My grandmother has a unit here and she is unable to make it there to get little things she needs from time to time. Brittany is always such a great help and made the process of getting my grandmother’s things so easy and she was so delightful to talk to while we got the documents we needed to gain access. Thank you for being a good person, so patient with grandma and so thorough with protecting my grandmother’s belongings. I am so happy that people like her exist.

Excellence customer service Brittany and i was only searching for prices!!!

We rented a storage room here and at first, we were pretty happy. Then when the first rent payment came due, the guy who rented us the space did not write the card info down correctly and we got hit with a late payment. I called and called the store & the manager and kept getting no response for over 4 weeks. When I finally got a call back, the had my address wrong, my phone number wrong and they would not give me an answer about refunding my late charges. With almost everything on my account wrong, (they did get me name right) I still did not get a call back about my refund.For the last 2 months, the back 2 doors on the building did not work. It was at that time that I got my SECOND rent increase (one every 6 months or so) and I had enough. It had gone up to almost $250 a month & I had to move. They did offer to move me to a storage room closer to the front of the building, but if I am going to move my whole LARGE storage room, I might as well move somewhere I can have convient access to my room.Now that I have moved out, I see that the EXACT same storage room we were renting is costing $178 a month.The place is clean and they do keep it cool, but the steady rate increase and the limited access to our storage is what drove us away. Be sure to read the fine print on the contract folks.

Keyana is fantastic! We have had a small storage space at this location for awhile. Yesterday, we were shopping for a bigger space to prepare for showing and selling our home to move. Weve been renting at this facility for a few years. The new management at Smart Stop continues to provide a clean, well run facility. And the customer service is excellent. Thanks to Deidra and her crew for helping us with this latest move.

For every single month thats you guys increase my storage fees, I would expect the back doors to function properly and not take 2 months to fix.Ive had my unit for 2 years and without alerting me they started raising my monthly storage fee and it has gradually increased to well over $100 more than when I first rented. They even added on some B.S. monthly insurance fee which covers basically nothing for triple the rate you could get on your own!

Unfortunately, I have to change my rating down to a one star. Over the last year and a half, my storage fee for a 10x15 has gone up from $150 a month to now over $263 a month for the same unit.They have tacked on a new storage insurance fee within the last year and changed their policies on late or missed payments to only give you a 5-day leniency before they tack on a hefty late payment charge and overlock your unit - which they did not provide notice of the change.I used to think very highly of this facility - Ive been a customer for almost 6 years. The air conditioning is very inconsistent - occasionally much too warm and other times absolutely frigid.Ive complained multiple times about somebody urinating in the corner against my door which leaks underneath the door and has damaged or contaminated anything near it. Its been 15 months and it finally looks like somebody cleaned the floor outside of my door but you can still see the stain on the inside.For the reasons past two months or so, the back to entrance doors have not functioned properly so I have not been able to gain access easily to my unit.The elevator always smells like body odor and the safety bars are broken.Im paying $1.75 per square foot - More per square foot than my boca apartment! How does this make any sense when you add in all the problems and the constant price increase without notice?

Associate was tremendously helpful, kind and knowledgeable. Created a great experience for this 1st time encounter with Smart Stop.As per the policy and fees, I was a bit disappointed at the administration fee in line with a promotion of a Free month of services as well the required mo.nthly liability fees required. I could anticipate the expense of paying for my own lock and even perhaps even an Auto Payment commitment. The hidden fees effect truly taints the trust level as consumer.I am grateful for the associate Keyana as she did well to create good value for me to proceed with obtaining a unit. Im hopefully I can look forward to a straight forward monthly bill with no unexpected changes.

CONSIDER YOURSELF WARNED...their business model is to lure in with low price quotes then demand that you buy “Renter’s insurance” and then once your in they jack up monthly rate. I offered to pay the full year in advance when I signed up and they assured me I didn’t need to. Now I know why they didn’t want me to. Lastly their access doors have been broken many times and they have very few carts to assist with your move in.

Keyana, who worked in the office, was very helpful. She was excellent, provided excellent customer service..highly recommended. Great $$ for what you get.

Recently I need to store a few items in between apartment moves and chose this storage facility because it was close and appeared to be clean and safe as well. I was happy with the initial service and the storage unit I used however, Im not happy that I was fully advised on their policies and the fees they charge.Frequently traveling for work, I do not always receive calls or messages. Supposedly a call was made that advised my payment had been late. Never received a payment due notice via email and this truly is the age of receiving payment requests and notifications is via email. Today I moved out, made my payment in full and they would not waive the late fee. I advised, I never received this call nor received an email. I wouldve made the payment immediately had I received a payment due email.Im very disappointed in this and Im requesting a refund for this past due fee. It would be appreciated to receive a response from this and a refund.Thank you.

I had my belongings in this extra space facility for about a year and it is great. The staff there are all very accommodating, and are willing to do what it takes to resolve any issues. The rates are fair and moving in is easy plus they offer great deals for opening a bin. Dave was great in helping me resolve issues and they were helpful by going out of the way by allowing me to take my time when it came time to move my stuff out. Highly recommended.

Beautiful, cool, clean storage in a lovely part of town with a team who will treat you like family. Jim and Fabrizzio are fantastically personable and there for you during all the hardships of moving. Storing anything is stressful but this SmartStop with these guys will be the easiest and most affordable part of it, I promise you.

This was my first time using a storage facility, so I greatly appreciated how thorough Jim Walker was in explaining all of the details. He was very upfront about the cost and showed me a few units. The place is very clean, cool and well lit. I like that the units are in a concrete 3-story building. We visited another storage place and the units seemed flimsy...not a structure you want your stuff in when hurricanes hit. We rented a unit and moved in the same day. Jim was very helpful and you can tell he cares about keeping the site clean and safe. He made a tedious process stress-free and pleasant. Thanks, Jim!

What do you expect? It is a storage unit. Everything was fine until the day we moved out. I accidentally left a box behind and was promptly accused by the staff of intentionally leaving stuff behind. I was made to feel like a child and not the paying customer I was.

Love this place! I moved out of my old apartment about a year ago and moved in with my girlfriend... i needed a spot to store all my stuff so I got a 10x7 unit here (at the time it was ExtraSpace storage). The facility is well maintained, I have never seen a bug here and my stuff has been safe and sound since. I switched to a 5x5 unit today as I have been down sizing. Jim the store manager was above and beyond helpful. He made the transition easy. Paperwork was a breeze. He was super knowledgable and a pleasure to work with. I wont be moving myself to another facility anytime soon!!

We have been at US1 storage for the past 5 years. The staff is friendly. Always offering a bottle of water on a hot day. We keep our holiday items in storage and see our neighbors there doing the same thing. Our items come home clean and do not smell like a previous storage space we used. I recommend this facility for their staff, clean space, and safety.
