It’s a nice starter apartment and great that utilities are mainly included. The staff is kind as well. However, a lot of everyday things in the apartment fall apart. For example, when i first moved in it was not cleaned and things like the shower head and towel rack had already come completely out of the wall.
Over the last year Ive really enjoyed living at Turtle Creek West. The apartment was spacious and had very few maintenance issues. There was always ample amount of parking for residents but would occasionally run out of guest parking spaces. The apartment is relatively far from campus but the Appalcart stops right out front of the complex. This place is very dog friendly as they have two onsite dog parks on each side of the complex. Most residents appear to have a dog of some kind.Im a huge fan of the elevators in the complex. Living on the 4th floor would have been a nightmare without it. They keep the elevators very clean and the entire year I lived here, it didnt break down once in contrast to all the other elevators in Boone. All the residents in the complex also got free access to the lifetime fitness in Boone and access to them anywhere else in the world. This was a great amenity as the lifetime fitness wasnt far from the complex. The only negative thing about this complex is the lack of onsite management and just the management staff in general. The staff are very communicative about information happening with the complex but when it comes to responding to your questions, they have a tendency to not respond. My apartment had 2 noise complaints filed on us by our neighbor, Karen, but the office did not give us a formal option to contest the complaints. The complaints were directed at us incorrectly as they were meant to go to a different neighbor and when we contacted the staff, we received no response or confirmation.
