Great cut but needs to ask every customer if they want style instead of just assuming and rushing em out door

Walked in because my motel is close and had already read reviews said people had just walked in and had good service well both ladies setting in chairs with no customers and tell me they could make me appointment for next day they dont accept walk ins!!!!!????

Well the workers were nice but they were new & I know everyone has toearn but !! It wasnt good. :)

Could have been quicker with me

I’ve been coming to smart style for over a year and Jessie has done my hair. She’s done an excellent job!!!Also the new manager Melissa does my hair, also excellent. This last time she cut and styled it, I was amazed. I have thin fine hair so we talked about hidden layers and it turned out beautiful😊👍. If you go, ask for either one, they’re Awsome !!!

I went in for a perm because my hair had grown out and it had been 6months. One of the stylist came out, pawed at my hair, then told me it was too damaged to perm. This happened right at the front desk where people were coming in and out at the entrance. I have beautiful curls. There just grown out. My hair is healthy. I knew she just didnt want to do it so she tried to tell me what I really needed. I asked her what she recommended and her response was COLOR. To offset the damage. Are you serious... She also told me that not everyone can afford the damage on their hair. This once again was implying that my hair was too damaged!!!!!! If I could attach a photo of my hair I would because she was completely wrong. My aunt had a perm for 10+ years! I believe that she either had no idea how to do one or she was just being lazy. Either way I walked away holding back tears from my embarrassment. The worst part about it was that her presentation to me was that she was doing me a favor? I would have had a better chance of getting a goat to do a backflip than to make her understand that she was ignorant. So I had to stand there and listen to all the reasons why my hair was damaged. She should have just said that she didnt have confidence in her abilities to do a perm the right way. But instead of the professional approach, she insulted and embarrassed me.

I really enjoyed my time at this salon. My hairdresser was Julie and she gave me a perm. She was friendly and made the experience enjoyable. I will return to her again. The other hairdressers were equally enjoyable and friendly.

Everyone knocks Smart Style because they are inside of Wal-Mart, but these ladies are legit hair stylists and so far every one of them has done amazing jobs with getting my hair the way I like it...

This place is hit and miss. One of my daughters got exactly the haircut she wanted. My other daughter and myself had our hair really messed up. At least most of it is long enough to hide in a ponytail. They can do a straight cut right but anything else and you will get mixed results. They also spent the entire time working on my hair complaining to each other about the customers they dont like. I should have saved my money and cut my hair at home myself, at least then I would get better results.

Terrible service, and they dont bother showing up sometimes to your scheduled appointment. I would highly recommend going elsewhere. This place is a joke.

My first time EVER getting my hair bleached. When i got in there i told them i wanted a colorful ombre. They offered something else and I thought thats how she meant she was going to blend the top. Turns out she was only going to bleach BITS AND PIECES OF MY HAIR. Like highlights!!! I HATE highlights. Then to begin with, if my mom wouldnt have asked what color i was going to get the lady assumed that i was just going with blonde when I said COLORFUL. Not yellow or blonde! Luckily we got that fixed. But after i told her she offered to bleach more but i didnt have that much time and so i just went with it, sadly. And after it was bleached and before we added color was when i got to finally look at. I do not like it at all. Then when she was putting the color in my hair she was literally tugging so hard at my hair that my head kept jerking back and i even said Ow and she didnt stop until we were almost done putting the color in my hair. So disappointed. ESPECIALLY SINCE I HAVE TO PAY SO MUCH FOR SUCH A CRAPPY JOB AND WASTE MY TIME FOR THIS. Im not a hair dresser. I didnt know what she meant or what she was saying.

Went in get a perm two weeks latter went back get style was not happy lady cut hair should say gaped my hair a d cut perm all out wow lady didnt need be cutting hair and she burnt my scalp with a hair dryer it hurt for week had scab top m 5th head people now says cant get in anymore ok re take sc hrs anyway .as y

Showed up at 6pm and was told there was no appts available until closing time. I thought they were set up to do walkins.

My hair tangles more now after a stylist decided to start at the top of my head to comb through tangles. Do they seriously not teach to start at the bottom anymore?
