I met with her the following day and had 2 job interviews less than 24 hours after that. I immediately got a job later that afternoon following the interviews! I was contacted and interviewed by Nichole, who was fantastic when I met her. I had to reach out to her with all follow ups and she was very slow to respond & keep me up to date on any progress. She did say that she sent out my resume, but I ended up finding a job on my own. She didnt even respond when I emailed her to tell her that I was hired. Hopefully others will have a better experience than I did.

Huge disappointment. I went to meet a recruiter gave her all my information & NEVER heard from her again. I have a degree & a great work history so there was no reason for them to not contact me. **update** I came into the office 3 months ago and the person who I met with never called which is accurate information. I am not just sitting here wishing to leave bad reviews. I am leaving a review bc I would hate for the next person to wait on this place to help. I read reviews before coming into the office, and despite reading how people were unsatisfied with this company I came in. I have a hard time believing my resume was sent out & you couldn’t land me an interview, but as soon as I left a review I have a call from you seeing if I can interview Monday.

I moved 3.5 hours from my hometown to give my daughter a better life. I wanted to find a job quick to get us settled. I came in to speak to Jessica Prewitt at 8:30 AM and by 2:30 PM, I had a job. She was very quick to schedule interviews and worked hard on getting me settled. She was very reassuring and positive. I’d recommend dealing with her or any of the VIP Personnel again without any hesistation.

I went into the office in regards to a full-time position they had posted. I honestly have my doubts that these are actually openings and not just something to draw folks in. I was told I would be contacted the following week. Ive had no response via email or telephone.Good customer service involves timely and accurate follow up, regardless of the decision of placing candidates into positions. Ive had absolutely none and find this a very poor reflection of your company and those you are supposed to be assisting, corporate or employee.Highly unprofessional. I would not recommend this company to anyone and suggest just trudging through on your own. You can guarantee no waste of time that way and will probably have better success. I did, in the week waiting for a return phone call or email.

Just reading from the comments you can quickly tell they are not in favor of equal employment opportunities . 4/5 stars are from one group while the lower stars are from another. Julie Nolan of VIP Personnel is simply the best in the business! I have worked with Julie on a couple of jobs and she has always actively helped and placed me great positions. She is a fabulous communicator, quick to respond and is always in your corner. I have worked with several staffing agencies simultaneously and Julie always comes out with the perfect placement where others seem to lose me in the stack after a couple of weeks of barely trying. My experience with VIP Personal was unbelievable. I would advise anyone searching for Temporary or Permanent employment to give them a call. Kathryn Lowery was the best I ever worked with. She was very professional in person, by phone and email. When I came for my intake or interview she thought she had a job lined up for me but she found out the next day the company went in another direction. But she informed me immediately and stated she still had other options for me and would be sending out my resume immediately. She kept in contact with me by email and by phone at least twice a week which is very rare today. And in the end the job she originally wanted to place me in called back stating the previous hire done by the company not through VIP Personal did not work out. She sent me on 2 interviews with that company and now she was able to get placed me with the company starting on Monday as Permanent employment. Even though i did this, she did not stop sending my resume out. She called me just a week later with a start date for a TEMPORARY POSITION. I was only supposed to be helping a company out for a week. That was 3 weeks ago and i am now a PERMANENT EMPLOYEE!! Without her help, i would have never even considered this company! I am so very grateful for VIP Personnel!

This is a staffing firm that is not going to just hand you a job on a silver platter. You must have a sterling resume for them to present to their prospective employers. Once placed in a position you are expected to work hard to prove you are worth investing in. Many people feel they should be able to waltz in to a staffing agency and shimmy out with a job, regardless of education or professional experience. That is not the case. VIP communicated with me daily during my job hunt and had an interview for me at least once a week. They listened to my needs and took into account my experience. They did not try to place me in industries that I had no interest in or jobs that would be detrimental to my overall professional development. Due to their great work and dedication, I have been placed in an office that I love and a position that is perfectly suited to my education and skill level. Very disappointed at my experience with this agency. My recruiter was extremely pushy when trying to contact me via phone, even though I had explained I cannot take calls at my workplace and that email would be preferred. She even called my husband during his work day attempting to contact me! Unacceptable. They ended up placing me in a less than stellar position with a high turnover rate that they are very aware of. I was hoping for a job that had advancement opportunities and a good benefit package for my family, my position had neither. Applied at the beginning of September. Ive called several times and was assigned to Mrs. Nolan. Every time I call shes either on lunch or Im sent to her voice mail. She gave me the wrong email 3 times even after I repeated it to her. She hasnt called or emailed me or anything not once. I called her today, she was on lunch so I left another voice mail. Poor communication, very unprofessional. Ive gotten more interviews and call backs ON MY OWN. This company is full of bull, dont even waste your time!

I met with my recruiter only one time: she had me do a series of computer competency tests and then we talked briefly about what kind of jobs I was looking for. At one point she told me I have a company that would love your background! which had me all excited.I never heard from her, or anyone there, again. And when I would call she would never be in the office. Even after I left voicemails I never heard from her. They dont care at all about you as an individual. You are just another body walking through the door.

Dont recommend if youre looking for immediate work. I had an interview about a month ago with Melissa and she never called me back, or returned my emails for that matter. Complete waste of my time.

Worst temp agency in Birmingham by far they never call you back, when you come in for a interview they are late if they see you at all, they switch up job recruiters and then the secretary there never seems to know what she is doing very unorganized. After calling several times for my personal job recruiter they lady told me not call ever again and hung the phone up in my face. You couldnt pay me a million dollars to work for this low budget, unprofessional, rude, horrible company. I WISH I COULD GIVE THEM ZERO STARS!!!!!!!!

A few weeks back I sent my résumé to them for a job but they never wanted to talk about the job. It was pretty obvious the job didnt exist and that they just wanted a file in a folder if the right thing came around. I drove from Gadsden and had taken a vacation day for it.Its only been a couple of weeks and I got a call about a job they are starting to line me up with to see what happens. I feel a little skeptical but I am going to move forward. I expect to be updating this review very soon.

I responded to an RN position posted on the VIP website and was set up for an interview the next day, 10 minutes before I arrived the VIP recruiter called and said that she is tied up in meetings for the day, so she asked me to reschedule the appointment. The second time I came into the office she said there were no openings available and that she would contact me when something came up. That was a month ago and still not one phone call or email. I am a nurse with 6yrs experience. They waste your time and gas for nothing. Very disappointed.
