I signed up for both Indoor/outdoor service and mosquitos service for my yard. After the initial service none of the issues were fixed, so I called again for them to come out. They did and treated the house again, now 3 weeks later, I still have the same issues with silver fish, ants on my front porch, and centipede. I called them again today to see if they were willing to resolve the issue and come out again and they said if they do come out there’s going to be another charge on my account. I had to cancel since their services did not work one bit. Also no sympathy over the phone. No apologies with regards to the fact that I spent almost $200 on nothing. Really bad customer service.Edit: I called them again cause on their website it says “guaranteed service” no timeline attached to that. And I got Sheryl who decided to be really rude over the phone and raised her voice, even though I was talking very calmly to her!I got a call back from Nick, apparently Sheryl had the wrong information and didn’t know what account I was on... still was very rude though. But Nick is going to send someone else out to fix the issue hopefully. This is the only reason I’ve changed my 1 star to 2 stars.

My borrower used Hansen Services for a termite inspection for a VA loan. They were quick to get the inspection done and went above and beyond to get us the necessary forms when we needed them. They always answer the phone promptly which isnt always the case when calling pest control companies so this is a huge plus. Will definitely use again in the future!

Hansen is great. Ive been on their home program for 2 years and Im very satisfied. We live on a lake so that naturally brings a lot of bugs our way. Ever since they have been coming out, our house is pretty bug free. On occasion, I will find a spider in the house and they respond very quickly. Just today, I saw a spider in the kitchen. I called them at 10am and they had someone out here by 1pm to spray. The customer service is really great. Im thoroughly satisfied and Im glad I can rely on a local company to do a great job!

Quick and the price is not bad

They were awesome and very informative. Due to the cold weather, he was unable to find the nest since the bees were dormant. Said we may not have a problem until the warmer weather next spring. I would definitely recommend them!

Great experience: We got the results we needed at a fair price with no pressure to sign a contract!Fuzzy bumblebees moved in below the siding next to our front door, which was fine. They are harmless and charming. But the bumblebees were evicted by wasps, who are neither harmless nor charming.They were copious and aggressive, so we couldnt use the front door. Commercially available sprays couldnt get into their nest, and we wouldnt dismantle the house to get them out.Cue the Internet research on local pest services who wouldnt charge an arm and a leg, wouldnt pressure us to sign seasonal contracts, or would deliver on what they promised without us repaying for additional visits.From the reviews on several sites, Hansen in Bolingbrook seemed like the best fit. I called and they had someone out within an hour! Sometimes, it takes practically that long to get from Bolingbrook to Plainfield!Even better, this wasnt some 18-year-old theyd taught to use a sprayer and thrown a logo shirt on. We got an experienced, knowledgeable professional who offered useful information without talking down to me or trying to create fear.He asked questions, explained the situation and the wasps behavior, and what he planned to do. Then, he treated the nest, let me know when I could expect the wasps to start dropping vs. when wed know if it had been 100% successful, and was able to leave in a relatively short time.Within the hour, the ground outside of the nest was littered with dead wasps. When I saw a few live ones that night, I wasnt worried since he had explained to me that the longer-acting agent would take care of that over time.Soon, we saw no wasps--and there had been a steady beeline (literally) for a few weeks. About a week after that, we found a wasp flying around in the basement right on the other side of the wall where the nest was.If wed used another service, I might have been mad about the treatment not working or worried about having to shell out more money. Because we chose Hansen, I had been told that the depth of the nest inside the wall meant the treatment might not get every single one and that they might try to get inside to get away from the treated area.I also knew that hiring Hansen meant they would come back out to retreat the nest in the same season if the first treatment wasnt totally successful, despite not having a contract.Yup. No worries. Thanks, Hansen.I called. They came back out at no cost to me. This time, the guy (different one, still great) treated it from the basement. (The previous professional had been willing to do that the first time around, but I hadnt seen any wasps inside at all at that point. I should have listened to him.)Total cost to me: Less than $100.How successful was the service? I waited to review Hansen until I was sure I could evaluate the long-term success of their work. They treated our home in the summer of 2016. Its now spring 2018 and there are still no wasps near the nest or in our house.If we run into a problem like this again, well call Hansen without any hesitation. We know that we will get good, efficient service at a fair price from a professional who is there to do a good job, not invoice as much as possible.Interestingly, when I originally called, the woman who I spoke with asked if I had been referred by another customer. I said I chose them due to reviews online. She seemed surprised, and I explained that looking at Google, Yelp, and a few other sites showed me that most of the people complaining seemed pretty unreasonable and that most customers had good experiences regarding results and price.Since these reviews helped me, I wanted to add mine to help people battling pests and to ensure Hansen will be there the next time I need them.
