Having alterations done here is a pain. Whenever I walk in here the woman working the front desk always says Okay, hold on just a second honey in the most condescending tone as if Im at fault for just using their business. Shes extremely apathetic. I had some shoes restored here within the last two years which took almost a month despite them saying itd be about two weeks. While that wasnt on a deadline, most recently I had them take an inch off of a suit for me for a wedding which I specifically told them the date I would need it by. The woman told me it would be ready 5 days ahead of then. That day came, and I didnt get an email saying that my coat was ready. I then waited a few days and still heard nothing. I finally went in with my receipt that told me my order would be ready a few days earlier, and she apathetically told me it wasnt ready yet. I told them I would need it the next day, and to their credit they did speed the process along so I could get it in time, but it was still a full five days late. Thats just careless. Im lucky to not be like some of the other poor folks in these reviews who didnt even have their wedding attire same day. The only reason I give them one star is because their dry cleaning isnt that bad and its affordable. But if I need any alterations in the future, Ill be taking my business elsewhere.

A pen exploded in my pocket and left some really deep stains on my shirt. I was really happy that they were able to get all of the stains out. In fact, the shirt looked better when I picked it up than when I got it from the store. This place does great work at a great price. Highly recommend!

Customer service is always top notch, I have enjoyed talking with Luke. He is always able to check on the status of my dry cleaning and even had our business delivery done on a Saturday to accommodate me one time when they typically only drop off/deliver on Tue and Thu. I highly recommend them, shirts are always pressed and cleaned well.

Closes early but does a good job. I tried to pick this up during the week at 5:58 and they locked the door and refused to open. Someone else was waiting too. I came back Saturday and everything looked good. Actually followed request unlike Cleaner World.

I brought my shoes there for repair in early June 2015. Between late June & August, I had placed multiple phone calls and visited a few times about the shoes only to be informed that the shoes had not arrived yet and they would call me when they were in.In September, with still no contact, I went in to check on my shoes and an employee finally told me that the shoes had been lost. He made a phone call to someone about the situation and then told me that I would be contacted later.I was never contacted by anyone. Some time after September they changed owners, as I was told when I reached out to context them AGAIN. The new owner, Richie, replied, and I told him about the situation. He told me he was discussing it with the previous owners. After going back & forth for another few months, he told me he had gotten what he needed and to give him my info for replacements.I have not heard from him since, despite my trying. Repeatedly. After being more than patient with both owners I finally replaced the shoes myself. These were not fancy, designer shoes, just ordinary nursing clogs. It is frustrating for me that I had to spend almost 5 times more than I originally planned, not to mention all the time I had to reach out to them for something they should contact me about when it occurred. While I find it appealing that there is an Eco-friendly cleaners & repair shop in town, I cant recommend them due to their poor customer service and follow through.

The cleaning and pressing of the clothes is pretty good. However, the experience around picking up the dry cleaning is consistently bad. When you drop off clothes you are given a specific date they will be back for pickup. This is even written on the receipt. However, quite often I have arrived back at that time and they clothes are not yet back from wherever they are cleaned. Sometimes, even the following day they arent back. Yesterday the clothes were finally back, but they couldnt find them for quite a while. Apparently they have been having problems with the scanning system (?) And yet they just raised prices last week. I wont go back.

I dropped off a pair of shoes (designer, leather boots) to have the entire sole and heel replaced in the beginning of September. They were sent off to a company in TX. A few weeks later I went to go pick up the shoes and only the heels were done. Frustrated, I asked how on earth this could of happened (at this point, I was a month in waiting for my shoes). They told me they were going to send them back and have it done express. Which I appreciated! Mistakes happen. However, MULTIPLE times, I was told they would be back in (I had to continuously call them and stay on top of them), and the shoes never showed up. I was told they switched to a new, local, cobbler and they would be back soon. I am now working with the new supervisor, Ricky, to try and get my shoes done before a Thanksgiving trip in TWO weeks. I was told they were getting sent off to be done on multiple occasions, but I now have come to find out they totally dropped the ball, lied to me, and told me they were getting done (when they werent...they were sitting there in the shop!!! THE WHOLE TIME). Im hoping and praying they get done in time before my trip, because at this point (and by the time I finally get them back) it would of taken 2 1/2 months to get my shoes back. Ricky has called me multiple times to try and straighten this total mess out, owning up to the total mishandling of the situation (thank you for some FINAL honesty!) But, unfortunately, I would NOT recommend bringing anything to them. Its just not going to get done.

Can I give a zero? I dropped off boots to be polished and have a button replaced. Took almost a month to get them back (which was ok) but the first time I wore them after getting them back, the button falls off. I take them back on Nov 2nd and was told it would only take about a week. I went in a week later to find out they had just been sent out. Went back a week after that and they still have not returned. Here we are after Thanksgiving and am still bootless and they still have not been returned. I will share my experience with everyone I see and speak with. I will not return and will warn everyone of the terrible experience I’ve had. Don’t offer shoe repair if you can’t deliver quality and timely service. You may outsource but this makes YOUR company look bad!!!

I have given this Dry Cleaner 4 chances to deliver quality service and they have failed. The first time, even though I had a ticket for 14 pieces, I only received 13. The 2nd time they split my delivery order and sent 1/2 my order to Boone and other half to Blowing Rock. The third time they marked one of my shirts as stained but I could plainly see it was scorched by them as I do not own an iron. This last time we specifically asked the attendant to make sure clothes were to be picked up in Boone and would they be ready on a Thursday AM. She agreed. I went to pick up, and were not there but was assured would be there in afternoon. I went back in Afternoon and was told clothes were delivered to Boone Pharmacy. He said he would have driver bring to Boone Shadowline location in the AM. I came back the following week and clothes were never delivered but were at Pharmacy in Blowing Rock.I just cant rely on them so am switching cleaners.

Dropped off a pair of blue jeans for a seam to be re stitched together. Took 3 weeks for the jeans to be finished. The original ticket given stated they would be ready on the 21st, 7 days after drop off. After calling to check on the status of the jeans, I was rudely told that I was wrong and they were going to be ready on the 25th. After going in on the 26th to get the jeans I was told they had lost my “women’s jeans” (I am a man) and after calling 5 times to track them down I was told they were found at the store after all. Incredibly rude and awful customer service. Each time we walked in to go get the jeans they never would go look in the store for the jeans. Just would sit there and say they must be lost. Absolutely will not be back. Should have went to cleaner world all along.

Can I give it zero stars? Originally, they said my shoe repair would be done within the week. Three weeks later, they are finally back at the shop, and I was told that there was nothing they could do about it.

The absolute worst. Rude, indifferent customer assistance at the counter. They initially lost my shirts, then found them forcing me to make a second trip for shirts I needed the next day. Then, I get there and there’s a sign they are closed to go to the bank. Seriously!!! Btw, the first time I went to get my cleaning they had closed early. About 5 when they’re supposed to be open till 6. Unfortunately I can’t give them zero stars.

What an incredibly awful experience. Two weeks with a bridesmaids dress and its not ready.the date on the receipt was over a week ago. Now... The day before we leave its still not ready! This means instead of being excited Im worried I have to go spend big money on a new dress?!?! Last minute before having to leave in the morning a trip to town hoping to god its actually there and its not some delay tactic. Like so many service oriented things in Boone, if youre used to living in larger cities, you come to expect quality and promptness and find not just a shortfall--but like epically bad and backwards service. The only other dry cleaner is just as awful and unreliable it seems. What a total screw up this place is. Northern dry cleaners looking for a nice place to live, come show these backwards idiots how a real business works.

WOW!!! $2.49 per pound to do wash, dry, and fold laundry. I have had wash & fold laundry done from California to Maine and this was the most expensive ever. For that price you could almost throw away the dirty clothes and buy new ones.
