Nice facility but a really big event could fill up the parking area relatively quick. Area beautification needs to take place within the outdoor track.

Facility was nice, but not a great venue for volleyball. Courts are 3 across. Hard to see middle court. That was our team, circled.

We are so fortunate to live in the Birmingham area where our kids can participate in indoor track & field meets at the Birmingham CrossPlex. This facility is top notch. It is kept extremely clean and they employ a very polite and friendly staff. I see the often encouraging the track participants. There was even one time where my son left is phone and they took the time to keep it safe and arrange for us to pick it up after hours.

It was my first time attending a meeting here and it was a good experience. Everything was cleaned in-between sessions and social distanced. Large National Indoor Track Meet was organized and fast!

Had a great time in Alabama. The security staff was great with reminders to wear mask but reasonable about letting us get a team picture without a mask before we left the event.

Attended a district swim meet. First time at the CrossPlex. Great facilities and friendly staff. Pools are huge!

Nice place. But shouldnt charge for parking... Good to see Birmingham with something to call their own.... There were kids from all races,schools and ages... Family friendly environment.

Amazing, multi sport and multi million dollar facility! Super clean. Super friendly staff. Security keeps a watch and tight reign on rowdy fans (AHSAA Volleyball State Championships).

Our 2nd time here. Its a great facility. We arrived about 45 mins early and had no issues getting tickets. Our parking attendant had a great attitude! Thanks

It was a great place for my indoor state meet for track!!

Took our daughter here for her first indoor track and field meet. We were quite surprised at this venue. The way everything was laid out and ran kept things going smoothly. There was one incident that held things up a bit but all and all they did a great job. The staff was friendly and helpful. We look forward to returning here for future meets.The food wasnt so bad either.

Impressive place. Facilities are great. Was there for indoor track. Swimming and volleyball were also going on within the complex. Eating within walking distance is limited. If you are there for the full day, recommend a cooler in your vehicle. No outside food/drinks allowed. Concessions are good, fairly reasonable price.

Attended business meeting there upstairs in conference room and overflow area. Was able to hear and enjoy everything without disturbances from the ongoing basketball games. The facility affords plenty of parking, hospitable staff, security, and food vendors to make your visit pleasant.

Nice place, the food is outrageously priced. 3$ for a 1L coke. 5$ hamburgers. NOT allowed to bring in outside food. Athletes should be allowed to eat their chose of food while competing. Put your kids food in their backpacks.

I have traveled from Georgia to the Birmingham CrossPlex for the past three years to watch my niece run track. This is a great indoor facility. It was well designed and very clean. The staff was also very friendly. I would definitely recommend it to others.

Great place for a swim meet.

Every time I have to go here for a swim meet, I dread it. There are way too many things going on in a tight location. Parking is absurd. Can not accommodate the number of co-temporal events. Not enough seating for spectators either. Kids sitting in the stair aisles blocking them and running all over the place. The food options are paltry, especially if you have any sort of allergy. The coffee is worse than from a gas station. When you’re stuck here for hours with no food or caffeine because you can’t leave the building or else you’ll be walking from a half mile away when you try to park again, it’s absolutely miserable. >:-{And the competition pool is in the wrong orientation for spectators.Oh and no wi-fi.

Great indoor track facility. The staff works hard to keep everything clean. I watched one bathroom attendant give a girl cleaning supplies and helped her clean her shoes. 😍 Concessions are good which is helpful when sitting through long meets. Everyone involved with this facility does a great job.

The crossplex is a nice facility for sporting events! Dont come hungry though! Concessions have long slow lines with a limited menu. Id think theyd make so much more if they diversified their menu. The bathrooms are clean! Yayyyy! The parking crew was really helpful!

What an amazing venue for sports! First the facility. Its top notch and always looks great! Way to go to the employees who keep it that way! Next, the staff. They go above and beyond in every way possible. From maintenance to security they are always on top of it! Theres always someone there to not only navigate you through the center but keep you safe as well. I highly recommend this place!

Went for a star swim meet and enjoyed our experience. The facility was clean, the workers were friendly and helpful and the police officers were so kind to the kids. Overall great experience!

This was the location for a Circuit Assembly of Jehovahs Witnesses. Anybody that really knows these folks knows that no matter where they meet the place is always cleaner when they leave it then it is when they found it. High marks to the God Jehovah that they worship exclusively. His people are a clean people with high morals. I will be attending with them again.

Great place. Only thing I had an issue with is they wont let you bring outside food in or even water. Im vegan and the concession stand doesnt have anything for you but water.

Ive been here for several events: a concert, graduations, Back to School Institute, etc. the facility is nice. They have finally fixed the air issue because it used to be a sweatbox. I wish the city wouldve thought to add additional parking instead of that grassy area though.

Absolutely fantastic place to hold track, field, or aquatic sports of all age brackets.

The pool is outstanding but very cold. if you have any type of meet here i inform you they will not let you bring outside food you have to buy from inside we usually sneak food in with sports bags. to be honest the pool area is like auburns with the balcony and set up but in many differentif your gonna swim bring sandals your feet will b raw from concrete and at one end the walls are like sandpaper getting out i hope this helped you

Beautiful facility for indoor track meets,. Very clean and easy to see everything from wherever you are seated. Huge negative about the facility: food sold is unhealthy and overpriced considering they dont allow the athletes to bring in their own food or beverage.

This is a hidden gem in Birmingham that I bet most people dont know exists. It is a world class track and field and swimming facility.

Birmingham’s Crossplex was one of the best facilities we have visited. The area is covered with employees and security.

The Birmingham CrossPlex was an excellent venue to host volleyball and swimming for the National Senior Games. There were 15 courts for volleyball and stands on both sides for spectators. High above the pool are also seats to watch that competition.

I love the facility greatly dislike the manager owner what ever he is and what ever his name is . He takes his job WAY TOO SERIOUSLY. At this last instance with him he treats me like I was some under cover agent sneaking into the crossplex when I simply WALKED THROUGH THE FRONT DOOR AND I guess THE EMPLOYEES WERENT PAYING ATTENTION. this hasnt been the first time hes talked reckless to me or people I know. Ill never go here to. JUST Practice . Only if there is a schedule practice.

In an attempt to provide a regional class athletic facility, Birmingham has forgotten to include the needs of spectators. Access for those with disabilities is not only poorly marked, it is also relegated to a few fringe, perimeter spectating venues. Also, the inability to provide adequate spectator seating was never more glaring than on MLK Day 2019, as Section3 was cordoned off and seating restricted. Those teams needing seating were out of luck and were forced to utilize the corridors underneath the seating sections. Parents too were affected and officials offered no solutions to help solve an already cramped and difficult seating arrangement. NCAA might want these issues addressed before future meets. The problems will only get worse.

Pay to park and pay to get inside complex. Bought a Nathans hotdog and it looked like it had been cooked for days! All dried out, shriveled up and was raw on the inside. Returned it. The chicken tender basket with fries, on the other hand, was very good.

One of the best track and field, aquatics and arena. I have seen volleyball, basketball, and wrestling competitions held in the arena. Concerts can be held there as well.

Great place for family.

Attended several track meets here. Due to number of athletes, meets are literally 10 - 12 hour marathons with 20 or more heats in virtually every running event. Parking and concessions are pricey but that is normal for any Bham function. A great facility but unless you are a diehard track and field fan, parent or athlete, youll be disappointed in the time you have to spend there to see more than two or three events.
