Include instruction manual with new equipment and don’t expect the customer to have to print it off from the web. Be a little more helpful with exploring a new stereo and the features on it. Ensuring that the stereo is connected to Sirius XM prior to the customer departure or better yet connecting new stereo to Sirius for the customer. It might be good practice to make sure that CDs are ejected out of a CD player prior to removing, since not all customers remember to do so.

Went in today to get some info on 4 new speakers for my car and possibly a sub. I told the guy my budget was around a thousand dollars and he basically laughed in our face and proceeded to tell us how his set up in one of the multiple cars he owns is upwards of 15k. Then said that i would need at least 4.5k to get a set up started. I honestly was shocked. I understand speakers are expensive and I would be willing to pay more but it’s disheartening to be belittled about the budget I mentioned.

I went inside the store on a Saturday around 3:00, and talked to one of the associates. He was very impolite and impatient. I talked to him about some speakers but also wanted to talk to a friend of mine for recommendations, where he proceeded to make a snarky remark about his knowledge. I then later asked him about wiring harnesses where he proceeded to belittle me and try to make me feel stupid for asking about a wiring harnesses. I dont recommend this store, or any of the associates within this store. Ive come here before and have had the same issue, this is just my most recent experience and this is finally the time that I will not return.

I have shopped here at the Boulder location for years. They are always willing to take the time to answer all of my questions which I really appreciate. I ask a lot of questions... Last year I had subs and an amp put in my Subaru and I had to get a part swapped out recently because it went bad. The assistant store manager Bryce made sure that everything went smoothly and they swapped the part on warranty free of charge! Very happy that I elected to pay for the extended protection.

Worst place, don’t go unless you want have a surprise a few months later! Instead of selling me the right amp for my car, they sold me an amp and installed it in a manner which they knew I would need to service and replace down the road. The gauges didn’t even correspond with the size of my wiring. Not only that but they completed an install that could of burned my car to the ground, with no warning to me! Not only that but cashier states that “we are all subcontractors” and are not responsible for each other actions. Manager stated “you shouldn’t trust our expertise, this is a choice that “you” made.” Icing on the cake. I thought these guys were experts. More like high school geek squad (Best Buy reference) wouldn’t trust with my vehicle.

Great customer service every question I had they had an answer and detailed info my appointments weren’t that far out, even after some confusion about what was to be installed they gave me a hook up on some things I would’ve had to pay for. Everything looks and sounds great I’m very happy with the outcome much respect to the manager Jesse and the whole crew there if I need anything else I know where to go

Horrible. They installed head unit and when I got car, rear speakers didn’t work. They blamed it on me, but said they could fix it. After bringing car back the front speakers are now blown! They wrecked my speakers and claimed it wasn’t their fault/responsibility. I would argue with them but it is 100% sure to me they are incompetent and I value my time too much to screw around at this store anymore. Do not go here. Horrid service and total incompetence.

I had a Groupon for a car detail, and the guys did a great job! Our car seats were very dirty, and so I paid the extra fee for the shampoo. The seats are so much better. I couldnt be more pleased with the excellent service and friendly staff!

I purchased a backup camera from them that they installed in my wifes Grand Cherokee a few years ago as a gift. At least 70% of the time it appeared scrambled like in the photo. When I returned it was working fine and they refused to take a look at it until I could prove it wasnt working. A picture wouldnt suffice. When I mentioned it in a review 3 years later, they took care of it quickly. They ended up changing the camera out completely even though it was well after the warranty expiration. They even allowed me to get it fixed in another location that was close to my work. Ive also had them install a remote start, and a subwoofer/amp twice and they did great work.

Customer Service was incredible. Louie & Kyle were very detailed and informational about my options. Giving me true advice of what would make a difference in my sound quality. They spent an entire hour with me helping me decide a cost effective plan to upgrade my sound system. Im getting a nice upgrade but I got so much information on how car audio sound works and what actually makes a difference in your audio. Very happy with quality of service these two gentleman gave me.

Id suggest finding another shop. Although chances are you wont notice, these guys are in a rush. They overwork their installers, and when they make mistakes, theyll make you feel like its your fault. They WILL NOT REFUND LABOR (even when they make obvious mistakes) Theyll just try to remedy by letting you return or exchange equipment, which will also be installed poorly.We had multiple visits to fix multiple issues that were never fully fixed. Once we went to another shop, they replaced a few speakers that were cracked upon installation because they only used 2 of the 4 mounting holes and over-tightened them. The sound was horrible due to improper installation of the tweeters/crossovers (actually, no crossovers were used).If you bypass my warning about stereo installation, then heed my warning about working on your electrical system. I had them install a second battery, inverter and several 12volt outlets. They used the wrong battery and inverter which ultimately fried my vehicles primary battery and a few appliances that were attached to the 12v outlets. What was their solution? They refunded the equipment but not the labor. In other words, it cost us a lot of money they werent willing to take responsibility for.Id again urge you to look elsewhere. Thanks for reading and good luck in your hunt for a better shop.

I dropped off my car for a speaker installation and accidentally left my phone inside my car. I turned around and came back not even 5 minutes later and my car door was open and my phone wasnt inside. I told the guy inside that my car was unlocked and my phone was taken, and he said that their techs are trained to lock the doors after the inspection so it couldnt have been them. Even though I walked up to my open car door. He also said there was nothing they could do cause they dont have cameras on the exterior. Thats a pretty convenient cool out. Other than that they did an alright job with the installation

Had a fantastic experience at Car Toys in Boulder. Those guys are great! Nick was extremely helpful in answering all my questions and giving me plenty of different options and prices on what I wanted for my Toyota Tacoma. Added a remote start and upgraded the speakers. The install was amazing! I believe that one of the techs name was Scott and he and everyone who worked on my truck did an awesome job. Everything looks like it came from the factory! Custom built a sub woofer box on the small side storage space behind my rear seat and allowed me to keep most of my storage for other things. Best experience I have had dealing with aftermarket upgrades period!! And honestly, even though it was just a stereo upgrade, I think my truck actually runs better!! You guys are the best! Thank you!!

I brought my old, gross 2006 Prius in hoping that Car Toys would be able to remove at least some of the stains. My mind was blown when I saw my car after the steam cleaning, every single stain was removed!! I ended up walking out very happy and with a entirely new radio which they ordered and put in my car the next day. Nick Justice helped me out! He took the time to listen to my concerns and what I wanted. With the financing options I felt like I could pick anything I wanted. Overall it was a very positive experience. Im done with Car Toys and Ill never go back. When a shop messes up, I dont really care as long as they are nice about it and try to make it easy for you to get the issue resolved. When they are rude and unaccommodating I take my business elsewhere. Id go elsewhere if I were you.

Got vehicle safety upgrade at CT. Our doctor recommended them as a place that could update an older vehicle with side view cameras and vehicle detection sensors. When we went in to talk to them they knew exactly what wed need. They done similar work already. Price was good. The turn around time was excellent and the installation looks like it came from the factory. They also did a great job detailing the car before they returned it to us.

Clowns.Manager included.Zero stars.I went in and just wanted to buy 4 speakers and an aftermarket stereo for my car, and because I didnt want to wait a month for installation, they were very rude and didnt want to help me find what I wanted, or sell me what I needed. When I finally got one of them to get off their phone and help me, he told me he really didnt know what he was doing. Got the stuff eventually and left.The following day I went and pulled up as the manager was getting out of the passenger side of a car, and he opened the door and had i not stopped it wouldve slammed into my car. Then I went in to ask a question about what they sold me and he was rude and belligerent, saying he couldnt help me, did I want an appointment 2 weeks out, kept saying it.If youre looking for a professional car audio experience or basic communication skills...go elsewhere. Especially if you dont plan on paying them for installation weeks from now!

Been there twice, great experience both times. Ill be back again for my next upgrade. The first time was easy, I knew what I wanted, went in, and they got me set up quickly with a professional install and no hassle to consider anything I may not have had in mind. The second time, I had a little more vague of a problem and just wanted to improve my stereo sound in general. The floor man, Christian, did an incredible job! He spent a good 30 or 45 minutes showing me all my options I had to consider, and demonstrating the differences between them. I got technical and relevant explanations for how the equipment operated, and it led me to a better understanding of how my decisions could affect the sound environment inside of my car. A little pushy on the subwoofer (haha), but he kept encouraging me to go with what I thought I would like best, and I ended up choosing to have them install some tweeters and nice front speakers. My car actually didnt have tweeters, so they walked me through where they could install them and where they would sound best, and I got to pick where they eventually went. IMHO, I think it looks pretty custom and cool, and as far as the sound goes, I couldnt be happier. Their technician, Nick, did the install, and it looks amazing. Bunch of super nice folks there who all seem to be interested only in creating quality sound.

Immediately upon arriving I was greeted by the sales manager Jesse, I explained to him what I was looking for and not only was he helpful he took the time to go over everything I needed detail for detail giving me different options and ideas to achieve what I was looking for within my budget.He then even greeted me to the tech doing the installation on my SUV( I believe his name is Kyle) making the entire experience very pleasant. Recently went in for a stereo upgrade for my wifes vehicle. Nick (store manager) and Kalan (Installer) worked with me to determine the best system for my vehicle and what was involved in the installation. Set up a time for the install and when I had to reschedule Nick was more than helpful setting up a new time. After the install, Nick took the time to show us the final product and go through with us all of the features. Felt very at ease asking any question I had and Nick was always willing to take as much time as I needed to feel comfortable. Entire experience was well done.

I recently visited Car Toys in Boulder. I was shopping for a quality sound system for my high performance ride. I had lots of questions and a budget in mind; but I know little about equipment or specs. I was helped with every detail by a young man named Louie. I learned all about sound systems, brands and performance! I was so pleased because I got just what I wanted and to my surprise, the system was affordable and the sound is amazing! I smile every time I hop in my car. I recommend this store. Their personnel are so knowledgeable and I was treated so good inspite of knowing so little!

I bought a remote start for my daughter for Christmas. When I went in before Christmas Nick was super helpful. He helped me understand the different options and which would work best for her car. He answered all my questions and even gave me some parts for her install to wrap for under the tree. He didnt try to sell me the most expensive one. No pressure, just helpful advice. Then yesterday we got it installed. We forgot to call for an appointment, but we got there fairly early and just dropped off her car. The guys were super helpful and nice again and it couldnt have been easier. The remote works perfectly and we are very pleased the the whole process.

A few days ago I brought my 2007 Mustang GT into Car Toys for quite a few upgrades. They installed a Kenwood DDX 9905S which has Apple CarPlay, a Kenwood dash camera which can interface with the Kenwood head unit, and a back up camera.My review of these components is extremely satisfied; I went into the store with what I thought I wanted, yet without being pushy Nick and Kyle offered me alternative options as well. As it turns out, they knew better than I, and I truly am appreciative of their subject matter expertise in order to maximize my experience.The next day I brought my car in for the install, which was handled by Justin. All these upgrades only took one working day to install, and I was very impressed with both this quick turn-around time, as well as the expertise with which it was completed.My headliner showed no signs of damage, my center console was disassembled and reassembled with no missing parts and is secured tightly and the finished product is very clean and aesthetically pleasing.Overall very satisfied with the work of the men from Car Toys - Boulder.

We went at a scheduled appointment time of 3pm. At 5pm, they hadnt even looked at our vehicle. They said they had a bunch of drop-offs ahead of us. They stated they would get to our vehicle in about 20 minutes. At 6pm, they hadnt even looked at the vehicle. We scheduled an appointment with another location and left. We will not be back.

Car Toys Boulder has been taking care of my car audio and accessories needs for years! I won’t go anywhere else. Their timeframes are reasonable and they’re always upfront on how long they’ll need my vehicle. They call me through out any installation process and let me know if anything is running longer than they originally thought. I’ve been in the store when some customers have lost their cool and been downright rude but the staff remains professional. I’d suggest this business to anyone looking for quality audio, radar, navigation, remote start, fun car extras, all of which I’ve purchased from them!

The Store Manager, Nick Justice, the Advanced Install Manager, Kyle Wrobetz, Ismael Jaime and the rest of the staff at this store went above and beyond to help me through a complicated install on a vehicle that was to large to even fit in their install bay. We had to work together a bit to find a day where the weather was good for the install (It was the middle of winter in Colorado). They were wonderfully communicative every step of the way and really helped me understand the ins and outs of what was happening. They even encountered an unrelated issue with some of my wiring, called me to let me know and asked if Id like them to repair the issue, which I did. It was a simple thing and was easily repaired, but that fact that they noticed, said something and repaired an issue they simply found along way is the very definition of above and beyond. I also noticed the work environment and how the staff interacted with one another. I found the staff to have a wonderful working relationship with each other too. It was clear that the staff was connected to each other and cared that they did good work for their customers. This good working environment is a testament to Nicks leadership skill. I am very pleased with my experience with this store. If you need some help with your install, call Nick. This is the worst experience with a car toys you could ever imagine! These people are crooks! TERRIBLE SERVICE and installation!! The installer left my car with a check engine light on!!! They had the audacity to Complain to me that I was rude when I suggested they did not do a good job. They went as far as to say I couldnt come back to their establishment because I was rude when in fact whoever installed my car and left mud all over my floor mats and wires everywhere, he was completely unprofessional and could not answer any questions that I posed to him!! They did not try to rectify the situation at all they suggested I go to a different car toys!! This can only make me believe they didnt know what they were doing! They did not want to take responsibility for their shotty work!!!! Theyre work ethic is nothing but unprofessional and unreliable. They will make a problem that is theirs and make it into yours and then send you on your Merry way when you complain. My advice to whoever is reading this go somewhere and go there fast!!

This is one of the most frustrating experiences Ive had as a customer. I had 2 simple projects to be done that I outlined when I called and made the appointment. I needed a Bluetooth interface installed and I needed some recommendations for what I believed to be a blown speaker. I dropped the car off this morning and received a call at 11 saying that the car was done. I was surprised because I hadnt heard about the speakers. So I asked the person on the phone about the speakers, she double-checked with the installer, and the installer said that the EQ needed to be adjusted and that the speakers were fine. I showed up at 5 p.m. to pick up my car, and the Bluetooth interface was installed without leaving the auxiliary or the USB charge where I could access them. And the speakers were buzzing at the lowest possible volume. I asked to speak with the installer, and suggested that he needed to make it right and that I had made a special trip down to pick it up when I was assured that everything was fine. We escalated to the shop manager, and the shop manager said that only Lexus speakers will work with my car. On the way home I called Lexus. Lexus assured me that aftermarket speakers work with my car with my head unit with my amplifier. The car toys employees lied or misguided at every possible point. I will never use them again. I suggest that you dont either

I just had my SUV detailed at the Boulder Car Toys and had an excellent experience from start to finish. Every staff member I interacted with was exceptionally professional, courteous and kind. They went above and beyond to ensure that I had a fantastic outcome and my car looks beautiful. I am incredibly impressed with the team there and they have certainly secured my repeat business. I would highly recommend Boulder Car Toys.

I bought 2 high end stereos at this place in 2 years and was impressed with the service until today. I went in to have one of the stereos installed in a different vehicle. I set a 10 am appointment time but after being there only 20 minutes one of the employees approached and informed me the installation would cost $200 more than estimated because one of the cables was too short. I asked him why so much? He said because it would take 2 hours to install just the cable. I was the only customer waiting. Four other people had dropped off their cars and left but for some reason, they were all put ahead of me and I was told it may not be finished til 7pm even though no one else was waiting. When I complained I was told I could leave and then was told never to come back. Dont worry, I wont.Edit: I took the radio to a local independent where I live in Denver. Had it installed in 2 hours for $100 less. And the $200 cable? The one I had reached and had plenty left over. So buyer beware.

My 2004 Prius needed an audio update, so I went to Car Toys to see what could be done. The staff was patient and thorough, persuading me that one of the cheaper units would be plenty good for me. Frustrated with my inability to figure the thing out, I asked for help. Louie took time to show mte everything I needed to know, patiently fielding my questions. What a great employee -- intelligent, kind, not patronizing. That kind of customer service is rare, and made me a fan of Car Toys!

Went there to get a new stereo and speakers and Christian was super helpful through the entire process and was very clear about pricing of everything which was very nice. Jesse installed everything perfectly and was just as professional and made sure to go over what he was going to do with my car (2003 4runner). Overall I would highly recommend going to this store for any needs you have with car electronics.

I called Car Toys this morning to report that a Viper Security System installed in my daughters Ford E150 van had disabled the vehicle from starting the engine. This system we thought had been in a deactivated state from the previous owner.I spoke with a technician named Vince. I explained to him that the van was disabled in a local store parking lot and could not be driven. And, that the system was not installed by Car Toys of Boulder. Vince stated that he would go to the van at its location and take a look.In a little over an hour later, my daughter contacted me to report all was well, van started and she was back on the road!I returned a call to Car Toys and spoke with Vince to pay for the service call. He stated NO CHARGE!Thats called GREAT customer service and it should be reported in a review! I will not hesitate to go to Car Toys in Boulder in the future.Thank you, Vince!

I rarely write reviews but the kid who helped me out yesterday was really good at his job. I needed a really specific bit of wiring to set up the stereo in my jeep while keeping backup camera, steering wheel controls, etc. The guy knew exactly what I needed, was obviously very knowledgable, and had some super helpful advice for setting it up. Theyre lucky to have employees like that.

Terrible service would not recommend ... First I was told they have time for my truck then after I drive 25miles to the store and have them look at my truck and may I say its a simple radio install they told me to bring it in the following day. Will never go there againBest buy installs for free and they did mine the same day

I recently visited this location to get my car detailed (reffered by a friend). I will begin by saying that I was blown away by the customer service and professionalism! Nick was the best! AND to top it off, my car looked AMAZING when it was done. The price was very reasonable and the detail was done marvelously. I highly recommend :) and I will be back!

My experience started off a little rocky, but after I spoke with Nick the manager he really helped to make things right. Customer service is great and they try really hard to make you as happy as possible! People here were all friendly and helpful but they no longer carry the product that is still on there shelf, Advertised for sale that I was after. Also why does the company not have insurance for being able to lift vehicles to work under nice cars? It really doesnt make sense that being a installer needing to get under vehicles would be a must to install alot of things correctly. Including what I wanted installed in my new vehicle. Which I cant get installed here because my car is to low.

Bought a Tacoma with the radio not working. The guys at the Car toys in boulder (by Whole Foods) got me in and out in 45 minutes with an awesome blasting music system! It was easy and quick and I was given a worst case scenario price so I knew that I wouldnt get a $1000 charge out of no where! thanks for the work guys!

Back when I was younger I used to install car stereos . I figured I just take my truck to car toys and have them install an amp speaker under the seat for me . They couldnt run a 20 foot cable that came with the amp and speaker that I purchased from them. That would of ran next to all the other wires I paid $110.00 to run and hook up.Then car toys wanted to charge another $35 to install the knob and wire that came with the system . The knob Mounted by two screws, How sad and to boot they kept the part. What a bad place all about making a dime . So be careful what they charge you for .I would recommend the Greeley store much cheaper and better quality.
