It was pouring down rain. I came 30 minutes before closing. And they still made sure my tire was fixed. Took about 20 minutes but they did a great job. Really friendly and professional. One of the few tire shops that stay open past 7. 5/5 Id definitely return.

First time using Mavis services. Very competitive price compared to other places we checked (for replacement of back shocks on a Honda CRV-V). People were polite, took some time (about 2 hours), but less than we were told. The only real issue was that I had to pay $70 more that initially quoted over the phone (was told beforehand) for additional work to remove/put back struts. I would have assumed this would come when they check for the model of the car, but it seems not (can vary it seems). Not a big, didnt ruin the experience overall. Will return or recommend with no hesitation.

I went to Mavis tires and brakes looking for service on my car, Marlon helped direct me in the right direction. He took time out to show me what I needed on my car and explained the importance of the repairs needed. Driving in Florida, maintenance Is important because cars are needed every day. So when Marlon showed me what I needed, I decided to change my tires and get an alignment at the guidance of Marlon. Now my car drives as if its brand new and smooth. I had my front brakes and back brakes fixed . All my rotors replaced on my 2017 Chevy Traverse . The price was good compared to the dealers price. The wait within reason. I advise if you don’t have time drop your car off and pick it up later. The two gentleman in the front are very nice. I will be going back again to get my struts and shocks replace another time.

I was there today to replace a tire and get an oil change and the owner went above and beyond to make sure that I was happy and to make sure I went home safe as I had issues with another tire. I wasnt going to do the other tire today due to finances but he discounted the 2nd tire and I am very grateful. As a mom on a budget he really made my week. I had an incredible experience here. I can almost say that this place possibly saved my life.I had some aftermarket tires but never knew the damaged they were causing to the inner workings of my car. Not only that but they were on the verge of blowing out at any moment and I had no idea. I needed 4 rotors, 2 calipers, 2 axles of brakes and a new tire after I only came in for a brake special for 1 axle. I was tested by Anthony and he was more than professional with me. He walked me through everything that was wrong, showed me under the car as proof and gave me a detailed itemized bill. The total was $1,400+ and after some fantastic help with the credit card options available, I was able to walk out with all my issues resolved for even less than the original quoted price. Friendly with a good follow through . Called to reserve 4 specific tires and they followed through and had it shipped to them and ready for our appointment.We had all 4 tires replaced and alignment done which took 3 hours.The good thing about this location is that you can walk to federal highway which has a lot of little places.We walked to Mane coffee, sat down and enjoyed coffee and tea and by the time we were back they were done. Love it!Of course if you dont mind walking in the Florida heat that is haha or you could uber it.They did recommend a brake change which we know we didnt need but I guess all car shops do that.

Returned to this location as I was given good honest advice two years ago. Decided to go back as I needed replacement tires. Wanted to replace with similar OEM tires but was given an alternative that was better than what I had and was available and in stock. Decided it was a much needed purchase and the staff there was very helpful and informative. Apparently I needed tires sooner than I thought but glad to get a set of good quality tires that would perform better and last longer than my original tires. Before we were ready to leave my car was taken for a test drive and all was good. These replacements feel much more secure and smooth riding. I found a screw in my tire after not being in Florida for 1 year. I called 5 different tire store brands and found Mavis Discount Tire in Boca to be helpful on the phone and in person. I was in and out in a very short time.Will keep them on the must call list whether for a tire repair or purchase.

Got fast service but completely unsatisfactory. They only torqued the passenger side tires I HAD TO STOP ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD TIGHTEN THEM MYSELF THEN TORQUE THEM MYSELF WHEN I GOT TO MY SHOP. I COULD HAVE DIED THE DRIVERS SIDE WHEELS WERE SO LOOSE! They put my spare wheel on my car and the matching wheel in the trunk, they didnt straighten out my wheels like I stated needed to be done, they didnt check for issues, they wrote the current date and current mileage on the oil change sticker where it says next service due I DO NOT EVEN FEEL COMFORTABLE GOING THERE TO HAVE THEM SWAP MY SPARE WHEEL, or ACTUALLY STRAIGHTEN THE BENT WHEELS. On top of it I got the warranty on the tires... I dont even want to ever use that, because I swear I never want to go to this place again. On top of it the guy at the front desk just complained to me about his job the whole time I was waiting. If he wasnt complaining, he was asking his manager how do to basic job tasks. Completely disappointed. So disappointed I dont want to deal with them 5i fix the issues like I said. Just. Ridiculous, its like no one wanted to do their job!

On a long trip and had a blowout along the highway, changed into temp spare tire and just made it to Mavis less than 30 minutes before closing. They had multiple options in stock and had us in and out in about 20 minutes. Sensors were reset and spare and jack were neatly tucked back away into compartments where they belonged. Not the prettiest place from the outside, but in my experience, it was a courteous, clean and tightly run shop. Nice guys. They were life savers.

The visit went well up to the point when leaving and receiving the invoice that did not describe the mileage warranty and being told there is not one! What?, you told me 40,000! Oh, sorry sir, because the front and rear tires are different sizes on your car, we cannot rotate therefore the mileage warranty is void. Are you kidding me? I was told I had a warranty! Oh sir, this is common practice in the business. Why wasn’t I told? Again sir, we apologize but this is standard practice. Horrible service and deceptive selling! Stay away from this place.

Took my car in to fix a slow leak in my tire. The nail didnt puncture my tire so they just removed the nail and didnt charge me anything. Very honest and their prices already beat competitor prices. Highly recommend.

My Jaguar’s check engine light came on and wouldn’t drive over 10 mph, so I brought it to Mavis in Boca. After fearing the worst, I received news that everything is fine and the cars computer just needed to be reset. They could have told me anything and I’d believe it but they were honest and only charged a small diagnostic fee. Really appreciate the time and honesty! Thank you!

Stay away from these people unless you like being lied to and ripped off.My wife purchased 4 new tires from here back in August of 2020 so we are well within our warranty (by over 10k miles too). My wife had a tire fail on her and they did not honor the warranty. In my opinion the tire looked like it failed due to a defect. There were no foreign objects in or out of the tire and there were no abrasions from impact. It wasnt just some hole either; it was an irregular and jagged split from the outer edge leading down the sidewall. I questioned the possibility of a defect and the response from the managers own mouth was that manufacturer defects can only happen within the first few weeks. That is an absolute lie and when I challenged him on it, he walked away from me and told me that he was done dealing with me.A little about me, I had spent many years working in a tire shop as well as regular shops as a mechanic; I know an ambiguous situation when I see one and this was one of those cases. These guys could absolutely have aired on the side of good faith and at least used a pro-rated warranty claim to replace the tire at no risk to themselves or their shops integrity. Instead they took the low road and took advantage of my wifes ignorance, forcing her into another tire at full price (unfortunately I was not there for the initial transaction).Also worth noting that we had a puncture repaired on a different tire a couple of months back from a screw that we happily paid their full price for so Im not so foolish as to think we deserve a free ride for every nuance we encounter.Another fact is that when we initially come in to purchase these tires, we had already created an estimate using their website but when we got into the store, they tried to charge us a higher bottom line price per tire until I pulled up their advertised price on my phone. There were no stipulations on size/model/dates etc that would have affected the price, they just tried to rip us off. I should have turned around then but I made the mistake of assuming positive intent on their part.TL;DRThese guys will rip you off if you let them.

Mavis showed a tire in stock as a selectable option to purchase. So a set up a time 3 days later to get them installed selecting the tire. When i wanted to look further the tire it was suddenly no longer showing up...so i called in. they told me it was discontinued. So long story short, they tried to get me to come into the door with an appointment where I then would get any other tire. when i called them and asked them to help me or work out a fair solution, the guy who answered the phone said i could call his warehouse and speak with them (?) like they are gonna believe some random phone call versus their tire center phone operator. As I was saying I was disapointed with that, I was hung up on.Good luck staying business in an already crowded market with that customer service and rudeness. for those considering them, i would double check the tire you select with your appointment is actually in stock...otherwise they are just trying to get you there to be pressured into some other (likely more expensive) option.

Had a tire blow out and couldnt use the spare because did not have wheel lock key to get the lug nut off. Was able to get car to Mavis and they worked quickly and got the wheel lock off and replaced the tire. Thank goodness for them since its New Years Eve and they are still working. Customer service is top notch. I highly recommend them.

What a pleasant find!I needed a tire pressure sensor for a 2016 Mercedes c 300. Local chain stores quoted me from $125 to $189.I called Mavis. Quoted me $115. I asked “can you do even better”? He said $100.I brought it in this morning without appt. I expected just to come in and make appt.Marlin took me in right away. Took them under 30 minutes which was also unexpected.Price was $85!What a great place working with the consumer.They now have me as a new customer. They treat the customer right.

I’m a young girl in my 20s and I was terrified to go to a new place to get my car checked out because I always get scammed. I went to Mavis because I thought my brake pads might need replacing. I got there and they checked it out and they pulled me aside and said nothing was wrong and they weren’t going to charge me at all. I was astounded by the level honesty and was grateful that they explained to me why I might be hearing some squeaking. Great experience, would definitely recommend!!!

At the very end of my day my battery decides to act up and I began to call around for the best deal. Spoke with the manager at Mavis and he said bring it in and well make sure its the battery and not something else. Not only did the price sound reasonable, the customer service was on point. I arrived an hour before closing in hopes they werent done for the day, and closing down the shop. Customer service from all the technicians there, continued to be on point. My battery is in a bad spot under the hood and they had to remove all kinds of parts to get to it and in no time, the job was completed with a smile. I shall return for any of my car services and will recommend to others.

Had a bad experience at the deerfield location. Came to the boca location. Had a much better experience . They fixed my problem and also were more honest about the rest of my car. Machanic was very friendly. Marlin the manager took care of me. He was absolutely fabulous! I didnt have to wait 4 hrs this time or have constant problems or be lied to as well as have the price changed on me 3 times. I definitely recommend asking for Marlin. Wonderful man. I went to 2 others close to my hotel - Firestone and Tire Kingdom - who couldnt help me in an urgent situation because they were closing soon even explaining that I had surgery schedule the next morning and would not be able to attend to my car for several days. ZERO COMPASSION FROM THEM! But when I called Mavis, the first 6 words were music to my ears How soon can you get here. Talk about compassion! I brought the car in and it took 20 minutes for them to fix the hole in the tire. In a highly stressful situation as it was, they truly showed care and consideration! Updated review, original was positive:They have installed a longer wipers than needed. I didn’t know that (and I’m a novice driver), I’ve only noticed when I was driving in a poring rain to airport and suddenly my driver’s side wiper went flying away in the middle of the road while it was heavy raining!! I had to find nearby store to buy and install new wiper. I didn’t expect that happening because I trusted Mavis, I’m now looking for another Auto Service. Unfortunately, wouldn’t trust them 100%.
