Atmosphere is always inviting and Ray the Barber always finds a way to perform magic on my head. Total positive experience!
Ive been here a few times now. Every visit is just as good if not better than the last. Extremely short wait times, friendly employees. I always enjoy my time here. 10/10 would recommend!
Atmosphere is good and the haircuts even better
I went here twice, and both times I said I wanted LOW AND EVEN ALL OVER for my nephew. The first time I took my 9 y/o nephew here, the barber took it upon himself to cut off half of my nephews eyebrow. Me nephew said he told him youre supposed to get it with this type of haircut. I noticed it during the cut, was upset, but decided not to cause a scene so I paid and left. Months later, I take my nephew a second time and the same thing happens but with a different barber. However, I didnt notice the eyebrow cuts until hours later. I am extremely upset because I told them what I wanted to be done, and they insisted on taking it upon themselves to cut his eyebrows a well. My nephew is still a little kid, and I do not appreciate them trying to put a look on him that I do not think is appropriate for his age. The haircut itself was great. My issue is just with them cutting the eyebrows. Not once did I say to even touch his eyebrows. When I specifically said low and even all over, did they not take me seriously because Im a young female and they think I dont know about haircuts? I knew exactly what I wanted for my nephew. Even if he said thats what he wanted (which he didnt) who was paying for the cut? Not the barber, and not my nephew. So if my nephew happens to be in a chair there again and the barber takes it upon themself to cut his eyebrows, make sure you take it upon yourself to pay for the cuts as well.
First, would like to say the haircuts were good other than a crooked Mohawk lining in the back. But, that was an easy fix with household clippers. The main issue was the amount of profanity allowed by a customer especially while young children were clearly present. Not one barber said anything about the bold letter sign that read, “NO PROFANITY”. Cuss words were used here and there too by them. Would love to give my money to a black business but if they don’t respect their own rules and customers who knows what else a child might have to witness there. We wonder as adults why kids are doing unacceptable things? Well because they mimic what’s in front of their face. The environment their exposed to doesn’t help either if no good role models are present. 1st impression is everything and I can’t allow my kids to experience that when it could have easily been solved. However, thank you for the short wait time and service! To the owner, as an African-American myself I hope to see your establishment prosper. Hope that this feedback will not be overlooked but taken as constructive feedback to weed out things that can potentially bring down your ratings. As Al Green would say, “Love, Peace & Happiness!”
Good service and came out looking clean
Great cuts and friendly Barbers
Great service from Mike! My first time to a barber since moving to LA, wonderful job and professional Barber. Thanks a bunch.Chef John
I sent my 18yr old and 14yr old for very minor haircuts today. The barber refused to listen to how my sons wanted their hair cut. Stayed he works at taking off bulk etc - we didn’t ask you to take off “bulk” - you were asked for a simple temple taper fade and couldn’t wrap your head around it. We will NEVER use this shop again as they have ZERO customer care or service nor professionalism.
