I started my career in insurance at David Carreras Allstate Agency in Bradenton, FL. I honestly had no interest in insurance (Im not sure who does to start) but that agency had such dedication to their clients and to learning, it made me actually really love what we do and see just how important it is. If you like people, this is the kind of career youll thrive in - this is NOT for people who just want to do the bare minimum for paycheck. Your clients need you and YOU represent the agency. Dave and Lothaire are the people who shaped my career style and Ive since become a very successful agent in San Diego, where I live now, and because of their extensive training, patience and emphasis on communication, I was given the tools I needed to be recommended for a transfer to an agency here in California when I moved out of state with my husband. I would go so far as to say working with Dave and Lothaire actually changed me as a person for the better. Ive never been so embraced and had such close work relationships that were genuine, but also focused on bettering *me*, not just for the job but in general. I have a B.A. in Communications and Public Advocacy, and their agency focuses on great communication which is the cornerstone of success in life in my opinion. To be sure, Dave and Lothaire can be TOUGH, and they will not accept laziness or failure to communicate. They will judge you based on your actions, and honestly, thats how I would act as a boss too. This business represents their faces, literally. This is a very rewarding career if youre looking for a long working relationship, and theyll invest the time and resources in you to teach you. The foundation I was taught by them is so powerful that Ive brought their techniques to two different agencies in California, both of who have adopted many of the things I learned from Dave and Lothaire, particularly their attention to detail and the importance they place on ensuring every client feels important. The things that they do are things I often see complaints about other agents NOT doing, like calling someone back when you say you will - this is something that will never happen at their agency. I honestly cant say anything bad about them. They gifted me the education, patience and caring attitude to allow me to grow into this career and Im still in it 4 years later and plan to stay in it. I would suggest this career for anyone who is looking for something serious and involved, even if you may not think insurance is for you. All you need is to care about people and be willing to learn and willing to break old habits to make room for new ones that only serve to improve your skills. Also, you should have thick skin and be prepared for constructive criticism, but I think that goes for any job you plan to grow in. When my husband and I move back to Florida to have our first baby, Daves office will be writing our Homeowners, Auto, Life insurance and anything else we end up getting. I trust them with my loved ones and the things that matter to me 10000%.

I have never had an easier time with an insurance company as I have with Allstate. I highly recommend this office in Bradenton. They have been nothing but helpful and patient...and they have a cat named MAYHEM!

I dealt with Mr. Carreras at this location while purchasing a home insurance policy. He went above and beyond from the time I first contacted him until I purchased a policy, and has continued to be a huge help even after wards. He took the time to answer all of my questions thoroughly, and went out of his way to speak with my bank in order to insure everything was in order. To deal with someone who actually cares is a truly refreshing experience. I cant say enough about him. Highly recommended.
