Very disappointed in Tires Plus. The Rt 70 location replaced a damaged tire on my Lincoln Navigator under a road hazard warranty. They used a different tire than what was on the vehicle already. I decided to return and replace the other 3 so they would match to find out that the tire they installed was grossly underrated for the weight requirement of the vehicle. Once this was discovered I expected them to replace the tire with the appropriately rated tire but was told it was not their fault by Reuben, the associate working. Tires plus was deceitful when they knowingly installed the wrong tire but they showed how poor of a company they truly are when the refused to correct their mistake.

Have always had a good experience. Prices are higher than expected at times but I know Ill get good service.

Went for an oil change today (I normally go to the one on University, but this one offers online scheduling, and it was after hours when I thought to schedule).It started out very standard, no issues. However, when it came to the point they said it was done, the associate made a comment that my car calls for a better oil than they used. Well, why did you not use the correct oil? Or even ask what has been used? He then said I should be using a synthetic blend, at the very least. I looked at him and said I use FULL synthetic. He said oh. Hold one, then-- we ARENT done. Apparently, they used standard oil, in my 2017 Civic. They then had to drain it and redo the whole thing...I would expect a place that does oil changes on a daily basis to know what kind of oil a car takes...and if theyre the least bit I sure, heres an idea: ASK THE CUSTOMER... I will be sticking to my University location from here on out.

Fixed tire, job was completed way earlier than initial estimate. Reasonable price as well

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I had an 8am appointment to do an oil change and to add new wind shield wiper blades. Two and half hours later the car is done only to get half way up the road to realize they never even put on the new blades. This store is a joke

Only place I take my car to right now. The staff has a lot of experience and their manager is ready to jump in and help his team out.The staff is very helpful and considerate to your needs and they ensure everything gets done in a timely fashion.

Had tire issue and they also did an inspection. Driving my car home it start running really rough and had a friend come help and he found they had damaged my spark plug wire and wrapped it in electrical tape which did not last long and electricity arked out to the engine block. Went back and they denied that they did it and would not help with replacements. Seemed like they were either poor mechanics and would not own their mistake or were trying to scam me into getting more work done there. Do not use as I have heard other stories about this place that are the same.

Purchased tires from this location 3 weeks ago. Have been back twice since for vibration issue and still havent solved problem. Made appointment for today at 11am to have tires replaced with better tires under their 90 day buy and try. Spoke to Glen when I set the appointment and when I arrived he was off. The guy at the counter said its gonna be 2 hours or so, I dont feel I should have to wait 2 hours for an issue that wasnt resolved the first two times. The guy that was the service manager for the day said well your appointment is at 11 and its 1030. He basically said that he cant touch my vehicle till that time. Thats not the way to WOW the customer

Told me he had time to swap the popped tire for a new one and balance it but once I get there he said he doesnt have enough time because the tire is still on the rim. It literally take 30 seconds to take it off the rim so he turned me away because he had to take the tire off the rim and that takes wayyyy too much time. Hate to break it to you but I worked at a tire shop for 2 years you can lie to all your other customers but certainly not me ;)

Mike L. provided me service with an EXCELLENT and infectiously positive attitude. Answered all my questions and even went out of his way to inform and show me things I should look out for with my tires.

Big decision! 2006 Tundra w 140k miles. Do I keep it, or trade it in? Took it in to tires plus for evaluation. For $10, they have me a one hour inspection, hitting all the mission critical points. Manager provided a verbal report and will email me a budget tonight. That tut is great service!

This is a great place, why,? Theyre extremely friendly, their place is very clean, and they give a 10% discount to veterans, and Active Military personnel. pretty sure to all First Responders. I mean, theyre that cool. If you havent been, then get there, and check them out. Youre welcome.

I was taken care of quickly and efficiently. I ran into an issue doing my own vehicle repairs and called on the Sunday before Labor Day, as most other places were closed. I was able to drop it off Labor Day, again a lot of places were closed. They were honest up front and informed me it would be a labor intensive job (rusted/frozen bolts). Shawn or Shaun, not sure of the spelling kept me up to date and dealt with my questions professionally. The end bill was very fair and the work was of the highest quality. I will definitely do business there again.

Terrible service they do not what to help you they just want to sell you a new tire. The manager did not offer to fix my problem. I would be happy to by a new tire but they did not have the tire I needed. I would not recommend anyone Togo there for service or to purchase anything. I feel all they want is to cheat you out of your money.

I made an appointment for 0800 am to have the tires rotated and balanced. Upon arrival I was asked if I could leave the vehicle because they had an employee that did not show up. They were expecting it would be several hours to complete the work because they were behind schedule. I had to make another appointment because I had other appointment that day.This was not the only time this has happened. Previously I made an appointment through there web site for 0600am upon arrival I was told they do not start working until 0700am. I was told that this was a glitch in the web site that they had no control over.

Had 2 o clock apt. I arrived at 1:45 for a simple re-check to see if the car had an oil leak after they did an oil change a week ago, (still smelling oil). My car finally got in to the shop at 3 :20. They bumped me when a lady came in at her 2 Oclock apt after me. But because I had not complained she got my apt. Sitting and waiting an hour and a half watching your car sit while others come in and go sucks.

The guys at Tires Plus are thorough and trustworthy. They always keep their word and do a great job on servicing my car. Their prices are honest and usually cheaper that the dealership. Gee and Javier, as well as the rest of the mechanics do a great job in answering all my questions and in patiently explaining any automotive issues in laymans terms. This is where I usually get my oil changes, and my tire maintenance (rotation, balance, alignment, etc). I would recommend this business.

This place use to be great but it is under new management so the jury is still out. First impression was not good. The work they did was fine but the mechanics got the interior dirty and my wife took it back to have it cleaned. That is something the manager or a QC person should have done before we got the car back

These guys go above and beyond for their customers. Tow truck took forever! And yet Eric reassured me that they will work beyond closing time to make sure Im squared away. He says I was already having a bad day as it is with a shredded tire, the most he can do is change my tire. Big thanks to Eric, Mark, and Ben!

If you need tires this is the place to go great experience. On a lighter note tire kingdom told me 4 hours wait time and Walmart told me next Thursday

Normally I would rate them higher, but Jeff P the manager is downright rude. I had an appointment for an oil change and tire rotation and after two hours, all they did was the oil change. All Jeff could tell me is that they were busy and that there were only three guys working. He also mentioned that the oil change was all I signed for. I wasn’t scheduled for tire rotation. I really questioned two hours for just an oil change and he said “that’s all you signed for and we are busy”. Didn’t seem to care that I was becoming more irritated at his flippant attitude. As I walked out I took his business card and told him I was calling corporate and he said “ okay, have a nice day!” I now have a case number and an area manager calling me back.

I really appreciated the honesty of the staff. Very friendly very professional very helpful. I went in about my truck which at the time was very hesitant to start up. I went in for questions regarding this matter and I was assisted with help right away. I highly recommend Tires Plus to family and friends.

Im not sure how I feel about this place, as they were quite friendly, but at the same time I dont know if there was an intentional reason to charge me more than quoted or if it was truly an accident.I setup an appointment to have tires mounted and balanced. The lady with whom I spoke quoted me $70 plus disposal and taxes, to come out around $85.The day of my appointment I was checked in and then brought the bill for $138. Naturally I was shocked as the quote was for $85. I am quite automotive savvy (I perform all of my own repairs and have since I could drive) and I noticed some items were duplicated, not exactly, but I could read between the lines and most would likely not catch it. I brought this up, he said I had another quote already in the system for $158 and I was getting a deal.I pushed back again. Fortunately this gentleman was quite nice and was able to build an invoice without the subtly duplicated items for... $85 including taxes and disposal fees!Im not sure if this is standard practice, hoping to take advantage unknowing people, or if it was truly a mistake.Regardless, I do recommend you look closely and question what each item includes so youre not double billed!

I recently took my car in and had to schedule an appointment in the morning because they were booked, which was totally fine with me. The next morning, I took my car in and they were able to fix my tire and was very fast and efficient. I believe i was in and our within an hour, maybe even less. Everyone at the store was extremely nice and Kenny, the tech, did an awesome job on my car. My car is driving smoothly and I couldnt thank the team enough! Thank you to the guys at Tire Plus! You guys are great!!

Gee and Charlie (I think) were awesome in helping me get set up with four new tires and alignment. I came out spending FAR less than I had expected going in and was very happy with how hard they worked to help me out. They worked closely with Jeff @ the Sarasota store and got my tires sent over to their shop (within walking distance of my work). Great place.

Didnt fix the problem I am having with my truck. I sat there for over 4 hours. Will not be going back.

Incompetent!!!! Took our dually to get 2 new tires. Tires had never been removed since new ..32,000 mile.. hubcap was fine on initial inspection with salesman... then we are told the brackets broke when we arrived..BS! The mechanics have no idea how to remove the hubcaps on new dodge trucks and broke them off....Eventually manger agrees to replace hubcap....we end up sitting for hours waiting on hubcap from dodge house. (7 miles away) ..this is not a business I recommend!! They will damage your vehicle, they nearly had to buy a second cap when 3 incompetent mechanics could not put the new on! We wont be back! The service guy is incredibly rude as well.

Customer service was exceptional! Work was completed in a timely manner. I love the attitude and atmosphere of the shop and its employees. I say all of this because none of my experiences at other mechanic shops were even close to being this pleasant. Salesman Samuel Pito was outstanding, very informative and nothing short of a great personality. Great choice as a manager by the way. He deserves a pay raise. Keep up the great work fellas!

Been coming here for years as my brother was a mechanic here. Came in for an appointment I made weeks ago for a basic oil change. It wasn’t too busy at all but took 2 hours (not even an exaggeration) for an oil change. Won’t be coming back.

My husband had a rush hour blow out on State Rd 70 on 10/22. He needed a new tire. He called the shop and realized that they were going to close before he could get there. Shawn the asst. manager waited for my husband and put the new tire on the rim for him. Great customer service and we will be back soon . That day, I first went to a competitor tire service store (on LWR Blvd) but it had awful customer service, was understaffed and had a long wait time - so I left. Then I drove straight to Tires Plus where the service was great and no-nonsense. I recommend Tire Plus.

Got to sit for two hours watching while the mechanics chatted each other up and wandered around doing whatever they could to avoid work. If I wasnt desperate I would take my business elsewhere.

I have brought my SUV here many times before because they are one of the few places that services larger low profile tires. Always quick, great service! This last visit they were very busy and took more than double the quoted time...they completely took care of my visit and other than running behind have outstanding customer service!! I will absolutely be back!

*****WARNING*****Stay away from these crooks.I brought my car in via a tow service. They knew that I would be stuck and would need repairs. So they decided to charge me $275 for a new battery. I let the guy at the front desk know that I’ve never paid that much for my battery ever, and he said “Well that’s our price.”Then they proceeded to push my car out of there bay and into the parking lot. I had to call the tow truck to come back and pick me up and take me to Tires Plus, which is just down the street. They charged me $140 for the same battery, so I saved over $100.I would avoid these guys like the plague. They will try to squeeze every penny out of your pocket, and have no problem with being this honest to you. Even though I paid an extra 65 for the towing, I still saved $75. I just hate people that rip their people off when they are in a tight spot.

Great service, if I was to say anything it is that the front desk guys can be aggressively pushy to upsell you. He was pushing my wife hard to spend $800 for 4 tires and I had to say forcefully back we are not buying expensive tires. Thats fine though, its a tire store, men that work there are men and talk like men. You want strong men (or women) to work on your car anyway. So ladies, be firm, ask questions like Well, just how often DOES a car normally get an alignment?. Dont buy lifetime alignment because you will probably only get it done once in YOUR lifetime!

We came in with a flat tire on my mothers car. The tires were almost 2 years old and had been purchased from this Tires Plus location. They examined the flat tire and informed me that sadly, it could not be repaired. They still had the same tires in stock and were able to to change the oil and put an identical tire on her car for less than $100. Charlie was very professional and provided fantastic customer service! I highly recommend you patronize this store and ask for Charlie!:-)Well definitely be back when we need more tires or mechanical work.

Ive taken my vehicles here for years now and never had a peoblem.. today was the day. They forgot to reset my maintenance reminder (which Ill admit is no biggie) but the killer was somebody clearly rifled through the interior of my car.. I had 2 jackets in the back seat that were misplaced as well as some loose change missing from my cupholder ( hope the 37c was worth it.) Dont think Ill be returning.

Just stopped in to get a quick plug in my tire. Literally takes 10 minutes. It was 6 and they dont close till 7. Said they wouldnt do it because they were trying to go home. Way to do business.

I had been going here for years, I brought my girlfriends car over to them and it was the worst service ever!!! They said they would call and they did not call they didn’t even look at the issues that the car was brought in for and tried to get her to do work that was not needed. They have become a big business scam! I will never take another vehicle there again!!!

Purchased expensive ride flat tires with road hazard $25/tire. You know when you present the paperwork that shows you purchased the tires and road hazard insurance from them (with 40% useable tread) they spend a lot of time typing on the computer your gonna get screwed. Then I ask Well how much is the tire if I didnt have road hazard? Again, head down typing for a hand full of minutes to look up and offer a price about $50 higher. They priced a replacement tire using the road hazard insurance which knocked $50 off. Included in the replacement price was another $25 road hazard fee. So in other words, is it worth paying $50 road hazard fee to get $50 knocked off price? Nope. Purchased tires with road hazard for my other vehicle from competition on Lakewood Ranch Blvd. Their road hazard is not prorated. Useable wear left on tire? Replaced...not we will give you $50 off your next purchase! I am going back on Monday to give them an opportunity to correct (maybe it was a weekend sales associate that needs training). I am not happy with this situation. Competition will correct this poor customer service.

Store manager Sam went above and beyond to rectify an issue I was having with tire warranty and needed tire replacement. I still dont agree with the corporate policy, or the fact that since I use my vehicle for work they wont offer mileage guarantee, but at least there are some people who are willing to go that extra step to make things right.

Awful, rude staff my appointment was at 2:00 I arrived at 1:40. I was told 1:30 minutes at the most ... 1:50 minutes later I was told 30 more minutes at least....Poor time management skills . I will not return again even if they gave away tires....

Don’t even bother to go to this location. My tire was going flat. I was there when the doors opened and the employee that opened the door without my even telling him what I needed which turned out to be a simple repair of a nail in my tire, he said no way can I do this right now, I have appointments scheduled, I have cars from yesterday. If you leave it it might get done today. I told him I understand and I was not there to argue with him about how much business he had and I would go somewhere else. The problem here was he was rude and had an attitude for no reason at all. If I could give this place a minus 10 I would!

Got a bolt stuck in my brand new week-old tire. I needed it patched while a replacement was ordered. I called to see if a patch could be fit in before closing, knowing there was probably no chance but hey, you never know, so I asked. He said No, were closing soon which was fine because I figured there was no way. I said okay...could and was about to ask him to order the tire for us when I was interupted by a childish, insincere, flip, and wholly unnecessary Im sORRy!. Much like a teenager would say with much annoyance. I added theres no need for sorry, I had no expectations. Would you please (CLICK) order the tire... I was in the middle of asking him to order the tire we had talked about when he chose to hamg up. I had no tone or annoyance in my voice. The tweenager simply hung up with no goodbye. Run. Go elsewhere if you expect professional (adult-like) customer service. I recommend TiresPlus on University Ave, Sarasota. They have always treated us with kindness and respect. Theyre a pleasure to deal with. I almost changed because this joint was closer to my home. So glad I didnt go here. Never will I go elsewhere. TiresPlus University Ave from how on.

Javier V is very rude no customer service skills. I needed the simplest service. If I was not in a time crunch I would have walked. This is my second time there and he is RUDE. GEE on the other hand was busy on phones but still spoke to me like a person.

I ordered tires on a Wednesday. They called on Thursday and appointment was set for Sunday. On Saturday they called and confirmed that I would be there, because they had the tires at another location and needed to pick them up if I kept the appointment. I stated I would be there at the appointment. When I got there the following day, I was told they didnt have my tires. They tried to sell me an alternate tire that was inferior. I declined and will shop elsewhere !

Ok I came in for 4 tires ... And I have a big v8 van so it needs the heavy duty kind. I was prepared to buy 4 cheaper tires but the guys let me know 2 of my tires werr actually fine and I would do better buying 2 of the heavy duty tires as opposed to 4 midgrade ones. Saved me some money! I liked that they were honest too. Looks like their parent company is Firestone, cuz they had all the same tire brands, too. Wait wasnt long either. I would definitely go back and recommend then to others :)

This is the second time that I have had to take my car back after servicing it there. They said they rotated my tires (I have the lifetime plan) but it was not noted on my sheet. After leaving there, the car started pulling to one side. I called and they said come back and they will check it. I told them that I could only go back at 12. They said sure just bring it back. Since it was an issue after they worked on the car, you would think they would be nicer or even more apologetic, but I was told if we test drive every car, we would have no time for business. Then I was told that I would have to wait another hour. Are you kidding? If you rotated my tires should you not take care of the issue that was not there before. He Dias it may be an issue with the tires. Well I bought them there and they are the one who are supposed to be rotating them each time I do the oil change bit I have a feeling that they are not. Not to mention that I did have to wait over an hour. Last time I was there I asked for an allignment and rotation and they ignored my request. When I called back, they told me that I never requested it. They also told me that my radiator was leaking and needed to be replaced. My local mechanic looked at it and said nothing was wrong. I will never go there for anything that costs money. From now on if I go there it will be only go to get the tires rotated and alligned and will watch them do it from outside.

If you take pride in your car, avoid this place. We took my boyfriends car in to get a slow leak fixed. When they returned the car to us, the rims were all scratched up. Would not recommend.

Terrible! Took 3 hours to change two tires, balance them, and change oil!! And this was only half of what I needed and asked to be done, but I gave up after the three hours and left. Watched car sitting on lift with no one around for a long, long time.... Then, everyone was gone from the shop for a long time.....while I waited, and waited, and waited some more........
