Nobody wants to be in a situation of needing a GAL or the stress of family issues. When the court order Jennifer as the GAL I was not sure what to expect. I’m a teacher and have a caring personality in nature so I was a little shocked to meet Jennifer for the first time. She was very to the point and professional in her strategies and questions. I had to realize that the only thing she knew about me was the accusations (from someone who had no clue of who I even was) and it was her job to represent the children. When I left that first meeting I knew that even though it may have been a stressful experience for me she was going to continue her task of protecting children and we have that in common.As the year moved forward and she investigated every lead, we were blessed to find her conclusion accurate and very professionally done. I was sad to see people make up lies partially out of ignorance and partially out of malicious intent. This did not stop Jennifer from conducting her investigation. Jennifer is and has always performed in a professional manner even when threatened by people that did not agree with her findings. It takes a true professional to set aside personal attacks and respond by protecting children.My final thought is this, Jennifer was a godsend in our lives and her ability to stick to the facts, ignore the false accusations and gossip, and do what’s right for the children based on facts not opinions! Jennifer change the lives of two little girls that desperately needed her help. We will always be very grateful!

I wish there was a 0 star option. In the 7 years I’ve worked with Jenny, I wish I’d never agreed to work with her in the first place. In the end, she ended up being a snake in the grass. She took the side of an abusive parent and was prepared to commit perjury, on his behalf, without even seeing or learning of the abuse that occurred from the perspective of the child or the other parent. She agreed to take on the role of a “family counselor”, yet took that parent on and played the “personal counselor” role to him as well. She failed to keep and provide notes or return phone calls. She’s two faced, biased, unprofessional, and incompetent.

Ethically sound and bound by facts. Mrs. Bjelland took an honest assessment of what the court appointed her to do. She was able to see past the fake veneer and stay professional even when verbally attacked by my ex in multiple threatening emails. Her level of professionalism is unmatched and her knowledge of inter family dynamics is highly respected. I reccomend Mrs. Bjelland whole heartedly.

My daughters father and I have been working with Jenny on an on-going basis for almost seven years. Both and I lean on Jennys wisdom, knowledge, intuition, and professional training when problems or disputes arise that we cannot figure out on our own. Jenny has helped us navigate the complex dynamic of co-parenting, especially when life changes take place. She has always remained a neutral party and has the ability to cut through the bickering and get to the heart of the matter. I have an immense amount of gratitude for Jenny and can never thank her enough for all the guidance and support shes given my co-parent and I; resulting in an overall happy though unorthodox family modern family!

Ms. Bjelland is one of the most unethical, dishonest, money-hungry people I have ever dealt with. She committed perjury on the stand twice in my proceedings, falsified her bills, didnt follow-up timely, didnt work if she didnt get her full retainer paid in full. She has no business being any childs GAL. She is easily intimidated by forceful attorneys and changes her recommendations 12th hour. Other attorneys I have consulted with told me she was afraid of my ex-husbands attorney, and boy, she was played by him like a fiddle. My son didnt like her, my ex-husband didnt like her, and I clearly dont like her. However, she is friends with judge, so we got stuck with her. She should lose her certification.

The worst Counselor I have ever encountered...deceitful, lied in court about known child abuse, and seemed to care only about getting paid...if you want honesty and integrity, or a credible witness in court for serious civil custody and abuse cases, I would not choose this woman. Her testimony seemed to align with the party with the most money, instead of with the truth. At best, she appears to be a court pawn, having left her Counselor code of ethics at the door. Not impressed.
