I brought in a JRX 225 out of Tuscaloosa for repair. First of all, not only was that the best customer service Ive received in years, but this guy took one look at it and gave me a Yea I can fix that in 45 minutes for $200, to which I ecstatically accepted. I was expecting a few weeks turnaround, but no - they have very common parts in stock so they can install replacements at a moments notice. If you have a busted speaker, take it to this place! Even calling them to ask their hours and a few questions was very pleasant - I didnt get the get off the phone vibe. Id give this place more stars if I could.

I have a 1960s era speaker set, where original style parts were not available today. Dixie was careful to select parts that were as close to the original style as possible, by careful search and a little trial and error. Knowledgeable and good communication. I had taken out a blown sub in my girlfriends 4Runner and needed to replace it. So I Googled speakers for a 2006 Toyota 4Runner and saw Dixie Speaker Repair near me in Trussville, AL. I decided to go by and get an estimate on the repair since there are only a few aftermarket subs that will fit in the stock enclosure, and most are expensive. The owner quoted me $55 for the repair! Had it repaired that day, but the glue for the foam had to dry for 48 hours. No problem at all. Got the sub back and it looked great, like brand new! Installed it back in her 4Runner and it sounded amazing! I would definitely recommend Dixie Speaker Repair for anyone who wants to save some money and repair the speakers they have for cheap.

They are a 5 star business for sure.I was a little nervous about sending my valuable stuff to a place I didnt know anything about, but I am so glad I did it. They refoamed a set of 15 woofers and saved my humongous old stereo speakers from the early 90s. The workmanship was superb and the cost was very reasonable, even after paying for shipping.As I type this review my favorite speakers are once again rattling the windows and they sound as good as new. There is no way in 2016 to get sound like this for the money I spent on this repair. Send your fine old broken speakers to these guys!

When the original 1950s 12 ElectroVoice driver in my father’s old Klipsch corner horn (from the days before stereo) literally crumbled into dust, I checked to see if Dixie was still around. As a teenager they repaired more than a few black widows when I destroyed them trying to figure out how Jimi got that sound! 😎 As I walked in the door a voice from behind the counter said “ah, an old Klipsch driver”! and I knew I was in the right place ;-). Of course being a 12”, there was no “kit” for it, but they were able to completely re-cone the driver and now some 10-15 years later, it still sounds just as good as its younger brother Khorn sitting in the opposite corner of the room. If your speaker is recent and you just want to make sure it matches the original specs as engineered, or if it’s a beautiful old classic or antique driver that is no longer made, these guys are unbelievably good and their expertise is unparalleled! You will not be disappointed and I dare say you may be just as happy with the cost!!!
