Staff: 5/5Location: 5/5Cost: 4/5Neighbors: 3/5Background: Wife and I moved to Boston and lived in 660 Washington St for 2 years. I always found these google reviews helpful. The Good: The concierge and maintenance folks are top top top tier. Maintenance requests never stood for longer than 12 hours. Great location, strong A/C units, and good view. Appliances were also modern and stainless steel. Never had an issue with the apartment itself. The Bad: The building is notorious for college students with wild/loud parties. We never dealt with this on our floor (top floor bars students from joining). However the other floors were filled with college students. Concierge/security will shut the parties down but they pop up at least once per week and can go until 3am. Fortunately, we did not deal with this but we met many others in the building that did and resented the college kids.We would recommend living here but be mindful to do your due diligence on your neighbors on your floor before moving in.
Best place to live in Boston! Quite, clean and spectacular customer service. Perfect location; right in downtown and close to public transportation. Amenities are great too! I truly love living here. Thank you!
Wonderful staff! Alex Morales in leasing is super responsive and goes above and beyond to answer questions very quickly, he make things happen for moving in or any requests. We are thankful to have the help especially coming from a different state it was tricky to navigate but Alex was patient with helpful
I’m a MA Real Estate Agent and a client of mine was in between selling and buying and therefore needed a rental!I spoke with Alex from the leasing office and he was amazing! He was knowledgeable, kind, and efficient! We didn’t end up making short term lease there, BUT I wish I could work with Alex daily!
Please do not rent from this building.Management (Mike Quintanilla / Emma McGarth) run a building that has continuos parties, place smells like pot and there is zero security. On top of that they mislead people and keep the deposits .Notice was given at 8 weeks verbally and again 7 weeks in writing. They rented the unit immediately however decided to keep the deposit.STAY AWAY STAY AWAY STAY AWAY
Great place to live. There are many young people who unfortunately brake the rules and smoke but management is pretty strict about it. Location is great and building well kept. Concierge guys are amazing.
We absolutely LOVED working with Angie while moving in. She made the transition smooth and relaxing. Even sharing in our excitement and moving mountains to make it easier when small hiccups came up (as they always will.) very excited to live here moving forward.
I have lived here for about 7 months. The apartments are fantastic and the common areas are kept very clean. The maintenance staff responds very quickly. The majority of the concierge staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming when you come home (Chuck is amazing). There are a lot of young undergrads in the building and it can on the louder side on the weekends, but it has not been too terrible. A lot of neighbors smoking pot which comes through the vents into your apartment. Many great amenities, but missing a common outdoor area that many other apartment buildings in the area offer. The windows block out almost all noise outside which is great at night since the area is loud. The walls seem to be quite thick as well and I have only heard my neighbors on occasion and when they have had parties. Hope to stay here for a long time! Would definitely recommend living here!
Great location, love Chuck, and the teams building is friendly and responsive.
Phenomenal. The service, attention to detail, and care by the leasing office at 660 is out of this world! Go and request for MARTIN - he was by our side and answered every one of our questions (and calls and emails) from the day we stepped in to the day we got our fancy new apartment. He definitely went above and beyond to make our move-in as smooth and stress free as possible.Everyone else in the office and concierge was amazingly helpful too. They are so dedicated to customer service and making us residents happy! Certainly easier to do with such nice common amenities. Thanks all!
I love this apartment!! It got everything u need and wanted. It have a Spacious gym, Cafe, Huge lounge room, Long pool, Game, study and party rooms. The staff and security is so helpful and professional. The building is so clean and organize. This place is so Luxury that I want to stay here longer
I was dreading moving just like most people, but the team at 660 did everything they could to make the process as simple as possible. They cleared the entire loading dock free of other businesses vehicles and even helped me to carry some of my things to the unit. When I arrived the unit was perfectly clean with absolutely nothing to follow up with the team about. PJ and Johnta where both amazing and I would give them 6 stars if I could!
Wonderful staff with best facilities.I would say one of the best apartment in downtown, Boston.
Kassan from Lease office were so nice with me, and help me in the process of renting an apartment with professionalism and good attitude. Michelle was so thoughtful, patience and professional too. The building is nice and the Desk crew are cool.
I love this apartment building. The lobby staff is available to assist residents 24/7. The doorman Chuck is happy to help with things like calling for a taxi, carrying groceries, and facilitating deliveries. Maintenance staff is friendly and always go out of of their way for residents. I have been living or worked at 660 Washington St. since it opened. The location of the building is great. Its in the middle of downtown, so its close to things like the Boston Common and Downtown Crossing. Transportation is convenient because its so close to the green, orange and red lines also, the Commuter Rail. Its close to the highway, too.
My experience from the time i apply to the time i move-in has been amazing! Big thanks to Johnta for processing all the paperwork so quickly. Johnta went above and beyond and because of all his help, the entire process was extremely smooth. The first time I came down to the office to drop off some of the forms, I got stuck in crazy traffic coming into the city, and instead of getting there at 5pm as i had originally scheduled, i made it there close to 6pm. I called Johnta on my way there and he was very understanding, and he stayed late to help me out. Once I got to the office, i signed the forms, he didnt rush me at all, took his time to go over everything, and made sure all paperwork was filled out correctly. he noticed places that i forgot to initial and pointed those out. The second time i had to come down to view the apartment, Johnta told me to park in the garage and validated my parking so that I wouldnt have to drive around the city forever to find a parking spot. I never had any issues getting in touch with Johnta or anyone else in the office, several times I called and Angie answered the phone, and was able to answer many of my questions if Johnta wasnt available. Everyone in the leasing office is very knowledgeable and are really there to help and ensure that residents are happy. It took 3 weeks from beginning to end (to go through the application process and get approved for the apartment). I was originally scheduled to move in a month from the time i signed the lease, but i requested to move-in a bit earlier if possible, and guess what?? my guy Johnta came through AGAIN! within a day he got back to me and told me that everything was set for me to move-in on the new date i requested, which was almost 10 days earlier. Literally anything you need, youll have answers in a couple of days. Once i moved in, I met with Mike the general manager and he was very welcoming and let me know that if i needed anything I could reach out to him. I had some questions about setting up the apartment (putting up shelves on the wall, painting an accent wall, etc..), so called the office and Amanda answered every question. This team is really on point! Thank you guys for all the awesome service you provide everyday. Also shot out to the guys downstairs: Zack, Chuck, and couple other guys whom im blanking on the names (Sorry, just moved there a week ago, still need to remember everyones name) these guys are super helpful, they told me about the neighborhood, helped me setup my mailbox, etc..I always have nice conversation with them. So far in my first week living here, the staff has exceeded all my expectations, I am extremely happy i chose 660 Washington Apts. Thank you so much for everything you Johnta. Looking forward to meeting the rest of the team, enjoying my new apt, and exploring the city! Keep up the amazing work everyone!!
Great Building to live in! the maintenance team is the best in the world, in particular Julio! Awesome guy! great attentions! thanks a lot!
The lease officers in this building are friendly. Martin Shultz, thank you for your assistance and making things easier for me.
Beautiful apartment building with great floor plans and amenities. Some units even have balconies! Johnta, in the leasing office, gave me a tour and was very knowledgable and helpful.
Moved in August 2018, love the place! The staff at the concierge desk are very friendly and always offer to help with bags/carts. Most notably Chuck and Max. Leasing office is very helpful and attentive, Johnta was a star when it came to the paperwork before I moved in and since then his customer service has been exeptional. If there are any issues then he is always there to help take care of them!Love, love, love living here and the location is amazing too!
I have lived in 660 Washington apts for almost 5 years now. My last 3 and half years here were amazing but since then the building and the management has only gone downhill, to such a point that I will definitely not staying here much longer. There is on an average only 2 elevators (due to maintenance) for 400 apartments. Ive had to wait over 20 minutes just to get into an elevator because of this. In addition the building management treats all the residence as kids and take nothing seriously. Keep this place as a last last last option to live.
Comfortable and clean. But very noisy - high concentration of undergraduate renters make for many noisy late nights especially Thursday Friday and Saturday. Noise occurs late at night with slamming doors and loud talking in the hallways and the thumpa thump thump of music. Very problematic if you have a traditional work schedule in the nearby hospitals or finance sectors. Otherwise: Boston Common and all the sights are a close walk. This is a very centrally located building. The subway is right outside the door which is a great convenience. Maintenance is VERY quick and responsive which is a great plus. We would look for a building with smaller number of student renters. There is also a policy that allows temporary renting which creates a transient aspect to living here. Lots of vagrants in the neighborhood.
It is an incredible site, all the people who work here treat you with a lot of kindness and to make the move everything were facilities, they are charming.
I give the Extra Mile award to the leasing office of 660 Washington Street for their tremendous support and flexibility with my recent move-in. I moved in last week in the middle of the worst snow blizzard (January 4) and they made it a seamless experience!!!!
I love my apartment; have lived here for eight years. My siamese cat, Archie, and I enjoy the beautiful views of sail boats on the Charles and celebrations on the Boston Common. Archies favorite place to visit is the leasing office, where he gets spoiled rotten. On chilly winter days, we particularly enjoy sitting by the fireplace in the lobby, watching people and their dogs come home. The best part of living here is the exceptional people who manage our building. The maintenance, concierge, and leasing office staff provide us with a warm community atmosphere where you are treated like family!
Mailed one book to see if delivery here worked well. Day 2. Still can not find it. Took a week for my husband to get a second set of keys. I broke my wrist and arrived here expecting that the doorman could help with a cart. But he had gone to lunch. I was given a cart to do it myself. Not a cheap building. No. One. Can. Help. You.
Amazing place to rent an apartment! However, there are a lot of people that party way way too much! Sometimes they can be very loud at night and some people here are very rude. The thing is that the staffs are perfect! They are nice and friendly! (Thats you Chuck, David, and Lydia) Great and convenience place for you to go get grocery, few steps to the T station and cafes. There are many restaurants around here and China Town is just right in the corner!
Kassan M. and Johnta T. in the leasing office were a pleasure to deal with. They took their time to show us several apartments and options to suit our needs & budget. 660 Washington is a beautiful place with great amenities We look forward to moving in. We will definitely recommend 660 Washington to our friends and family.
Even though my experience living in 660 Washington was too short till now, but was great result so far, Its comfortable to live in a fantastic location surrounded by all required needs, In addition managed by high professional staff of management, employees and service team.
A beautiful, must see, attraction for any visitor. Located in a prime area of the city. Often hosts interesting cultural events.
Awsome building great! Great! Amenities! Great pool for swimming!! Consult Kassan and Saeed for any great opportunities
Saeed and Kassan are great. They really helped me alot to find the best apartment for me.
Quick aside: one of the reviewers on this thread, Edward McGhee is a front desk concierge at the building. They are posting scam posts in order to boost their ratings. If that doesnt give you an indication of the quality of the building, I dont know what will.TLDR: I am a young professional working in Boston, and this has been the worst living experience I have had in the city. Do not spend your money here; there are just as many luxury buildings in the area if thats what youre going for--try the Kensington for one. This is just not a place you can call home.Couple quick facts for context:1. The building rents to a majority of undergraduate students. They throw parties every night of the week, smoke cigarettes in their apartments (which you will be able to smell due to poor ventilation), and slam doors.2. The building allows Stay Alfred to rent out apartments as hotel rooms to tourists for as little as two nights. These people have access to the gym, pool, and all other amenities in the building. I have walked into the lobby and heard Are you checking in? from the concierge. They can also be quite loud and generally clueless, which is just annoying. With the exception of Chuck down at the front desk, management and front desk are incompetent. Things can happen in any building, but management doesnt send out emails explaining whats happening or giving a timeline to resolution. The building doesnt have stairs that you can access from the ground floor to go up, so if the elevators arent working there is literally no way to get into your apartment. Packages are lost. Trash is left in the trash room without being placed in the chute. There is a pervasive cigarette smell throughout the building. And unfortunately, they just dont do anything about it and deny responsibility, giving tenants little recourse.I didnt know about any of these things going into a lease, but hopefully it helps anyone else who is considering living in this building.
Great location and the staff if exellent
Great location, great amenities, and awesome people working here!
I love the gym!! And the staff
The staffs are super nice to me.
Unless you are into parties... this is not the place for you. Constantly had to call management... concierge pounding doors didnt help.
Love this apartment, it got GYM, CAFE, POOL,
Great place
