I have had trash service with republic for years. Recently, we contacted Jen to set up a 6yd dumpster. She has been fantastic! Highly recommend contacting her. Republic Services has been a great business to work with. From the drivers hauling trash or saw dust in my case they have all been professional and easy to work with. The administrative side of Republic has been flawless. We typically generate 1 to 2 loads in the 30 yard roll off containers each week. Sometimes we need extra hauls and Jennifer is always able to get our saw dust hauled to the Landfill for their compost manufacturing. During the Covid pandemic and resulting shortage of workers, Republic has been able to keep our lumber milling operation running. Republic services has been great for the first three months of our new building. Jennifer Noyes is our rep at republic and she is attentive and customer satisfaction driven making sure we are getting our trash and recycling taken out and ensures we get extra pick ups quickly when they are needed as we have tenants move in creating extra trash on move in days.

I have just followed up with the Bozeman PD, as well as city council regarding their violation of the bozeman noise ordinance, Sec. 16.06.50For some reason, this company thinks it can run 80-90+ decibel pickups behind residential property at 4 am almost every morning, waking countless families up.If you call these criminals, expect to be sworn at and cursed out, and hung up on since they dont like following the laws like the rest of us.The first fine isnt much, however it can include $500 and an additional 6 months in jail for the party ignoring the law. Enjoy your ticket next time you do this before 5, as the law explicitly bans trash pickup before 7 AM which is the time that every other company picks up trash, without violating the law.
Responsive and helpful! Im not even a customer but had to get rid of a bin abandoned by previous Tennent. Republic got it taken care of immediately no problem. Shout out to whoever the driver was for going the extra mile of retrieving it from where I forgot to roll out from, thanks!

45+ minutes of holding. Was told I couldnt get credit for an late fee that was their fault due to their auto-pay not working. Eventually was able to get the late fee removed after talking to multiple people. Ridiculous.

I dont know how they do it, theyre always on time and very professional even during the harsh winter months. I just recently called in to have some old furniture and yard work removed from my property. I thought Id have to wait several weeks, nope they were able to pick up that Thursday. They answered all my questions and gave some great suggestions on where to donate some stuff during Covid. Thank you!!
Honestly - just go with the city for your trash and recycling. Rude and demeaning customer service and unwilling to be helpful in any regard not to mention unreasonably priced.

Terrible service, terrible company, terrible hours.These garbagemen have woken my family up for months straight at 4 and 5 AM. They do not care about any Bozeman ordinance, and are extremely unprofessional.
High price does not mean goodservice - by not good, I mean they eventually give you a can, pick up is sporadically, never answer the p. hone, but expectt instant payment.

I recently switched over to Republic Services for curbside recycling and garbage pickup, and my experience has been great! I waited 3-4 minutes on the phone to talk to a customer service representative, and she was extremely helpful. They delivered my new bins the morning after I ordered them and the service has been excellent. I value Republics commitment to sustainability and their community giving- they go well above and beyond any other providers in the Bozeman area when it comes to supporting local non-profits and the local Chambers.
Called to get a dumpster to clean out our garage and Cecelia helped me out, she was so sweet and kind and helpful! and quick to respond. Wasnt expecting that from trash people! Will be returning!
Republic Services Charitable Giving program provided an in-kind donation to our small non-profit, providing (and servicing) a dumpster to support our stewardship and clean up efforts in Hyalite Canyon (Bozeman, MT). They have been great to work with!
Our driver is fantastic. My son has Autism and loves waving at the trucks and they always make the effort to be friendly. Our last house we had nothing but missed service and its a relief theyre reliable here.
I have received professional and courteous service every time Ive called for assistance! I utilize Republic Services for weekly household services and have had consistent weekly pick up of my trash.

I tried to call them to ask a question about their services and the lady who answered the phone was very rude and shouted at me for something that should have been a yes or no question.
Great staff, unloaded in 20 minutes with easy access.
I just want a bill before they shut off service. This has happened multiple times that they send a late payment two or three days after not picking up trash. I have to call every three months as this is repetitive. I am not on paperless and the mail has never screwed up anything else.

Fairly new to the area; easy to set up service - fair prices - even with our road being snowed in (out in Three Forks) they still trudged through and picked up the trash. Very nice customer service and responsive when using email. I stand behind my 5 stars, thank you
I signed up with Republic Services at the beginning of February, I had just moved into my apartment so my trash volume was minimum of hardly anything. Didn’t set my can out until Monday the 2nd of March for the first time since I moved in. They didn’t pick up my can on the day they told me they would, have yet to rerun my call and it’s now Thursday leading into Friday and now I get a bill in the mail wanting payment for services which have not been used and also for the next billing period... I’m beyond frustrated! Way to show a new customer you appreciate them!!!! Don’t provide the services you claim you will carry through with but expect payment!?!? Sorry that’s not how I work and I am canceling my services! DO NOT USE THEM, GO WITH L&L!!!!!

Too much to share. Just dont. Or anticipate numerous drawbacks. On another note, if you move, maybe try it somewhere else. Republic services uses a much more environmentally friendly method of maintaining their dump than other garbage collection services.
If I could give 0 stars I would. Cancelled services with them as they gave us a rate increase with no notification, there was a 52$ charge on the account no one could explain where from or what it was, and then sent me a final bill (threatening collections) for the 4 days of service because they didnt pick their canister up the day they said they would. Best part of it all is they called and offered to drop the price by 250$ if we would keep services with them. . . . too little to late.

If I had to sum up my overall experience with RS in one word, itd have to be awful. I originally had high hopes, that all the complaints about them were somehow misled or too harsh. Wow was I wrong. Rude, defensive, horrid customer service, as if the people working there KNOW how bad RS is and are getting tired of hearing about it. They seem very disorganized and dont communicate with themselves or their customers. When I had a fee I owed without knowing, I never received a single phone call, email, or letter until well after it was due. That was not a pleasant surprise. Be very very careful and thorough when it comes to them picking up the garbage can. Apparently thats a very difficult and confusing process for them. I have so many bad stories. Not worth it. Avoid at all costs.
Would give zero stars if possible. I was forced to close my account due to the fact that I did not receive services that I had paid for, for over a month, and the inability of the company to resolve the issues. I was told my account was zeroed out and closed, several months later I received notice from a collection agency. Republic Services never made any attempt to contact me and instead turned me over to a collection agency for the $30 outstanding balance on my account, after assuring me my account was zeroed out and closed. They were then unable to explain the outstanding balance or any of the processes they use to resolve such issues. Horrid customer service and complete lack of problem solving abilities.
We have used Republic Services for years. They have always been quick to answer our questions and worked with us to get an extra pick up on the schedule when needed. When we changed locations a rep came out to our shop and met with us to go over our needs to make sure to have the container size to best fit our business. The driver we work with, James, is always friendly and kind!
Wish I could give them 0 stars. Although the people that answer phones are very nice, the service is horrible. I cancelled service and was told they would not charge me to pick up the can and it would be picked up the next day. 3 weeks (and 2 phone calls) later the can was removed and then I was CHARGED for removal! Then 2 months later I still have not received my credit and basically had to argue with them to get it! I recommend L&L, they are local and the service is great.
Expensive, fuel recovery fees applied during the height of the 2008 depression/recession.$30.00 fee to come get their can. I asked them what I owed to close the account was told $12.00,sent a check it cleared my acct 4 days later 4 1/2 months later I get a collection letter from a lawyer for $18.21. when contacted they claim a final invoice was sent. I have dependable mail service l did not get the invoice. Like Im gonna screw my credit over $18.12? Get real! Shiesters. Money grubbers. Customer service none! Give your business to l&l services. Republic go back to AZ and get out of mt!!
Great forward looking strategies having to do with recycling electronics. This will be more important every year as we all have more personal devices we are outlasting and need a safe, environmental, and affordable to get rid of our iPhones, tablets, computers, printers, etc. Anything with a hard drive! The Emerson works with Republic Services on a regular basis, as well as extra services for our Lunch on the Lawn summer concert series. In addition to supplying the extra recycling and trash containers necessary during these outdoor concerts, they also hosted a fun and engaging activity to teach kids about recycling. Caitlin, and everyone else that I have had contact with at Republic Services, has been fantastic to work with!
They have done a great job supporting the Manhattan Potato Festival over the years. The festival brings in a lot of people and a lot of garbage. The support with the dumpsters is a great help and really apricated.
Republic Services has provided outstanding service for me, for years. I have a small dumpster and they keep their rates reasonable and are very responsive. In five years, I’ve had one glitch with the service: when they were undergoing changes in management and billing services, which is not unusual for a business to have to do, my bill got invoiced incorrectly, and call-backs were not timely, when I needed an extra pickup service. But, they fully made up for this by correcting the bill promptly and accommodated us in the extra dumping services we needed over a short period of time. The drivers, (especially Jamie, who we see the most!!) are super courteous and careful drivers and super friendly. I highly recommend Republic Services!
After being a loyal customer for years and having great experiences I have to say the last two years have been awful. Customer service is non existing. The automated system doesnt work and all you hear from live people is corporate is very strict. Im sorry I cant help you.
Republic Services has been the garbage service for the Belgrade Chamber of Commerce for many years. They have always given us excellent service as well as donating dumpsters and cans for our events at no charge. They have also been a major sponsor for many of our events. I highly recommend them.We also have them at our personal home. We have never had any trouble.
Communication is horrible between them and customers they had changed my rate without telling me and when I called in to ask about it they said they couldnt do anything and I just had to pay the extra charges. Go with L and L they are way better and cheaper.

In what universe is it acceptable to take ones $ in advance, and without telling anyone take away the dumpster which was paid for leaving no options for garbage..then be told it will take 6-8 weeks to get $ back. Shameful..
Customer service has always been polite - But their billing statements and website are not user friendly. Ive paid the bill that they sent me, unaware that there was an undue balance, so they took my trash can with no notification of the undue balance. Finally found balance buried on the online statement that I had to hunt and peck for. Would be great if they changed to a simpler user friendly billing system that reflects everything instead of having to sort through each invoice to find what you actually owe.
Theyve missed picking up our garbage two times in a row. Then the birds come make a mess and I have to pick it up and dump it myself. Maybe they should pay me? TAKE PRIDE IN YOUR WORK PEOPLE!
I would like to give them zero stars but that is not an option. I have had nothing but issues with this company since I have moved here. The web site is horrible and have never had friendly assistance when I called the office. I stopped my automatic payments because they kept adding to my bill. If your trash can lid is even slightly above full they charge you extra yardage. Even the paper bills dont match the bills that are online so occasionally you have a negative rollover into the next bill. They have a monopoly in my area since there is no other company that comes out my way. Just take a look at the majority of the reviews and youll see that one star takes the lead by far. Im truly unhappy with this company and wish I had another choice so I could get rid of Republic Services for good. If you have an option DO NOT use this company!!
Do not use... I was a republic services customer. I set up auto pay 2 times. Nether time did their system charge my account. It wont take if your account has a balance. Both times I was told this. The first time I was charge a late fee. The second they took my can and charged me a late fee. I played up and canceled my account. I called back later shopping around, not a single sorry. The phone rep simply said good bye when I said I was taking my business else where. (I am always polite to phone reps, having been one) They do not care about customers, not a single word to keep my business. Later I receive a bill for $6. I do not have a Republic Service account. The auto pay picks up and starts to charge my account.... They have retained my account information after I have canceled my account, and used it. Again do not use republic services.

This company is one of the worst companies I have ever worked with. It’s far overpriced for the unreliable service they provide. Add to that, they treat you as though they are doing you a favor, not as though you are a customer. This week, when our dumpster was broken into and filled to the point that we couldn’t even use it, they had NO interest in helping us or figuring out a solution to discourage poaching of their dumpsters in the future, a problem they admitted is growing. What’s the point in paying all of this money for a dumpster we can’t even use? We cancelled our service. I recommend finding another solution for your trash needs rather than wasting your time and money on these guys.

Customer service is always friendly and helpful and their contact information is easy to find. I have had a few issues, but overall they have been easily resolved. My only complaint would be the time spent on hold to speak with a representative.
Two billing cycles in a row we are charged twice in 2 days. 18 Aug 2020 $67.43 and 19 Aug $67.43 on my debit card. Will cancel my service tomorrow first thing. Folks you should check your bank statements when dealing with this Bozeman business.

Worst customer service ever. After much back & forth, I finally closed my account. It has been over four months now & they have yet to issue my refund. If you do end up talking to the Missoula branch, they are MUCH more helpful, nice, and apologetic.
We use Republic Services for the dumpster at our HOA. We also added recycling service too. I find them reasonable, dependable, and helpful.
If I could give these people no stars I would. The worst office capabilities of anybody I’ve ever had the unfortunate experience of working with. They Have always gotten my bill wrong from the start. I’m sure I’ve been overcharged and now I’ve been sent to a collection agency for money I don’t even owe. If you have anyone else you can go to I would suggest you do that rather than go to these people or your trash collection. The worst I’ve ever had the displeasure to do business with.
I went outside about 2 minutes before they showed up and all the garbage was in my can and went out a few minutes after they showed up and all the styrofoam packing that was in my garbage was neatly stacked in my yard. I left them an email because the office was closed due to pickup being on Saturday instead of the normal Friday because of a holiday. I never received a response so I called them the following Monday afternoon and after 15 minutes on hold finally got through to someone. After about another 10 minutes, mostly on hold, the woman I was talking to told me shed get in touch with the right person and call me back with a resolution. I called back Tuesday afternoon after not receiving a call and was basically told I have to wait until my next pickup.
Absolutely horrific company. Will bill you for services you dont get. Will make promises and not follow through on them. No communication between departments.Record all your conversations with these people. They cannot be trusted.
WORST SERVICE EVER. Several times they have ignored our garbage so the garbage gets backed up, when I try to call this in the average wait time is nearly 30 minutes on the phone. Also slowest and buggiest bill payment system I have seen, I have never ran into this many snags when trying to give people my money. Somehow they are worse than Charter in Bozeman and thats impressive.
Well folks, I have a picture and am highly considering calling the police as this has been the SECOND time they literally leave our trash all over the road(causing cars to have to drive around our trash, they left in the middle of the road) I have pictures to verify theyre complete mess. Next week I’ll be waiting to take a video if they’re mess. They will cause an accident one of these days. Glad our neighbors have witnessed this. They do this every single week yet charge us for an overflow but can’t even get ALL of our garbage each week... yup, people pay $60 for this mess. Go elsewhere.
Spent a month of correspondence trying to get them to correctly apply checks to invoices on several properties. On days they miss pick up of garbage, I am told its because my container wasnt out there in time. I put it out the night before. The said they would pick it up that afternoon. they didnt. I called and left messages. No return call. I called and asked for credit on the bill. Nothing doin. Well pick up extra next week. Cancelling service. Done with them.
I have an account with auto pay. My CC ID was stolen and I just needed to give Republic the new card number. Well, to start they hide their phone number (email and website) to push you to their website and not bother them. When I finally did dig around and get the number I was told I could only update my info by opening an online account and..........you know the drill.I come from a customer service background and am now looking for another provider.
Great office/billing staff. Have always had questions answered and problems resolved quickly and professionally. In eight years of service, have had two missed pick ups and one billing small billing issue.Web site not very user friendly, but local folks are great.
Expensive. Website needs work. It makes you sign in just to get schedule----like that is a big privacy issue. Website is not that helpful so I always have to call. Staff is pleasant, however, and helpful when you call.

We have had several issues with Republic Services over the last few years (currently July 2018). The online scheduling system does not work. The customer service representatives are not helpful and have bad phone etiquette. We were often scheduled for services like swapping out a perfectly good garbage can with a broken one and then being charged for replacing a damaged one when the broken one was picked up the next week and having to argue with them about being charged for both of these services we did not request. We scheduled additional pickups online and they were never scheduled. Afterwards we scheduled additional pickups over the phone and, so far, one of them didnt happen (currently waiting for 2 days to see if the other one will). The customer service representative made no effort to reconcile the situation and was not willing to hear my side of the story. The only plus side is that they pick up the garbage (most of the time) on a weekly schedule.EDIT: To finish the story, our fourth requested pickup did happen. One out of four... thats pretty sad. Weve since moved and we cancelled our service with this company. We learned that one of our requested pickups (from above) was missed because we scheduled the pickup and requested our service to be cancelled the following week. This wouldnt normally be a problem, but they cancelled our service immediately, so any additional services were also considered cancelled. At least we didnt get charged for the missed pickups.
They have been really consistent in our Garbage Collection over many years...and even when they came super early one morning when we didn’t get the can out in time, they came back and got it emptied!!We live past Gallatin Gateway.

They overcharged and had to credit us back over $600 because they switched our billing cycle to monthly when we are on a quarterly schedule. When we got our next bill after the credit it was for $450. I called a spoke with them and they said it was the way they did credits left a balance on our bill. When i told them we would like to cancel because of these billing issues they told me i would have to pay a pick up fee. It was really hard to get anyone to call me back when trying to deal with them. L & L has service in our area and we are switching to them!! I would not recommend Republic Services!

Republic is very reliable! I called and Jean answered right way. She is very helpful and freindly. She is local and so are all of the employees. they spend their income in Bozeman. Their pricing is fine. I did call L&L to check pricing, but the pricing is the same. Even if L&L were less money, its not worth changing for a couple of bucks a month. Our driver is freindly, he waves to us every week.
These people are awful I have been a customer for several years. The customer Service stinks, and is plain out rude and rotten. The garbage guy hits half the garbages knocking them over and not picking up the trash on the ground. I get random charges for things and when I try to call and talk about them I am an inconvienence I am switching to L&L
Obviously this hasnt been everyones experience but their customer service has been very helpful. Ive had a few questions about pick up dates and they responded promptly. I made a payment error and it was resolved within 2 hours. Also setting up my garbage service was a snap.
Everywhere else I have lived this happens: if the truck driver sees you running down the driveway with your garbage can they speed up and keep going. I watched the Republic crew actually notice my neighbor in their rear view mirror, they backed up 40’ and took his garbage. Stand up crew right there. Good job guys!
