This vet clinic is great. I have been with them since my dog was a puppy. They don’t charge you for “ nothing “ like some vet clinic. The only downside is sometimes hard to make an appointment because they usually booked for a few month ahead .

Doctor Fischer has done a superlative job of sorting out our hyper-sonic manic young Border Collie. Shes a smart lady and we are impressed with her and the rest of the very professional and caring staff.

This Clinic is exceptionally fabulous! They are professional, friendly, knowledgeable and thorough, helpful and gentle with my kitties, from babies to seniors. They are also caring and compassionate with people, as well as Critters. Dr. Wickert has been excellent all around with high standards and quality vet care with my kitties. She is so dedicated, even at 8 p.m.! I have only trust, confidence and respect for her and all employees at the clinic. The receptionists and vet assistants are also willing and ready to care and help, as well as Dr. Kovar who we have also seen in time of need. I highly recommend this Clinic for all Critters and people!

We just had to put our sweet dog of almost 13 years down this morning. It’s extremely to difficult to make the decision of when it is truly the right time to do it because you just never want to let go. We had been calling our vet we have had for years to get her in since the beginning of last week and they were adamant they could not fit her in. We tried this one out of desperation because we did not want her to suffer any longer. We called in and even though Bothell Pet Hospital was down to one veterinarian, they fit us in. The staff was so respectful and kind. They took such good care of our dog in her last moments. They set up an area in the park to say goodbye. Thank you so much to the staff on hand, you were so compassionate we appreciate everything you do.

I have been bringing my dogs and cats here for years and have always had good experiences (and I’m the kind of hypochondriac-by-proxy so if my cat looks at me a little funny I’m convinced they need medical care). The whole team there took such good care of my Great Dane throughout her whole life span all the way to 11 years when it was time to compassionately say goodbye. I genuinely don’t know if she would have had such a long and healthy life without them. Dr. Kovar is my ride or day favorite but we have received care from many vets on the team there and never been disappointed (special shout-out to Dr. Z, too!). Eli at the front desk is an absolute gem and I adore them. There’s a reason that it’s hard to book sometimes - this place is amazing! There are at least 3 vets between our house and BPH but we will not take our pets anywhere else, regardless of the distance. HIGHLY recommend.

It fills me with sadness to write this review. Up until the last year I was a super fan of Bothell Pet Hospital, telling all that would hear about the excellent care our animals had always received. I hesitated to write a review until our latest experience. All our animals are becoming older, requiring more trips to the vet. Each experience within the last year made me question if we were at the right vet clinic for us.The event that started our quest to find another vetOur older boxer had been diagnosed with 3 tumors. Each in an area that biopsy could not be done and surgical removal was either very invasive or couldn’t be done. We knew our time with him was limited and like any pet owner would want, we wanted his time to be enjoyable and pain-free. We discussed on several occasions that we thought he was in pain but to us, it didn’t seem like we were taken seriously. Thus, we moved him to another vet, unfortunately he only had another month with us but he was so much happier and more comfortable that last month.The nextOur younger boxer was grieving the loss of her bonded mate. We could not get an appointment to see the vet for ideas to help her through this process for weeks. This is when we made the move to another vet.The final straw leading to this reviewOur older cat had been vomiting (more than usual), because she was established at BPH and we hadn’t changed vets for her yet, we scheduled an appointment for her at BPH. The exact diagnosis could not be determined without further testing and even with that testing the treatment most likely was going to be the same, so we opted not to do further testing. We started her on the suggested meds and she was improving, until one day when we saw blood in her urine. We were able to get her in to find out she had a UTI. She was treated with antibiotics and seemed to recover. But within a week of finishing antibiotics she had blood in her urine again. Thankfully there was an appointment with a vet on Friday night, unfortunately when we loaded her into the kennel she emptied her bladder which meant they couldn’t do a urinalysis and we had to bring her back the next morning. On Friday a plan was decided that if the urine test came back negative in house, that we would do an x-ray and send the urine out for culture. The x-ray and urine culture negative in house but on Wednesday, the culture came back with a slight e-coli colony. More antibiotics were supposed to be filled. On Thursday, everything went sideways for our soul kitty. We called BPH to talk with the vet, we were told he was in with a patient and the staff would let him know so he could call us right away. Now, 5 days later…no call from BPH regarding what was happening with our beloved cat, also no call for refill of pain medication or antibiotics for what was supposedly causing blood in her urine.The night we were waiting for BPH to call, closing time of 6pm came and went. Now our options were to find an emergency vet that could see her…if you have ever had to go to an emergency vet in Seattle, you know it is an expedition of several hours and with covid, you can’t even go in with your pet. What a horrible picture that is when your pet is in pain, all we wanted to do was to be able to console her and make her time here more comfortable. At the emergency vet we made the difficult decision to let her cross the Rainbow Bridge.

They have always been on top of my pups health and she is picky with people so the fact that she will just let them examine her without a fight is stupendous! Will definitely continue to bring her back!

I have been using Bothell Hospital for my many felines for almost 30 years. All of the staff has always been great. Recently Dr. Wichert has been dealing with my many issues.She is great and always phones when requested.Highly recommended !

The entire staff has treated my fur babies and me with respect and caring during every visit. I started going because it was conveniently located but now I would never go anywhere else. They take the time to explain everything thoroughly and answer all of your questions. Theyre extremely compassionate when you have to make tough decisions about your pet. I own a cat but Im sure they treat all animals with love and compassion. I give them my highest recommendation.

Our dog, Mylo, needed to have dental work done. We left him at the Bothell Pet Hospital for about a day. Dr. Kovar and her team did an excellent job with removing the plaque buildup. He recovered from the effects of anesthesia and was back to his old self the next day. His teeth now look great.Thank you Dr. Kovar for job well done!

We brought our dog in for their vaccines and to get preventative treatment for heart worm, flee and ticks. For whatever reason they area only dispensing the medications one pill at a time. This is requiring month trips to the office.On our last trip, we asked to have this changed to reduce trips. Nothing was done and we received no follow up.In addition, a 24 hour turn around on something I can order online for a fraction of the cost is ridiculous.

I was very worried before my dogs spay, but the vets and nurses there are very sympathetic and patient. They took time to address my concerns, answer my questions, and called me immediately after the surgery. Very thankful for their attitude and work ethic!

The Docs and Vet Tecs at Bothell Pet hospital are all caring and well trained. They make good diagnoses on how to treat the problem quickly with care. I am new to this pet hospital but it came highly recommended by one of my neighbors. I am happy that I choose them. My little Toby seems to like them also.

Having wonderful retired Greyhounds, you need an amazing Vet like Dr Kovar. She knows this breed so well and the care they need.My visit was really good, everyone was so pleasant. And was great to catch with Dr Kovar too.

My family and I have been bringing our pets to Bothell Animal Hospital for over 25 years. They are warm, inviting, and caring. They treat the animal but also help the human understand what is happening to their fur-child and assist in making the best decision possible. I have vet office closer to home but choose to take my family pets to Bothell Animal Hospital and will continue to do so.

I have owned dogs and cats all my life. The Bothell Pet Hospital has, by far, the BEST Veterinary care pet owners could ask for.I have taken my pets there for over 15 years. They have extremely skilled, experienced and compassionate Veterinarians. They listen to your questions and concerns and truly care, not only how your pet is doing, but how you are doing. They do not rush you through your appointment, and spend the time to answer any questions you may have.Furthermore, they have an extremely experienced, friendly, compassionate staff.When they say they will talk with your Veterinarian and get back to you as soon as possible, they actually do. They are amazing.Moreover, during this difficult time in our country, dealing with the Corona Virus, they have made it safe to stay open and care for our pets. You can call or look on their website to learn how they made it safe. I was extremely impressed.I could go on and on about how wonderful Bothell Pet Hospital is, how taking your pet there would greatly benefit both you and your pet, however, I suggest you make an appointment and see for yourself. It will be, in my opinion, one of the best decisions youve ever made.

Update 1/25/21: it’s 4:15 and I still have not received a call back. I just called and was told his prescription is still not ready. I told the girl on the phone I was assured I would be called on Saturday and wasn’t. She asked me if I wanted her to talk to the doctor or the person who took the message on Saturday. I told her the doctor because I’d like an answer for my dog since we have been out of his prescription since Saturday. I’m now waiting for the doctor or someone to call back with an answer for my dog as well as the office manager.Update 1/23/21: I called on 1/22 regarding my dog’s prescription thinking I’d give them another chance. Our vet was out that day, but the girl who answered said she would talk to her the next morning. I told her we only had one dose left, she said she was going to talk to her first thing in the morning, then get back to me. I just tried calling, and they’re closed until 1/25. I never received a call back. Their follow through and communication is terrible.I’ve been happy enough with this place until today when I had the final straw. We are established patients and our cat needs to be seen to make sure something isn’t wrong. The first available appointment isn’t until next week. They can take her this week for an extra $22 “kenneling fee”. Meaning I drop her off and they see her when they can. In other words, I pay them to stick her in a kennel and have her available when it’s convenient for them. Yes, I recognize they’re working her in, but I don’t understand why it costs extra to stick her in a kennel.Previously I’ve taken my dog in for regular checkups and medicine management for anxiety. The last time I had him, they didn’t want to prescribe medicine for him. They wanted me to have him see a behavioral specialist out of Portland. They do zoom consultations. They are crazy expensive, like around $700 for the minimum two sessions it would take. When I called back to the Bothell vet, she had no idea it was that expensive. I think before she recommended it, she should have had some idea of what she was asking of me.Also, their communication is lacking. When I call in for prescription refills they don’t always call me back to tell me if it was approved. When I call back they act surprised that I hadn’t picked it up yet. I hadn’t because I didn’t know it was approved or ready for pickup. This has happened a few times. Plus, their phones are off for two hours for lunch. That seems excessive and makes it more difficult to reach them at times. They should stagger the front desk lunch breaks so they don’t have to turn the phones off for 2 hours.So, they’re fine for routine stuff, but anything beyond regular checkups, you may either not be able to get in or have to pay extra or be referred to exorbitantly expense providers.

Such an amazing and caring team! We can always count on them to provide the best care and service for our dogs that have gone through some very tough health problems. I also find the cost to be very reasonable and the vets are budget conscientious in their recommendations.

I switched to this clinic about 2 years ago based on the rave reviews, theyre a small business and their prices. I wanted an honest vet clinic for my pet. However with Covid, they made things very restrictive. For a checkup appointment, Id have to wait in the car and drop off my pet. My pet is a rescue dog and she gets anxious when I leave her. And its a checkup, its just the vet and me in the room and its not like the vet can talk to my pet. I have been to many doctors and dental appointments. They dont put these non-sense restrictions. I am fully aware of the crammed space they have at the clinic but I need to be in the room with my pet. Not too happy. Thankfully, I am in no hurry to have her seen by a vet. The clinic needs to do some renovations for sure. Its tiny, old and smells (not bc of the pets but the bld).

It doesnt matter where we have lived in the area over the years, BPH and Dr Kovar are the care we choose for our animals. (Sometimes Ive wished my own Drs have been as thoughtful and efficient!)

I felt like Dr. Harmer took the time to talk to me and explain everything going on with our senior kitty. I’m sure she’s a busy person but I never felt rushed and got all my questions answered.

I love the vets at Bothell Pet Hospital. We have been taking our pets here for over 19 years. (Holy cow! It really has been that long.) They have helped us with cats and dogs from 4 months through end of life and everything in between. The vets and other staff clearly love what they do. They celebrate successes and mourn our loses with us. The compassion of this Clinic is amazing!

My family has had many pets over 30 years and we have received such great care for them all here. I tried 2 other clinics since I live in Mill Creek but nothing compares to the care we receive here, so I drive the extra 15 minutes. I used to work here when I was in high school and have always loved the care and compassion I have seen personally.

I love Bothell Pet Hospital. I have a very reactive (on leash) dog. She wants to play so badly when she sees other dogs - which ends up turning to frustration when she cannot reach them - which then leads to barking. Bothell Pet Hospital has always accommodated her needs and gone out of their way to make sure Lily has a stress-free visit! Highly recommend :)

Dr. Camper has gone above and beyond to help us solve the tummy issues our new kitten has been having for the last two weeks and has personally called to give us lab results and to check in. I was nervous finding a new vet clinic having just moved back from Connecticut with our older cat and now having just adopted a 10 week old kitten, but Dr. Camper and the rest of the professional and knowledgeable staff have provided us with so much relief! We look forward to years of loyal, return visits to our new vet!

Great veterinarian! We see Dr. Camper: he was very thorough, explained everything about our kitten’s treatment and was able to answer all our questions. Due to COVID, our meeting was over the phone as they took our pet inside to be examined. Very impressed with the care and flexibility of this place! My dog was quite sick one day and we needed to get him in right away. I called Bothell Pet Hospital and I spoke to the receptionist and explained my dogs situation, she put me on hold, she then came back and said one of the veterinarians could squeeze him in during her surgery times. This meant so much and I was so appreciative. Thank you so much! My dog is doing great!

I’ve been waiting for over a month to have my boy seen. The day before I was given a reminder call where they informed me to stay in the car before my appointment which is fine. No one informed me that I would not be allowed to come into the appointment with my cat. I am used to handling him during his appointments and haven’t had issues with this and vets in the past. I understand things have changed with COVID but I was given no warning that owners are not allowed in. I waited over a month for this appointment and left my job early to make this appointment. Also when I call I struggle to get through, most of the time I’m met with a dead line noise which led me to believe their phone number isn’t even working and communicate through email(ugh)

Dr Harmor and her team are amazing. They really cared when my dog got a sudden ear infection and were able to work with my tough schedule to get her seen ASAP. Dr Harmor is smart, efficient, and has the loveliest bedside manner. I highly recommend this lovely hospital ❤️

Bothell Pet Hospital is great! I took my 2 year old cat there concerned about her rapid weight gain. During these crazy times they do vet visits over the phone, where they take your car into the building and you stay outside. It was quite nerve wracking to not be able to go in with my cat but the vet that I saw was calm and able to answer all of my frantic questions! She even gave me some resources to look at to continue to care for my kitty properly! Thank you all so much!

Great service, from front desk to doctors. Always thorough with updates via email whether its booster shots or annual exams. The best surprise is they are 25-30% less than the Vets on Mercer Island so I dont mind driving the distance.

It is easy to book appointments and the staff is always friendly. They even showed us how to order our dogs special food online to save money and get it shipped directly to our house!

Wow. I am so happy and impressed with this vet clinic. Dr Harmor took care of my kitty bella who had somehow damaged her canine and needed it extracted. From my consult to the actually surgery, she was so nice and professional and I felt like really cared about Bella. I had taken her to a corporate vet clinic in the area on a Sunday only because I was worried about her tooth as she was in a lot of pain and bothell was closed. This corporate clinic quoted me over around $4k and I just felt like a number to them and they just kept trying to sell me on stuff. I called bothell the next day and was pretty much in tears with how this corporate vet treated us (they didn’t even help my kitty in the moment and offer her anything to make her more comfortable). I called Bothell Monday morning and they had us come in that day and evaluated bella, came up with a plan, gave her some antibiotics, gave me a quote and scheduled the surgery. Although they were booked out a few weeks for surgery, they also sent me home with some pain medicine in case she was in any discomfort. Today, we had her surgery and Dr Harmor was the best at communicating. Also, the surgery ended up being almost $400 cheaper than what I was originally quoted. I appreciate all of the staff here and feel like they truly love pets and aren’t in it just to charge people an arm and leg but truly want pets to be happy and healthy. Thank you Dr Harmor! I will be coming here for years to come!

Every veterinarian at Bothell Pet Hospital is fantastic. Im never disappointed when I bring my pets there, regardless of the issue were having. Their prices are reasonable and its easy to schedule appointments with specific doctors and just anyone whos free. I would highly recommend them to anyone who wants a no-nonsense vet practice for their pet.

Update: Victoria called me and we had a really nice discussion. She listened to and understood my feedback and said the issues will be addressed. I really appreciated the call and hope that things do change, namely putting in a policy where prescriptions are called in promptly and to hire people who actually like animals (or at least pretend to like them).Changing my rating from 1 to 3 stars in hopes that things are getting addressed.******I wouldnt recommend coming here unless there are no other vet hospitals available. I do like the convenient location and most of the people there seem to mean well.I think the problem is they are too busy to put the thought thats needed to give proper customer service and more importantly proper healthcare to pets.Ill start with the minor issues first.-they had me bring my dog back for lab work to make sure his new meds werent causing any issues. after the appointment, I called a few days later to find out the lab results. Turned out they didnt do any lab work although they charged me for it. The only thing they did during that appointment was take his blood pressure. I had to make another appointment and bring him back for the lab.-I took my dog there for an appointment and waited in my car (this is during COVID where you cant go inside). It was taking a few hours so I called to see the status. They forgot to tell me that this was a drop off appointment and theyd call me when hes ready to be picked up.-I took my other dog there for immunizations. They said he needed to be examined before they could administer the shots. The vet called me from the exam room and proceeded to tell me in what great shape SHE was and referred to my dog as a she multiple times. My dog is a male.The more serious issues:-I took my dog (who has congenital heart failure and fluid in his lungs) to be seen via drop off appointment (this time, they gave me a drop off form) where they keep the pet until there is a timeslot the vet is available. I didnt hear from them for 7 hours. So I called to see what was going on. They put me on hold, and they said the doctor was seeing him now. The vet called me about 45 minutes later. I dont know for sure but I think they may have forgotten about him until I called. I asked if they fed him at all while he was there and they said no because I didnt give them his food. Since they know the process better than me, I wish they would have told me that it was possible he would stay all day and that they wont feed him unless I give them food to feed him. The vet told me that he was having fluid in his lungs again, she could hear it, and she called the cardiologist to ask what to do. She recommended a medication that the vet said shed call in. The next day, I call the pharmacy and there was no prescription called in. I called the vets office and asked if they could call it in. The woman who answered said theyd call it in when they call it in. I told her the urgency (that this is life threatening) and asked if she could make it a priority. She said she will call it in. I asked today? And she said no, not necessarily today. That was pretty much the entire conversation. She didnt try and soften it or explain anything. She was pretty much like this is what Ill say Ill do, take it or leave it. What are you going to do about it sort of thing.I have now transferred my dogs care to another hospital with an appointment in a few days. Whether Bothell Pet Hospital ever calls in the prescription remains to be seen. (Update-they did call it in on Thursday two days after the appointment and one day after the unpleasant phone call.)

I have taken my pets to BPH. Exclusively for over 15 years and have always been overwhelmed by to whole staffs compassion, knowledge and professionalism. I always recommend.them to friends and family for quality caring pet healthcare.

Ive been bringing my cats to Dr. Kovar since 2005 and she is just amazing. Bothell Pet Hospital has a wonderful staff and I have always been given the absolute best care for my pets. I wouldnt think of taking them anywhere else. I adopted my 4 year old Amber from Homeward Pet Adoption Center (Woodinville) in June 2016 and they gave me a complimentary certificate for my first vet exam and BPH honored it without question. I love this hospital and highly recommend my go-to vets Dr. Kovar and Dr. Hsu.

We brought our 2 Westies in for annual exams with Dr. Lesley. She was quick to realize we were accepting of our elder dogs status, so she kept his maintenance to a minimum. We are grateful. I referred a friend and her dog is now a client with a happy owner! Everyone is friendly, courteous professional.

The welcome was warm and inviting. The staff seem happy & enjoy their job! Lesley, the vet that I saw, explained things I had not gotten explained to me before. I got a new puppy in January and went crazy looking for a good vet hospital for all his puppy appointments. Im so glad i choose this hospital. Im never looking back, the best staff and such a beautiful building.

Bothell Pet Hospital took great care of my two senior fur babies (Siberian Cats). Both girls needed blood work, vaccinations and complete exams. Afterwards the vet took the time to fully explain all the results and make recommendations. The entire staff was very friendly and courteous. Everything went very smoothly. This all happened during the Covid-19 shutdown, so I waited in my car while someone came to collect my girls, Natasha and Ziva. They have done an excellent job of establishing their new procedures during this difficult time in order to keep everyone safe while continuing to provide essential services. Things I like best about Bothell Pet Hospital are: they genuinely care about their clients pets and understand how important they are; prices are fair; staff is always friendly and courteous; and doctors never try to pressure you into unnecessary, or unreasonably expensive procedures. They offer their clients advice and explain the pros and cons of various treatment options. But, in the end they understand it is the clients decision, and that prognosis and potential outcomes need to be weighed against quality of life and, unfortunately, affordability. I will always use Bothell Pet Hospital for my pets’ needs.

One of the best vet clinics in the area. Great vets. Highly recommend.They have been helping me with rescue terriers since 2005. I recommend them to EVERYONE. They are kind, good interaction with patience and owners, and take the time to go over details and explain things to you. I really appreciate their input and support.

Bothell Pet Hospital is by far the absolute best care I have ever experienced for my pets. I have been going there for many years, and the staff and facility are top-notch in every way. Dr. Hsu is superb --- not only is she extremely knowledgeable and able to clearly explain things, but it is obvious that she truly cares about her pet patients. The front office staff are always friendly, professional, efficient and accommodating. I will not take my girls anywhere else for their care.

The Dr.s and staff at Bothell Pet Hospital are exceptional. They have been like family to us and our pets for the past 28 years - welcoming, compassionate, good listeners, and quality care. They went the extra mile caring for our golden doodle recently when she was in treatment for lymphoma, and when our dog let us know it was time to go, Dr. Kovar came in on her day off to be there. Wonderful people who truly care.

Ive been bringing my pets here since 2004 and will continue to do so. The staff is friendly, the vets are all amazing. At one point or another we have seen every vet and they are caring, skilled and very good with animals. You can tell they love our pets as much as we do. I can usually get an appointment with little wait time. And when we lose a pet, as does eventually happen, they are so empathic, it makes a difficult time a little easier to get through. I am confident in Bothell Pet Hospital and highly recommend them.

This is the best vet clinic I have been to. The front office staff is friendly and courteous,and the 2 different vets I have seen have been excellent. I mistakenly arrived a day early for my appointment, and after checking with the Dr., my cat and I were taken in, thankfully, soI didnt have to come back the next day. I have never gotten the feeling that the focusis on money, or running up the bill, It is an honest, competent, caring clinic. There arecloser ones to my home, but I will continue to go to Bothell Pet Hospital.

I just returned from what is likely my 37th or so visit here. While I was there today I thought about how well this team has treated my family for the past 20 years. I am truly grateful for their professionalism and compassion. It is easy to get an appointment, and they never make you wait. I think Ive seen every doctor, and they are all top-notch. I really like Bothell Pet Hospital. When I moved here from out of state with my German Shepherd, they helped us get everything squared away and up-to-date. We have had to be in a few times for various things since, the staff are always friendly, professional, and efficient. I trust that my dog is getting the best possible care when we need it. Great outfit. My dog cut his leg, and we just swung in when they opened. They had me out the door in 1.5 hours, the bill was incredibly reasonable, and they did a great job with Max. I would highly recommend to anyone.

I just started going here with our new Beagle pup. The Dr is so sweet and all the staff are really nice and caring. My baby has had a couple of infections and they helped her immediately. I highly recommend this place to anyone.

Great experience every time. Loving and caring for pets and parents from all staff. Would be a five but cost is tough. Probably a good value. Weve never ventured out because the people are so great.
