The club worked very hard during unprecedented times to keep its gym open; members informed, active and safe. The gym has been well maintained and professionally run for my 10+ years of membership. I get excited when I see them giving a tour to a prospective or new member because I know from my experience they are making the best choice in workout facilities in Bowling Green!
The staff and instructors are all amazing and truly care about their customers. Child care is top notch!
Clean, comfortable, spacious and great environment for making everyone on any skill level comfortable!
They have a sauna, smoothie bar, women’s only section and plenty of cardio equipment!
Machines are very old and out of date. Most are Cybex and serious injury can occur. Regular employees are friendly but the management is egotistical and domineering. Knowing the management there, they probably paid people to write any good review. Their equipment is WAY out of date, I tore a tendon because a seat fell out of its position and I never even received a call regarding the whole deal
About a week ago. I wrote a review on Bowling Green Athletic Club. I’ll attach it at the bottom.( In short I was a member there for 10 years and had a year deployment and came back to start back as normal. But was told by a staff member named Jordan that I would owe $150 for a mew member fee or wait til Black Friday for a cheaper fee. At a gym was a member for 10 years!)While I was there I asked several times to speak to someone of management or the owners email so I could leave an email requesting information on this. I also stated I had my military orders if they needed to prove where I went.)It was denied. The best thing I could do was to leave a formal message on Facebook.2 days before thanksgiving I received a phone call from the owner Julie. Immediately out the gate. Told me to to contact in a business fashion. (I asked several times at BAC)Right after that would only tell me that my review was false. After asking what was false stated it would be $100. (The staff member quoted $150)Besides the point I wouldn’t have paid a $20 fee to join back. Since I never left.Julie then acted like the papers I tried to show the whole time was valid that I could bring them in. After this conversation lost a long-term member. The point of this is to show how poor leadership and ownership. The owner didn’t call me to ask what happened or to help the situation but to argue and tell the customer how wrong. The review I got a phone call for:It’s crazy how things change. Not putting out here for pity, but putting out here for some places you thought you loved like I did.I have been a member at Bowling Green Athletic Club for just over 10 years. This was my stress relief for years. I needed it.In August 2019 I froze my account because of being Deployed. We were originally supposed to be back in June. But since COVID-19 we were postponed months after to be back home.Came home to get everything back to as much normal as it can be from COVID, and if you know me near the tippy top was the gym. When I returned to BAC Bowling Green Athletic Club, I was told I would have to sign up as a new member for an additional $150. Even after given the circumstances and of offering my paperwork. This message was not to bring pity of me. But to let you know how they can treat others.Road to a new gym!
The best gym in Bowling Green for many years
Love it there. Very clean and the staff are super friendly
The gym is always clean and staff is super friendly.
I’ve been a member for 8 plus years. Best gym in all of Bowling Green. The staff is always nice and helpful.
Very nice and clean gym. Love the availability of hours to go workout and the racquetball courts and saunas. Clean bathrooms and showers. All the people are nice and it’s big so nothing feels crowded. I have been going there for about a year and I have definitely enjoyed it.
Whenever Im in town this is my go to!!!Cardio theater is me fave!!!!
Do not ever join this gym. For starters the staff are very unprofessional when handling phone calls. If you ever have to move out of Bowling Green they want the drivers license of the state your moving to before you move there when you request to cancel your membership in person. When you call to cancel they give you two options either stop in (after telling them you moved 900 miles away) or send in letters containing your name and new address. When you do that they still deduct from your account. And when you call to again tell them to cancel your membership they repeat the same thing and deny you sent anything. Ive repeated their process for 5 months. After canceling my bank card and telling them they are no longer authorized to withdraw for an account not used since late December they still withdraw. Were in May and since late December I have dealt with them every month. So again if youre moving to Bowling Green or already there looking for a gym to join I highly suggest against this fraudulent establishment. Theres better gyms in town with better management and staff. I tried to be professional with this company and abide by their guidelines but they refuse to honor their own policy.
I love this place! The equipment is clean and easy to use. The staff is friendly and helpful. Love it!!!💗💗
Lots of different machines, plenty of free weights, staffed child care, dry sauna, tanning, and a sled. The cardio room is nice as well and they have a nice variety for what plays. The staff is always super friendly and helpful and the place is always clean and orderly.
J love this gym, the best in town
Place is always clean and very kind staff
Everything is great at BAC, although I do not enjoy the customer service. My sister and I play lacrosse and today we came to play wall ball in the wall ball courts. To our surprise, one of the employees named Angie refused to let us enter with our lacrosse stick and balls. Apparently they JUST had the floors cleaned and my monthly payment of almost 40$ a month is invalid for being a member of a “Member’s first club where our guests can escape and enjoy their active lifestyles.” But its alright, we’ll be back tomorrow so the floors wont be in their amazing condition like we so willingly pay for.
Amazing club. Great equipment. More people should take advantage of the classes.
Its got a lot of great classes. The hours make it easy to find time to go. They have 2 locations and you can get a passport to go to either one. They also have child care services. Theyve done a lot to make it easy to lose the excuses and make it to the gym. Its always clean there too which is a big deal to me.
Love this location so far! Ive been going for a week and would highly recommend. The staff is helpful, there are plenty of classes throughout the day and into the evening, and the facilities are consistently clean. My only recommendation (I REALLY hope someone from BAC is reading this and follows through) is that they get a freestanding ballet barre or a wall mount barre for their womens section. A barre would get more women that are interested in barre exercise, and its the final piece Im looking for to make this gym perfect. If there is anyone I could speak with more about this issue/request, please let me know. Traditional wood barres are typically only two hundred dollars, and with extra members, Im sure that this will pay for itself. I will be delighted to speak with you about the benefits of adding a barre system in your gym.Looking forward to going to more classes this year and next!!!
Sweet spot to get your swole on, nice equipment and very clean
Nice staff and has everything you need. Big enough to allow you to get your workout done even during busy times. Only thing they dont have is a hot tub.
Love the daycare and the womens side. The classes are great. Its well worth the money.
I have been going to BAC on Scottsville Road since February. This facility is amazing. Great workers that are willing to help you with anything. Awesome place to get both a free weight workout in and machine workout. Ask for the WKU student discount when you initiate! 150-$$
Noone will bother you.
Wide variety of cardio equipment. Assist equipment for heavy weight training 💪.
Great womens area. The girls I have asked for help from have been great.
The people here are great and the childcare service is wonderful! I also love their classes.
It has all thats necessary but I think its time to invest some money in there to look better.
Awesome facilities for reasonable prices!
The staff is super-friendly and very helpful. Their spinning bikes are incredible - nicest Ive ever seen!
$10 one-time pass just to try it. Had to ask where water & womens side were. Was not offered a tour, but another woman was; she & the desk clerk passed while I was on the treadmill, and I heard them. Equipment dirty and clearly older. Air is stale. When I wanted to do situps & couldnt find a floor mat, I went to the desk to ask if they had them. One was on the phone; other two were laughing & talking despite seeing me there. When I told them I had a question, the girl looks down her nose & says, Were not working right now. Then turns around. Conversation over. I have worked in customer service and this is NOT professional behavior. I left. I do not intend to go back.
Love it at BAC...
Love it, just wish they had a pool since they got everything else.
Best workout facility in Bowling Green. The staff members are extremely friendly, they have a diverse class options daily and they regularly update and clean the equipment.
A fabulous operation, with 2 very clean and well maintained locations. Staff are always friendly and helpful and the atmosphere is excellent.
It’s almost impossible to cancel the membership. You can’t do it with calling em you have to be physically in the gym to cancel your membership. So if you moved to somewhere and you want to cancel your membership you just gotta talk with your bank about it. Also high priced.
Great club, also has a basketball court and punching bag. Always clean and great child care service.
They will steal your money even if you MOVE OUT OF STATE. My boyfriend joined this gym knowing he would be moving away. They said that if he proved he moved he could stop his monthly payments. However when he moved to dallas where I live, and he sent them unopened mail to prove he lives here, they refused to stop charging him. He has lived in dallas for 5 months now and they are still drawing from his account despite multiple requests by both him and his bank.
Awesome classes and lots of equipment to help people stay healthy
Great gym. Free classes, friendly staff, cardio theater, smoothie bar, and plenty of equipment for when its busy.
