I never write reviews but these folks are terrific. Warranty work on my suitcase was completed perfectly in half the time they estimated, and they removed a fresh-but-deep food stain from a fine leather shoe to the point where it looks new. Nice people too! Highly recommend.

I searched for a new shoe repair business to repair a zipper on my laptop bag since our place moved or went out of business. Found Hillman’s and I will be back. The owner was prompt, courteous, and helpful!

Well, Im not impressed with the professionalism of the ownership and I have not yet visited the shop. I simply placed a phone call to see if they could help me and the message on the phone seemed angry, stressed, and did not tell me whether or not I should leave a message. It did say that they were still there to support those of us in the airline industry but it didnt say when they could be there to help or even answer our questions. So far, they get a D for professionalism. They called me back the next day only to tell me how to call TravelPro and order the parts myself.

AMAZED... the shop reminds me of a classic, local biz, kinda like an old-time barbershop - a random collection of memorabilia and other stuff, but most importantly - friendly people. With a Saturday afternoon drop-off, the repair on my TravelPro Crew 10 bag was promised mid-week. I was amazed to get a call Monday afternoon saying the bag was repaired and ready for pick up. The repair work is great and unnoticeable! Thank you!

Recently, I lost some parts on my Travel Pro Crew backpack. Since the bag is over ten years old the folks at Travel Pro headquarters could not help me as they had no parts for a bag over 10 years old. At the end of my road I reached out to Hillman’s Luggage to see if they could help. On contact the owner confirmed the parts for my bag were long since discontinued. However, Rick told me he would check around to see if anyone had my obsolete parts. In about a week Rick responded that he found my parts and sent them to me for free. Talk about customer service, this business and owner went wayyyy out of their way to help me. Outstanding customer service!!

Redid a zipper on an awesome backpack that I really hated to replace. (As a matter of fact, another one quickly came and went before Hillmans was recommended to me.)

Horrible if you want bag restored and rehabbed. I wanted a bag rehabbed and restored and redyed if possible. First they told me theyd have to strip the leather, then dye etc. I called in a week or so to not to redye but they told me they had a color match. It was far from a match. Not only that, they made no attempt to rehab or restore the leather. I gave them a pink bag and when I went to pick it up it was orange like a pumpkin. They didnt even clean the bag. Just put polish straight on top of the bag! If you have a vintage bag and value it whatsoever, do not take it to them. They do not know what restore and rehab mean!

Stellar. The way it should be. The owner is prompt, honest, and excellent at what he does. This kind of business is sadly disappearing.
