My experience was decent. Tow was fast and reliable. I was stuck an hour away, and they arrived about an hour after the call. I was going to have them replace my starter for me, but they seem to have a shortage of mechanics, and were not able to get to it fast enough for me as I need my vehicle to drive to work. Total time for me was about 2 hours to replace. Would have taken probably half at their shop. The in town tow, 4.5 miles, was a bit high at $103, but again fast and promt and not much higher than I expected. My total was about $430 for the whole ordeal. Guy was nice when picking me up. A little curt when dropping it back off, but I guess they were expecting to do some work on it.

We got a nail in our tire while driving through the area. Other chain tire shops wouldnt help us out. Called Stryker and they were able to help us out quickly so we could get back on the road. Would recommend if you have an emergency repair. Its slightly off the main road, look for the big black sign.

I took my truck to him and told him what was wrong with it then he just had to fix it. He tightened up the fly wheel bolts because they were loose and making a noise. I havent even drove it 1000 miles and its doing it again. When I told him he said he would look on the computer to see if it was a temporary fix. Who says that. I even let him do my lower ball joints to be nice. I could have done them my self. He charged 600 just for that. He told me to bring it in and he would get it done Friday because it would only take an hour to tighten bolts back up and use lock tight. So I had to pay to get a ride there and back and he didnt even fix it. So now iam out more money and truck isnt fixed. He even sounded hatful to me.

The guys over at Stryker are great! Helped my son with his truck, were very professional and quick with the job.. Ive also purchased tires and had them installed at the shop .. Again very professional and timely and beat competitors prices.. I highly recommend them!

Id rather not. When I say Id rather not, beside myself and feeling kinda hopeless about my car situations right now.Maybe I should explain. I and my mother took the car to them because it was saying engine power is reduced. It would shut off when we came to a stop light. When we get it back he said he fixed it by replacing the oil line and changing the oil n that the brakes would be ok for a while. 2 weeks later the brakes were screaming. So I had mom take it to midas by mistake because she thought it was tire n wheel. That ended up being a 900$ expense. I had no choice because i had to work the next day.Then also the very next day I went n started the car n it died again while in idle. So I thought maybe it was just a fluke. Then I got a call from my job to go to Bedford for a client. Im a caregiver so I felt compelled to do the shift. As soon as I get to the light in Bedford it dies and I played hell trying to get it started again. Its been acting up ever since. I gave up and went n got another vehicle because I ended up taking it to pomps tire n they told me the oil was 2 quarts low which didnt make since since I just had stryker put a new oil line n change the oil. Im giving up for now and taking it to the dealer. Im tired of spending money and not getting anywhere. I had to use all my vacation trying to figure this out and went in debt getting another vehicle so their goes my vacation for sure. Im just totally upset. If it wasnt for me getting such a nice vehicle I would be really depressed right now. I dont know what to think atm. Its reading different codes than it was before. Im starting to think Im cursed maybe. The warranty just ran out recently and everything seems to be going wrong with it. Now I have a new car payment n I still have to figure out how to get the other car fixed. Why? I should mention that I work 6 days a week day and night and have just 1 day to get things done usually because Im always working 💪. Now that I had to get another vehicle, I dont think I will ever get a real vacation n I wont be able to ever slow down. Oh well!

I called because I had a flat tire they told me they were probably wouldn’t use my donut so I assumed they were going to put on a whole new tire they charged me $75 just put my donut on

We had amazing service as we arranged help for my daughter remotely. She got a flat tire on the interstate 20 miles outside of Bloomington, in the dark. They were very quick to respond and communicate with me as we worked it out and ordered a new tire to match her set.

I had my vehicle worked on at Stryker and can safely say its been the best automotive service Ive ever received. After getting some news about my vehicle that seemed off, I felt it was best to get a second opinion. I asked around on social media and noticed that Stryker was overwhelmingly a lot of peoples favorites. Turns out the chain shop I had been to was both dishonest in what was wrong with my vehicle-what they claimed needed to be replaced was just a few months old-while also ignoring some very serious issues that they either missed or thought to put off until later. I was also quoted an extremely high amount for just the two items that are usually the cheapest to replace as well as for a job that only two tires required while the other two were fine. So at Stryker, I had all the issues of concern fixed, as well as some I didnt yet know about, repaired and for twice the work it cost about three fourths the amount. It took almost a week but they kept working to figure it out. The specifics of the work and what they did for me, I highly doubt any other place Ive been to would have done the same. I was about to start a job that involved medical transportation, and right now more then ever, having a vehicle was important. Otherwise I wouldnt have been able to accept that job or perform it. So I consider Stryker responsible for putting me in a position to obtain a job that helps others and in turn basically spared me a great deal of suffering and who knows what else during these uncertain times. I only wish I had come here sooner!

I stopped by to take pictures of damage. Found out the doors were left unlocked for who knows how long. They didnt inform me of a issue that could have put me and other people in danger. When that issue came about I tried getting a tow from them. The answering machine was full and no answer. But I got a text from them, I told them the situation and I never recieved a reply back. Gave them a call over the Labor Day weekend. Max called back almost immediately and gave me a reasonable time frame. My car was on the 4th floor of the parking garage which has a low ceiling. In the process of getting my car down he was actually able to roll start it. Ended up not charging me anything and even gave me a follow up call to make sure I got it home. Amazing service!

They are exceptional! I had to pull over off the road in order to put my temporary tire on due to having a flat tire. I literally pulled into their parking lot. They came over and helped put the donut on for me. I then returned on the next working business day and they made sure to help me out. Sadly, I did have some other issues with the front end of my car due to parts needing to be replaced; but they made sure to let me know what was wrong and how to remedy that situation. Their prices are really good and if I could give more than 5 stars; I would in a heartbeat! Short version: Not the place for fast service, and more pricey then other places in the area. Unsure of the quality of service (Edit to say that quality of service/repairs was disappointing)Long version:The guys all seemed super great, especially Will. But the service could have been better. Not the place for fast service!! I was told it would take one day. After that I was told a couple of other times that it would ready on a certain day, and it was not. After the second delay, Max promised it would be done on the next Monday, and it was not. All in all, it took 4 or 5 days. I was told the delays were due to problems with the part(s) received from the vendor.I was also initially that a ticking noise was due to the beltabelt tensioner needing to be replaced. However, after they replaced it Ive still heard the ticking. Im not sure if I was told wrong at the start, if the repair wasnt done well, or if its something else. I would have them look at it again, but Im wary of not getting my car back for days on end. Can also confirm the trouble starting is still occurring/was not fixed with their repairs.Lastly, compared to other mechanics in the area their prices are on the higher side, which I wouldnt mind if the service also felt as though it was on that level.However it was not all bad, hence the 2 stars. To their credit, they do a great job of explaining the repairs that are needed. They also did keep me updated fairly regularly. And as I said earlier, they all seem like legitimately nice people. Edit: I should also mention that they eventually got a more expensive part from a different vendor and didnt charge me the price difference.And in case youre interested: the repairs including replacing a radiator hose, engine oil cooler and belt tensioner.

It was no fun to have to get the car towed, but the pleasant experience with Stryker sure helped lessen the pain. Highly recommended. (PS. Also offered the convenience to email the receipt. Insurance took the emailed receipt with no problem.)

Max was wonderful! I had locked my car with my dog in the back seat while I ran in to my work to get my phone out of my locker, not realizing I had dropped my keys in the passenger front seat. Was in town for work and the truck blew a belt and were stuck on the roadside, called other local companies to get a tow to a shop to replace the belt. Waited around about 4 hours and then googled and found Stryker towing and talked to Max. Within less than an hour he had a belt picked up and hooked the truck up to tow it to his shop at 9:30pm and got it all fixed up and got the truck back on the road so we could head to Kentucky. Had to get a box truck from work pulled out of a ditch last night & I called Stryker. They were at my location within a half hour and he had me pulled out & on my way in no time flat. The guy that came was very knowledgeable, professional and gave me a great rate. My Ford Fusions power steering locked up on a Saturday afternoon 20 miles north of Bloomington on my way down from Chicago, which rendered the vehicle unsafe to drive. Stryker was the only repair shop nearby that was available 24/7. The owner, Max, was able to run a diagnostic test on my Fusion that evening and was very responsive through the whole process. It was ultimately found that the power steering issue was residual from a hit & run incident, which my vehicle was recently repaired for. In the end, my insurance ended up covering the whole repair and Max made sure that my car get the appropriate parts.If youre in a bind or are just looking for a trustworthy mechanic, Max and the rest of the Stryker team are your guys! Youll get knowledgeable, detailed explanations of the issues at hand and immediate feedback throughout the process.

I had a very poor experience. I was lied to twice by Max about when my vehicle would be looked at and I had to be the one to call and check the progress. He knew I was from out of town and was in a time sensitive situation. They replaced my battery and did not reinstall the metal guard that holds the battery in place. The service manager uses sarcasm to in a passive aggressive manner.Wont recommend.Wont go back.

Feb 1st, 2020One more five-star review for the timely support before Christmas.Our car was messed up by Midas in the east-side of Bloomington. They (Midas) changed our cars front axles and messed up our steering wheel alignemt and even didnt tight up our right-front wheel! It was Christmas Eve and we were about to depart (drive) on that day for our road trip to Florida. I took my car back to Midas and they said that they were short of staff to check my alignment (that time I didnt know that they didnt fasten my cars wheel well) and directed me to the west-side Midas. Midas on the west side checked the car and told me that the east-side didnt do well the job of installing the axle and saying the our cars transmission mount holder was malfunctioned (one more problem ....what!?) and they are not able to fix them in a day so they suggested us to rent a car for our road trip. It was really frustrated..Then I thought of Max and Doug and gave them a call. Without a second hesitate, Max told me to pull over my car to their place. They checked our car and figured out that axle didnt install well, front wheel didnt fasten tightly which caused the trembling when we were driving, the alignment was messed up and the transmission mount holder is still working. AND then, took them around 2 hours, they fixed everything for us with a reasonable price. Yes, on the December 24th, 2019. They save our day and we made the trip by driving 3000 miles without any problems.We chose Midas for routine oil change and maintenance just because they were near to our house. We were wrong and will never go back to Midas. Thanks Max and Doug. Surely we will driver further to your place for your to take care of our car and keep us safe. Thank you and Happy New Year.
