Matt is amazing and they have an awesome combination of analog and digital gear, new stuff and vintage. Hes not only an amazing engineer and producer but also a great musician in his own right and a top notch bass player. Do not hesitate to trust him with any kind of project you need recorded!

I am a classical singer and I first started to work with and get to know Matt DeSear in 2012. I have since made four recordings with him. The most recent recording was made in November 2017 when he recorded and videoed my art song recital live. To me, Matt is the ideal colleague. He is the consummate professional, highly talented in what he does and a genuinely nice man. I have always felt comfortable and supported when working with him. Burnt orange is the only place we go for our recording needs. It is a superior facility and Matt is extremely knowledgeable and easy to work with.

What an amazing studio experience! We were recommended Burnt Orange Studios by a friend who knew we were looking for a quality local studio and the recommendation was one of the best decisions weve made as a band. The studio is impeccably clean and professional. There is a main room for various instruments as well as two other smaller rooms to put your amps, do scratch vocals, etc. Matt DeSear the owner and sound engineer did an amazing job micing everything and capturing exactly what we wanted out of our first studio album. He also mixes and masters on site if youre looking for those services, and his rates are more than reasonable. He understands all the ins and outs of recording better than anyone I know and is an all around nice guy and extremely easy to work with. They recently got a beautiful piano in the studio too, so if you have keys or are a pianist its the place to check out. We liked our recording experience so much that we recently returned to record some tracks for an EP we have coming out in March.Definitely give Burnt Orange a look if you are in the market for a quality, reasonably priced, fun studio to work with.
