest, and not the worst. Had staff verbally fight among each other during my visit and cant figure out why but this place makes my stomach hurt after a while. Dont come here for quality, come here for volume.

We went out as a family for dinner. I know it was an hour before closing but that shouldnt matter with service. My husband asks for a medium well done steak. He ended up with this RAW steak. This is still mooing we went and told them about it and the cook says I dont speak English so after that I find the manager and he offers a new steak and at this point we are no longer hungry as the c02 in the soda machine was down as well so no drinks unless u like tea water or lemonade. They was still serving that soda until I came in and brought it to their attention. I just wanted the manager to know what was going on. In the end we got a refund but all we wanted was a nice family outing with some nice good food but ended up not eating But before we left we gave a tip to the only server that was helpful and kept coming to check on us even though it wasnt even his section! Thank you kindly good sir!

Disappointed that on a Friday, the ice cream machine was out. But the worst thing was at 530pm, steak was not ready. When we would go to get steak, the chef would back away. When I asked the manager, all he said was steaks ready at 4, go up and get some. Ruse. Someone in my party went up for the 3rd time. Steak was just being cut and still raw. We were there for over an hour and never got steak. We will NEVER go to this Golden Corral again!

Great food and variety. Better than any located in Tampa.

I do enjoy this place. Its not the fanciest, but they have great fried chicken and pot roast. The restrooms are a bit shaggy but they are always clean. This is one place that my family of seven is always able to find something to eat. There are a lot of choices. Reasonably priced, considering the options. And they always have fresh fruit. This is a must for my kiddos.

1st Post 012821...Visited on a Thursday, 6pm. Short wait in line. Wait staff was attentive with drinks and plate removal. They have plastic gloves that patrons are expected to use but very few use them. Apparently management doesnt care about it. Lots of different foods to select from but some items were low in quantity awaiting staff to refill them. Foods were good. Some a bit salty. In and out in an hour. Cost was $30 for 2 adults.

Excellent Value with a full line of unlimited servings of various special hot meals along with fresh fruits, vegetables, bread, cake desserts including soft serve ice cream .... They got it all, worth the wait even at busy times ... Hands down its the best deal in town!

Not impressed. Servers cross contaminated clean plates with dirty plates by carrying stacks leaning against their uniforms.

Good, good food, but so crowded it is hard for them to keep restaurant clean.

I went around brunch time and was satisfied by the variety of food. My only disappointment was that the waiter took a minute to bring out our plates and the employees were not enforcing everyone to wear gloves while getting their food. Overall good experience.

Celebrating a birthday the place of choice. Quality time with my nephew he will always remember. The staff was great and showered much love and hospitality on his special day.

I took my neighbor to pick up a order she had called in the day before mothers day and the manager was so adamant that she needed to be there by 10:30 to pick up the food on mothers day. We got there at 10: 25 and the order was not ready n we had to wait another 40 minutes for it. The manager didnt apologize n didnt offer her any discount of any kind.

Staff is friendly, food is fresh, it could be better though. So far the best GC is at Kissimmee, if you’ve been there you’ll know why.

This place is so clean the buffet was spotless and the lines are very organized great the coffee cup is never empty your iced tea glass is always full the food is great and that was my first time being at a Golden Corral

The roof was leaking i had to pay for plastic utensils. The waitress never cleaned our table off from the plates and free refills she just asked did we need anything else. Anotjer waitress from other tables had to clear our table off. Food was ok but i dont tjink i will be back no time soon.

Their food Sunday morning was hot, fresh, and delicious. No one had opened the door yet and Ms Jackie came she was so pleasant. She greater every individual person in the line with a genuine good morning. She assisted all the staff asking if they needed assistance. There was a male supervisor he was soooo friendly and supportive he ensured the safety of the guests advising of the gloves to fix plates. I was so pleased with their service. I hadnt been there in a while. My dad, Pastor Baker, has and he says their service is consistent and pleasurable everytime
