I have a 2016 BMW 550i that I had some work done on. I had an oil leak and they explained everything to me very nicely and carefully. They charged very reasonably and did a great job. Much cheaper than the dealer. Highly recommend!!

Place is a scam. They are dishonest with diagnoses and try to charge you for things you dont need. I came for a state inspection. Their obd2 said my sedan oxygen and catalyst is not ready but they suggest an exhaust repair and would give me a sticker after. I am not the original owner so I dont know if exhaust need repair. My obd2 did detect o2 ratios in the engine when I used it a few weeks earlier. I had a scan tool that gave me the reading, low minimum stop pedal position a before coming there. There is no check engine light at all. They said system did not gave any error code. I am not a mechanic but I know it probably has something to do with maf. I took out the maf a few weeks earlier and saw water in the connector harness. They will scam you of your money and will not fix your problem.Update: After driving for a few days, it appeared that the problem was not fix. The problem is I just check my receipt and I was overcharged. At their shop, they said theyll check my exhaust, repair it and pass my inspection for $125. They came back and said theyll replaced the gasket and springs because of rust for about $80. They are being unclear intentionally. The receipt has a charged of $280 for exhaust leak check. I do not think they even fix the exhaust at all. Now I have to drive around and redo inspection.After redoing my inspection, car seem to run smoother so ill update my review. Mechanic should have been more honest with pricing.I would not recommend going to this shop.

THIS PLACE IS A RIPOFF.It was my first and my last time here. I went to this place because my favorite bodyshop - Dorchester Tire was closed permanently. I went here for oil change and inspection. He tried to upsell me 2 windshield wiper for $60 and said it need to be replace to pass inspection which I was okay. He kept asking me for cash payment which I dont have and i told him you have the card swiper there. then he said the inspection fee must be in cash and oil change can charge to my card. after i thought everything was done he came back and said my plate light need to be changed for the same reason need to pass inspection. and again he ask for $10 in cash. I had been waiting for more than an hour so i just let him do it, if not I just go to another place. Terrible.

I bring my vehicle to AAA Auto every time i need service for both of my vehicles. They explain thoroughly and show me what is bad in the car before they fix it, i never have to go back for the same problem. Excellent service, will come back again for sure! Highly recommend this shop!

Place is a scam told me i needed a tierod then said i needed both front control arms..??? My control arms were replaced less than a yr ago with the tierods and all bushings went for an inspection left paying $150 for inspection and diagnostic just for them to fail me then offer me to do the work for $800 mind you i had already failed an inspection so i had an R on it but all work was done at another shop(bertos) great shop which means they didnt even bother to do an inspection be very careful dealing with this ship

My father-in-law and I took my car to AAA Auto Tech to do an annual vehicle safety inspection. Few minutes later, the guy came out and said the car rack and pinion is leaking fluid, and the exhaust pipe has a leak. He said I need to fix both issues to pass safety inspection, and the whole thing would cost about $1800. I said I can’t afford that much, he said he would knock down the price to around $670 to weld the leak on the exhaust pipe alone. I hesitated to leave the car to the shop but was assuring that the shop would do a perfect job. I came into the waiting room to discuss the issue with my father in law. Two minutes later, we decided not to go ahead with the repair. However, the shop receptionist/owner said they already started on the car and it was already too late to stop. He made me sign the contract for the exhaust leak repair.About 2.5 hours later, we came back to get the car and paid. The car steering wheel became very stiff to turn, making the vehicle extremely difficult to drive safely. We look underneath the car and saw the steering housing was gushing out steering fluid. I talked to the owner about this and he said his shop didn’t touch the rack and pinion or the steering. Regardless the car passed safety inspection.Fearing the worst, I called my husband, who is away on active duty. He told me to take to a reputable auto shop to have the vehicle checked out. The second place did a thorough inspection on the damages done by AAA Auto Tech. On the receipt they said they used 2 exhaust gaskets, 2 bolt springs and welding job. We found out that AAA Auto Tech did not perform the welding as the receipt stated. There was no welding. Moreover, the part used to repair the exhaust pipe was not the correct part, not even the correct substitute. They used only one gasket that was not the right fit. They used regular bolts with no spring as per the receipt. And the leak on the rack and pinion steering? It was damaged by a sharp object (such as knives, screwdrivers etc) in the area that cannot be touched by natural elements such as rock, debris, branches, etc…The place committed many frauds and violations. First of all, they started the repair without first obtain my consent. They basically coerced and forced me into a position where it’s too late to stop. Secondly, they intentionally and maliciously destroyed the vehicle to scare me into accepting their outrageously overpriced repair. The damage they did made the car potentially fatal to operate. Thirdly, they did not perform or provide the services and parts as per agreement. No welding was done, incorrect and unsafe parts were used. This is classic scam/fraud/stealing. Lastly, they fraudulently gave out passed safety inspection.I highly, with all my sincerity, advice people to RUN AWAY from this place. They made a potentially fatal mistake however. They scammed a United States Navy family. We Navy we never surrender and never back out from a fight. We already have filed complaint with BBB, the State of Massachusetts Consumer Protection and the FTC.

I came to AAA for an auto inspection. Herbie completed the inspection and I am very happy with the service he gave me. Herbie was very pleasant and fair and took my car in right away. I enjoyed my experience with him and will recommend him to others looking for an auto shop that does inspections and/or repairs.

Caution. Extremely high prices. paid $50 for a quick check of the exhaust system and came up with a $1275. I had the same check up at no charge and gave me a $900 estimate. Beware!

Dont go to this place... They will rob you.My car was not running, not switching gears and was leaking. I took it to AAA Auto Tech and they charged me $127 to tell me that I needed a new transmission, that they can order a used one from their supplier for $2500 including labor. I told him that I was going to check with the dealership whether my extended warranty had expired. the Portuguese guy in the front desk assured me that he was a specialist in transmission and that he was able to see from their system that I had no warranty. I took my car to the dealership, even so.Before going to the dealership I tried to find the price for used transmission from different sellers and the price varied from $350 to $500.At the dealership, I was told that my car only needed a new transmission FLUID, which would cost me $300 (labor included) and that my extended warranty was still valid. The next day, I drove out of the dealership with $0 spent.

Let them work on my BMW for a front end alignment and oil change, was told I needed new tire rods and was charged $1600. Got the car back and it was running hot and the splash guard fell off in the parking lot at work. I brought the car back and they charged me an additional $100 to tell me why the car was now running hot. I was told I needed all new hoses under the hood for $700 dollars more, which was a lie because I had just replaced them all myself prior to bringing the car to them.I was also told that I needed brake shoes, pads, calipers and rotors for $1200, all of which I has replaced myself previously. Bottom line is this place is a rip off and everyone should be aware of it!!!

Stay far away from this place. They’re overpriced. They’ll fail your inspection and make you get repairs you don’t need. Went in to get my sticker done, failed me for front end charged me over $1,000 for repairs 2 days later there was a problem with my exhaust they wanted to charge me another $500-1,000. I will never come back here or recommend this place to any of my friends or family.

Was thinking about buying a used car (Audi) but check engine light was on. I took it to AAA Auto and Herby and Miguel helped me through the entire process, checking it before i bought it. After i bought it, they fixed everything for me and walked me through the entire process of what was going on. Great shop for real quality work.

Do yourself a favor & DONT COME HERE. Not an honest shop. At the very least get a second opinion somewhere else before you waste a lot of money over something that was very simple. Just go to Hannibal’s on 21 Victory road. Nice people & honest mechanics at Hannibal’s.

I went to AAA auto tech on a day two weeks ago when my boyfriend and I were stuck in Boston trying to return home about 100 miles north. The crew was so friendly and saw me on a very last minute basis. They were fun to chat with while we waited (and its a multilingual crew so if you need non English or just want to practice your Portuguese, its a good spot for that!). They gave us a good rate and definitely a solid repair. Thanks!

Went to AAA Auto Tech for a transmission issue, and Herbie was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and professional. Was able to get the car fixed in one day, and he was able to give me a fair price. I hope I dont have any more car issues, but if I do, Ill be heading back there.

Had a transmission problem 2 days before Christmas and feared the worst. The guys took my car same day and found all it was was a broken seal. Had my car back and running smoothly the next day. Saved several thousand dollars by not needing a new transmission. I would go back again for other services as well.

I love this place, since I first brought my accord here they never steered me wrong and always were direct with me and fair. Lets you know all the issues with your vehicle before the initial job is started to make the customer aware, nothing goes over heads or unnoticed, very professional and keeps a clean place, I would recommend this place for all my friends and family.

Charged me $845 for brakes and rotors...ask around before you go there...didnt check other reviews to see others thought this place was a RIP off...went there for an inspection sticker and they told me my brakes failed...others said they were told the same but when brought to another place, told brakes were fine..had to take it back twice because it is making a strange noise...still hasnt gone away, but so frustrated w them, I dont want them to touch my car again!! Will be reporting them to both the BBB and the MA Registry..not convinced their business practices are ethical....ABSOLUTELY DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR THERE....I never bother writing reviews if a place isnt great, but this place is so awful, everyone should be warned...its THAT bad!!

At AAA auto they wanted to charge me $800 to repair 2 wheel bearing. They charged me $50 to tell me that information. So I took my car to an honest shop and I was charged $250 and my car was fixed.Be aware this place will tell you that you need done way more than you really need and will try to charge you a lot more money than you have to spend.

Be cautious. They sweet mouth you to empty your pocket. If you do diagnostics with them, they tell you they gonna waive the fees if you do the job with them. Lies! They double or triple charge you for changed parts and also charge for unnecessary labour hours. At the end of the day, you leave with your vehicle worse than you brought it in. Eventually had to fix my car somewhere else. Disappointed and Dissatisfied with their service!

They might be able to do a good job on your car if you are rich you can go there! i feel forced today the guy kept saying he is giving me discount for rotors when they charging me $800 offering me the credit option,the worst part is i told him i cant pay it because i have other credit cards to pay and when i was paying i had to make transations on my phone from credit to debit i see this guy took like 20 sec reading the $$ on my account when i had the phone on the desk.will not go back there no more i hand up doing the job outside for 300 when they wanted 800! becareful overcharge

I took my truck in for a manifold gasket replacement. Those guys went all out to make sure i left there a very happy customer. They went above and beyond the means just to make sure my truck was i great condition before i left. Thanks to the auto tech team and my man at the front desk.

This place will rip you off! 2 years ago I went and supposedly got an alignment but after the alignment the steering wheel wasnt centered so took it to sears and they showed me that nothing had been done in the car! Today after 2 years I went again to do an inspection on another car and they wanted to charge me 100$ for an inspection you gotta be out of your mind.

On 11/8/2019 manager at the front desk wanted to charge me $59.99 to reprogram my tires. Went down the street to Dorchester Tire Services and they fixed my problem for free and also warned me that my rear tires needed to be changed. PLEASE ALWAYS GET A SECOND OPINION WHEN IT COMES TO THESE GUYS.

Im definitely a repeat customer. I havent gone anywhere else since Ive discovered this place. They are down to earth people (which I love) who goes above and beyond to make sure youre happy with their service. They even found ways for me to save money :). While waiting for my car to be serviced, they even provided me with snacks today out of nowhere (which is awesome cause who wouldnt like free snacks and food right? lol). Herbie, Joe & the crew are awesome. Also, while conversing with the lady sitting next to me - also waiting for her car to be serviced...she expressed to me that a friend of hers recommended her to this place and shes been going here ever since. What kinda place Charges 544$ for 2 rear wheel brake pad and rotor replacement don’t forget + greased up your calipers... Aaa auto tech does. Their greatest concern is customer service is the biggest lie.The worst place you could bring your car to, just by the way they talk to you, they make it seem like you wouldn’t know anything about repairs so they just tell you whatever they want... I paid 544 dollars for them to replace 2 rear brake pads and rotors, and put grease on the calipers...I was quoted 520 bucks told them I couldn’t do that, they call me back less than 10 mins later saying they could wait the diagonositc fee then 20 mins after that they call back saying they have to replace one other thing so it’s basically the fee plus some more taxes, I don’t have no fancy new car, and the Average brake pad and rotor replacement usually runs from 400-600 for all 4 wheels, I only got 2 and damn near paid for four, these people who claim their number one concern is customer service is liars, first and last time I go there, I never heard anyone say go to AAA auto tech and I know why now.

They dont know what they are doing. Scammers especially if you are a woman they try to make money off you. They cant even put a muffler together. No good communication with a customer either. They have me wait for a week just to repair a leak . I recommend you go somewhere else people....a couple months ago he wanted to do oil change for $59,99 he said your car needs special oil ...( really)why now when I always have it done with regular oil for 4 years...i had to drive my ass to Monroe. Very pissed I am.

Do not go here to fix your car, they are bunch of thieves and rip offs. This shop can do little for you and charge you with a lot of money, several hundreds to thousands. Any extra problem your car shows is an extra charge for you to pay. I went there for the first time and it will be my last. Pls avoid and be warned.

This place think people are dumb in terms of spending money on their cars. The manager (Indian guy) is a joke, he play with your intelligent to dupe you. I brought my car to be fixed for minor engine vibration at 8am Friday morning. They charged me over $1100.00 just to replace 3 engine mount and a transmission mount, they spent most of the day changing oil and replacing light bulb on other cars, and many talking than actual work, by 6pm this Indian guy want me to pay them all $1100 while my car is undrivable until he do further diagnoses the next day Saturday, without letting me know that they’ve damaged my CVT transmission while test driving my car . I disagree to pay all. They love money; they dont care about your satisfaction.Here come the next day Saturday, they waited later in the day and tell me that my car transmission is not working; I should buy a new transmission for 2011 Sentra and pay them another $1250 for labor only. Which of course they killed my transmission during test drive and the Idiot called Mario sat down in my car and eats his dirty lunch (disrespectful to me).I have to call a tow truck to tow my car to a better and experienced shop. Thank God my car is back on the road with the help of affordable and experience shop like monro.
