Had an amazing experience with the team at this Uhaul! George the GM and the hitch installation lead D did an unbelievable job at customer service and installing a hitch on my car. I ran into an issue with their online booking of my hitch and George made sure to go above and beyond to help me get my hitch installed before my trip. Truly a top level customer service experience and I would 100% recommend their location to anyone using Uhaul.Customer service and how you deal with issues like this is something you don’t find everywhere. Can not thank you guys enough!
Uhaul changed my appointment twice. Once without any communication and the other time with an email an hour before my appointment. Then, when dropping off my car, they entered the wrong phone number into the computer. I spent the whole day waiting for communication from the store. I called numerous times and their number directs you to the national number so I was unable to talk to someone at the site that could give me information about my car. Very frustrating experience!!! The quality of the trailer hitch and installation is TBD but I would give zero stars for communication.
Mercedes runs a tight ship! She was really wonderful to deal with. She reviewed all of my paperwork carefully and caught an error on my paperwork about my drop off location and fixed it right away - she never would have caught that had she not taken the time to ask me where I was moving and double check that with what I put online when I reserved the truck. My truck was ready for me to pick up and it was clean and good to go. Ken showed me how to open the back and even helped me get my bike in the back since I had to bike over there to pick up the truck. Moving sucks in general, so it was really nice to have a pleasant experience the day before my move.

Made a reservation over a month in advance but on my moving day no manager showed up to open the shop. I had a code for the lockbox to do everything online but the code didn’t work either. Horrible way to run a business but I don’t know why they didn’t show or make arrangements for someone else to help me and the other half dozen people waiting at 7am on a Saturday.
Counter help was extremely rude and Unaccommodating, I preordered and prescheduled my hitch install appointment. She called me the night before (Sunday 4:50pm) for a morning appointment (Monday 9am) to tell me they couldn’t take care of me. They do not answer the phones within 20 minutes. I asked to speak with a manger and was practically laughed as he was evidently out of town. I asked he return my call after he returns which was not received. I have still yet to get my appointment or hitch! I could go on and on...
Had a truck pickup time for 6:00am. Use U-Haul’s truck app and when it was time to get the keys, the lock wouldn’t open. Had to wait until 7am for them to open and was given a key. When asked if it was ever in the box, the guy at the counter shrugged and said “I guess the shift from last night forgot”. This location is awful
Useless...all I can say. Could not pickup the night before to leave early. Had to wait till 9am the next morning but that was clear from the beginning. Got there, got the contract done and the trailer had two flat tires. They refused to swap tires from another trailer over to get me going.Wasted 30min on the phone trying to get that resolved, ended up getting so late that I had to rearrange my entire day for the next day to do my trip 24h later.All I got was a shoulder shrugging.Customer service....non existent. In my business we bend over backwards to make things right by the customer no matter how much. This is not about the $35 rental fee, this is about how your faulty equipment totally inconveniences your clients. THAT concept does not sink in. To U-haul it is $35 to the client it is a day cleared of appointments, arrangements made for kids or pets, friends asked to help etc. Time wasted because they just dont care.

This place is terrible, I brought two boxes and I realized that they are too big for what I need them for and I decided to bring them back and exchanged for two smaller one, theres a guy name George said hes the manager and he cant exchange them without the receipt, I told him I can show you the transaction on my credit card then he asked me to leave, I called corporate and they told me yes he should be able to exchange them or give me store credit and even retrieve the receipt but George chose not to and asked me to leave the store...So you guys need to know when you go to that U-haul it is on federal Hwy on Boynton Beach what youre going to get...
The location is awesome. The works are helpful and polite. They communicated with the customers to acknowledge that they see them in line and state that they would be with them shortly. They didnt walk away to pretend to be busy. They were fast and made sure that I got the best experience. I have always recommended this location and I will certainly continue to everyone. Great Job!!
All staff members (3) I interacted with were polite, friendly, and efficient at every stage of the process. I was able to walk-in to confirm my rental (which I reserved online) and walk out with the keys to the truck in under 5 minutes. However, they need to update their phone number on Google. I called the number provided, which a very nice girl proceeded to answer and give me the U-Hauls actual phone number (she clearly gets that a lot). I definitely recommend this location. Ive called other U-Haul locations in the area who were FAR LESS professional and friendly. I called one in west Boynton and he answered hello--I had to verify with him if it was even a U-Haul servicer.

Dont rent from there worst location the guy outside was supposed to help me to hook up the trailer he didnt even guide me or look at me he was texting all the time then the lighting of the trailer didnt work they blame it on my truck hitch lighting which I didnt have problem and they didnt let me take the trailer I went to just a different location and I ran the trailer with no problem even the manager has all messed up they dont even want to work

I rented this truck for about a 20 mile trip. I returned the truck but did not get a receipt. They stuck another hundred and fifty miles on the truck and charged my credit card and additional $43. This is very scandalous. So be careful if you rent here.
Great experience with this U-haul location. This was my first time renting a truck. The staff was friendly and helpful during a stressful move time. The truck I rented was in good condition. The after hours drop off was easy. I highly suggest this place. If I ever need to use any U-haul equipment (hopefully never again 😂) I will definitely return to this location.Thanks again!!

Reserved a 17ft truck one way over a week ago. Uhaul of Boynton Beach called me THE DAY BEFORE my reservation to tell me I couldnt have the 17ft truck but could give me a smaller one and an extra day. They said its a company policy not to rent 17ft trucks one way THEN WHY IS IT AVAILABLE TO DO SO ON YOUR WEBSITE??!1. I dont even need 5 days.2. If I wanted to reserve the 15ft why wouldnt I have done it3. No I dont want a larger truck either - I dont need it, again I would have reserved a 20ft if I needed that4. I went into the store four days ago and asked about my reservation and picked up boxes - no mentioned of a truck changeLastly, why wouldnt they call and let me know the minute they got that reservation instead of THE DAY BEFORE?I dont know if any of you have moved before - but its beyond stressful, even more so moving out of state, alone.UHAUL made it SO much worse by this inconvenience. My company supports budget rentals - and now I know why.Ill NEVER rent or buy anything from uhaul again - and you shouldnt either unless you want a stroke from their terrible service.UPDATE: customer service DID call and offer me $200 less but also told me that is in fact NOT a company policy like the guy at Boynton Beach stated that 17ft trucks couldnt be rented one day. So I cancelled the reservation and went with Budget who has unlimited miles PLUS is way cheaper - like $300 cheaper even after the $200 off uhaul gave me!!
I reserved a trailer a week in advance only to get to the location the day of and be told it’s not available. They didn’t even bother giving us a call to let us know that it wasn’t available. To make matters worse they had the trailer and told me they needed it for another reservation the following day, regardless of my reservation.

I come here often. They are always very slow and often times the guys outside are rude. This time the internet was down, so guy did it manually. He told me I could return it on the app, but he never connected the contract to my name on the app. I am now sitting here on hold while U-Haul is trying to get everything to work.... someone just told me I had to wait, transferred me, and I’m just sitting here.... waiting.
*** TIP *** Their packing supplies are surprisingly cheap in comparison to even the discount stores. GREAT prices on boxes.Our experience with U-haul started off horribly with rude, dishonest or misinformed reservation representatives. Be aware the reservation reps work from home & get paid for the reservations they secure. If you make your reservation yourself on-line & happen to receive a call to change it to another location, different date, time, truck size etc. they are in essence stealing reservations to get paid for work they didnt do. Which is what happened to us and because of mileage charges almost ended up costing us $40 more! Fortunately Taylor, the Mgr in Boynton (Federal Hwy) realized whatd transpired and helped us immensely! He was so kind! Not only that but after trying to resolve this on the phone for close to an hour, once Taylor started the process we were out of there in minutes. I can not express how kind he was and how grateful we are. But to be honest every single person working there was kind and happy to help. Ill voluntarily use this location every time I need U-haul!
Returned a truck with a trailer after a 2500-mile moving trip. They are on the West side of the road, so if you drive Northbound, do not attempt a U-turn with a trailer... Its very hard.I bought propane gas for my BBQ from there before the hurricane and they were selling it when places like Home Depot or Lowes were already out. So keep it in mind. Its also cheaper and your tank is fuller when they fill it up.
Customer service here is pathetic. Every time I come here its the same thing. Everyones in a bad mood and is moving at not miles an hour. Half a dozen employees here and everyone is doing everything but helping the people who are in the store. Nobody says hello when you come in. The girl was sitting in the trunk when I got here this time said nothing to me and let me walk into an empty store. I didnt even realize she was an employee until I started looking around the property. Pure incompantance. I literally just asked George if he helped me yesterday when I came in. He looked at me like I had 2 heads and said something under his breath.
The owner gave me a deal on packaging material because I bought quantity and I had a discussion with him about how I would come all the time to buy paper. The second time I came to buy the same quantity of paper, 3 days later he took the discount away. Not a good way of doing business for a repeat customer.
Unfortunately no stars is not an option. This was the worst U-Haul expirence I have ever had. I had a 9am reservation, I needed to be somewhere with the truck by 9:45am. NO ONE SHOWED UP TO OPEN!!! Finally, around 9:45, the facility opened. At this point I was one of ten people waiting for their rental. I was almost 1hr late to where I needed to be. I was told that day, by customer service, I would receive a $50 credit. I was never credited. I called the location and the manager was completely unapologetic and offered a credit for a future rental. I declined due to NEVER wanting to use their business again. I called customer service again (this was now the 5th call) and a wonderful woman named Jackie assisted me. She put in the request and advised a regional manager would contact me. It is now 12 days since my rental and no one has contacted me. The lack of customer service skills from both the manager and the regional manager is appalling!!
Its all too cliche to post 5 stars without explaining why something was worthy of highest praises, so allow me to briefly explain why: Rented biggest, baddest 26 vehicle possible, pleasantly suprised it was a new F650 with less than 32k miles on it and in very good condition. There were several of them in fact. Needed for 7 days, mostly to slowly load up contents of 3/2 and move slowly load by load into single family home. Arrived at 8am on a Saturday. Gentleman at front actually recalculated a better deal over the counter than what I had arranged and fully prepared to pay for online. This act alone saved me hundreds. Furthermore, it took less than 10 minutes both visits to both pick up, drop off, had absolutely zero issues with the lovely and very clean monster of a truck which was suprisingly easy and nimble to drive. I ended up needing another day, which I called and was promptly put in touch with an actual human being who made it happen in under 2 minutes. Nice. I did technically go a little over my 80 miles limit, but they charged fairly for it and included no additional fine print fees. Total cost was under 250 all said and done. For a total of 90 miles over 8 days. What a deal.If youre worried at all about the vehicle operation and costs of moving, allow me to assure you that this was the most painless part of my entire move. All of the staff I communicated to were extremely competent, knew their jobs well and were super friendly to boot, both at 8am and 5pm. Moving can be stressful but this experience was the farthest things from it. Keep up the good work guys and gals, your hard work has not gone unnoticed!!!
I have been using uhaul for years and this is the worst experience I have ever had in my life. I broke down they said they would tow the 26 ft truck. I left the truck went to my destination 50 miles away to be called 4 hours later to tell me the truck was fixed and I needed to drop it off. I had a function with my family I had to leave because they would report it stolen and I had to drive the hour to drop off. The staff at the Boynton facility didn’t care one bit about my situation. I’m trying to get a refund and speak to the manager been on hold for two days over 30 minutes at a time.
LOUSY CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Made 2 appointments, they didnt start the first one after over 2 hours (and didnt let us know there was a delay), so I made the first appointment for the next week. They didnt start on it for an hour and wouldnt promise it would be done in 3 hours. Found another place where the install was $100 less and done when they said it would be.
Moving in itself is stressful and renting from this Uhaul location in Boynton was stress free! I made a reservation last minute and within 20 minutes they called me to let me know the truck was ready and even gave me a larger truck due to the fact that the one I reserved was out of inventory (and still charged me for the smaller truck) GREAT DEAL. I will definitely go back of I ever need a Uhaul rental again
The employees here are very helpful! I had found myself in an unfortunate situation because a U-Haul contractor had not followed procedure, so I came to this location to get it resolved. The manager, Stephanie, was very helpful and went out of her way to resolve the situation--which was not even her fault--and get me on my way when I was really in a time crunch.The location offers great service!
I picked up a truck here for a local move. I was allowed 130 miles. I used 78, and they charged me an extra $96.16 for over the miles. 30 was the original given, and extra miles on contract clearly states 100.. Total of 130 miles. I called corporate and they said they would put in a request to have it changed.. Even though my contract clearly states 130 miles. Terrible customer service, and shot billing. The truck seems good.. only 25k miles on it.
If I could give 0 STARS IT WOULD BE MORE APPROPRIATE. STAY AWAY FROM THIS LOCATION please !!!! THIS IS THE WORST UHAUL LOCATION ... Never again . My husband and I had to return the van @ 10:00 pm .The only available lock box #3 was broken and was unable to leave the Van keys. We call UHAUL 24 hours customer service line and spent 45 min on the phone Tryingjust to be put on hold and on hold and then on hold again and then let me connect you to the manager and after 15 min it went to voicemail, excellent customer service on u hauls part. The manager never was found and customer service person of course was completely insane asking us to take the car back to my house and bring back the next day, I explained I didnt have a place to park the vehicle overnight . I told her that i will leave the key inside the vehicle and lock the vehicle her answer was she is not authorized to agree with this solution because the store did not have a spare set of keys.... unbelievable. So I made my own decision to lock the vehicle and take the keys with me having to worry about what will happen the next day and how much will charge me extra for this situation and have to change my whole next days schedule until I resolve this completely inconvenient situation, because of course the very professional manager on call never answer the phone or return my phone call after I left 2 msgs. Between the customer service and the unprofessional and completely disorganized store I ended being outside the store for one hour and 15 minutes trying to figure out a solution for a problem that was not even my fault. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER AGAIN !!!!!
Extremely dangerous rental facility. They improperly installed a hitch (wiring did not work) that resulted in a ticket from a Sheriff for no lights on a trailer they also rented. Moreover, I later learned that my vehicle could not tow the trailer size they rented to begin with, which voided my vehicles warranty (2014 Toyota Corolla). They offered my a $160 partial refund to make up for $1,000 in fines and damage to my vehicle.
Poor costumer service starting from the front desk ending with the person “ showing” me to my truck. He pointed in general direction of the car and said : go check if everything matches, this is it and walked back inside. I rent I haul pretty freakwently and this is the first location that doesn’t have after hours key drop off and no one informed me or anyone for that matter that there is no late drop off and we will be charged extra day. I was one of the two people who spent 2 hours of my precious time trying to figure out what is wrong with that place. I tried to open the door and the alarm went off. It’s a big mess, don’t recommend this location.

The worse u haul place ever and not to be trusted my fiancé and I went on there website to reserve a truck paid and everything we even received a confirmation that we are all set then when we get there the response we got was poor customer service and they just acted like they don’t care we were told that there was not haul put aside for us and to try again tomorrow, TOMORROW ? Really we reserved our truck pay and you basically yell us sorry we took your money but no truck. Go somewhere else for service trust me

Returned the van as instructed with the key in the van, they charged my card for it being “lost” and then said they found it all of a sudden, closed my account, and now a month & a half later they charge my card randomly for $145. Never using uhaul ever again. Dont trust them to hold your information.
I had an appointment with this franchise, confirmed, and when I when I took my truck to their yard to have a hitch installed they told me they had an improper record of the appointment and that the guy that does the hitches was not there. This error on their part caused me a ton of delay, money, and aggravation. They tried to get another franchise to complete the task but I was on hold forever and gave up on them, particularly after losing trust the first time. This occurred on 9/27/18. I will not be visiting them again and suggest you do not either.
When bringing it around, worker crashed back of rental van into a trailer hitch, causing damage to the bumper. He did not disclose this when handing it over to customer, thankfully I had seen it happen and let them know. At which point they said oh well you have insurance, right? which is just very poor customer service, untrustworthy.

Scam artists with propane. Have gone there 2x now in two weeks with two 100# propane tanks... billed once for 56 gallons And another time recently for 53 gallons... problem is each tank can only hold a maximum of 24 gallons each.
