Wray Automotive is amazing! I recently discovered their full service automobile mechanic business and am so excited that I did. I went for an oil change and they did an overall safety check noting two items that didnt need fixed yet, but they offered to partner with me to keep an eye on them. Very friendly, kind, knowledgeable, and professional humans with 2 equally wonderful dogs welcoming you when you arrive. I highly recommend Wray Automotive! Thanks for being awesome!

A piece from my gear shift fell off and needed it fixed immediately and went to Wray and they ordered the piece for me right then and there and fixed it for me on the spot. Super friendly staff and great service!

I cannot recommend Wray Automotive enough. They were detailed with the quote and helpful and informative in their explanations. They were also very honest about what repairs were needed for my car. I ended up paying $2000 less than a dealership quoted me because Wray found that several parts on my car actually did not need repairs. I am very happy and impressed with their work and service and will definitely take my car here again.

I had my car towed to this place for emergency surgery on a shifter that was acutely not functional. They could not source the part required and sent me off to find a compatible replacement, which was okay in my book. They also did not want to do any other work on my car, which was also okay. Which was not okay was that they charged me +100$ for reading codes off the ECU, which I had already done and in fact told them what the codes were as I turned the car in. They did no further work regarding these codes and and offered no solution what so ever. For that extra 100$ they charged me they are not getting any more business from neither me nor anyone I know. No other shop in town charges that much for reading codes. World Wide Auto is a good alternative and better option in my humble opinion.

Super service! Got us in the same day we called. We had only one repair planned, but they were generous enough to schedule in more for the same day after we mentioned some issues we were having. Wasnt planning to get the car back for 3 days, but they got it done the next day! Prices were reasonable, and I believe they got us the highest quality parts that were also affordable.They gave us suggestions for future repairs we would need that they found while working, but didnt pressure us to address them at this time. They let us know what was urgent or necessary, and what could wait. They made sure to give us estimates before making any decisions. Very patient, honest and upfront staff!Not to mention the two cute and sweet dogs that are eagerly waiting to greet all customers! I felt very comfortable throughout the whole experience, and I definitely plan to return for all future needs. First auto shop Ive been too in a long time that I would give return business to. Went in to have some fluids changed and flushed but needed some work done to keep it from a serious breakdown. Answered all of my questions in a friendly manner. They couldnt get it done same-day but after telling them I worked 3rd shift they had it done the next morning! The last place I went for repairs they took over a week and acted bothered when I came back to have my lug nuts torqued.

I had a wonderful experience with Wray Automotive! I called on Monday, requesting a full inspection and wheel alignment. They scheduled me for Wednesday morning, and said it would be done by the end of the day. On the day of, I dropped the car off, and they were extremely polite and professional!Side note: they have two dogs behind the counter who are SO well-behaved! They were so sweet. :D The dogs made the experience even better.I returned home, and got a call an HOUR later saying it was ready. They were so quick! Unfortunately, I had to go to work so I couldn’t pick up right away. When I got caught up at work, I called and said I might be late. They were very understanding, and even stayed after they closed just so I could get my car same-day!I will DEFINITELY be coming back here for my auto needs. 10/10 would recommend

They diagnosed my bad starter, got the part, and replaced it all in the same afternoon! We never had to deal with the hassle of moving our kids’ car seats out of our van. Took my car in for check engine light and clicking noise. Wrays found nothing wrong, but advised replacing rear caliper, rotors and brake pads, at a great price. My car runs great and Ill use Wrays again for all my maintenance.

Very professional and nice guys who work there. I plan on going back again. Helped cut me a deal. Only thing is I forgot to tell them not to roll down my window and they rolled it down. So now it wont go up. They did try to get it to go up but had no luck. I did get it up with some familys help so once I save up the money I will take it back there to be fixed.

I won’t take my car anywhere else. Fast and great service, and they won’t rip you off like other shops. I’ve had pretty major repairs done here as well as regular maintenance and it’s always a pleasant experience during what can be a very stressful situation. No more wasting time and money getting multiple quotes to make sure you don’t get ripped off! These guys do honest and quality work.

Highly recommend ! Excellent communication ! Made appointment after calling shop about 2012 Highlander. Gave us an idea of what costs may be and we were extremely pleased with cost and timeliness of repair. Completed repairs that were needed - took it in at 8AM they called at 345pm and said it was completed. Could not have been more satisfied and I will use Wrays for any future auto repairs. My IU students car started running rough and I couldnt drive to diagnose it. Through the phone I could tell one of the cylinders was missing. I found Wray Automotive through Google searches. It took a couple days to get an appointment, but they diagnosed a fouled spark plug from an oil leak on the valve cover. Clearly why it was missing. Chris provided clear communication and estimate. They were able to fix those issues in a day but noticed that the valve cover had a crack. Chris communicated with me about the extra issue they had found and I had them repair that. They also repaired a leaking coolant hose clamp for free. Very good experience and timely repair.

They replaced rusty steering components in my car and then aligned the wheels. Fair price, solid work, friendly staff, and a quick turnaround.

Chris and Sam are the nicest, most straight forward, talented guys in town. They helped me fix an O2 sensor and exhaust manifold issue on a 1996 Toyota Land Cruiser, and now she runs like new. They even kept all of the parts they took off and showed me exactly what was happening and why they fixed it. I couldn’t be more pleased with my service at Wray’s.

The folks at Wray Automotive are amazing. My daughter attends IU and I live in New Jersey. So I was connecting with them(Stephanie) via the phone from NJ. Honesty, honesty, honesty, honesty, honesty, I cant say it enough is an amazing quality to have in the repair business especially Automotive.They could have easily charged me for the diagnosis they performed but they didnt. They told me that the issue with my Mazda CX-9 is under warranty and I should bring it the the local Mazda dealership. Being from NJ I couldnt do that so THEY ACTUALLY DROVE MY CAR at No Charge to the Royal South Mazda Dealership. NOW THATS GREAT SERVICE. These guys are the best...My son was ready to come home after a rough covid year of school at IU. Car would not start and we had just replaced the battery. No clue what to do so I called Wray Automotive and spoke with Chris. He was totally up front and told me it may be a couple of days as they were backed up. Had the car towed there and they took a few minutes to look at it despite how busy they were. They determined it was a simple bad battery cable, replaced it same day and boom we had our car back that day. Chris even went out of his way to pick up my son so he could come get his car as he did not have a ride. What else could you ask for !!!! Never use anyone else if youre in Bloomington!!

My husband and I recently moved to Indiana, and at the time my car was not driveable. Upon leaving my previous residency, my mechanic had told me that my rear differential was falling apart and needed to be replaced (very expensive fix). I called several mechanics here in Bloomington in order to get price quotes. Some said they would call me back, and never did. Some were able to give me a quote for a brand new one, and others didnt even get that far and just quoted me what they thought it would cost (they were by far the most expensive). Wrays automotive took the time to call around and quote me the for just a used one with a warranty, and were very professional; despite it taking a few days- they continued to keep posted. I never felt like they forgot about me. Even better- when I got my car in, it turned out the other mechanics were wrong and I actually had issues with the center support bearing! Saved me a lot of money, were very professional and polite, and they did great work! My car drives like a dream again. My husband and I were relieved to have also found our mechanics for any future issues. Would highly recommend these guys!

A bad batch of diesel fuel caused havoc with my fuel system. The dealer wanted almost $5000 to fix. Wray fixed it for half that cost plus helped me determine that the diesel feul was bad. I have found my auto repair place for life!!! Thanks Wray Automotive

Called to see if serpentine belt replacement was an offered service and was hung up on without being replied to. Called back and my call was ignored. Guess those 4.7 stars aren’t a reliable representation of the customer service provided.

I selected five stars because there wasnt six. I wont go anywhere else! Wrays has gone above and beyond with my repair work. Working around my budget and getting me the biggest bang for my buck. Im not sure how they do it, but they do it.

They have worked on my vehicle a couple of times now, great turn around time and was able to get me in there within a reasonable time! Great diagnostics and professional quality work completed. I needed a hitch installed for my sedan for an upcoming move with a trailer. It was very difficult to find folks in Bloomington who could help with this particular hitch/car combination. The folks at Wray were very helpful, transparent, and really worked hard to get the job done by my move date. Very nice family business.

A friend referred me to Wray after I expressed frustrations with getting upcharged without permission at multiple other auto shops around town. The staff at Wrays is friendly and professional, and their services are reasonably priced. While working on an oil change, they also recommended an air filter replacement. Before performing the service, they called me to ask for my permission and noted the price, which was a breath of fresh air. I plan on returning to Wray for future car care services.

Ive been to Wrays several times from just an oil change to having my head gaskets replaced. They are fantastic! Best prices around and fastest oil change Ive ever experienced. Usually at the dealers Ive got to wait over an hour; but at Wrays Im in and out in under 30 minutes. It’s hard to find places that are reliable, trustworthy, and budget friendly. Wray’s definitely hits the nail on all of that. From reception to the mechanics you’ll be met with friendliness and good service. They communicated updates frequently, and completed the job in a timely fashion. The owner stopped me just before I was about to leave the lot to share some things about my car that he might be concerned about but didn’t try to pitch anything... just genuinely offering help. I am new to Bloomington so when my cars right wheel started making a screeching sound (suspected the wheel bearing) I took my car to a mechanic shop recommended by a coworker (I wont name this shop). I made an appointment, took my car there, and after they had it for 3 hours they quoted me $700 to replace the wheel bearing and some other related components.That seemed too expensive so I called around and ended up making an appointment at Wray Automotive. They were able to get me in within a week, and over the phone quoted me a much more reasonable price. They took my car right at 8am to try to get it repaired before I had to go to work. An hour after I took my car in they called and said it had just needed a loose nut torqued down to spec. It cost a fraction of what I had been quoted at the other mechanic shop and took 1/3 of the time.Overall fantastic experience and I will definitely be coming back should I have any other car issues in the future.

As a woman that knows very little about cars I often feel disrespected and intimated at automotive repair shops, but Wray Automotive treated me with respect and answered every question I had clearly. They called me when they discovered the problem and layed out all the possibilities of the fix. Then when they actually fixed it they were able to clean parts and save me money! The front lobby is clean and inviting. It was a great experience. I could not be happier! This was my first time at Wrays and I will definitely be doing all my future car maintenance here.

I was able to get my car in quickly. They reached out to me within a few hours when starting their day. It was very pleasant to talk both employees that contacted me. There was no pressure to have anything done to my vehicle.

I had a good friend whom took his vehicle into Wrays Automotive recently. First of all, his vehicle sat and was not even looked ar for over a week, they overcharged for the parts tremendously, did not finish the work that was said needed to be done but was paid for, and when he got his vehicle back, it ran just as bad as it did when he took his vehicle in.I am only placing this reveiw because I hate to see good decent hardworking people get ripped off, let alone that my friend takes care of his elderly mother, and this vehicle was the means to care for her.

We took our car in on Thursday after hours to have some extensive brake repair done. The work was finished by 3:30 the next day. They stayed in touch as work progressed, and the bill came in under the anticipated figure. These folks are skilled, friendly, and absolutely the best in my opinion. I will happily recommend them to anyone.

Very helpful staff. I needed new tires and they had new tires on my car along with balance/alignment in just a couple hours... I didnt even have an appointment. They have also done other things with my car and it has been done right every time and done quickly. Highly recommend this place for any assistance with your car.

Good people. Got me in on new years eve last minute. Had to take my car in a little while later and they fixed a large oil leak in the engine for a fair price. When I got my car back the speedometer wasnt working, which wasnt an issue before, and they fixed it free of charge and even drove me to work that day. Overall a good experience.

2015 Prius water pump replacement, in on one morning and out the next, charged me less than Googles lower end estimate for the repair. They were recommended by another mechanic in town so I guess customers and competition respect this shop!

Called this morning around 9. Got my car towed from Martinsville to Wray Automotive in Bloomington today. They were able to fix it today and addressed some other concerns with it as well. We have taken all 3 of our vehicles to Wray Automotive since they opened. In December, I took my car in set on getting a certain brand of tire and an alignment. Sam recommended another brand with a better warranty and better price. They always try their best to work you in if you didnt make an appointment ahead of time. We send all our friends and family to them.

We had a bolt get stripped on our vehicle and were needing to get it removed ASAP. We contacted an auto shop and they recommended us to one place. That place said that he was 5 weeks behind on work and that he wouldn’t be able to help us - and he recommended Wray automotive. We got the vehicle towed there, and they had the bolt removed the next day!

We will not use anyone else but Wrays! My husband has a Ford with a triton engine.. and Sam has never turned us away! It was towed in last night with a broken spark plug. I thought it was going to be a nightmare... Nope, Sam made it as painless as possible and got the job done in less than a couple hours!

Wise to request the original car part any mechanic replaces and to see the invoice of the purchased part to avoid being charged for NEW parts never replaced or replaced with a used parts. Most parts come with warranties and lifetime replacement guarantees. Such as brake pads for example.

They are honest . They dont overcharge or push unnecessary repairs.
