Bathmax of Bloomingdale performed the job of installing a new bathtub liner and a shower liner. Although they did what appeared to be good installation job, the caulking was sub-par. In both the shower and the bathtub liner, the poor caulking did not completely fill the gaps left where the wall liner meets the shower base and where the bathtub liner meets the wall tile. In both instances they left hair-line gaps that allowed water to seep in behind the shower wall and between the bathtub liner. When you step in to the bathtub, water squishes between the liner and the tub. I made several phone calls to them over the course of five weeks and they say someone will contact me but no one ever calls back. Its about seven weeks into the problem (2-23-2015) and still no service. Their life-time warranty is very cleverly worded to include defects in materials but not workmanship or seals. Avoid this company. If you develop a problem they will not service you. I filed a grievance with the Illinois attorney generals office and am waiting to hear back.

We were not satisfied with work provided by Bathmax representative Greg Pens.We signed an agreement for remodeling the bathroom with a special wall tile design, and installing an IKEA double sink vanity and medicine cabinet.1. The plumbing job for the IKEA double sink vanity was not measured and installed to accommodate drawers.2. Even after fixing one valve handle was touching a drawer and had to be removed.3. They did rearrange plumbing by tearing the previously accurately finished wall and rearranging plumbing in patch work condition.4. A towel hanger was attached to the wall with non matching exposed screws and didnt hold to the wall with the first attempt to hang the towel.5. On the day of payment after checking all receipts for miscellaneous purchases we found two receipts doubled that could cause an overcharge of around $150.6. Vinyl floor tiles were scratched.Completion in an unsatisfactory condition was delayed for 4 extra days. Accuracy, attention to details, ability to productively communicate with us and transfer information to the installer was way below average. We did pay in full and left with a disappointing experience of how a beautifully designed product from IKEA could be mistreated in unwilling hands.
