The staff and side are incredibly friendly, And I dealt with, I believe his name was Ryan, with getting a passport. He was helpful, polite and quick. Phone service is dreadful. If you didn’t have good staff inside, I would say you couldn’t care less about your customers. It’s ridiculous.

I am generally a fan of postal workers, they have difficult jobs and the service that the post office provides is complex and important. In the past 6 months I have had 2 valuable packages completely disappeared from the postal system in Bloomington. Why is this happening and who is doing it? Filing out forms for stolen/lost packages is a nightmare, and trying to be compensated for the money is even worse, not to mention the disappointment of never receiving something that you waited for. It is hard or me to accept that someone is behind this but if there is please stop. You are hurting people.

I asked to speak to a supervisor about our carrier. No one available so the person who works at the desk came out to take my report. I gave them my number but they have YET to call me back. I dont work for the USPS but my carrier must think its my job to deliver mail. I have received a package of checks that belonged to a neighbor. Packages are left at my door without a knock or just a light tap. I receive magazines and packages for othersin my apartment buildings box. 47401 delivery and workers suck right now!

Normally the service is fine, but today the staff was a bit rude. Apparently they told me to move to the other side of the table at some point, but I didnt hear them. Then, when I did move to the other side of the table, they started talking about me within earshot, Oh look, she finally moved to the other side. I guess she can follow directions she just doesnt want to. I understand complaining about customers, but at least have the decency to wait until they cant hear you. If they had tried to get my attention and asked me to move, I would have happily done so. But instead, they assumed I was purposely defying their directions and thought it was better to be snarky instead of being helpful.

This place is a pos. Got an overnight guarantee delivery of my package for 12pm on the 31st. Here in Texas its now 1247 on the 2nd and nothing and cannot get in touch with anyone. If you cant stick to your word dont give a guarantee.

What a frustrating experience. 4 people standing behind the counter doing absolutely nothing- no business happening, but they won’t help us with a passport update because you have to set up an appt online. Can we make appt for right now since you aren’t busy? No.

Always seem to have a pretty long line, so make sure you allow yourself plenty of time if you need to come by here for anything. Parking is also somewhat limited.

He didnt delivery our package for no reason.He parked and then wrote the notices put in the mailbox and then left.Check on the website siad no secure place to delivery.WOW lie lie lie.We watching him the whole time.He put everything else in the box.But too LAZY to get out to drop to the bigger package.

I set an appointment for a passport for my child and I. I arrived exactly on time for my appointment only to be told I had to wait in line. When I get to the counter the blonde counter worker with a face shield rolled her eyes and said well its not 12 is it? It was 12:07 because I had to wait in line.After the workers tried to find the designated passport counter person the same blonde counter person snarkily said I guess I HAVE to do it and after being incredibly unhelpful about what paperwork and information was needed I just decided to leave. Picked up my kid and walked away and heard her say Good can I go on lunch now?So apparently lunch time is more important than treating people with respect or the barest amount of kindness.

Friendly service. Needs more bike racks. There are dozens of car parking spots and only enough room for 1-2 bikes. Was a pain to get mine out when someone had to lock theirs over mine because no where else to park.

I have utilized USPS a fair bit. I previously used the Woodbridge location, because it was so convenient having my packages picked up regularly, but ever since January I have found the routing of packages to be consistently more reliable at this south walnut street location. I think its because some of the clerks who sort packages moved over in January. I do like both locations, but I like dropping my stuff off here more for the time being.

I ship about one-third of the packages for my business from this Post Office. The counter staff is always friendly and calm.Having access to the shipping terminal in the main lobby is super-handy if the line inside is backed up.Plenty of counter space to finish packaging my goods.

Always long lines cause there short staffed on the south side. And none of them answers the phone. Staff is nice but its just ridiculous that you cant staff correctly. So why not make everyones life easier including the workers who have to put up with all the bad mouths that come in and just move the customers quickly.

Maintenance is a joke. We had to have the lock to a mailbox changed because the former tenants took their keys, so I gave the maintenance guy an address and told him the boxes at the far end of the property, he changed the box in the middle of the property, with a completely different address written on the inside of the box.After a few days of phone tag with the manager, they finally agreed not to charge us for having the second set (one that we originally requested) changed.Then the post office gave us the wrong set of keys for the mailbox once they finally fixed it. The maintenance guy insists (just by looking at the top of the key) that they have not used this type of key in 3 years, even though neither the office key nor the residents key shows any sign of wear. He probably gave us an old set knowing that we would have to have the locks changed again, and that he would be able to charge us for that.

They dont even knock the door . The put the notice at mail box. I pick up my stuff the next day in the morning. At afternoon, they gave me another notification that I need to pick up the stuff or return back to the sender. So, its very obvious that driver didnt carry my stuff and too lazy . They just put the notice at my mail box and hoping that the customer can pick up by them self. Come on,man. Do your job. I have surveillance camera to prove that you never knock the door

Absolutely terrible. Snarky, sarcastic employees who are less than helpful. Currently crying in he parking lot because of how hateful the three women were when I printed the wrong label for a return. They were not extremely busy, however continued to raise their voices to me over the counter while other customers stared. Yelling at me saying “it’s like returning something to target that you bought at Walmart” while waving hands, eventhough I had explained that it is an amazon product that offers either way to return. I asked the clerks name she waved her hand over her name tag saying “it’s right here honey.” (Stephanie, by the way). As I’m walking out they all sarcastically shout “merry Christmas” and “happy new year!” I will never do any business here. I work for a very well known company that is statewide, if I treated a customer this way (which my customers are the community, very likely you someday) I would have been punished or even fired. This location is an embarrassment for the town of Bloomington, glad I have other options. Would love to share my experience with someone, maybe after they watch footage of their employees behavior. But if the leadership is a reflection of their employees, it’s pointless

Absolute worst!! I have been living at my current address almost a year and all of a sudden my mail stops. I call the post office to let them know I havent been receiving mail for at least 3 weeks and had to open a case. Someone finally returns my call and leaves a voicemail message to tell me I have to fill out a green card because they have nothing showing I was at that address and the leasing office didnt give them any update that a new tenant was moving in. It is impossible to reach someone at their phone number because no one ever picks up and I have been waiting for a return phone call over 3 days now. Unnecessary frustration!

The employees helping are always polite and friendly, but the lines are always long no matter what time of day you come. Not enough people up front and one always seems to be tied up doing passports. If you have the time, no big deal. If youre in a rush, try the eastside or Ellettsville.

Too angry right now to even write about this. ABSOLUTELY horrible service from the 800 number (waiting for 1 hour) to being told incorrect information to being told incorrect information again to having my boyfriend have to wait in line TWICE for no reason whatsoever. So glad I paid $40 to have something overnight shipped to not get it for two days.

In defense of the long waits and lack of answered phones, THEY ARE EXTREMELY SHORT-STAFFED. Yes, its frustrating to stand in line for ten minutes. Yeah, its annoying to call multiple times to get a hold of someone. That is just how it is though. If you want quicker service and enough staff that someone can grab the phone faster, go apply for a job and work for them. Help them speed it up yourself. Its not the staffs fault that their older employees are dying/retiring and no one is filling the ranks. They dont need to hear your belly-aching about the lack of open windows and extra people. Trust me, they know all about it.All that aside, Ive had nothing but good experiences here and at the Woodbridge office. Polite staff working their hardest to get everyone helped as smoothly as possible. I never go without anticipating a wait. Hopefully things will turn around and they can hire more staff to make everyones, including their, lives easier. Keep up the good work, folks.

I have been a poshmark seller since 2013, I have purchased items online and send/receive items from my mom who lives hours away. Why is it that half the time I buy/sell a package/piece of mail it doesnt always get scanned regularly? Are there not regulations for the carriers? How can you keep an eye on employee theft if youre not keeping track of the packages they have vs what gets delivered and what doesnt. Because not scanning a package means it doesnt get tracking updates (also means the person carrying it at the time is unknown bec they dont scan it) Im an interior designer and feel like I could run a shipping business better than usps....and their the UNITED STATES POSTAL OFFICE. SO tired of having to wait 1-2 hours on hold for any customer service in Indiana only to still now know where or when my package will arrive because the carriers dont update the scans!! Love our main carrier in our neighborhood, clearly it CAN be managed he does it....why cant everyone else?

Had 2 day delivery put on an item for a trip out west, paid 12 freaking bucks for the rush. Delivery went fine till Bloomington postal service took over and failed to deliver the package to my door citing that I wasnt home...I was in fact home. These people suck.

Ive never had a po box where I couldnt get my mail 24/7 on my time. I went to get my mail only day I could and they were locked up. Every state every po box I had they locked doors to area where counter is and boxes open to public if Id have known this in advance I never would have rented here!

Its a joke to put the phone number on here. Nobody answers the phone. Ive tried calling for 45 minutes straight and no answer. And if you try the 800 ASK USPS, theres no way to talk to a person. I guess the USPS isnt too concerned about providing customer service other than actually going to the Bloomington post office in person.
