For those that need a barber, not a hair-stylist! No appointment needed (and no appointments available, either) so you just drop by and wait your turn, chatting with those also waiting. Rumor has it, that the old wooden chairs you wait in where purchased years ago from the old Bountiful Tabernacle, across the street, when they upgraded.Lees has existed since 1952 in its present location on Main Street. The original barber, and the shops namesake, Lee Benard, died many years ago.It still has that old-time, barbershop feel, updated some over the years, but still has the leather-bound vintage barber chairs. And after your hair is cut, eyebrows trimmed, and the ear hair is gone, the neck shave with a straight-edge razor is a reminder that sometimes the old ways are worth keeping.It was worth a wait for my turn with my grown son, remembering sitting in that same shop with my dad, many years ago.

Leah is the best! Highly recommended but dont go there on days Im going since I dont want a line waiting for her. But seriously she is hands down the best barber in Davis county. My 2 year old son also gets his cuts from her and she is patient and great with kids too.

Good haircut at a good price

So good. I went when it was not busy and I was in and out in 25 minutes with maybe the best cut Ive experienced. They even did the straight razor neck shave which you dont see often enough anymore and really takes the cut up a notch. Very friendly and an all around pleasant time. Since they dont have a site, mens cuts are $15. Cash only.

Highly recommend! Moved to the Bountiful area from Midvale where I had an awesome barber. Lees barbershop has been great. Great haircut, conversation, love the warm shave cream around ears and neck followed with straight blade. The atmosphere of the old shop is second to none. Leah is personable and always pleasant.

Environment was nice and barber is a good conversationalist. Unfortunately she trimmed the left back of my head too close and left it uneven. Didnt notice it till I was in the car heading home. Im sure it was a mistake but she didnt even mention it. The two other customers there seemed to have a good experience.

Recently moved to Bountiful area and I was looking for somewhere besides the chain haircut places (they never have been worth it to me). Found this barber shop on Google and just got an awesome haircut. Great, friendly barber too that made the whole experience very enjoyable. Id recommend it to everybody and will be going back.

When my previous barber retired, it left a major void in my life, I dont like change and especially once youve built a rapport with someone its always a challenge to start over. I auditioned a few other barbers and wasnt sold on them. My search brought me to Lees, Ive had Leah cut my hair and really liked the way it turned out, she is incredibly personable and you can have a real conversation while she works her magic. ( I get sick of the phony conversations at most shops) Leah is quick, efficient, and knows her clients by name. I like the small town feel of a shop thats been around forever.Best haircut Ive had, would HIGHLY recommend!

First time at Lees Barbershop. So happy to find LEAH who is a true BARBER.Since moving here from Spring Valley, CA last year Ive tried 3 other hair shops in the Bountiful area. They are Hair Dressers. I even flew back to Spring Valley in March to have Vincente Zizzo, my Barber for 25 years, cut my hair. Leah listened to the three fellas in front to me. They all seemed really happy. I too am very happy. Isnt it great that you might have to wait for 30 minutes to get a GREAT haircut from a real BARBER!!i see one person was not happy in the reviews. Lexis, we all want to be kind and say the right things. Im sure that Leah meant no harm. I even heard her say that she wished that had not been how your brother felt. Ill bet something good will come out of it. We all learn from each experience. Thank you LEAH, my wife was super happy with my hair cut.Mick

Seriously--get a reservation system (paper or electronic).. Ive been here three times and its always busy. Must be good. However, I dont want to waste my time waiting for 2 people to finish their haircut. And with only one barber, that could be 40-45 minutes before Im in the chair.

I have cut my own hair for 5 years, every time I just to go to get my hair cut done they wouldnt fade it properly and wouldnt cut the top properly and since my hair its straight thick you could tell right away, this is the reason why I started cutting my hair, I passed by this place several times and caught my attention, one week was being lazy and decided to go in and get my hair cut done at this place and it was amazing the quality was excellent, and they cut my hair exactly how I wanted it even better then I had and trust me Im not that bad after 5 years, they have gained a customer and its really affordable no reason for me to spend 11/2 hours of my time cutting my hair when I could come to this place get it done in less then 30 min with excellent quality I will recommend this place to all my friends if your looking for a good quality and affordable hair cut this is the place!!!!

Brought my brother with Downs syndrome in to get a haircut and beard trim. After 30 minutes of enduring old people swap hospital stories, it was finally his turn. In the past my brother has had to deal with very painful cystic acne on the back of his neck. It has since cleared up, but he has some pretty severe scarring from it. While cutting his hair, the barber lady just blurts out loudly, WHATS THIS ON THE BACK OF HIS NECK??? I calmly informed her that it was scarring from the acne. Then she replies THOSE ARE VOLCANOES!!! But I can deal with it if its just scarring. I was in shock that she would say something like that. I was polite and didnt want to cause a scene, so we left promptly after she finished. However, if that lady is reading this, I would like to speak directly to you:Even though you might not think so, my brother could hear and understand EVERYTHING you said. He was embarrassed and very upset afterwards. How dare you humiliate him that way. I find it very ironic that while we were there today you mentioned that because your husband is a police officer he has to watch what he says, but you dont. That is absolutely false. The things you say have an effect and you lost a customer because of it. You should be ashamed of the ignorant and, frankly, moronic way you handled that situation. I hope you learn something about how to interact with individuals with disabilities in the future.

Lees has been around for years, and while its under new ownership, its still the best barbershop around. My boys are picky about who cuts their hair, and this is the only place that makes them comfortable. Cash only.

I have been taking my child with downs syndrome to leah for years. She is the ONLY barber I trust to cut his hair. He has severe scarring on his neck from acne, leah takes the time to carefully shave his neck and is extremely patient with him! She treats him with kindness and respect and we wont go anyplace else. Ive seen her with autistic kids, handicapped folks, little old men who can hardly walk, and she is ALWAYS great with them!
