I was expecting one woman. I got a woman and a huge black man wearing excessive fragrance. Cleaning was adequate. But they also cleaned out a gold glass ring I had for 50 years. Turned out the black guy was a convicted burglar in Manatee County.As with other complaints here, Jo blames the customer. She threatened to have her attorney sue me if I continued complaining. She never did. Any insurance she claims to have protects her business not the customer. DO NOT HIRE.

We have used Clean and Shiny Homes at multiple properties that we manage. Jo is responsive, attentive and great to work with. I have never had a bad interaction with any of her cleaning people as well.

Shop around. This company will provide anything but, Clean and Shiny! We recently hired this company to clean our Siesta Key condominium, which we rent out. Out of the FOUR cleanings, we have already had TWO complaints filed in writing, and shared with us by the condominium office. The complaints were from DIFFERENT renters, saying that the condo was not cleaned well; the tiled floors had not been washed; AND upon their arrival, they noticed that the freshly laundered towels were put away wet. These complaints were from two of our repeat clients!! The owner, Jo Ashley, is more concerned with stroking her employees for a job not done well, then listening and handling the complaints. If you contact her about a situation, shell throw it back in your court by saying that you are (and I quote) trying to get a discount or a free clean. No, Jo, this is not the case. All we are looking for is what we hired you to do--CLEAN!

DO NOT HIRE. NOTHING WAS CLEANED IN OUR HOME NOT A SINGLE AREA COULD MY HUSBAND AND I DETERMINED WAS CLEANED. JO TOOK OUR MONEY AND PROVIDED NO SERVICE! THE FLOORS HAD PAW PRINTS AND HUGE DUST BUNNIES, THE CABINETS HAD FINGER PRINTS, THE STOVE WAS DIRTY, THE BASEBOARD COATED IN DUST, THE FURNITURE COVERED IN DUST SO THICK YOU COULD WRITE IN IT, HAIR ON THE DRAIN IN THE SHOWER. NOTHING AND I MEAN NOTHING WAS CLEANED. I FILED A POLICE REPORT FOR FRAUD, I HIGHLY DISCOURAGE ANYONE HIRING THEM. JO HAS OFFERED TO HAVE THEM COME BACK AND CLEAN WHAT SHE CLAIMS WAS MISSED, BUT I DECLINED AS I DO NOT TRUST THEM IN MY HOME AGAIN, IVE ASKED FOR A REFUND AND JO REFUSES TO GIVE FULL REFUND. SHE CLAIMS THAT IS A COMPROMISE. NO COMPROMISE MY HOUSE IS FILTHY AND YOU HAVE MY MONEY, FRAUD AT ITS FINEST!!!!!!!!!!!!! ALSO MY HUSBAND AND I NOTICED THINGS MISSING FROM OUR HOME! THIEFS!
