We were expecting some equipment for a Hospital ICU that was vital to their operations. The equipment was scheduled to be delivered to us on 4/2/2021. The shipment never arrived that day. On 4/5/2021, I called their corporate office asking where it was. A lady, which was rude, said that it was an appointment only delivery and that I needed to schedule an appointment for delivery. This was the first I heard about this. So she transferred me to a scheduling woman. She asked when I would like to make the appointment and I told her it was already supposed to be here so I need it ASAP. She scheduled the appointment for the next day 4/6/2021. On 4/6/2021, again, the equipment did not come. I called that afternoon after seeing via tracking that it was STILL sitting at their terminal. The lady didnt apologize or even seem to care, but told me they were backed up and that it would be 4/7/2021 before we would get it. On 4/7/2021, the item arrived around mid-day. The driver was polite and professional. In all of this, it was made to seem like I should have known where it was and to call them to schedule a delivery. Nobody seemed to care that it sat literally less than an hour away from our office for 5 1/2 days before we received this vital equipment for a hospital ICU. I would highly recommend using a different freight company because they dont care when they make a mistake, and then try to make it seem like it is no big deal. To those ICU patients, it was a huge deal.
This company and their affiliate yrc freight needs to be put out of business. I ordered some fireworks online and they were the company transporting them. I never got a call when they arrived in Birmingham,Al like the company that shipped them said I should receive them. I called and asked about my order to only be told it was lost or couldn’t be found. It’s like they didn’t even care but we all know that either the driver or a worker on their dock stole my fireworks to enjoy off my money. What a coincidence because it is two days away from Fourth of July. What a crooked business. Will make sure I check to see if any company I order from ships through them so I can stop and report them.
I ordered some things and they were never delivered on the scheduled date. I called and ended up having to drive up to Birmingham 2 hours away from home to get the things i had ordered. Fast forward 3 weeks later i order some more aftermarket stuff and holland is the carrier. They receive my stuff at their terminal in Birmingham Al. On a Tuesday at 2pm. It freaking sits there for 9 days! I finally get someone on the ohone and its just excuse after excuse! The decided to use a third party shipper to get my things delivered. Now nobody knows where any of my stuff is! I will never use Holland again NEVER! and would NEVER recommend them ! They are unprofessional and a piss poor excuse for a shipping company. I wish they gave negative stars because even 1 is too damn many !
If I could give less than 1 Star I would. The main call center in MI can not manage basic task or listen to very simple questions or instructions. After talking to three different people I got three different answers. I was told when to expect delivery which was incorrect and its still setting in Nashville as opposed to Bham. No one cannot tell me why. The customer service gentlemen in MI hung the phone up very rudely on me in mid sentence. After three calls I finally have a number for the Bham terminal (which is not published). Bham staff appear to be more helpful but the jury is still out. First and last time I will allow anything to be shipped with Holland if I have an option. I have made big changes in schedule and equipment which is now over a two span just to receive my freight. I can understand why I see so many 1 Stars in their reviews.
Do not ask this company to deliver anything for you. You will not get it on time it takes this company 2 weeks to deliver two pallets from Birmingham Alabama to Northport Alabama after calling the terminals for a week I finally got my pallets my sale drop in my store
First time (and last) to use Holland. Closing time arrives, but no truck to be seen. I call and am told that the driver should be here in one hour and fifteen minutes...will that be alright. I responded that I guess it would be ok as I was being held hostage because my shipment had to go out. The customer service rep gave me the lame excuse that they were still making deliveries. At 3:00 pm? I dont think so. I have watched as two of their drivers passed by on the street in front of my location. No stars here. Will never use again and will advise others to find another freight company for their needs. They get one star because google wont let me give them none.
Well most of my experience with Holland trucking on the road most of their drivers have been courteous but then you that one that wants to show his ass like the one on Hwy 140 in Floyd county Ga. about 8:30 or9:00 pm let it be known he was tailgating being obnoxios driving very unsafe mannerthis is atwo lane road under construction the driver was tailgating my wife and she told me she got up to an unsafe speed herself to get him off her rear bumper and then when they came to sstraightway he passed her at a speed around 70 in a 55 zone now we not gonna put with much of this next time the law will be called and I promise if you dont do something we will put the police on your drivers.this should not have happened and will not happen again I hope this goes further than a good laugh in the break room.We are truckers ourselves and dont want nobody to get on trouble but If it need be then so be it.
