I called to open a case that a previous therapist did not, almost a year later after finding out DCFS was never called. The lady I spoke to opened a case. Said someone would be in contact in 2 days to set up meeting. Heard from no one for almost a week. Next thing I know, my son is calling me from the school saying he doesn’t feel well. I go to pick him up and as soon as I get there, I see two ladies who pull me into a side room. They never introduce themselves and ask me 3 questions. They were short and rude. It wasn’t until I said “I don’t think I know who you are...?” Before they told me who they were with, DCFS. One was a trainee.We get up to leave and as my son stands up to give me a hug, the lady, let’s call her Shannon, turns to my son as she’s walking out (he’s clearly been crying) and says “sorry for making him cry,” then proceeds to laugh loudly on her way out the door. This was in front of all the office staff in the office. As we get out to my car, the only other thing she does is tell me she’ll text me with her findings.My son said she was rude when she was asking him the abuse questions (in the middle of a school day as a 6th grader) and he felt like she was annoyed the whole time she talked to him and my other son. My other son said the same thing when I picked him up at the end of the day.After this, I don’t hear from her for 3 weeks. I had to call and find out that she closed the case because she said my boys stories didn’t line up perfectly. Well, neither did their abusers but she said that didn’t matter. This is such unprofessional behavior. I was appalled by the way she treated my boys. I am calling to file a formal complaint against her. They protected an abuser over my boys. Shannon brought more trauma onto my boys. If I would have known, I would have never called in the first place. Horrid experience.

Completely made my living conditions worse with absolutely no improvement for me or my family, all trust broken.
