Traveling back to Ohio from Voyagers National Park. My truck needed immediate repair. Made it to Mall of America as planned, but needed to get repair done quick. Dan and his crew took care of us. Dropped my truck off at the hotel for me after 10pm, and trusted me to settle the bill the next day. Saving me tons of money and headaches to get home and back to work. Possibly the best customer service of my life.

I had a last minute emergency and needed maintenance done on my car asap. Dan got my car taken care of in two days instead of the next week, which is what I would have had to wait anywhere else. A very fair price too.

Owner helped me out after hours, and it cost very little because the problem was a simple one. Lucas A below doesnt mention that repeated overheating can blow headgaskets or worse, and those repairs are never fun even when theyre cheap. Id bring my car here if I was nearby or was in over my head.

We were in the Twin Cities for the weekend when the brakes on our van suddenly started grinding and we had to get them fixed in a hurry (this was late afternoon on a Saturday). Not only did they get our van fixed with no prior appointment, they were able to point our how the previous servicer of the brakes had screwed something up which caused the issue to happen in the first place. Whats more, the price they charged was significantly less than I expected. Id recommend DJ Petes to anyone, and I really wish they were located in my city so that I could bring all my vehicles there. They were a lifesaver!

My car was shaking and stalling so I brought my car in for repairs because its the closest shop near work. They charged me $500 for repairs (2 parts). I picked up my car and 5 minutes later it stopped running while I was on 494 during rush hour in the rain and I had to call a tow truck. The next day, they fixed the actual problem, but said they took out one of the parts they repaired to compensate for the tow and said my car would be fine anyway because the repair wasnt really necessary. I essentially paid $500 for a wrong diagnosis, labor for 2 parts, and only received 1 part.

DJ Petes is the best mechanic around. They always give a fair price and let me know what needs to be done right away and what things can wait. Since I am on a limited budget, I really appreciate the honest service they give. I have even asked friends in regards to their pricing, and have been told they cant be beat (since I have no mechanical skills, I couldnt tell for myself). They are willing to work around tight schedules and tight budgets, so go to petes when you need work done!
