I spent a bunch of money there and will patronize no more. The airplane I bought was missing parts that I had to figure out substitutes to fly. To be fair this was not the fault of RadioShack but it ties into the review.About a month later I ordered Traxxas parts they had in stock and they were also to send the mssing plane parts. Fast forward 6 days and I called to ask where my parts went (mailed on time it would have taken 2-3 days as I live 90 miles away)A manager promised to check and call me back. 3 days later no call, so I called and asked for him. He was said to be there but when they asked my name he happened to be out-to-lunch... At any rate I asked where are the parts? They tell me: they were shipped on saturday, which happened to be the day I called to check.Translation: they never shipped them and rather than own it they blamed it on a sick employee. Had they simply followed up and owned it I wouldnt have left this review. Messing up is an opportunity to shine. It allows us to show people we are sorry and value their business. This was not their approach however, and this is why online stores are killing brick and mortars: customer service. Happy to pay more to support a Montana business if the service is there.

Called for in store drone prices . Lady wouldn’t walk 10 feet to tell me the specs on the 6 diff models they had. She literally thought a drone didn’t have a camera, nor would leave her desk to explain what the different models were . She claimed her phone wouldn’t reach . As a small buisness owner, I’d legit fire this lady in 2 seconds for ever acting that way on the phone, guess good help is hard to find

Stopped by on our way ouy of town and it was totally worth it! The guys there are great and have plenty of knowledge. Super nice and friendly! We will stop by everytime we go through Bozeman just to enjoy the shop! Thanks guys!!

These guys have been able to repair 3 or 4 pretty off the wall pieces of laboratory and engineering equipment for me over the past couple years. These guys are reasonably priced, quick, honest and dependable, enough to compel me to write a review. Glad these guys are in town!

I’ve always been happy with Radio Shack, it’s more a hobby shop these days then what it was when I was a kid, but still they have some of the electronics i want.Today, despite the signs that request wearing of a mask when entering the store. We observed a woman enter the store and declare she doesn’t wear masks. She was the epitome of the new Bozemanites that have recently landed, brash, self centered and entitled. She refused to wear the mask she was politely handed and asked to wear. The employee politely refused to serve her, she stormed out of the store and made an impressive exit from the parking lot in her car.Thank you to Radio Shack Bozeman for making a difficult but required decision to follow County guidelines.

They have lots of items, good selection. However, BE AWARE they have a 10% RESTOCK fee and 10 day return policy (PERIOD!) I would not recommend shopping there as you cannot try and figure out what works for parts. Go elsewhere... Online or other places.

I had an emergency involving my power cord breaking in my laptop. They helped me in one day! Selene, I believe was the nice lady who helped me at the register. I do not remember the tech who fixed my computer’s name. But he was nice and told me how he fixed the problem so quickly. Thank you guys!! School can go on.

Wow super impressed with radio shack. I will come back for all of my needs. I normally shop online but after my experience with radio shack of Bozeman I am reminded how nice it is to have customer service and support. Tim, Tylor, and Skylar specifically were wonderful! I needed to get a traxxas car fixed for my sons birthday and I was trying to do it on my own. Instead of charging me to fix they showed me a way to do it on my own. I went back when I was having trouble and they helped me out of goodwill and got it up and running when they could have easily charged me and it was a good move because now I am a customer for life. Super great people. I would highly recommend them

I went in there to buy a CD/DVD/BluRay Lens cleaner. As soon as I walked in the door I was told I had to use hand sanitizer. Once in the store I received help from a guy and asked him if they had a lens cleaner that would work with all the different types of lenses, because some specifically state they wont work with BluRay. First he asked me if I had used hand sanitizer after entering the building and then he assured me the lens cleaner he had would work for everything and we went to the register to checkout. After checking out I started reading the back of the box on my way out, where it specifically states not to use with BluRay. I had literally taken one step outside the building and turned around to go fix the problem and when I went back the guy who had helped me told me I needed to use hand sanitizer again and then went and actually put 2 seconds of effort in and told me they dont have any lens cleaners that will work for BluRay and that I could return it if I want. Also, while I was there another customer was yelling at another employee because of the service he received. Highly unlikely that Ill ever go back.

I arrived right when they opened and Tyler was there, ready to help me immediately. I didn’t know what kind of cord I needed to get for my hard drive and Tyler helped me look up the specs to make sure I wouldn’t get a charging cable that would blow my hard drive. Really thankful for his help and would recommend this place to anyone seeking electronic advice. Thanks Tyler!

These guys have really stepped things up!Went in to get my R/C rawk-crawler fixed, they had exactly the part I needed!! My steering servo was smoked. They plugged in a new one and tested it before buying it. Dont think I could have found the part cheaper online.Staff was great! Incredibly helpful and pleasant.There is hardly room to walk with all the cool stuff they have loaded the store up with. Toys and electronic hobby stuff galore!!!!This is what Radio Shack is supposed to be!!!Thanks guys!

I had an awesome experience at this Radio Shack. Tylor, Tim and Alec were quick to help me. I left with exactly what I needed. They even have a service where they can repair electronics now so they hooked up a bunch of wires for me and I went home with my stuff ready to use! After searching online and agonizing over what product was exactly right for me I’m glad I just went into their store and got it right the first time.

Absolutely the worst customer service EVER! I will never go back there agian! If I could leave less then one star I would.

Unfortunately, we bought a fairly expensive projector at the Bozeman RadioShack. The volume wouldnt work and we called within hours and returned it within days. They refused to give us all of our money back and charged us a 10% restocking fee. Again, the device was defective. I wouldnt take the risk of buying anything there.

Buyer beware! On Saturday, we bought 3 RC trucks and a boat. We spent over $2k with batteries, chargers, etc. We got home and drove one of the Traxxas trucks for a few minutes and it stopped driving forward only in reverse. We took the truck back and they confirmed that the ESC was bad and told us our only option was to contact the manufacture for RMA support. Manufacture says they will send us a package for us to remove the component and send it back to them. If they determine its defective, they will send us a replacement part. So basically, my son must wait several weeks to drive his new truck. Traxxas also has terrible customer support. Buy online for less since you wont get any support from RadioShack!

I brought in a pc that was having issues getting a signal. They charged $75 for an hour to diagnose the issue which is a pretty normal or even a cheap rate. The next day I got a call saying it was ready to pickup and the issue had been fixed. I get the pc back and go to hook it up and I still cannot get it to work. They tell me to bring it back in and they worked on it some more in front of me. Turns out that the motherboard port that the video card inserts into was damaged and therefore both the motherboard and video card were damaged. These are both easily noticeable issues that even a non pc person would notice and their tech guy missed them. They are the two largest things in the tower. It’s the equivalent of a phone tech not noticing the screen had been cracked on a phone he was repairing. Or he caused the damage and didn’t want to take the blame. I am actually leaning on this theory because the whole process that he worked on it in front of me he kept saying he wasn’t liable if they broke something. Well that’s why you have the customer sign a sheet asking you to work on it guys. Why would the customer be liable for you making a mistake. Either the tech misspoke or their management is shady in this regard.They were very friendly during the whole process but some of the comments lead me to believe they can’t be trusted with higher end computers. A lot of pc repair shops take advantage of older or less knowledgeable customers and they seem to be guilty of this. I would definitely not bring a pc to this store if you do not want to be scammed.

Friendly customer service seem to want to help me with my products awesome people to talk to and buy drones from. If I may make a suggestion get extra blades for regularly used drones also other accessories that go with Jones theres not one place in Montana that is straight drone shot I would like to see RadioShacks improve their drone accessories very much so other than that theyre very good with customer service and I would go back to him

Horrible experience. I had an in-depth phone discussion with an employee on Friday about needing a combiner, not just a splitter, for a TV. I was absolutely clear on what I needed and he claimed he understood. He told me they had what I needed so I drove two hours Monday to pick it up. All they had was a splitter only. I had been absolutely clear with the employee I had talked to Friday that most were splitters only, that I needed one that was in/out on all three ports. I could not have been clearer. He could not have been clearer that that was what they were holding for me. When I looked at the part Monday, it was obvious it was a splitter only. The employee Monday said hes worked there for years, that theyve never carried a combiner (or combo splitter/combiner).

Sales guy was very helpful, knew his stuff and super nice. The repaint looks great and apparently they now do repairs for phones, computers etc so Ill definitely be back when I break something too!

They got one star because I had to give them a star did not honor the warranty or anyting else on my forgot everything that was supposed to come with the car and horrible staff do not recommend them at all

Never been treated as rudely by a salesperson as I was at Bozeman Radio Shack. When I complained about the 10 day return policy, he threw the item on the counter and told me theres the door. I didnt get his name but good employees must be hard to come by, because he should have been fired for that type of rude customer service

I am the proud owner of a 1967 AKAI X330 Reel to Reel. It needed help with the Electronics anything that is not electronics I can fix myself but this was over my head so I brought up to Radio Shack in Bozeman . A young man by the name of Alec offered to work on it so I figured give the young guy a chance. If old farts like me dont give young guys like him a chance to work on these vintage equipment then how is he supposed to learn and I must say he did a absolute spectacular job reconditioning my tape deck. Alec I hope other people bring you these vintage real to reals to work on because we need more people like you. Thank you very much for fixing my baby.R. Kolar

I initially had a bad experience with the repairshack. I went in for a screen fix and got the DS back with scratches all over the device a broken home button and a missing component. But since then I have gotten contacted by the owner of the store and he apologized and offered to give me a new DS. The customer service at RadioShack is really amazing! I really appreciate their quick response to the problem I had. 5 stars.

I visited this Radioshack and needed help with an electronics project but didnt know it yet. The staff saw me looking troubled and helped me immensely in figuring out what I needed and even gave me some tips for how to go about it! RadioShack can be a little overpriced compared to buying electronics from China, but you cant beat the personal touch that you receive at this particular location.I do wish that they had a larger selection of hobbyist electronics like logic level MOSFETs for example. They only have a few pre-made kits for the Arduino and Raspberry Pi. This means that you are just about forced to purchase electronics like that online if you need anything beyond the basic. I will say that their selection of switches and buttons is far superior to anywhere else in Bozeman at the time of this writing.
