Recruiter set up a call, never actually called.
Communication could be much better. I was notified on the Tuesday of the last week of the assignment that my last day would be Friday & still haven’t heard anything thereafter. I’m really trying to give this company the benefit of the doubt but I’m not really sure what to think. They recruit for great companies though.
Really communicative, very professional and with a base of clients that was clearly expanding. The nature of contract work is that the recruiting company has no control over when their client terminates a contract. While this has happened to me, I understand it completely. They tried to help me find new work when that happened and did so with the same professionalism and highly communicative process with which they found my first role with them. There was a noticeable bit of turnover within the company and people who I once worked with have switched roles, so often I would need to get to know someone new. They also seem to value diversity internally which is a huge plus. We keep in contact even when Im working with a different recruiting company or on a full time assignment.
During my year-long job search I worked with at least a dozen Boston-based tech staffing agencies. From most I got the impression I was little more than another potential commission. This was not my experience with TEKsystems, where the recruiter I worked with was always extremely professional and showed genuine interest in getting to know me and my experience in order to find a good fit for me--something at which they ultimately succeeded!
I have had nothing but bad experiences with this company. Ive had recruiters message me on LinkedIn to set up a phone call, never call, and then ignore all emails after - numerous times. I cannot wrap my head around how rude and unprofessional it is for recruiters to ghost people. Do not waste your time like I did - there are so many other recruiting companies in the area that will actually value your time and talent.
Dont use this recruiter. They will nickle and dime you for everything. They wouldnt have given me the minimum number of sick days required by Massachusetts law if I hadnt called them out on it.
Worst place to work.
