Very slow business. Unless you want to drive a rental for months, don’t go here. They have had my friend’s car now for 64 days and counting. At no point along the way have I gotten a phone call about the status. I have had to call every time. Every deadline I have been given has been surpassed. Not a reliable company and poor communication.

Joe Hudsons Birmingham location is not recommended. My car was taken there due to Gardendales location not accepting new customers as of late June. It would have been October before Gardendales branch could help. I had decided to release my car to the insurance company thus I needed to remove any personal belongings. I showed up and discovered that my car was parked in a poorly fenced in lot. The car had been ransacked and the stereo and other items were stolen. The receptionist informed me they have been having theft issues and apologized. The trunk was left open and it was flooded from past rain. Joe Hudson provided zero coverage while in their possession. Poor fencing and knowledge that theft was an issue but continue to leave vehicles in this lot. Do not trust your vehicle will be taken care of unless it is written in an agreement and you are assured it will be protected. The emotional insult can not be repaired. Such a large company and this location will not build a secure storage shelter for vehicles. Knowing theft is ramped.

Wish I had read the reviews first. They promised me my vehicle back in 2 weeks and it took 8 weeks. They lost my remote and car keys. Suddenly after receiving my vehicle back theres a Crack in the radiator. I wouldnt recommend them to anyone. To hell with this company

I had the best experience with Joe Hudson. They were extremely professional and kept me informed on the status on my car. When I picked my car up, they had cleaned the inside and the outside. It looks like a brand new car. They were so nice and polite. I would definitely recommend them!!

I am calling Joe Hudson’s Whitney goes above and beyond to make sure everything is handled in the most efficient And a timely manner. All the guys in the shop did a fantastic job performing the repairs and getting my car back quickly. Matter of fact I dropped it off on a Tuesday morning and picked it up Friday morning of the same week.I would definitely recommend Joe Hudson’s downtown to anyone needing anything done to their automobile.

My car was hit by another driver and the rear bumper was in bad shape. I took it in for repairs and all was done the next day. My car looks brand new again. Staff was amazing. I dont usually leave reviews but I had to do it this time. I definitely recommend this shop.

Even though we got off to a rocky start because it took a month to schedule an appointment to get my car repaired, the overall experience was awesome. They fixed my car in TWO days, and Darren and Josh went above and beyond. Not only did my car look great, the repair and a wash, but they put air in one of my tires and got rid of that pesky check engine light. Great customer service all around.

Very Professional, spent time with me explaining what was going to happen with repairs. The waiting area was pleasant and they offered coffee, water, etc. while I waited. They ordered the parts they would need, and then let me know when they would arrive so I could bring my car in at that time and get my rental car. I was not at fault in the accident so State Farm covered all charges. It took about 2 weeks for my repairs to be finished. Joe Hudson also sent me text updates on how the repairs were going.My car looked like nothing ever happened. I will useJoe Hudson again if needed, but pray I won’t have anymore accidents! Ive gone to Joe Hudsons Collision Center twice (yes, TWICE) in the past 6 months. Both times were for the same exact thing- a person hit my car in a parking lot and the back bumper needed to be replaced. Both times, not only was everyone friendly, informative, and competent, they went above and beyond. Jennifer is very friendly both at the front desk and on the phone, which is an essential asset to any business. Speaking of the lobby area, they have AN EXCELLENT coffee machine that is so amazing its worth mentioning.In both instances, Ive spent most of my time dealing with Clayton. Hes very kind and does his job well. Hes easy to talk to and explains all parts of the sometimes-confusing insurance side of things as well as how the actual repair will go. I cant sing his praises enough. He even filled my tires with air just to be nice! Also, whenever you have work done there, they detail your car, which Ive never seen anywhere else. Kerry is THE MAN when it comes to this! He makes my car look brand new, seriously.Dont take your car anywhere but Joe Hudsons. Theyre professional, timely, and do great work!

I had a wreck few weeks ago. I was looking for a place to get my car fixed. I saw reviews online and noticed Joe Hudson has awesome reviews and many happy customers. I decided to go to them. From the start to finish they did a fantastic job. Kept me updated all the way. The car does not look like work has been done on it. I am very happy with them and will use them again.

I have had 2 accidents both not my fault and both times its gone to Joe Hudson. Darren has been amazing both times as have the entire staff. I am having some issues with some suspension work but they arent the ones who do that work. I am confident they will assist me in resolving this issue.

Lots of people can do bodywork. Lots of people can paint. But not everybody puts the customer at the center. The people here were incredible, from the office manager Jennifer to my contact person Clayton, even to the painter I met. The shop is immaculate. The culture was contagious. Not to mention that the paint matched perfectly. When they were done, my car was clean inside and out. I wondered if they had detailed the car! Well worth the drive to downtown Birmingham.

Called me to let me know they found money in my car. Told me it was in someones safe and that i could come and get it. Went there once, was told the man who knew the safe combo wasnt there. Went again and was told they lost it and they would send me a check. Called a week later to ask about the check and was told that they are not responsible for anything left in the cars. So, someone from there has $100 that doesnt belong to them. Dont know if they are a good body shop or not but I would stay away.

Had to have bumper repairs on my gold 2007 Lexus. It took them a while to match the gold color but when they did match the color it was perfect. My rental car company (Hertz) picked me up from the collision center and everyone was so nice and professional. I highly recommend Joe Hudson for any car repairs you need to make on your car.

I am extremely pleased with the service at Joe Hudsons Collision Center! The staff goes above and beyond what I ever expected to ensure that my car was not only repaired, but even returning my car in a better condition cleanliness wise then I left it. The staff treats you like you are a priority and not like youre just another number and their kindness and service is genuine. Even in the beginning when I accidentally walked into the garage instead of where I was supposed to be, I had a gentleman stop what he was doing and take the time to walk me over to where I needed to be. They promptly return phone calls and emails and even provided me with a link showing me what stage of the repair my vehicle was in so that I knew more definitively when it would be finished. Even after things were paid for, as I was getting my car I was dropping all of my things transferring stuff from the rental car and people rushed over to help. You may think that thats common courtesy but not everyone treats you like a valuable customer after theyve already received payment. I just really appreciate the extra effort that this locations staff both inside the office and in the garage gives to the car and the customer. Special thank you Clayton Costello. As loquacious as I can be when I am anxious, he was able to set my mind at ease and explain everything in detail whenever I had a question or concern.

Snow days resulted in my bumper needing replacing and the lady who hit mes insurance company referred me to Joe Hudsons, formerly Watkins, my repair shop of choice. Since my last visit and with the name change the office is completely updated, and the service streamlined. I was assigned a coordinator/estimator, Chris, and he handled the who repair expeditiously keeping me informed of the progress by online messages and phone calls. My car was returned perfectly repaired and totally detailed, an extra bonus!

I am fully satisfied with the work on my car, and with the way I was treated. They remembered my name, explained the work to me in a respectful manner, and completed the work in a timely manner.

Just be ready to leave your vehicle for awhile. We had an appointment, at Joe Hudson, in Birmingham, and they didnt have us now. Said we could leave car, but they still would have to order parts. Told us it would be 10 days to order parts and fix car. I called and they said it would be ready, by end of that week, which it wasnt. Then, said Monday morning it would be ready, still wasnt, finally at 4:50pm, Monday afternoon, it was completed. I just think they must have more business than they can handle.The car looks great though, so thats a plus.

I had to take my truck to Joe Hudson twice within 4 months because my truck was side swiped twice and I can say both times they were awesome. They give a great and fair price without over charging you, they keep u updated on everything they do to your vehicle, do not take them long to complete the work, the customer service is awesome cause everyone there is just so curtious and nice.. but last but not least they do a awesome detail on your vehicle when they are done. They wash and vacuum your vehicle so good it looks like it came off the showroom floor. I have to share one great experience that happened today.. I left my my truck bed cover at the shop and they drove 30 minutes to my house to bring it to me and put it on for me!!! Now thats great customer service. My lowly Toyota was treated like a king amongst Porsche, Mercedes, and BMWvehicles being repaired in this facility. Great coordination with my insurance company and timely updates with the progress of repair resulted in an easy and painless process. The company is composed of highly skilled enthusiasts, who were as passionate as myself in wanting a proper repair-- end result was as new condition, as if nothing happened. A good example of an excellent facility with excellent people providing excellent results.

This place went above and beyond what one would normally expect from a body shop. No person wants to be in a position where he or she has to call on a collision center, but you will be pleased if you choose JHCC. First and foremost, you can expect clear communication. JHCC will tell you what they are going to do, tell you when they are doing it, and tell you what they did when they are done. From initial estimate to vehicle pick-up, you can expect calls, texts and emails for status updates.Most importantly, the work done on my vehicle was exceptional - down to replacing a decal in the appropriate spot. Every person I spoke to was knowledgable about vehicle maintenance and I never felt talked down to or oversold. I did actually have a small issue after I picked my vehicle up that needed to be addressed (due to part delivery and not the work of the shop). The shop identified it immediately and went as far to pick my vehicle up while I was at my office, and deliver it back to me in incredible timing. This proved to me that they stand by their warranty and customer service. Again, the communication, the accessible locations, the quality workmanship and overall experience was unparalleled.

I arrived at 5:04 to pick up my van. The woman at the desk was frustrated because you close at 5. She huffed and acted like I was inconveniencing her. At one point she said she had to call her husband to pick up their child because she wasn’t paying by the minute for being late. I had told a woman at 8:30 when I called to check if it was ready that I would be there by 4:30. I ran late because my daughter got lost when picking me up.I ask Wally if there was a charge for an estimate when I dropped my van off. He said there was not. As the woman was arranging for my car to be brought around I told her this. She said you can’t expect them to look at it and not pay. Had I been told it would have been 100 to look at it, that might have influenced getting one thing repaired. She then told me Toyota would charge more which is wrong because Toyota looked at it and said it was a body repair.She was very rude the entire time she was helping me. I have had a lot of work done when this shop was Watkins and I will not be back.
