The shop diagnosed my cracked radiator on my Saab 9-2X and replaced it all in less than a day! Everyone I talked to was super friendly and they didnt try to up-sell me on anything. The price was fair and on par with other independent shops but a whole lot cheaper than the dealer. I have no complaints on my experience and Im definitely coming back

I had my interlock here and was so happy that I used them. Despite not loving the situation I was in, the staff made me feel comfortable, were always a pleasure to talk to, and made the entire process seamless. While I hope to never have to use Interlock again, these are the folks Id recommend anyone use.

I do not know who dropped the ball on this, but I am blaming poor management. Rented a Uhaul from this location for pick up on a Sunday. Nicks did not set up the reservation for pick up when closed nor did they call/message to say there would be a problem with the reservation. I never received any combo code to pick up the truck from nicks. After being on hold with uhaul customer service I was told there was nothing they could do to assist

Been going to Nicks for a number of years. My cars are two 17-year-olds, a 2004 Honda Civic and a 2004 Toyota Tacoma. Dennis (Nickerson) is a competent, experienced, and empathetic mechanic that understands the situations of less-than-wealthy customers who are on a budget and need to keep old cars running. He does not try to push unnecessary work on to his customers, nor replace things and do repairs mindlessly to maximize his own income. Also, I know that he runs a alcohol-monitoring blower service for people who have DMV monitoring for DUI and DWI infractions. He and his daughter Jennifer treat these clients with respect and compassion.

Nick’s is the definition of a local shop with people who care. Nick (? Haven’t caught his name but we’ll assume that’s who the older gentleman is) is one of the most helpful and generous guys I’ve ever met. I have taken my older vehicle here numerous times for a ton of different problems and they always do fast and quality work for a fair price. But it doesn’t end there.I was moving out of my apartment today and needed dollies to facilitate that move. I drove all over town and literally every single rental was taken for the day, I was hosed. I came to Nick and he rolled out two of his personal dollies and gave them to me, free of charge. He simply asked for my phone # and told me exactly where to return them. That act of kindness is something I’m not used to these days - for that reason I recommend Nick’s shop for all services and as long as I’m in Colorado my business goes to him. I don’t think he even understands the weight he took off of my shoulders that morning.

I use them for interlock services. Have had multiple issues with them but they always handled it. Riley is very capable and helpful.

Took my car here because it was running unevenly, frequently not starting. They held it for a few days, told me nothing was wrong with it and charged me $100 for the diagnostics. My car still needs to be jumpstarted every morning and stalls 3-5 times whenever I start it. Maybe a one-off but I had it was a poor experience for me

Ive been taking my car to Nicks for 2 years now and theyve always been efficient, helpful and honest. I originally came here to get a second opinion after catching another auto shop trying to sell me repairs I didnt need. Theyve always been very helpful with what actually needed to be repaired, what could wait and what wasnt actually a problem. Plus theyve always been very nice and professional. I have lived in Boulder for three years now, for two of those three years Ive had my car exclusively serviced or repaired at Nicks Auto, Dennis, Rayleigh, Noel, and the whole team at Nicks are top notch. Ive had three major repairs done there, an ECT Sensor Replacement, A Clutch Replacement and they are currently doing a fuel pump replacement on my car. Not only have they always been fair with pricing, charging me almost $200 less then the avg. for my latest repair. They let my car sit at their shop for over a month, and didnt charge me a storage fee.They all are upfront and honest, I would ignore all the 1 Star reviews and would say that those reviewers neglected to fix something that was recommended and as a result had the issues they did, Ive had three major repairs done there and Ive had to date 0 issues, with one exception of a sensor failing due to a short (that was due to a fluke bad part) all that being said I give them 5-Stars because they are the most reasonable shop in the City of Boulder.

Nicks is great. Weve done our oil changes on our Mazda CX-9 there for a while, and just had brakes and rotors replaced - same day! Theyre pros, really efficient, and nice folks. Give them a shot if you havent already!

Nick’s got my car in quickly for an oil change and brake replacement and stayed in touch about the status of the repairs. Dennis sat down with me afterwards to answer all my questions about how best to take care of the car and checked in the next day to make sure everything was running well. Excellent car repair and maintenance, great customer service, and it’s even walking distance from my house!

Do not trust your vehicle here. Not only did they keep my truck for three days and do nothing to it stating they couldn’t repair it after I explained exactly what needed done to it BEFORE dropping it off, they left my truck unlocked for the duration of the time and my truck was broken into with several items missing including my debit card and they pretended not to notice my belongings scattered among my truck. It’s not worth it, go elsewhere !

Please, do not take your car here.I got a new clutch at Nicks a year ago. MANY mistakes were made during this repair causing me to spend significant money for someone else to fix Nicks problems (since they had lost ALL my trust). Nicks was responsible for not attaching a fuel line properly after they had to order a new one due to breaking it during the clutch repair. The fuel line popped off while driving 60 mph on the highway and being stranded in the middle lane during rush hour. The speed sensor and gas gauge broke because Nicks failed to attach the electrical harness after the repair. Nicks failed to put the cotter pins back at the front ball joints during the repair I had to replace both ball joints only a week later due to these missing parts and accelerated wear and tear it caused.I communicated all this to Nicks at the time and was able to get some of my money back from the clutch repair. With that said I write this a year later because I just took my car in for a routine check-up and was told that I needed a new clutch. That my current clutch which was put in by Nicks ONE year ago was already worn down to the point of needing to be replaced. The repair shop that informed me of this said it could either be the way I drive the car or the clutch itself and it not being a high quality part. Im not saying that I am a perfect driver, but I have driven a manual for 17 years. And in those 17 years I have had to replace the clutch three times only. It took me a long time to get over the emotional stress that was caused by Nicks repair last year and I am still paying for the financial stress that Nicks caused. Today I am extremely disappointed that such an awful job continues to cause problems for me a year later. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE. I would give them zero stars if that was an option.

I’ve had my water pump, radiator, and all four brakes and rotors replaced on my 2004 Jeep at Nick’s. Everytime they have been honest, quick, and professional with the repairs. I used to live in Boulder and now live in Denver but if anything goes wrong with my car I still come here because I trust them. Highly recommend Nick’s.

I have been taking my classic Ford Maverick Grabber to Nicks Auto Repairfor 23 years, and I have always been very satisfied with their work. Theyhave always done a great job! A few years ago, I was having to replace mybattery frequently. Dennis diagnosed a slow leak in the battery, a leak thatcontinued even when the car was not in use. Dennis came up with a verycreative solution that was very inexpensive and which has continued to workfor several years. Both Nick, and now Dennis, have always tried to do aneconomical fix when working on my car. I would never take my car elsewhere,and I would highly recommend Nicks Auto Repair to others (which I have donein the past).

Nicks saved me big time on the quick on something I thought was going to cost 300$+. 15 minutes and he showed me exactly what was wrong (grinding back piece on the break) and when I offered to pay for whatever he declined, was more than happy to tip though. I drive a Honda Pilot with regular fluid changes and just over 100k miles. I had an oil change, transmission fluid change, and a timing belt change done here before going on a road trip. On my road trip my transmission overheated. I took it into a mechanic who told me that either someone had just added a little bit of new, poor quality transmission fluid without draining the old fluid or my transmission is junk. I replaced my own fluid and everything is working fine. I think trust is important when it comes to a mechanic and this group lost mine. I hope my timing belt was actually done.

My girlfriends Jeep broke down on her way back from work. AAA towed her here. Im the type who will work on a car unless I know Im not qualified to do the job. She didnt want to mess with working on it in a parking lot at night in the cold so she opted to let the shop handle it completely.I had the opportunity to talk to the gentleman who was diagnosing the car and I have to say he was thorough and professional and fixed it for a reasonable price. Its been a week and there have been no issues.We had a good experience here.

Nicks is a family business and they have a long legacy in Boulder/Boulder County. Having to have the Interlock device is already stressful, but they are professional, courteous, and will explain everything to you. They always worked with my schedule and made dealing with all of this pleasant instead of a nightmare! I will be bringing my car in to Nicks for other services now!

Very Dishonest..My daughter made the mistake of going here.. After $1200 worth of work my daughters car still would not run and the shop had the nerve of telling her she could sigh the title over and only pay $800 (the car bluebooks at $6k)I paid the bill had the car towed to another mechanic and it turned out the battery was dead new battery and the car was just fine.Beware of these people I am out $1200 and my daughter almost lost her $6,000 car to them. They claim that the work was neededDishonest is the best I can say about this shop.

The most unprofessional, rude and in need customer service basics training receptionist Ive ever delt with. I could not even finish my sentence before getting cut off, talked down to and then told to call corporate. All I needed was an email with attachments resent to me in a format Icouks open. So when I finally told her I already had the reports from corporate and I just needed them resent she sternly replied,I with I told I cant help you!So, Ill wait til Wednesday and call the Brighton facility Life Safer - Bennys shop for assistance. They are always pleasent and if your technician or mechanic is out,they have no problems helping you and they never have given me attitude.

My car stopped running so I took it to Nicks and got a $1900. diagnosis to fix it. I had it towed up the road and they fixed in 1 hour with a new battery for $150. They told me Nicks has a long history of ripping people off.
