They research items and give best description and photos than any other auction company I’ve dealt with.
Purchased a rifle at their January 2021 auction. It was described as having a bright and fine bore, when in fact the bore has a defect which is easy to see with the naked eye. I have asked to return it, since it was falsely advertised, and got no response! I understand that it is buyer beware at auctions, but this blatantly a false description.
I trusted a collection gathered for many years with North American Auction Company. They have researched its value, described it fairly, communicated with me honestly when i have called with any questions. I am thankful for their professional approach and honoring my treasures.
This company is very disreputable. The auction claims to have sold items and then they come up again and again, until it seems the right price is achieved. The owners are fowl mouthed and dishonest.Sincerely, Randy Martin
Absolutely the worst business I have ever dealt with. They sold my items months ago, and I cannot get them to pay the $750 I am owed. They offer nothing but excuses about COVID and childbirth. They seem to think those are acceptable reasons not to pay their clients what they are owed. I suspect there is a great deal of fraud going on in this business, they are just too shady. “Tucker” is a nightmare to deal with and immediately becomes defensive and hateful the minute he realizes you are calling because you expect your payment. JoEllen Markovich is even worse. Aside from their company photographer, I don’t believe they have a decent, reasonable person working in their entire company. **UPDATE** After several attempts at resolution, JoEllen Markovich informed me that the check had been marked “return to sender” at the post office. I truly wish Tucker Markovich would have explained this the very first time we contacted him. This mess could have been avoided. At any rate, JoEllen promptly mailed the payment to the correct address and the check has now been received. In the meantime, I received an angry voicemail from Tucker Markovich, threatening legal action if I do not remove my review. Tucker Markovich also said he hopes someone does the same thing to me (?) during my last dying breath. He’s clearly unstable and unprofessional and incapable of handling any sort of communication or problem-solving related to business. So although I eventually received payment, I would not recommend that anyone use this company.
This company failed to mail out my product, in a timely manner, then the bookkeeper was rude and unhelpful in finding out what happened. Would not buy from them again. UPDATE, NEW INFORMATION. NAA CO. failed to package my purchase properly, resulting in damage. Not willing to negotiate in any way. JoEllen Markovich CFO, is a terrible customer service rep. for her company. Photos of damage attached.
Be sure you read the description and look very carefully at the pictures. Bought an item based on the description as the pictures on my phone were somewhat small. It said the item was in excellent condition and when it arrived it was literally falling apart. Call them and they basically said the pictures are the description.Buyer beware. The light also included a gun and you would think they would mention that it also did not work, but no mention of that either!
Buyer beware! Before bidding, check similar items on ebay and keep in mind that NAAC adds a 23% buyers premium, whatever that means, then charges an insane separate shipping charge, in my case greater than 23% more after I had paid in full. It was my ignorance and I dont blame NAAC for figuring a way to make a whole lot of money for near worthless items, and I canceled my account with Live Auctioneers LLC because of this learning experience. I paid $100.00 for a $15.00 item, DOH!
This auction house is fraudulent! They will change online auction dates to suit their needs- I was the winning bidder on an item and they didn’t get the amount of money they wanted on their items so they changed the auction date to two weeks later- TWICE- each time with a new excuse! Each time within 2/3 minutes of the auction! When I called them to ask about it they were extremely rude and accused me of calling them and yelling (even though it was my first call) and the guy hung up on me! Must have been several other people calling to complain and he got us mixed up. There are a ton of poor reviews about this company. Just do a little research. Poor customer service/ inflated shipping costs and shady practices. Stay away.
Always great auctions and excellent service. I live in Florida my items are always shipped rapidly and they arrive in great shape.
Well USPS 3 day priority service is actually 12 . days, havent seen my item yet, except for attitude it would have been five star
This company charges $65 to ship a BB gun sized firearm (going rate is 20-25 dollars) and shipped me a broken firearm. The listing mentioned no such thing. Highway robbery+poor customer service = terrible auction house.
Nothing short of fraudulent. They will charge you literally 10x the actual cost of shipping, totally negating any good deal you might win. That is if they dont pass on your bid first. Waste of time.
Buyer Beware!!! First of all, Jo is hands down the rudest person I have ever dealt with, period. Second, they screwed up the lot numbers and sent the item that I won to someone else. I bid on (and won) the item through iCollector.com, but they also use the other online auction platform HiBId.com, and something got mixed up between the two sites so a whole string of items were awarded to the wrong bidders. As a result the item that I bid on and won was awarded to the person that actually bid on and won the lot number just before my lot. And then to add insult to injury, Jo was upset with me when I informed her that I was not responsible for payment on the item that I did not bid on yet they said I won. This company is so unprofessional. Never again.
My purchase was exactly as stated shipping was quick and secure.
I had placed a prebid about an hour before the item closed and it showed I was leading. When the item came up my winning bid disappeared only to have an onsite bidder win at the amount I bid. I read some other comments and it seems like onsite bidders do get a preference as it has happened before.I asked them about it and they said someone on another site had placed the same bid earlier than mine. That is a lie because the auction showed it went to an onsite bidder. They do have the highest buyer premium I have seen but they do show that up front.Wont bid with again.
Please be careful what you send them. I mailed off some pictures and a diamond bracelet and a ruby ring. I was grateful for them auctioning my pictures but have yet to auction off my jewelry. After numerous of attempts to contact them over the past seven months to find out the status of my jewelry I have yet to receive a callback nor an e-mail reply.
This was the worst conversation I have ever had with a business. I called the company and talked to Tucker about an item on an upcoming auction. I was inquiring about how much shipping would be and he had the nerve to tell me if I was going to nickel and dime things, then I shouldnt even bid. I went on to explain that the item was heavy so if it was going to cost $100 to ship, the I need to know so I would know when to stop bidding. He again told me if I was going to nickle and dime things, then they did not want my business. Sorry, Tucker, but $100 is neither a nickle or a dime, so do your math. Also, Tucker, maybe you need a lesson on customer service.
Great people in the office and the on-line auctions are great.
I emailed Tucker a photo of a real punch mark for Robert Cruickshank (lot 80 (8/1/2020 auction) because that item is wrong. They have not taken the item down. Beware of any supposedly authentic Canadian trade silver items from this place. Here is the real mark.
BEWARE**This company makes more on shipping than they do on buyers premiums and their buyers premiums are already close to the highest of all auctioneers. They charge $120 per hour to pack your item for shipping.
Crooks. Their shipping company is at best 3rd rate. They dont take care of their customers. They wont even answer complaints to the BBB.BUYER BEWARE!!!!
Tucker was extremely rude and needs a lesson or two in customer service. You can not ask a simple question without him being rude. He is not helpful at all!!!
Great company to buy from fast friendly service
Buyer beware sometimes you get a good deal on the auction but when they try to ship it to you they Jack the price up about five times beware of big items even small items they screw you on the shipping I will no longer Ed from this site I cant afford the shipping
Purchased a very small item for $90.00. The shipping was $65.00! After calling to complain they reduced it to $45.00 and were rude as hell! The item would have fit into a Priority Mail box for $15.05. They rip you off with shipping and are rude, belittling and inconsiderate!
This place sells more fake Indian artifacts than any auction house Ive seen. They will sell nearly anything with a good story no matter how outlandish. I would not recommend.
Very interesting as well as historical items featured and great folks to deal with!
Good deals.
Easy to see the fairly well described items, and no issues with online bidding.
Poor customer service, poor communication, very rude and angry Tucker. After 8 months of not selling my items and not returning phone calls I took the 6 hour trip back to meet Tucker, who does not return phone calls. He was angry that I did not make an appointment to meet with him before I came.He would not let me stand in the building while he took his time to give back my items that he did not list. He rudely had me to stand outside in the cold, hail and high wind.I would not go there alone. There must be better places to auction off your stuff.
Be prepared for being totally ripped off on the shipping!!!!An item that typically ships for $40 from all other dealers nation wide cost me $102 for shipping. That made the cost of the item much more then it was worth.
It was a fun auction to participate in, a good area for native American depicted orginal, art, and collectibles. Every one was quite helpful especially to old geasers who miss hand crank phones and party lines.
Bought an excellent Lakota Sioux Tomahawk from the 19th century from them a few months back. The item shipped quickly and I received within a few days. It is exactly as was listed. Definitively the best piece in my collection. Buying again.
If I could give this place zero stars I would! The communication is awful! Only reply to you on their Facebook page! Bought an item in July and have not yet received! Just want my money back at this point which will seem just as impossible to get. I do not recommend doing business with them! Poor customer service I don’t know how this place is in business the way they treat their customers! Never again!!
Terrible experience. They take a big slice of the pie on sales, then screw you on shipping. I called and asked why my shipping for my purchase was $83 for an item that cost $200, and was told I tack on $37 dollars, I gotta buy bubble wrap and boxes... Never again.
I have both bought and sold a number of times with this auction and have been well pleased. Excellent service and fine people to deal with.
Nice consignments no junk .No public internet access which is an issue if you use ATT for cell service. Plan on spending the bulk of a day as the auction takes a while to sell 400 + lots. The auction provides free hotdogs and refreshments. They have a pleasant and helpful floor staff and the office person is quite helpful and has a great memory! And last but not least the Auctioneers are very competent.
Great selection and excellent service.
Sold items for several years with North and I keep going back!!!
Overall Good Auction. Nice Items for offer.
Shady outfit. Alot of fake Indian artifacts along with other stuff. Buyer beware.
Great Firearms, quick shipment!
One of a few local auction houses.
They charge excessive shipping charges. Item (small silver ring) dropped in a USPS priority envelope, click and ship was $17.20. This was the third item overcharged on for what it was. Dont have items mailed, pick up if possible.
Super good deals!!
Great Company and folks to work with
Dont miss this in Bozeman
Very rude when on the phone and argued about price of shipping which was rediculous for the firearm I will not do business again with this auction house.
Meets my needs
Ok
