I’m generally one who takes a long time to make decisions! I walked in and told Alec all the things I wanted in a carpet and man did he know his stuff! Yet another reason why I love family owned businesses! I think I had my carpet picked out in 20 minutes!The installation guy was absolutely amazing as well! Super professional, super fast, super clean, and super friendly!The carpet is absolutely amazing and I couldn’t be more happy with it! And as far as price point goes they beat everyone around! Allmans bound edges on a large piece of carpet I bought. I then used it for a stair runner. It turned out great!!

We had a great experience with Allman’s Carpet and Flooring. We purchased waterproof vinyl plank flooring for our condo from them, finding them friendly to work with and knowledgeable about their products. We were so pleased that we referred our son and his family to them. We plan to purchase carpet for our bedrooms soon.

Ive worked with 2 different reps at Allmans for 2 different projects. The first was finishing our basement and the second was getting new carpet in a rental unit. In both cases it was around 90 yards of material and 15 or so stairs.I cannot recommend them highly enough. They listened to what I was trying to do and then gave me options on how I could get it done. I didnt feel like they were pushing a particular carpet maker on me.Ive also dealt with places like Ogdens flooring, and some other larger named places. Every time I go in there you can tell what carpet the sales reps get the most commission on because its the only thing the rep will talk about. Its not like that at Allmans.The staff is friendly, they were very communicative and overall just made it feel like I was their only client.I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone. Dont buy somewhere else until youve at least been down to Allmans.

We even had a couple spots we were unsure of and as I write this at 7pm on a Monday night Kurt is here making sure we are happy. I gave Allmans plenty of time and opportunity to prove me wrong but in a last desperate attempt to get some help from this company or even an acknowledgement Im writting a review. Allmans installed vinyl plank flooring in my bedroom and hallway June of 2020. There was a flaw in the hallway. A plank hadnt been installed properly and so I called to see if they would come out and fix it. It took me until October before one of the Allman brothers finally came and fixed it. The fix only took 10 minutes which was hard for me because I had spent hours trying to get someone to just come take a look. I called weekly and resorted to begging when they finally sent an owner out. A week after that fix I noticed a round bulge in another plank which had been installed over the top of some debris. Another plank was splitting down the middle. I dreaded calling for a repair again but the flaws were pretty major. This time it only took a month to send out an installer. When the installer looked at the situation he informed us that our flooring should have never been installed on our uneven subfloor. Another tear happened in the flooring when I rolled a chair. My floor is totally compromised and Kurt Allman promised to come look at it today. He did not. I called the store and was promised that he would give me a call later but no call came. Im feeling pretty helpless right now and so sad that Im stuck with this flooring and cant afford to replace it for years now. Im sad to write this review but hope it helps someone else avoid a similar experience.

Great service and customer experience

Was referred to Allmans Carpet by multiple people for great pricing. That was very true, great pricing. Installation was sub-par however and it took about 5 unreturned phone calls and a personal appearance in the store to get someone to fix it 3 weeks later. Service felt very unprofessional.

Their customer service was wonderful. They have a huge selection on their showroom floors and a lots in their backroom too. Were excited to work with them.

They were incredibly friendly and helpful. We purchased from their in-stock remnants and got a very high quality carpet for a good price so long as you don’t mind a couple manufacturer irregularities. The best part, they were able to fit us into their install schedule within a week where many other places couldn’t install for at least a month. When you buy a new home and the current carpet is more disgusting than a landfill, having carpet installed quickly is lifesaving!

I purchased a high quality stain resistant carpet and had it installed a few weeks ago. I did have issued with installation and had a whole list of things to have the installer fix. He did fix what he could. My issue here is he offered me only one solution to transition from tile to carpet. I had to ask someone that had supervised carpet installation if there was a way to create a fluid transition. The installer didn’t offer this option because he told me he didn’t have the materials on his truck. I also was not happy with the installation on my stairs. I contacted Allman’s and the installer manager came out and fixed the stairs and transitions to tile. He did a great job, but no one likes having an initial install go poorly in areas. It’s been a few weeks and I have had great difficulty getting stains out of the carpet. Some mud and blood and lip gloss have gotten on the carpet and just aren’t coming out all the way. The carpet is a pattern and is not durable. I had to paint my baseboards and taped the carpet. The tape on the carpet pulled out so many strands, it’s just so frustrating. This carpet was suppose to be high quality but it sure isn’t. I paid a lot of money for high quality carpet. I feel like there are so many aspects that go into reviewing a company. I gave this company 3/5 stars because the carpet quality is not what I was told and installation was not a good experience. I really needed something that would be durable and cleanable and stain resistant.

Ive purchased carpet from Allmans for two homes now and both experiences were way beyond 5 stars! The product is excellent and the staff is honest in recommendations of what they thought Id be happy with. With my recent purchase, I was on a time constraint and they went above and beyond to accommodate my schedule -- this is something you wont get from the big-box shops. I would absolutely recommend Allmans for any flooring project and Ill be back again with its time to re-carpet other areas of my house.

We have used Allmans carpet for three different projects; when we built our house, when we finished our bonus room, and when we finished our basement. All three times they were excellent to work with. They are professional and friendly and reliable. They do a great job installing, we have never needed any carpet to be stretched. We highly recommend them!

I am very happy with this store - they got us new carpet right before we moved into to a home that had surprise pet damage to the carpet. They are good to work with! My only regret is that I did not have them put more of their carpet in, because their carpet is much better than the original carpet in the home.

I have worked with Curt and his family getting carpet for my own homes and rentals and they have always been fair priced and take the time to make sure we get the right type/quality. Will be doing work with them in the future.

This is hands down the best place Ive ever bought carpet from. Their sales guys know their stuff and are great at finding you exactly what you want at the best value. Plus theyre amazing at knowing what remnants they have which can save you even more. And theres no dinking around with you on price if you want to install it yourself. Love them!

Had my whole house finished and had a lot of complications. I had holes put in my walls, the floor was not cut straight, and the edges were filled with caulking to cover the discrepancies. The product looked great once Brett and his crew came back and fixed everything. Brett has been working with me to make things right, although we have not made any conclusion. Although it took effort and persistence on my part, they strive to take care of their customers.

They did the carpet in the basement we finished and were competitive and did and excellent job. We decided we definitely wanted to use them again recently when we redecorated our Master bedroom. Like before, they were fair, honest, low pressure and easy to work with. I expect to make them our flooring company for anything we do in the future.

Been using them for all my jobs for the last 15 or more years. I have bought awesome carpet for less than anyone else and their installs have also been awesome. We looked several places and these guys seemed to have the best price and service. We installed Shaw Symphony 2 carpet all over our house. Unfortunately, the carpets static never died down and it is now very worn after only 1 year of use. We are not happy with this carpet or with their service.

Have used Allmans several times for carpet. Just recently had them make me a 12x14 rug. I love it!

I came to Utah to help my daughter find new flooring for her home. We were in the store for 45 minutes, and not one of the workers acknowledged us. One salesman walked by us and I said hello, and he didnt even look our way. We finally left after realizing that we were not going to get assistance. Very disappointing.

After my post of a few days ago, Allmans called to apologizeand explain what happened and then they got right on having someone come out to see my project. I appreciate that they took responsibilityand had someone come out. Thank you.

They were helpful in the selection process, but they messed up everything else. After telling us they had enough hardwood for my floor, they didnt so we had to go somewhere else. They also failed to order my carpet in time for my closing date despite having our selection information for over 6 months, not to mention they lost the information the first time we gave it to them. The guys down the street were much better.

I had some issues with the sub contractor they sent but one of the Allmans came to my home to inspect the job and fixed all the issues. Detail work.

We found Allmans carpet about 7 years ago when we remodeled our home. I spent hours and hours there and they treated me like family. They have always gone out of their way to provide excellent service and beautiful carpet, so they have a customer for life.

We call, to get on estimated, they said the will be here between 3-4. The guy didnt show up until 5. Didnt even said, sorry Im late. And not very friendly person. So we probably wont even hired them.

Serious issues with carpet matting and fraying within 6 months of installation. Manufacturer is refusing any responsibility and manufacturer rep is apparently refusing to talk to us or Allmans or examine the carpet. The manufacturer sent in a flooring inspector, Rob McNealy. His report mentioned a twist tie found in one vacuum (which had been there 1 week and that vacuum had never touched some of the areas with the problem) and some carpet fibers in other vacuums, and the manufacturer seems to have taken that to mean our vacuums are causing the fraying and matting in high-traffic areas, and that they are absolved of all responsibility, which is patently ridiculous.We paid thousands of dollars and scheduled our entire move into a new house based on the promise of a high quality carpet that would last decades. The quality of the carpet we received is completely unacceptable, when it was supposed to be a very high-quality nylon, resilient and durable. Its been about 6 months since we first reported the problem with no resolution, and the carpet continues to get worse and worse.Updated: There is still no help from the manufacturer (Lonesome Oak). The manufacturer rep (Gary) is apparently rude, surly, unhelpful, and unresponsive. Allmans gave a final offer of a 30% refund on them and I agreed to leave it at that. They also said they would never buy from Lonesome Oak again.So, well just let our 1 year old carpet continue to deteriorate at an unbelievable rate. My original expectation for this high quality nylon fiber carpet was 15 to 20 years. Im revising that expectation to maybe 5 years if were lucky.

Brent Allman has helped me buy carpet for my rentals a few times and I always get great deals and friendly service. Now that I found him, I will never go anywhere else even though I now live in Salt Lake. I love it when I find the best in an industry and dont have to shop around anymore!!
