It is impossible to get ahold of anyone in that building. I am new to the area and you call and call and call and no one answers the phone it is extremely frustrating.
We are new to the area. We bought a home in Merrifield, Mn. The home already has 2 ctc boxes installed. So we thought it would be easy since it was there to call and switch billing names and take over the account. I called 2weeks ago and left a message. We never got a call back. So I called again a week ago, and again no call back. What a shame ! So we went with Spectrum. Don’t no if you need your equipment back. I guess if you do someone should go thru phone messages.

Got a call back. Was told, that they would have to check to see if service is available in my area. I am still waiting for a call back. Their office is 1/4 mile from my residence
Great ISP. I moved to to a new area but they do not have their fiber lines yet..Furthermore, I have been working with them and they have been VERY good in listening to my concerns and provided prompt communication. (They call me back and listen)**Its really a great thing we have a local ISP in Brainerd. We have a local service that goes the extra mile when needed. You do not see this option in many cities!**I utilize their services at multiple locations for work and everything is top notch. (fast and ultra reliable)I just hope they expand their in city coverage.A great all around provider! -Steve

This company is terrible. Their internet is terrible. Their customer service is, you guessed it, terrible. The only reason I use them is because I am forced to since Im a renter and my area leases lines from Century Link. Talk about cheap, they cant even install their own lines! My internet goes down regularly. They have serviced my line about 8 times now. The kicker, they make it sound like they are doing YOU a favor by crediting your account for any downtime. If you are considering using them dont! Go elsewhere if possible.
If your looking for fiber optics in Brainerd good luck. We are barely out of the stone age. The power lines and poles were just replaced and still no fiber optics. When will the next upgrade be in another 30 years?

We had service with ctc. We mailed a check to be reached by the third. We placed stop on the check because it had not been cashed. They suspended our service and later on perm disconnected us even though we said we would pay it may 3rd they said they would not wait and we found this out after they disconnected us not before. Poor customer service and poor communication.(Edit) CTC took payment and reconnect order was placed. Upped to four stars would be 5 if communication was better.
I Have been a Business customer with CTC for over 8 years, I called in and talk to someone about my bill ( I Got a FINAL NOTICE in the Mail) When the Bill was Only 7 Days Past Due... (It was verified, by the person on the phone), but yet at the end (after putting me on hold) then said they made a mistake--- somehow??? .... And then was rude and hung up on me. I Just Dont see How they can Send a DISCONNECTION OF SERVICE FOR PAST - DUE BILL FINAL NOTICE, When I did not get a first Notice ... and it was Only 7 days passed Due....!!!! - ( Piss Pour ) - If I always treated my customers like that, I wouldnt have any.
Have had CTC for internet for many years because they are our only option other than charter (which is way more expensive). We have to reset our router constantly and the service is sketchy and slow. They also say they profit share. Supposedly we are entitled to almost $400 after all the years weve had them but they wont pay it out so dont count on it. We are in a fairly big complex in town but they wont run tv out our way so Ive only had Netflix and Hulu for 11 years.
When I first took over my business the former owner had CTC for there phone and internet. When getting the service changed over to my name they (unknowingly) had me sign a 5 year contract. I purchased cameras for the business and the CTC internet service was DSL so the connection was too slow to keep with the the new camera system. When I called them to cancel service they informed me that my contract pay off would be over $3000 but if I kept them for phone service they wouldn’t charge me. So I bit the bullet and kept them for phone service. Their phone service has been ok but it doesn’t include any long distance service so I can’t even call the next town without incurring an additional charge. With all the cell phones now days there’s a bunch of prefixes and the lack of long distance is becoming more and more painful so now it a year later and I thought I would check again to see what the penalty would be and it’s still over $1000. Don’t understand how a customer driven company could treat their customers like this and be able to stay in business. I have called them several times to see if they could offer some kind of fair resalution but nothing has been offered. I would not recommend anyone to ever do business with this company. I will make sure tell everyone I can

Weve had CTC for our business for many years and everytime a storm comes through, we lose our internet and phones. Which it happens, but when you call them to get this fix it takes forever for anything to be done. Still waiting as I type this from my phone. 🤬

Cable and internet service is terrible. The cable freezes constantly and the dvr records when it wants to. The internet service is weak and slow. Have called about these issues and nothing has been done. Way to many problems to be paying this much. Looking for new provider. And now 2 months later I am tring to watch shows that i have recorded and all I get is a black screen. When I was living down in the cities I didnt have nearly as many problems with my cable and I was paying half as much this company blows!!
We have had telephone and internet service with CTC for many years and have always enjoyed great service.
Horrible company, they know they have the market cornered in the brainerd lakes area and they will do everything they can to screw you. They force you into plans that make no sense and gouge you on reconnect fees and service fees. Customer service center is a joke as they cant help you with anything, they just apologize and say screw you. Would not have this company as an ISP if there were ANY other options in my area.
The absolute worst ISP Ive ever used. High latency, packet loss, terribly slow upload and download speeds, and random disconnects. Anybody in the Brainerd, MN area: DO NOT USE CTC as a provider. They rip you off and give you terrible internet service in return. Charter has a far superior internet service for the same price or less per month.
Consistent service, understanding and easy billing, and not a massive monopoly corporation like Charter.
